Apartheid Israël, 60 ans de crimes

Famed Israeli pianist now a Palestinian, too

DANIEL Barenboim, the world renowned Israeli pianist and conductor, has taken Palestinian citizenship and said he believed his rare new status could serve as a model for peace between the two peoples.

"I have also accepted it because I believe that the destinies of … the Israeli people and the Palestinian people are inextricably linked," Barenboim said at the weekend. "We are blessed — or cursed — to live with each other. And I prefer the first."

Bravo to Barenboim on this one.

EXAMPLES OF HATE SPEECH

200 pages de citations de haine:

1. "There is a huge gap between us (Jews) and our enemies not just in ability but in morality, culture, sanctity of life, and conscience. They are our neighbors here, but it seems as if at a distance of a few hundred meters away, there are people who do not belong to our continent, to our world, but actually belong to a different galaxy." Israeli president Moshe Katsav. The Jerusalem Post, May 10, 2001

Greenpeace slams Israel's nuclear program

"Despite Israel's policy of nuclear ambiguity, international reports maintain that this country has developed nuclear facilities and one of them, the Nahal Sorek science reactor, is only 30 kilometers from Tel Aviv," said Yonatan Leibowitz, Greenpeace Mediterranean communications director, on Thursday as environmental activists rallied against nuclear power in the Middle East.

Speaking at a press conference on the beach with the Rainbow Warrior, Greenpeace's official flagship docked in the background, Leibowitz released a report detailing the potential dangers posed to the populations of Iran, Israel and Turkey by nuclear installations.

There is no "nuclear abiguity" left for Israel: Olmert made it very clear that Israel has nukes in his interview with the German press some time ago.

And if there are no Israeli nukes, how do you explain Israel's treatment of Mordechai Vannunu when he went public all those years ago with the evidence that Israel does, indeed, have nukes, and got thrown into jail for it?

Facts regarding Israel's Fuel and Electricity Cuts to the Gaza Strip

Essential services, including purifying and pumping drinking water, treating sewage, operating garbage collection trucks and ambulances, and operating the generators that power hospitals and other public buildings depend on fuel and the electricity generated by fuel.

When Israel assured the world last week that there would be "no humanitarian problems" regarding these impending fuel cuts, its government spokespeople were simply lying through their collective teeth.

Those assurances were simply crafted for the consumption of the international community, and have absolutely no relationship to the even further suffering Gazans will begin to experience starting next weekend.

IDF admits - kids killed were playing tag

According to the IDF, troops detected "unidentified movement and opened fire."

Israel behaving like a terrorist organization

Three Palestinian children were killed by Israeli fire in the northern Gaza Strip on Wednesday. The three were cousins from the al-Ghazale family - Yihiye, 12, Mahmoud, 10, and Sara, 10. The Israeli public reacted to these killings, just like it did to the killing of two other children several days earlier, with near complete apathy.

'Israel gives US unreliable intel'

Edward Abingdon, who served as US consul-general in Jerusalem during the 1990s, said the Israelis had an "agenda" and provided "selective information to try to influence US thinking."

"No, seriously, Al Qaeda did it. Really! Honest. No kidding. You should go kill them for us!"

Israel Bans School Supplies to Gaza

The Israeli government forbade the entrance of paper for making text books to children from Gaza Strip, denounced Palestinian-Israeli Information-Investigation Center.

A released issued by the institution revealed that Palestinian children will attend the classrooms in September without their pens, pencils, books and more if the military command withholds the entry of five supply trucks to the region.

Can you say "an embarrassingly stupid decision", boys and girls?

Israel is "temporarily" restoring fuel supply to Gaza to its pre-cut rates

The change of policy came as it became obvious that Gaza water, sanitation and health care systems were badly affected by the cuts. The medical services in Gaza's main hospital were particularly disrupted. Shifa Hospital director Hassan Khalef said: "We were forced to shut down vital systems in the hospital, and we could not clean the hospital, wash linens or operate the sterilization system."

The unblinking eyes of the world, and those of the people belonging to Israeli human rights organizations, will remain fixed the deterioration of the conditions in Gaza for the foreseeable future, and there will be no escape for the Israeli government on this in the court of world opinion, no matter how much they try to spin their actions as "self defense".

Israel Will be at War by Summer, Politician Says

Like most Israeli leaders, Dr. Eldad would prefer that the United States and its partners take out Iranian nuclear and missile sites, if for no other reason than the vastly superior conventional firepower the U.S. could bring to bear.

"Once we reach the eve of destruction of a new Holocaust [from Iran], we will not think of anything else. We will be ready to destroy the nuclear infrastructure of Iran at whatever cost it takes. That means we will be ready to use unconventional weapons," he said.

Translation: Israel will push the US into a major war in the Middle East, because Bush has pledged to defend Israel, no matter whether or not it starts any conflict.

Notice Dr. Eldad's enthrusiasm about having the US doing the killing/fighting/getting mained for Israel.

And also notice Dr. Eldad's use of the phrase "unconventional weapons"; you don't have to be Fellini to figure that one out.

Israel plans for massive summer offensive in Gaza –

The Israeli military will soon launch a huge offensive in the Gaza Strip to crush Palestinian resistance groups, mainly Hamas, chief of staff Major General Gabi Ashkenazi said.

The Israeli army often carries out massive military offensives in Gaza and the occupied West Bank under the pretext of cracking down Palestinian resistance groups. Such deadly assaults often result in the death of innocent Palestinian civilians.

Translation: the IDF will be "crushing" everyone who even looks Palestinian, be they Hamas or not.

And of course, the politicians in Washington will smile knowingly at their Israeli counterparts, fork over more of our tax dollars to them, and say something soothing regarding Israel's need for "security".

And hundreds of Palestinians, whose only crimes are having had the stupendously bad luck to have been born Palestinian, and live in Gaza, will probably die.

JUDAISM ILLEGAL IN ISRAEL

When a rabbi preaches hate or genocide against Palestinians, nothing is done. Even if the rabbi in question is one of the Chief Rabbis of Israel, he is permitted to twist the doctrines of the Jewish people's Holy Books and say the opposite of what is written in those Books...

But when a rabbi takes the side of the Palestinians, when he lives by the Words of those texts and points out what is wrong in Israeli society he winds up in jail. In effect, Israel has outlawed Judaism....

Israeli Losing Patience for Iran Talks

A senior member of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's government suggested Wednesday that his country is running out of patience with a U.S.-backed diplomatic overture to head off Iran's nuclear ambitions.

Well, I'll tell you what Mr. 'Senior member of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's government', if Israel has such a problem with Iran's power station, why doesn't Israel go ahead and do something about it.

After all, it is no secret that Israel's fear that Iran's power station might hide a nuclear weapons factory is based on the fact that Israel's reactor at Dimona does indeed conceal a nuclear weapons factory. Israel simply assumes that all other nations are equally duplicitous.

But Israel doesn't want to have to do their own dirty work. They never have. History is clear on that. Israel used fake radio traffic to trick the US into attacking Libya. The Israeli attack on the USS Liberty appears to have been a similar attempt to trick the US into attacking Egypt. Israel had some still-classified role in 9-11, whose apparent goal was to trick the US into attacking Iraq and Iran.

So, the reason Mr. 'Senior member of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's government' is moaning and pissing about impatience is that the real goal is for the US to go and attack Iran FOR ISRAEL.

That's right, the US Government has been spending your money and the blood of your children on wars dictated by a foreign government.

I mean, think about it. If Israel was willing to do their own dirty work, they would not constantly be demanding the US do it, or bribing the US Congress to get it.

So, settle back, get ready for yet another war on Israel's enemies, and figure out how much the life of your child is really worth, and hope that the US Congress that SOLD your child into bondage for Israel made a decent profit.

People who celebrate Christmas should not be moving to Israel under Law of Return

I personally believe that the citizenship test of the Law of Return is not a religious one. Jewish law should not be determining who is entitled to become a citizen of Israel and who isn’t. Yet one thing is clear to me. A person who views himself as Christian and who follows Christian ritual which has no cultural connection to Jewish heritage or the Israeli existence has nothing to do with us. Do we wish to bring to Israel people who go to church regularly? Do we seek to turn Christmas into an Israeli holiday?

Therefore, Israel is a THEOCRACY, the very sort of government we condemn in the Islamic states.

Israeli forces demolish electricity transformer in northern Gaza

Israel: Government Blocks Medical Evacuations from Gaza

Israel is arbitrarily blocking, delaying and harassing people with emergency medical problems who need to leave the Gaza Strip for urgent care, Human Rights Watch said today. At least three patients denied exit permits have died since June, and others have lost limbs or sight due to injuries and disease that have gone without proper treatment.

Ethnic cleansing, one sick Gazan at a time.

The Israeli government must feel so proud of itself for not having the any member of the IDF pull the trigger on these people: just let their treatable diseases take their course.

One also has to praise the actions of the Tel-Aviv based Physicians for Human Rights - Israel for their wonderful humanitarian work in this area.

RACIAL PROFILING ~~ PRELUDE TO GENOCIDE?

There was also a colour scheme used on Identity Cards; Jewish Israelis had theirs in a plastic folio that was blue, Palestinians from the territories had theirs in an orange folio. This was a 'quick' way to distinguish the Jew from the Palestinian. On the card itself, it identified the bearer as Jew or Arab. (brings to mind one of the complaints Jews in the Former Soviet Union had, they resented the fact that they were 'forced' to carry ID cards identifying them as Jews, I don't hear them complaining here...) The words Jew or Arab were recently replaced by a series of asterisks, the number of which identifies the bearer in the same way.

Olmert and cronies unimpressed by protest, vow to ignore calls to quit

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's associates downplayed the massive rally Thursday night in Tel Aviv, calling it "irrelevant."

"We have already known what the public thought for a long time because of the polls," a source close to Olmert said, the Jerusalem Post reported. "It doesn't matter how many people came to the square, because decisions are made in the Knesset and not in demonstrations, because we are not a banana republic. And anyway, public opinion will soon flip in our favor."

Well, citizens of Israel, there you have it.

And if the Labor party decides to leave the government on the 13th of this month, things could get very interesting for Olmert and Kadima very quickly.

RACISM GOES BEYOND THE GRAVE IN ISRAEL

There are outcries from Jewish groups whenever a Jewish grave or cemetery is desecrated, and justifiably so… but deafening silence when the same crime is directed at a Palestinian cemetery. Obviously when ‘the shoe is on a different foot’ they just learn to walk differently.

Olmert: 'Not one refugee can return'

Robertson Warns Of God's Wrath

The Reverend Pat Robertson says the United States will be "risking the wrath of God" if it forces Israel to surrender East Jerusalem to the Palestinians.

Apparently, the good reverend has not quite been embarrassed enough by his statement last year that Sharon's stroke was God's retribution for pulling the IDF out of Gaza, and feels compelled to go it one better with this one.

Talking to God is prayer: God talking back is schizophrenia.

One final point. If Robertson's god is so powerful that his wrath is to be feared, if he really created all that is in the entire universe, then he hardly needs we puny humans to go around cutting the throats of those who refuse to toss coins into the correct collection plates every weekend.

Robertson also needs to remember that Genetic testing has proven that the present day Palestinians are the direct descendants of the biblical Hebrews. The Ashkenazi Jews, of course, are descended from Khazars converted to Judaism in 850AD (another piece of history not readily available in the state-controlled school system).

Robertson is also ignorant of his Bible. It specifically states that Jerusalem is given not to all the Jewish people but to one specific tribe of the Jews; the tribe of Benjamin. But the tribe of Benjamin was for the most part wiped out by the other tribes and their survivors fled to what is now France and Spain. Robertson does not seem anxious to invite the surviving Benjamites back to Israel, and I rather doubt the Ashkanazi rulers of Jersalem would evacuate the city for them, no matter what the biblical texts say!

THE THIRD TEMPLE'S HOLY OF HOLIES: ISRAEL'S NUCLEAR WEAPONS

A bright flash in the south Indian Ocean, observed by an American satellite on 22 September 1979, is widely believed to be a South Africa-Israel joint nuclear test. It was, according to some, the third test of a neutron bomb. The first two were hidden in clouds to fool the satellite and the third was an accident—the weather cleared.84 Experts differ on these possible tests. Several writers report that the scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratory believed it to have been a nuclear explosion while a presidential panel decided otherwise.85 President Carter was just entering the Iran hostage nightmare and may have easily decided not to alter 30 years of looking the other way.86 The explosion was almost certainly an Israeli bomb, tested at the invitation of the South Africans. It was more advanced than the “gun type” bombs developed by the South Africans.87 One report claims it was a test of a nuclear artillery shell.88 A 1997 Israeli newspaper quoted South African deputy foreign minister, Aziz Pahad, as confirming it was an Israeli test with South African logistical support.89

For the new readers; a neutron bomb, or neutron enhancement weapon, is a type of nuclear weapon that has a very small explosive capability, but is designed to saturate the area with neutron radiation. The purpose is to kill all life while not destroying the buildings. It is therefore not a defensive weapon, but a weapon of invasion and conquest.

Ayalon: Gaza op must be carefully planned

"Before the IDF embarks on a major incursion into Gaza, it needs to carefully consider how to operate so that it bolsters Palestinian moderates, including those in the Gaza Strip," Israel Radio quoted Minister Ami Ayalon (Labor)as saying Saturday.

Memo to Minister Ayalon: the killing of even one Palestinian in Gaza will not bolster the position of Fatah in the West Bank.

In fact, it may so infuriate Palestinians that all bets are off for any further reconcilliation to a two-state solution.

But perhaps, that rage is precisely what Israel is banking on to scupper any further negotiations.

Evidence of Israeli "Cowardly Blending" Comes to Light

A new report, written by a respected Israeli human rights organisation, one representing the country's Arab minority not its Jewish majority, has unearthed evidence showing that during the fighting Israel committed war crimes not only against Lebanese civilians -- as was already known -- but also against its own Arab citizens. This is an aspect of the war that has been almost entirely neglected until now.

Petition: Israel stalling on permits for terminally ill in Gaza

A baby with an inborn cardiac defect, a two-year-old with kidney disease, a cancer patient with a liver tumor, and another with a brain tumor - these are only a few of the 17 terminally ill Gazans whose entry into Israel has been delayed and whose cases were raised Thursday in a petition submitted by Physicians for Human Rights to the High Court of Justice (HCJ).

How can it possibly be that Israeli officials are condemning these kids to death by denying and delaying treatment.....because of their ethnicity?

It is staggeringly ironic that this appears to be the case, considering that many Israeli officials are themselves the children or grand-children of Holocaust survivors.

Surely, these people must understand the ugly, perverted core of racial, religious, and ethnic prejudice, don't they?

Report: Nuclear bunker being built at PM's residence

Yedioth Ahronoth reports Olmert's official Jerusalem residence being outfitted with bunker that can withstand nuclear, chemical attack; another nuclear bunker being constructed outside Jerusalem for government officials.

The reason people like Olmert and Cheney build bunkers is that they are planning, at some point, to use nuclear weapons themselves against a perceived enemy.

The rest of their population, unfortunately, can go to hell, as far as any honest protection for them goes: it's only the elite's survival that matters, from their perspective.

PM okays 750 new settlement homes, says fits state policy

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has approved the renewed construction of hundreds of an estimated 750 new homes in the West Bank settlement of Givat Ze'ev near Jerusalem, the Housing Ministry said Sunday.

These "settlements", and the continued building of them, means that by the time there is some kind of agreement to the creation of a Palestinian state, the Palestinians will have practically no real territory to call its own.

Olmert meets senior US diplomat on eve of arms deal

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with US Under Secretary of State Nicholas Burns on Wednesday, a day before the signing of a deal under which Washington will provide its ally with 30 billion dollars in military aid over a decade, the premier's office said.

The aid to Israel reflects an increase in value of more than 25 percent, Olmert has said, describing it as a considerable improvement and very important element for national security.

30 billion - with a b, folks.

Israel's Jewish problem in Tehran

There is an interesting problem with selling Iran as "Nazi Germany". If Ahmadinejad really is Hitler, ready to commit genocide against Israel’s Jews as soon as he can get his hands on a nuclear weapon, why are some 25,000 Jews living peacefully in Iran and more than reluctant to leave despite repeated enticements from Israel and American Jews?

Zionist Frequently Asked Questions

I am often asked by many Westerners and Zionists: Why Palestinians fight the peace loving Israeli? Why all this terrorism against the innocent Jews who suffered centuries of persecution? In details, we have replied to these questions and more at our popular Zionists Frequently Asked Questions. In that respect, it is worth noting what David Ben-Gurion told Nahum Goldman before he died:

"I don't understand your optimism.," Ben-Gurion declared. "Why should the Arabs make peace? If I was an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country. Sure, God promised it to us, but what does that matter to them? Our God is not theirs. We come from Israel, it's true, but two thousand years ago, and what is that to them? There has been anti-Semitism the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They only see one thing: we have come here and stolen their country. Why should they accept that? They may perhaps forget in one or two generations' time, but for the moment there is no chance. So it's simple: we have to stay strong and maintain a powerful army. Our whole policy is there. Otherwise the Arabs will wipes us out".

"But how can you sleep with that prospect in mind," I broke in, "and be Prime Minister of Israel too?"

Who says I sleep? he answered simply. (The Jewish Paradox by Nahum Goldman, p. 99)

In the olden days, an anti-Semite was someone who hated Jews; these days it’s someone whom the Jews hate.

Accusing an opponent of anti-Semitism is probably the most powerful political weapon that exists in Western society. It’s destructiveness equals – if not surpasses - the label of paedophilia. The whole topic has developed over time to such a powerful taboo, that there is hardly an open discussion of anti-Semitism, without the participants scrambling to uncritically condemn it as utterly evil. Anybody suspected – or worse - publicly accused of anti-Semitic views or activities, becomes automatically – without trial and conviction – a societal leper. He can kiss his job and career good-bye, and will loose, more often than not, most of his friends and family, in many cases even his freedom.[1]

In spite, or maybe because of its taboo nature, there is a lot of confusion about what exactly constitutes anti-Semitism. This essay tries to break through the taboo and examine the various aspects of anti-Semitism and what lead to its taboo nature. The upcoming part 2 will provide a comprehensive ethical analysis of the matter. The author is conscious of the fact that by doing so, he will attract bitter criticism of those sections of the community that – for one reason or another - are the most interested in maintaining the taboo.

Lebanon, Again

In short, American political support for another go at Lebanon is virtually assured: aside from a few on the left, and the right, who are beginning to challenge the Lobby's hegemony over U.S. foreign policy, there will be very few voices raised against renewed Israeli aggression. Our supine Congress – which Pat Buchanan trenchantly called "Israeli-occupied territory" – will shout hosannas as U.S.-made -and-paid-for jets drop cluster bombs on schools, hospitals, factories, and other nests of "terrorism."

A Personal Message From Jeff Rense

Rense.com and the Jeff Rense Program have always been steadfastly Pro-Jewish...and Anti-Zionist, and certainly anti-Neocon, most of whom are Zionists with dual loyalty and many with dual Israeli citizenship. The following video points out in searing detail the reasons for our position and our many years of fighting for the rights of Jews and all Americans.

In this stunning video, you will see honorable, loving people of the Jewish faith trying to exercise their God-given right to Freedom of Speech by which they seek to explain the monumental differences between True Judaism and ZIONISM.

You will then see the hideous face of the death-dealing philosophy and pathological control mania of the Zionist. This Zionist not only calls for the removal of Freedom of Speech for his fellow Jews but calls repeatedly for their MURDER...after which their "bones should be pissed upon."

We certainly hope you will now more clearly understand how Jewish ZIONISM played the key role in the Holocaust of WWII as has been documented by numerous historians including the great Rabbi Michael Dov Weismandl who personally lived through the Zionist betrayal of the Jews of Europe. APARTHEID BEYOND THE GRAVEt

Barak: Large-scale Gaza operation near

A large-scale IDF operation against Palestinian rocket squads in Gaza was drawing near, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Tuesday.

"Every day that passes brings us closer to a broad operation in Gaza," Barak told Army Radio.

If they do this Gaza operation soon, that will certainly put the screws to the much-vaunted Annapolis conference.

In fact, such an incursion before this conference starts will probably kill it completely (which is probably precisely what Israel wants to happen).

Arab law student denied entry to Sharon Mall

Four law students at the Netanya College were refused entry at the city's Sharon Mall on Tuesday because the security guards identified them as being non-Jewish.

Israel’s plans to Wage Nuclear War on Iran: History of Israel's Nuclear Arsenal

In addition to the nuclear devices themselves, Israel has a formidable arsenal of delivery systems. Israel’s Shavit rocket has been used to launch satellites into orbit, and the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists reported that the Shavit could be converted to an ICBM with a range of 7,000 miles allowing an Israeli nuclear strike anywhere in the Middle East as well as eastern and western Europe and Central Asia. Additionally, Israel now has a fleet of Dolphin class submarines armed with cruise missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists reported that Israel may have developed nuclear artillery shells as well as nuclear land-mines that could be deployed in the Golan Heights to discourage Syrian designs on the region.

Even though the existence of Israel’s nuclear arsenal is now a well-established fact, the state of Israel has consistently refused to confirm its nuclear status. Furthermore, Israel refuses to become a party to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Israel’s adamant nuclear insularity and denials have created tensions – not only in the Middle East – but globally.

ISRAEL’S FINGER ON OUR TRIGGER

Time is running out for the Zionists, time is catching up with them. If they panic now, everything is exposed; all their big dreams threaten to fail.

The real Zionists in Israel understand the lateness of the hour – Zionism is a dying entity. It is no longer possible to foresee this Israel having a real Jewish majority. Acts of desperation have marked the last thirty years of Israeli policies, which have been tailored to incorporate more and more Gentiles as “Jews,” even though not one drop of Jewish blood flows through the veins of some of them. First, the Zionists co-opted the Soviet “Jews,” who are descended from Khazarian converts to Judaism, in southern Russia.

Israel wages war on army of refuseniks

The Prime Minister's Office is now planning a blacklist of entertainers so that councils know who should not be hired for civic celebrations. Councils are also being urged not to employ conscripts or reservists - Israeli men are expected to commit to up to one month a year on reserve duty that ends when they reach their mid-40s - who refuse to fight unless they have been legally exempted.

Last week, a petition was also being circulated by high-level Israeli businesspeople calling for the business community to discriminate against draft dodgers seeking employment.

It appears that some Israeli men cannot reconcile what they are asked to do to Palestinians on a daily basis with their moral understandings of right and wrong.

Israel torturing Palestinian child prisoners

Israel urges international rejection of Palestinian unity deal

Israel says the new unity government to be formed under the deal will not meet the three conditions imposed on the Palestinians for an end to the blockade - recognition of Israel, renunciation of armed struggle and acceptance of all previous agreements signed between Israel and the Palestinian Liberation Organisation.

The problem is that Palestine cannot recognize Israel because Israel still refuses to define its own borders. If Palestine agreed to recognize Israel, there is nothing to stop Israel from saying, "Israel is here, and Israel is there, and you are all now living on Israeli land so get out."

Look at what happened with the "security fence", which continues to be pushed further and further east of the "Green Line".

Look at what happened in Lebanon last week when Israelis drove a bulldozer past the border fence but excused it away by claiming that land on the Lebanese side of the fence was still part of Israel.

And let us not forget that it is Israel that started this whole refusal process. The UN Resolution that created the state of Israel also created a state of Palestine. Right from the start Israel has refused to recognize Palestine as a state, which is what prompted the other nations in the region to refuse to recognize Israel, as Israel was then (and now) demanding that very thing they refuse to grant to others, recognition of a right to exist.

Israel sinks deeper into cesspit of defamation, denigration and denial

An empire in its death throes is not a pretty sight. The more desperately its rulers cling to power in the face of impending defeat, the more they hasten its demise. The more its rulers fight to preserve their rule, the more the empire is sacrificed to serve selfish, repressive wants.

This also applies closer to home.

Israel: Syria readying for war

The gist of the Israeli message in its recent talks with United States Defense Secretary Robert Gates is that Syria is preparing for a military confrontation with Israel.

Translation: Israel is preparing for war against Syria.

This could inflame the entire region, and remember; no matter whether or not Israel starts such a conflict, Bush has declared that our kid's lives and tax dollars will go to support Israel.

Israel Razes Bedouin Huts in West Bank

The Israeli army on Wednesday demolished seven huts and tents belonging to Bedouin Arabs who live near Jewish settlements in the southern West Bank, residents and the army said.

So the IDF is destroying.............. huts and tents??

Obviously the crime for which these Bedouin Arabs appear to have been persecuted is that they are still breathing.

Israel Has Lost

Israel erases the green line

When they call the "occupied territories" or "Shtachim" as they are called in Hebrew, Judea and Samaria, they are proponents of the theory that God gave them the land, and therefor it's their to take from the Palestinians, because it is Jewish land, no matter what the deeds say, or who lived on it for the past few hundred years.

The Green Line was the border before the Six Day War.... and as all adherents of the Israeli right, this writer says that the US agrees that the borders should never go back....

But this changing of the map is the beginning of making sure that these borders no longer exist if there ever should be discussions about a two State solution.

IS JERUSALEM READY FOR SCHOOL DESEGREGATION?

It took a Presidential order from Dwight D. Eisenhower to desegregate schools in the American south in 1954.... 53 years ago.... What will it take to do the same for schools in Israel? Apparently not according to the following report from today's HaAretz....

ISRAEL: WHAT WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW

But other powerful national leaders seem impervious to the evidence piling up against Israel 's image as a free, friendly ally. Sam Brownback of Kansas recently supported a right-wing Israeli proposal to defeat the two-state peace process. Rabbi Elon, chairman of the right-wing National Union Party in Israel , came up with the plan, which denies a Palestinian state. Brownback called it "a movement forward." Indeed it is--a jack-booted, bully's step toward even greater darkness. Elon's spokesman said bluntly, "This is the completion of the transfer of [the Palestinian] population that began in 1948." Yes, indeed, let's complete that bloody, violent expulsion of 800,000 Palestinians, merchants, farmers and tradespeople, exiled into virtual concentration camps in Gaza , Lebanon and the West Bank .

Mosque near Bethlehem burned down by Israeli settlers

A group of Israeli settlers torched an historic mosque in the town of Al-Khader, near Bethlehem, on Tuesday. The settlers used 20 beehives as fuel for the fire, after stealing the beehives from a Palestinian farm located near the mosque.

MK Orlev presents updated list of mortal enemies of Israel

The list of "contemporary Amalekites" is significant among religious Jews. The term Amalek has a much deeper meaning than any standard enemy. Jews are commanded to wage an all out war against them: "We do not negotiate with Amalek. There are no agreements and no political solutions. The mitzvah, the commandment, of remembrance also requires us to wipe out the memory of Amalek in the most literal sense of the word," Orlev declared.

So political assasination based on ancient religious edicts is perfectly acceptible in Israel and a comforting thought for its citizens?

Military bulldozers uproot lands west of Bethlehem

Israeli military bulldozers uprooted on Sunday afternoon large areas of Palestinian orchards which belong to residents of Al Ma’sar village, south of Bethlehem; dozens of trees were uprooted.

Dozens of residents rushed to the area and tried to stop the uprooting of their lands, and the soldiers attacked them with batons and weapons; one resident was injured and was moved to a medical center after suffering concussions and bruises.

Ethnic cleansing, one olive orchard at a time.

These orchards are, in many cases, the only source of livelihood these Palestinians have.

Israeli PM says Lebanon war was pre-planned: report

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has testified he launched last year's war against Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon in line with a contingency plan he approved four months before, the Haaretz daily said on Thursday.

Olmert, under fire for his handling of the inconclusive 34-day war, told a judicial inquiry last month that Hezbollah's capture of two Israeli soldiers on July 12 triggered the plans for a large-scale attack in Lebanon, the Israeli newspaper said.

Left unmentioned is that the two soldiers were INSIDE LEBANON when captured.

Israeli president brands Iran 'centre of global terror'

Israeli President Shimon Peres launched a blistering attack on arch-foe Iran on Monday, calling the Islamic republic "the centre of global terror" aiming to dupe the world on its nuclear programme.

The problem here: no matter whether or not Israel launches a first strike against Iran's alleged "weapons program sites", Bush - in his inimitable and reckless style - has totally committed that the US will back Israel, no matter if they fire the first bombs or not.

So if Israel does attack, this country has been obligated to come to Israel's defense, with our kids, and our tax dollars.

Israeli pullout means ceding land to Iran's extensions- Netanyahu

During a special Knesset session Tuesday, opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu warned that the establishment of a Palestinian state would increase Israel's vulnerability to rocket attacks.

The Likud chairman said he was opposed to another Israeli withdrawal from the territories, saying "on the eve of Rosh Hashana, the nation has already done its soul-searching and realizes that another pullout means relinquishing land to extensions of Iran.

What the.....???????

Apparently, what Netanyahu wants is his own special "final solution" to the status of Palestinians.

Israeli security accused of torture

Two Israeli human rights groups claim the country's security service uses torture in interrogating Palestinian prisoners, violating a 1999 court ruling outlawing such practices.

The physical abuse includes "beating, painful binding, back bending, body stretching and prolonged sleep deprivation", methods that constitute torture under international law, according to the report by B'Tselem and The Centre for the Defence of the Individual.

Israeli security forces continue to use torture with impunity, ignoring that fact that the Israeli Supreme Court outlawed its use in a 1999 decision.

What they hate like hell is getting caught at using torture.

Various articles and pictures concerning the use of torture at Abu Graib indicated very strongly that American security personnel got a little help from oiur friends the Israelis with "interrogation techniques".

Rabbi calls for annihilation of Arabs

The spiritual leader of Israel's ultra-orthodox Shas party, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, has provoked outrage with a sermon calling for the annihilation of Arabs.

"It is forbidden to be merciful to them. You must send missiles to them and annihilate them. They are evil and damnable," he was quoted as saying in a sermon delivered on Monday to mark the Jewish festival of Passover.

Let's see if the media gives this the coverage they gave Ahmadinejad's supposed comment about wiping Israel off of the map.

A group of 8 settler men simultaneously cornered the 2 international HRWs who were filming the attack, attempting to steal and break their camera. The HRWs were repeatedly punched in the body and face as one of the settlers managed to grab the camera before police finally intervened. However, rather than destroy the tape, the settlers carelessly threw it in to a nearby skip where it was quickly rescued with the tape intact, though the camera was in fact broken.

Russia's Putin : "Iran Is Not Afraid" Of US, Israel "Believe Me"

But barely known to most in the West is that Putin is not alone in backing Iran against the threats of military strikes from the United States and Israel. Pakistan plans all-out war on militants

An all-out battle for control of Pakistan's restive North and South Waziristan is about to commence between the Pakistani military and the Taliban and al-Qaeda adherents who have made these tribal areas their own.

According to a top Pakistani security official who spoke to Asia Times Online on condition of anonymity, the goal this time is to pacify the Waziristans once and for all. All previous military operations - usually spurred by intelligence provided by the Western coalition - have had limited objectives, aimed at specific bases or sanctuaries or blocking the cross-border movement of guerrillas. Now the military is going for broke to break the back of the Taliban and a-Qaeda in Pakistan and reclaim the entire area.

The fighting that erupted two weeks ago, and that has continued with bombing raids against guerrilla bases in North Waziristan - turning thousands of families into refugees and killing more people than any India-Pakistan war in the past 60 years - is but a precursor of the bloodiest battle that is coming.

One has to wonder how soon our "good buddy" (and our thug in the region), Musharaff is planning to have American "advisers" in the area to help with this operation.

This will be a bloodbath of horrendous enormity, ever further pushing the Pakistani people away from Musharraf, and the US presence in the region.

Iraqi Kurds vow region will fight if attacked

Iraq's Kurdish region vowed Friday to fight off any attack as Washington said it was willing to help Baghdad crack down on rebels there to stave off a threatened Turkish incursion.

Kurdish regional president Massoud Barzani issued a strongly worded statement hours after US Defence Secretary Robert Gates hinted that US and Iraqi forces were ready to get involved if need be.

The Kurdish area of Iraq is where some of the greatest concentrations of its oil wealth are.

And, as reported by Reuters on 3 October of this year:

I"raq's Kurdish regional government (KRG) has approved four new oil and gas deals that will attract around $500 million of investment in exploration, the KRG said in a statement on its Web site."

The central Iraqi government is itching (as are its American masters) to get the hands on the money these contracts will generate, rather than have the Kurdish regional government get this revenue.

Iraqi Contracts With Iran and China Concern U.S.

Iraq has agreed to award $1.1 billion in contracts to Iranian and Chinese companies to build a pair of enormous power plants, the Iraqi electricity minister said Tuesday. Word of the project prompted serious concerns among American military officials, who fear that Iranian commercial investments can mask military activities at a time of heightened tension with Iran.

"But, darn it, those 1.1 billion dollars' worth of contracts should have gone to US companies!" - official white horse souse.

Turkish troops ready for Kurdish operation on Iraqi border

Some 40,000 strong Turkish troops comprising helicopter, artillery and special forces units are ready to launch a full-scale operation against Kurdish militants on the Iraqi border, Turkish media reported.

"We are making it very clear to Turkey that we don't think it is in their interest to send troops into Iraq," President George Bush said.

Bush and this administration are absolute, totally impotent to do anything to stop a potential Turkish strike, given that so much of the US staging and logistics of people and material go through Turkey.

And our occupation of Iraq has been so botched (as in, we can barely hold on the the fortified "green zone" inside Baghdad) that we absolutely cannot defend Turkey from the attacks of the PKK.

Pushing War With Iran

Mr. Bolton told his British audience that any strike should be followed by an attempt to remove “the source of the problem,” namely, Iranian President Ahmadinejad. Here’s how IsraelNationalNews.com reported it:

“If we were to strike Iran,” Bolton said, “it should be accompanied by an effort at regime change as well, because I think that really sends the signal that we are not attacking the people, [but rather] the nuclear weapons program. The U.S. once had the capability to engineer the clandestine overthrow of governments. I wish we could get it back.” His words were met with applause and cheers."

Of course, if Ahmadinejad were removed (and even executed), we would soon find (as we found in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, and Iraq when Milosevich, the Taliban and Saddam, respectively, were removed) that the mission had “evolved” from regime change to nation building. Which, naturally, means perpetual occupation of Iran by U.S. military forces (already spread deadly thin) or UN “coalition-of-the-willing” military forces paid for by the American taxpayers (already bled thin).

One always has to wonder how many of the kids of these folks shilling for the coming war actually have kids serving in the military, or perhaps on the front lines in Iraq or Afghanistan.

I would be willing to bet, precious few.

For people like Krauthammer, Podhoretz, Bolton, et al, it's always other people's kids who are supposed to fight, get maimed, and die in service to their geopolitical agendas.

Shooting erupts on Israel-Lebanon border

Lebanese troops opened fire on a bulldozer after it crossed the so-called Blue Line — the U.N.-demarcated boundary — and entered about 20 yards into Lebanon, Lebanese officials said.

Israeli troops responded with tanks and light weapons.

The Lebanon war began last summer when two Israeli soldiers crossed the border into Lebanon. In the weeks that followed, the media tried to spin the story that the two Israelis had been captured by a Lebanese force which had crossed into Israel, but a quick look at any map of the region shows that Aitaa al-Chaab, the town where the capture occurred, is well within Lebanon.

This looks to be a similar provocation. Expect the story about the bulldozer crossing into Lebanon to "go away."

This is collective punishment in action. This is blatant repression of the non-violent struggle. They would’ve marched alongside Israelis if the Israelis had not been blocked by the army from coming. They marched also side by side the Israeli army provoking them. But they were not provoked, they did not respond. The demonstration was non-violent, and successful, and this is what has the IOF running scared.

A must read: This is why Israel wants to steal Gaza by making it impossible for Palestinians to live there

Dr. Sarraj has unlocked Israel's agenda. It is not to stop the Qassam rockets. If Israel were serious about that, it would have agreed to the ceasefire that Hamas has always offered. Rather, it is to rid itself once and for all of the Palestinians in Gaza. The preferred method would be, as he says, to push them through Rafah towards the Sinai desert.

U.S. District Court in Manhattan clears Dichter in war crimes suit

The lawsuit accused Dichter of "war crimes for his participation" in the decision to drop a one-tonne bomb in a residential area of the Gaza Strip on July 22, 2002.

n a ruling issued at U.S. District Court in Manhattan, Judge William Pauley found Dichter could not be sued because he was acting as a government official at the time.

The judge is saying that "a government official is immune for a war crime, for killing people, if a government - in this case the Israelis and also the American government - says so," LaHood said. "It makes the prohibition against war crimes almost meaningless."

For the US and Israel, "war crimes" are what other governments do; not theirs.
