We all want to be wise and careful stewards of the beautiful planet we call home. However, certain aspects of the modern green movement that is permeating every segment of our society are not about protecting the environment. You don’t have to dig very deep to discover the true beliefs of the influential leaders who are using genuine concerns about the environment to promote an agenda of fear and control. Please carefully consider the implications of the opinions that they so openly and freely express:

"The common enemy of humanity is man.
In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up
with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming,
water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these
dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through
changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome.
The real enemy then, is humanity itself

"In Nature organic growth proceeds according
to a Master Plan, a Blueprint. Such a ‘master plan’ is
missing from the process of growth and development of
the world system. Now is the time to draw up a master plan for
sustainable growth and world development based on global
allocation of all resources and a new global economic system.
Ten or twenty years form today it will probably be too late."

"We need a new paradigm of development in
which the environment will be a priority.
World civilization as we know it will soon end.
We have very little time and we must act.
If we can address the environmental problem,
it will have to be done within a new system, a
new paradigm. We have to change our mindset,
the way humankind views the world.

"Democracy is not a panacea. It cannot organize everything and
it is unaware of its own limits. These facts must be faced squarely.

- Club of Rome,
The First Global Revolution

"The emerging 'environmentalization' of our civilization

"We require a central organizing principle - one agreed to voluntarily.
Minor shifts in policy, moderate improvement in laws and regulations,
rhetoric offered in lieu of genuine change - these are all forms of
appeasement, designed to satisfy the public’s desire to believe that
sacrifice, struggle and a wrenching transformation
of society will not be necessary
- Al Gore,
Earth in the Balance

"Adopting a central organizing principle...
means embarking on an all-out effort to use every
policy and program, every law and institution...
to halt the destruction of the environment.
- Al Gore,
Earth in the Balance

"Effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound
reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world
has ever experienced a major shift in the priorities of both
governments and individuals and an unprecedented
redeployment of human and financial resources. This shift
will demand that a concern for the environmental consequences
of every human action be integrated into individual and
collective decision-making at every level.
- UN Agenda 21

"The current course of development is thus clearly unsustainable.
Current problems cannot be solved by piecemeal measures.
More of the same is not enough. Radical change from the
current trajectory is not an option, but an absolute necessity.
Fundamental economic, social and cultural changes that
address the root causes of poverty and environmental
degradation are required and they are required now.

2008 was the year man-made global warming was disproved

Easily one of the most important stories of 2008 has been all the evidence suggesting that this may be looked back on as the year when there was a turning point in the great worldwide panic over man-made global warming. Just when politicians in Europe and America have been adopting the most costly and damaging measures politicians have ever proposed, to combat this supposed menace, the tide has turned in three significant respects.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Can we call it a global cooling tax and still take their money?"

The killer frost for global warming

Turn up the heat, somebody. The globe is freezing. Even Al Gore is looking for an extra blanket. Winter has barely come to the northern latitudes and already we've got bigger goosebumps than usual. So far the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reports 63 record snowfalls in the United States, 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month. Only 44 Octobers over the past 114 years have been cooler than this last one.

Cool 2008 warms climate debate

WHILE the official figures are not yet in, 2008 is widely tipped to be declared the coolest year of the century.

Global warming: Reasons why it might not actually exist

2008 was the year man-made global warming was disproved, according to the Telegraph's Christopher Booker. Sceptics have long argued that there are other explanations for climate change other than man-made CO2 and here we look at some of the arguments put forward by those who believe that global warming is all a hoax.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Last night we were awakened by another thunderstorm, not unlike the one which blacked out the island a few days ago. My wife observed that we have never seen this much lightning in the many years we have lived here on Oahu. And this is certainly true.

Now then, quick meteorology lesson. Lightning is the result of static electricity created by the interaction between tiny rising droplets of water and falling bits of ice all within the storm cloud system. So, when you have lightning, it means that somewhere above you there is hail. The more lightning, the more hail. So, for Hawaii to be seeing an increase in lightning storms, it means we not only have hail high in the sky over Hawaii, we have MORE of it this year than in previous years. This is consistent with the fact that this year's temperatures have been cooler.

Japan's boffins: Global warming isn't man-made

One of the five contributors compares computer climate modelling to ancient astrology. Others castigate the paucity of the US ground temperature data set used to support the hypothesis, and declare that the unambiguous warming trend from the mid-part of the 20th Century has ceased.

Global warming a 'political delusion'

Beginning with actual temperature change. According to both the Met Office's Hadley Centre and NASA, there has been no rise in the Earth's temperature since 1998, with temperatures declining since 2002 and satellite evidence showing expanding ice caps.

Meanwhile, sunspot data analysis predicts another 12-15 very cold years ahead, borne out by another cold winter across Europe, Canada and the USA.

So, despite record carbon dioxide emissions worldwide, we are in the midst of at least a two or three-decade cool-down within the current gradual warming cycle. An entirely natural phenomenon and a very inconvenient truth for the politicians, the warmist media, and wind power vested interests.

Carbon trading is a scam.

Whether you believe in man-made global warming or not, please realize that carbon trading is a scam.

A big red flag is that our bailout buddies over at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup and the other Wall Street pirates are buying heavily into carbon trading.

Since these firms contributed so heavily to Obama's campaign, they will exert enormous pressure on Obama to push a huge carbon trading program. As University of Maryland professor economics professor and former Chief Economist at the U.S. International Trade Commission Peter Morici writes:

Obama must ensure that the banks use the trillions of dollars in federal bailout assistance to renegotiate mortgages and make new loans to worthy homebuyers and businesses. Obama must make certain that banks do not continue to squander federal largess by padding executive bonuses, acquiring other banks and pursuing new high-return, high-risk lines of businesses in merger activity, carbon trading and complex derivatives. Industry leaders like Citigroup have announced plans to move in those directions. Many of these bankers enjoyed influence in and contributed generously to the Obama campaign. Now it remains to be seen if a President Obama can stand up to these same bankers and persuade or compel them to act responsibly.

That's right. The same companies that made billions off of derivatives and other scams and are getting bailed out on your dime are going to make billions from carbon trading.

Moreover, even based on its stated goal of reducing carbon emissions, carbon trading might not work.

Carbon trading is a scam.

The earth's magnetic field impacts climate: Danish study

The earth's climate has been significantly affected by the planet's magnetic field, according to a Danish study published Monday that could challenge the notion that human emissions are responsible for global warming.

"Our results show a strong correlation between the strength of the earth's magnetic field and the amount of precipitation in the tropics," one of the two Danish geophysicists behind the study, Mads Faurschou Knudsen of the geology department at Aarhus University in western Denmark, told the Videnskab journal.

Defying Predictions, Sea Level Rise Begins to Slow

World's oceans rise slower since 2005, fail to display predicted accelerating trend.

Satellite altimetry data indicates that the rate at which the world's oceans are rising has slowed significantly since 2005. Before the decrease, sea level had been rising by more than 3mm/year, which corresponds to an increase of about one foot per century. Since 2005, however, the rate has been closer to 2mm/year.

The decrease is significant as global climate models predict sea level rise to accelerate as atmospheric CO2 continues to increase.

Possible natural explanation found for West Antarctica's warming

Webmaster's Commentary:

The cultists have been screaming that the warmer temperatures in west Antarctica were proof of human-caused global warming.

There's a volcano down there.

Despite the hot air, the Antarctic is not warming up

The measures being proposed to meet what President Obama last week called the need to "roll back the spectre of a warming planet" threaten to land us with the most colossal bill mankind has ever faced. It might therefore seem peculiarly important that we can trust the science on which all the alarm over global warming is based, But nothing has been more disconcerting in this respect than the methods used by promoters of the warming cause over the years to plug some of the glaring holes in their scientific argument.

Another example last week was the much-publicised claim, contradicting all previous evidence, that Antarctica, the world's coldest continent, is in fact warming up, Antarctica has long been a major embarrassment to the warmists. Al Gore and co may have wanted to scare us that the continent which contains 90 per cent of all the ice on the planet is heating up, because that would be the source of all the meltwater which they claim will raise sea levels by 20 feet.

Analysis: Skeptics renew climate debate

More than 80 percent of U.S. climate scientists believe human activity is contributing to climate change, according to a poll conducted by the Statistical Assessment Service at George Mason University in April.

Beliefs on the extent it will harm the Earth, however, still vary.

Skepticism on climate change

Just another forum, then, sounding the usual alarums on the looming threat from global warming?

Astronaut Jack Schmitt Joins Skeptics

"As a geologist, I love Earth observations," Schmitt wrote, "But, it is ridiculous to tie this objective to a 'consensus' that humans are causing global warming when human experience, geologic data and history, and current cooling can argue otherwise. 'Consensus,' as many have said, merely represents the absence of definitive science. You know as well as I, the 'global warming scare' is being used as a political tool to increase government control over American lives, incomes and decision making..."

Princeton Physicist Calls Global Warming Science "Mistaken"

Noted energy expert and Princeton physicist Dr. Will Happer has sharply criticized global warming alarmism. Happer, author of over 200 scientific papers and a past director of energy research at the Department of Energy, called fears over global warming "mistaken".

"I have spent a long research career studying physics that is closely related to the greenhouse effect", said Happer. "Fears about man-made global warming are unwarranted and are not based on good science."

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Global Warming Cult is all about taking what happens naturally, climate change, and spinning it into a "crisis" justifying new taxes and more draconian control over your life.

Ganahl debunks global warming

Just when you thought it was safe to assume that everyone had pretty much accepted climate change and moved on, here comes rogue NBC 4 chief meteorologist Jym Ganahl to blow your freaking mind.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is the danger of assuming, because nobody around HERE ever accepted global warming in the first place!

Efforts to support global climate-change falls: Poll

There is both growing public reluctance to make personal sacrifices and a distinct lack of enthusiasm for the major international efforts now underway to battle climate change, according to findings of a poll of 12,000 citizens in 11 countries, including Canada.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The switch to the phrase "Climate change" instead of "Global Warming" does not obfuscate the fact that for the last 7 years while the cultists were screaming, "Global Warming", the Earth actually cooled. Nor did pictures of Polar Bears in summer alter the fact that this last year the arctic ice cap grew in size. Nor did it help when one of the cult's chief science promoters was caught using September temperature data to claim October a record hot month. And temperature data collected from sensors sited in the outflow from building air conditioners (and in one case right next to a trash incinerator) proved yet another embarrassment.

So, the cult has changed the label to hedge their bets. The globe isn't warming; it's just changing, and it's YOUR fault, and you must be made to pay for it

Probably the reason that public support to fight climate change is waning is the recognition that climate change is the natural order of things on Earth. Earth has never in its 4 billion year history maintained a stable climate over any significant period of time. Earth has been much warmer and much colder than it is today, with long period fluctuations in the Earth's orbit and solar output the chief determinants. As the ice melted in Greenland, remains of ancient human habitations have been exposed, proving that the Earth has been warmer in human history, and humans seemed to have survived it just fine.

The missing source of natural gas

In modeling Earth’s atmospheric content, researchers say they have been overlooking an important supplier of methane, ethane, and propane to the atmosphere: Earth’s natural degassing from geological processes.

"We need to tax the Earth! And we need an Earth Tax Credit system, which I will gladly trade through my brokerage. " -- Al Bore

Earth on the Brink of an Ice Age

The earth is now on the brink of entering another Ice Age, according to a large and compelling body of evidence from within the field of climate science. Many sources of data which provide our knowledge base of long-term climate change indicate that the warm, twelve thousand year-long Holocene period will rather soon be coming to an end, and then the earth will return to Ice Age conditions for the next 100,000 years.

Thanksgiving’s Future: Kangaroo Instead of Turkey?

Since 1998, CO2 in the atmosphere has risen another 5 percent—but the earth’s temperatures have dropped half a degree C, defying the Greenhouse Theory.

Durban, South Africa, recently had the coldest September night in its history.

Switzerland has had “the most snow for any October since records began.”

On October 29, 115 American weather stations broke or tied their all-time lows for the date.

Alaska was very warm in 2007, but this October brought a low of minus 25 degrees F., breaking the previous low for Oct. 29 by 4 degrees F. The Arctic sea ice now covers 2 million square kilometers more than it did last year.

NASA announced April 21 that its Jason satellite had confirmed the Pacific Decadal Oscillation is entering a cool phase likely to last 25–30 years. Pacific Rim tree rings indicate the earth’s temperatures have mirrored the shifts in Pacific temperatures for the past 400 years. It’s our biggest ocean, after all. Thus our current cooling is likely to look like our last cooling between 1940 and 1975. That temperature decline also occurred during a Pacific cooling, even though human greenhouse emissions were surging then also.

Wall St. sets the stage for the next Big Heist

One could not help but notice the constant emphasis, during and since the Obama campaign, on Climate Change and Green energy programs. The world has a real need to develop more oil independent energy sources and halt the wholesale rape of Mother Earth. However, hearing these pleas from Washington to London from the highest offices in the land only demand more thorough investigation

From the New York Times, December 12: Soviet scientists on board an icebreaker drifting just 300 miles from the North Pole have concluded that the world is getting hotter.

Warm-water fish are appearing in increasing numbers in Arctic seas as temperatures have risen, melting the ice caps.

The Russian explorers believe that very soon ships will be able to sail right across the Pole.

The Dangers of Disputing Warming Orthodoxy

The global-warming advocates support drastic measures that would seriously affect production. Some of them go further and call for curbs on human population. In this connection, it is more than a little disturbing that John Holdren, chosen by Barack Obama as his science advisor since the publication of Horner's book, is a close associate of Paul Ehrlich.

Solar physicists still speak with awe of the Bastille Day storm of July 14, 2000, when so much energy was emitted that the Northern Lights were seen in Texas, and the Global Positioning System was thrown out of action for hours.

Was This Man a Fraud?

Following World War II and its atomic aftermath, American science exploded in size and scale thanks to vast new financial resources. Science in the United States was embraced and funded not only by the federal government, but also by large private foundations, including Rockefeller and Carnegie. This unprecedented expansion, with its increased bureaucratic pressures and complexities, forever changed the way science was conducted. No longer could the field, remote and removed from outside interference, police itself; a greatly increased propensity to fraud was an inevitable result.

Removing cats to protect birds backfires on island

It seemed like a good idea at the time: Remove all the feral cats from a famous Australian island to save the native seabirds.

But the decision to eradicate the felines from Macquarie island allowed the rabbit population to explode and, in turn, destroy much of its fragile vegetation that birds depend on for cover, researchers said Tuesday.

Removing the cats from Macquarie "caused environmental devastation" that will cost authorities 24 million Australian dollars ($16.2 million) to remedy, Dana Bergstrom of the Australian Antarctic Division and her colleagues wrote in the British Ecological Society's Journal of Applied Ecology.

"Our study shows that between 2000 and 2007, there has been widespread ecosystem devastation and decades of conservation effort compromised," Bergstrom said in a statement.

The unintended consequences of the cat-removal project show the dangers of meddling with an ecosystem — even with the best of intentions, the study said.

Frigid Storm Closes California Freeways, Drops Snow in Malibu

Snow snarled major mountain highways and even dusted Malibu on Wednesday as a cold storm hit parts of California. One person was killed by a wind-related helicopter crash, and an overflowing river on the U.S.-Mexico border led to the evacuation of nearly two dozen people, rescues of about 50 horses and the deaths of four others.
