Israel keeps ban on foreign journalists in Gaza

Israel is barring foreign journalists from entering the Gaza Strip despite a Supreme Court decision this week to allow a limited number to enter the territory.

Israel set to begin ground war against Hamas in Gaza

Webmaster's Commentary:

That's why the reporters are being kicked out.

Expect some internet cable "failures" to cut of Gaza as the tanks roll in.

New signs Israel might be planning ground invasion in Gaza

Webmaster's Commentary:

UPDATE: Israel has announced the ground invasion is about to start.

CNN CONFIRMS NOVEMBER 5TH ATTACK BY ISRAEL ENDED THE TRUCE!

SANCHEZ: And you know what we did? I've checked with some of the folks here at our international desk, and I went to them and asked, What was he talking about, and do we have any information on that? Which they confirmed, two months ago -- this is back in November -- there was an attack. It was an Israeli raid that took out six people.

Now, let me refer you -- it's not just us. We've checked in other periodicals. Johnny (ph), go over my shoulder, if you can. Here we go. "The six-month ceasefire started coming apart at the beginning of November after Israeli commandos killed a team of Hamas fighters during a raid on a tunnel they suspected was being dug for kidnapping of Israeli soldiers. That raid set off more Palestinian rocketing." That's "U.S. News and World Report."

Webmaster's Commentary:

CNN has now confirmed this story. Back on November 5th, while the US was celebrating (or bemoaning) the Obama victory, Israel launched an unprovoked attack into Gaza, killing 6 Hamas officials. It was this attack by Israel that ended the truce. Israel then imposed a starvation blockade, and ONLY then did Hamas fight back with rocket attacks.

Keep your eye on the ball. This is not about rockets

What if Hamas dumped all their rockets in the sea tomorrow? Would Gazans enjoy the same freedoms as other nations? Would they be able to open their sea port to foreign ships and rebuild and operate their airport? Would they be able to import and export and carry on trade and develop their economy and prosper like other countries?

Would they be allowed to exploit and develop their offshore gas field? Would their fishermen be allowed to fish in unpolluted waters? Would their young people be able to come and go and take up places at foreign universities?

Would Israel clear out of Gazan airspace permanently? Would the Israeli navy cease its piracy and stay out of Palestinian territorial waters? Would you and I be able to visit Gaza direct?

Fat chance. None of this would suit Israel. So Gazans would be no better off. Their tormented half-existence would continue.

There are no rockets coming out of the West Bank. Yet the illegal Israeli occupation there continues and so does the ethnic cleansing, the land theft, the illegal settlements, the colonization, the demolition of Palestinian homes, the throttling of the economy, the abduction and 'administrative detention' of civilians and the massive interference with freedom of movement. Nothing has changed for West Bank Palestinians who DO NOT fire rockets. There is no sign of an end to their misery.

The bloody assault on Gaza therefore has much more to do with Israel's ambition to expand racial dominance in the Holy Land than crude and erratic rocket-fire. Hamas and the Palestinians holed up in Gaza are simply in the way of the Grand Plan and have to be removed or totally subdued.

The international community needs to keep their eye on the ball - the big issue – which is the ending of the occupation and Israel's withdrawal to recognized pre-67 borders as required by international law. In short, they need to stop wringing their hands and start delivering justice, which is long overdue.

Palestinians in Gaza will hardly wish to give up armed resistance until they receive copper-bottomed guarantees of a normal life unmolested by Israel... and see concrete evidence of it.

Israel Attacks Gaza, Silence from Mainstream Media about Israeli Violations of International Law

Gaza Attack: The Spin

Israël a détruit le seul entrepot majeur de médicaments qui restait dans la bande de Gaza. À voir dans le reportage de la CBC.

Medical Officials: Gaza has Run Out of Medicine

According to Dr Hassunin, hospitals in Gaza are operating without any medical supplies whatsoever, while three of the main hospitals have been badly damaged. The ambulance services are now operating at 50 percent capacity due to a lack of medical and personnel resources. The entire area is now being serviced by five ambulances and three fire brigades.

UN official says Israel responsible for breaking truce with Gaza

Karen Abu Zayd, commissioner of the UN Relief and Works Agency which helps Palestinian refugees, raised the possible violation of an informal truce in a video press conference with UN reporters from her base in Gaza.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Plus there was Israel's attack on November 5th that killed 6 HAMAS officials.

Now Israel declares 'war to the bitter end'

Israel's defence Minister, Ehud Barak, warned yesterday that his country was engaged in "a war to the bitter end" with Hamas as a third day of fierce bombing brought the estimated Gaza death toll to 320. Two Israelis were killed in retaliatory rocket barrages last night as Hamas struck deep inside Israeli territory.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Two, huh?

Yeah, HAMAS is a real existential threat to Israel, isn't it?

Israeli Military Surprised by Relative Lack of Hamas Response

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Our government told us they would all turn into werewolves and drink our blood!!! But these are just plain folks with small businesses. Why are we having to kill them???"

Shock, Awe and Lies: The Truth Behind the Israeli Attack on Gaza

Up and down the American media and political establishments, you will find nothing but bleatings about Israel being "forced" to launch its vicious blunderbuss attacks against heavily populated Gaza because of the "recent spate of Hamas bombings" since the end of a six-month ceasefire.

This is of course a damnable and deliberate lie.

Israel rejects truce, presses on with Gaza strikes

Israel on Tuesday rejected any truce with Hamas Islamists in the Gaza Strip before cross-border rocket fire ceased and said its air strikes, the fiercest in decades, heralded "long weeks of military action."

Israeli ground forces massed on the border of the coastal enclave for a possible invasion while Israeli warplanes pressed on for the fourth day with attacks on Hamas targets, killing 12 Palestinians. They included sisters aged 10 and 12.

Israel rejects call for truce; Gaza attacks to continue

Livni: Gaza truce would give Hamas legitimacy

Webmaster's Commentary:

Livni? Hamas WON the election. That MAKES them legitimate.

Israel's problem from day one is that it demands recognition of itself as a legitimate state, yet had consistently refused to accord that same right to anyone else.

Israel's Plan A and B for Gaza

The strategy is the same as followed in Lebanon with Hezbollah: Give time to Israel so they can advance all they can in destroying infrastructure and operative capacity of Hamas, and then call for a cease to bring "peace".

La vaste campagne de propagande israélienne:

MY BRIEF RESPONSE TO ZIONIST DISINFORMATION

Zionist Hasbara operatives have been claiming that the current Israeli genocidal onslaught in Gaza is a “war against Hamas” and that it was only necessitated by the firing of Palestinian rockets on Israel.

This is a big lie. Read the following:

“Hamas had repeatedly said it was willing and ready to stop “all” firing of projectiles from Gaza if only Israel would lift the deadly blockade. And Israel repeatedly said “No.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel WANTED this war. They planned for it (you paid for it) and back on November 5th (when you were busy looking at Obama's victory) Israel kicked it off with a raid into Gaza that killed 6 HAMAS officials.

Israeli intensifies PR campaign to gain int'l sympathy for Gaza operation

As the Israel Defense Forces pound Gaza, senior officials have launched an aggressive public relations campaign, in an attempt to gain international sympathy for Operation Cast Lead.

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni on Saturday instructed the Foreign Ministry to take emergency measures to adapt Israel's international public relations to the ongoing escalation in the Gaza Strip.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is essentially an admission that Israel knows they are morally wrong in what they are doing, but still arrogant enough to think they can sell it to the rest of the world.

I wonder if their "aggressive" PR campaign includes shelling their own people in Israel to have a few more bloody shirts to wave around.

UN: 25% of those killed in Gaza civilians

"A minimum of 25% of all those killed are civilians and it may well be far higher," UNRWA spokesman Christopher Gunness told AFP

Since the start of the Israeli offensive on Saturday at least 390 Palestinians have been killed and another 1,900 wounded, according to Gaza medics. At least 42 of those killed have been children, they say.

Air strikes continue; 395 killed, 2,000 injured

Israeli Military Declares Online Media ‘Another War Zone’

As the media struggles to get up-to-date information, television news coverage is narrow, and often relies on interviews with Israeli government officials explaining why the killings are righteous and legitimate expressions of democracy and freedom, more and more people are turning to online news sites (like WRH) for their war coverage.

The Israeli military has therefore announced that online media and the blogosphere are another warzone for the military to manage. To that end, the military is launching its own Youtube channel to bring the viewing public footage of “precision bombing operations” in the strip.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Welcome to the front lines!

Israel posts video of Gaza bombings on YouTube

Webmaster's Commentary:

Leni Riefenstahl would be proud.

And for those of you who don't (or would rather not) remember; Leni was one of Hitler's greatest propagandists during the 3rd Reich.

Wonder if there's any place in these videos where they're talking about just how wonderful pre-emptive infanticide of Palestinian children feels to them, and what a "rush" they get from it!!

Note that in all these videos, comments have been disabled.

YouTube shoots down Israeli air strike videos

YouTube censors have removed several videos showing footage of air strikes and other attacks on Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip which were posted by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on its new YouTube channel.

One of those videos was reportedly a clip showing a group of suspected Hamas militants being blown up in an air strike as they loaded missiles onto a truck (see main image above).

"We are saddened that YouTube has taken down some of our exclusive footage showing the IDF's operational success in operation Cast Lead against Hamas extremists in the Gaza Strip," the IDF spokesman's office said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I'll bet YouTube got a lot of complaints about those.

Israel’s lie machine is working flat out

While the murderous assault on Gaza continues, I notice there's a briefing document on the website of the Israeli Embassy in London which has a lie in every line. The West's mainstream media repeat them, and even the most senior TV and radio interviewers don’t bother to challenge them.

Israel’s lie machine working flat out to dodge “killer” question

Stuart Littlewood shows how Israel’s public relations strategy frames and defines the situation in Israel’s own terms regardless of the truth and, using advanced propaganda skills and the elaborate Israel lobby network, it seeks to persuade Western politicians and media to accept Israel’s version of events.

I have been listening to the BBC’s senior interviewers these last few days. None has had the gumption to ask Israeli spokesmen the only question that matters – the “killer” question on which hangs the key to peace: WHEN IS ISRAEL GOING TO END ITS OCCUPATION AND RETURN TO THE PALESTINIANS THEIR LANDS AND FREEDOM?

Israel's Constant Crisis: It's a survival mechanism

Defenders of the Israeli government and its policies often complain that Israel just wants to be treated as a "normal country," like any other. They cavil that the Jewish state is treated like an outsider, a pariah, and held up to standards that don't apply anywhere else. The big problem for these complainants, however, is that Israel is not a normal country, and never has been.

IDF launches YouTube Gaza channel

In the midst of its Gaza operations, the IDF is entering yet another conflict zone: the Internet. The Israeli army announced yesterday the creation of its own YouTube channel, through which it will disseminate footage of precision bombing operations in the Gaza Strip, as well as aid distribution and other footage of interest to the international community.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Obviously part of the aggressive PR campaign to try to sell this lemon to the rest of the world.

Special spin body gets media on message, says Israel

Israel believes its has won broad international support in the media for its actions in Gaza thanks to its PR strategy, which through a new body has for months been concerned with formulating plans and role-playing to ensure that government officials deliver a clear, unified message to the world's press.

The body, known as the National Information Directorate, was set up eight months ago following recommendations from an Israeli inquiry into the 2006 Lebanon war. Its role is to deal with hasbara - meaning, in Hebrew, "explanation", and referring variously to information, spin, and propaganda.

The directorate's chief, Yarden Vatikai, said: "The hasbara apparatus needed a body that would co-ordinate its agencies, coordinate the messages and become a platform for co-operation between all the agencies that deal with communication relations and public diplomacy."

Israel Claims Success In War Spin

“Whenever Israel is bombing, it is hard to explain our position to the world,” said Avi Pazner, Israel’s former ambassador to Italy and France, and one of the officials drafted in to present Israel’s case to the world media. “But at least this time everything was ready and in place.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

You just go on telling yourself that, Avi. Just go on telling yourself that.

Stealing Gaza

It's a tragedy that the Israelis - a people who must understand better than almost anybody the horrors of oppression - are now acting as oppressors. As the great Jewish writer Primo Levi once remarked "Everybody has their Jews, and for the Israelis it's the Palestinians". By creating a middle Eastern version of the Warsaw ghetto they are recapitulating their own history as though they've forgotten it. And by trying to paint an equivalence between the Palestinians - with their homemade rockets and stone-throwing teenagers - and themselves - with one of the most sophisticated military machines in the world - they sacrifice all credibility.

THE DR. GOEBBELS OF ISRAELI PROPAGANDA UNLEASHES LIES AND DECEIT.

The Dr. Goebbels of Israeli propaganda, Yardin Vatikai, chief of the Israeli Zionist’s propaganda office known as the National Information Directorate (NID), has his work cut out as he attempts to justify and lie Israel’s way out of accusations by the people of the world that Israel is committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.

At Least 425 Killed in Gaza as Israel Running Out of Things to Bomb

An Israeli air strike today killed Nizar Ghayan, an influential Hamas figure, as well as nine women and 11 children. Though the overall toll in the strip is difficult to ascertain amid the chaotic situation on the ground, reports are that the toll is now at least 425 dead and over 2,000 wounded.

And as Israel defends its decision to reject the international call for a ceasefire, the air strikes continue apace, though they are running into one obstacle: after six days of salvos into the densely populated strip the Israeli military is really running out of interesting things to bomb.

364 Killed, Over 1,500 Wounded as Gaza Strikes Continue

Israeli warplanes pounded the Gaza Strip for a third straight day, and Defense Minister Ehud Barak promised that the war would continue “to the bitter end.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

".. or until the elections, whichever comes first!"

Israel’s War Crimes and Change we can believe in

Once again, Israel is in the midst of murder and wanton destruction in Palestine. Gaza, after being starved of food, shelter, medical supplies and electricity, is again the stage for mass murder, the likes of which would normally elicit cries of protest the world over. However, the warped zeitgeist that currently pollutes reactions to Israeli violence has only led to the usual commentaries of moral equivalence.

Israel Launches New Attacks as Chances of Halt to Fighting Dim

Israeli warplanes launched fresh attacks against Hamas targets on the seventh day of a bombing campaign in the Gaza Strip and Palestinian militants hit a southern city with rockets as chances of a rapid halt to the fighting dimmed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US can stop the fighting. All they have to do is stop the weapons and money. But the US Government will not, or more likely, cannot; being totally under the thumb of Israel.

Livni: No humanitarian crisis in Gaza

"There is no humanitarian crisis in the Strip, and therefore there is no need for a humanitarian truce," the Foreign Ministry quoted Livni as saying in a statement on Thursday.

‘Key Ally In The War On Terror’ Breaks With U.S., Condemns Israel For Gaza Strikes»

Just as they did during Israel’s 2006 war against Hezbollah, Iraq’s leaders are now showing where their true sympathies lie. Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s Da’wa Party “issued a statement condemning the attacks and calling on Islamic countries to cut relations with Israel and end all ’secret and public talks’ with it.”

Khalid Hussain of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI) told Gulf News “We have obligations towards Palestine and all Iraqi people are in solidarity with the people in Palestine, and we will support the people in Gaza.” […]

“Iraqi resistance groups have to retaliate against the Israeli aggression on Gaza by escalating their operations against the US military in Iraq since the US position is in favour of this aggression, firstly, and secondly because the United States and Israel are both enemies of the Arabs,” Omar Al Kubaisi, an activist of the Sunni Muslim Clerics Association.

* News * World news * Israel and the Palestinian territories Eye witness 'The injured were lying there asking God to let them die'

There is talk [the Israeli air strikes] were targeting the police and security forces but in Shifa hospital, I saw many, many civilians, some dead, some injured, some were children, some were women, some were elderly people.

There are people without their legs in very severe pain. The doctors and nurses were trying to give them painkillers and to keep them alive. Patients are lying there knowing they've lost their legs. Some were asking God if they could die. They were in a terrible psychological state.

Gilad Atzmon - Eine Kleine Nacht Murder: How Israeli Leaders Kill for their People's Votes

In order to grasp the latest devastating murderous Israeli expedition in Gaza one must deeply comprehend the Israeli identity and its inherent hatred towards anyone who fails to be Jewish and a hatred against Arabs in particular. This hatred is imbued in the Israeli curriculum, it is preached by political leaders and implied by their acts, it is conveyed by cultural figures, even within the so-called ‘Israeli Left’.

Cynthia McKinney Mentions USS Liberty on CNN - Full Video

"While American media regularly cover up Israeli actions, those of us who have visited the region first-hand witness a level of US-funded Israeli cruelty that makes us weep for our victims and fear for our country. While most Americans are uninformed on how Israel uses our money, people throughout the world are deeply aware that it is Americans who are funding Israeli crimes. Perhaps It's time to kick AIPAC out of the US and tell Israel they are on their own." ~ by legalizeliberty from the dailypaul.com

Israeli Navy attacks and wounds Dignity in International Waters

On Tuesday, December 30, at 5 a.m., several Israeli gunboats intercepted the Dignity as she was heading on a mission of mercy to Gaza. One gunboat rammed into the boat on the port bow side, heavily damaging her. The reports from the passengers and journalists on board is that she is taking on water and appears to have engine problems. When attacked, the Dignity was clearly in international waters, 90 miles off the coast of Gaza.

The gunboats also fired their machine guns into the water in an attempt to stop the mercy ship from getting to Gaza.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Shades of the Lusitania!

Only this time, there was no ammo on board!

With a US Congresswoman aboard Dignity, it will be interesting to see how the whores in Washington (and Kailua) spin this as anything but a serious breach of international and diplomatic protocols by Israel. If the US Government fails to respond, it will signal to the world that Israel does indeed have a stranglehold on the government of the United States.

Look at it this way. If a Navy vessel belonging to an Arab nation intentionally attacked a mercy ship carrying a US Congresswoman, how would the US media and government react?

Please repost this story everywhere you can!

UPDATE: Israel's official comment, being parroted all over the US Corporate media as I type this, is that Dignity rammed the Israeli gunboat! Of course, this lie will not survive when the photos and videos taken by the journalists on board Dignity reach shore, but that is the claim Israel is making; that tiny little Dignity chased down and rammed a warship!

UPDATE 2: Aware that video of the ramming will soon reach the internet Israel has now changed its story and is now saying that they did not know it was an aid ship when they rammed it.

This is, of course, the same lame excuse Israel made following their attack on the USS Liberty

Maybe the world needs to take away Israel's weapons until they can learn to choose their targets more carefully.

Pro-Palestinian activists say Israel Navy fired on protest boat off Gaza shore

Israel has declared the coastal territory a closed military zone and said the Free Gaza Movement boat would not be permitted to dock.

Yigal Palmor, a spokesman for Israel's Foreign Ministry, said the boat failed to respond to Israeli naval radio contact, and that an Israeli vessel "clashed with the ship."

Free Gaza Movement told Reuters their boat, carrying 3.5 tons of medical aid with 16 people aboard, was rammed and shot at while in international waters about 70-80 miles off Gaza by Israeli naval vessel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Latest word from the passengers and crew is that the Israeli ship rammed Dignity three times, putting the lie to the initial Israeli claim that the collision was an accident.

Paul V. Rafferty: Reasons for Israel’s aggressive policy to the Palestinians

The answer is quite simple. It is because the rulers of Israel are in league with those of the United States and the United Kingdom, in an “Imperial Triumvirate” that seeks to control the Middle East and the rest of the world.

The great Jewish Philosopher, Maimonides once said “My enemies? I will eliminate them – by making them my friends.”

CALL TO ACTION: SHIP ON MERCY MISSION TO GAZA UNDER ATTACK BY ISRAELI NAVYBOATS

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel has just announced that Dignity rammed THEM, and the obedient US media is echoing this ludicrous claim!

Keep in mind that Tzipi Livni is still insisting there are no civilian casualties in Gaza even as the bodies of babies pile up,
while it was finally proven that the US Government has been lying all these years about the weapons carried on board the Lusitania. So, you know whose story can be trusted and who you should assume is a liar!

Gaza's 9-11: When fighting back isn't an option

I am currently in Cambodia and took photos of some of the Killing Fields displays in Phnom Penh. They are a sad reminder of what horrors mankind is capable of committing and a powerful incentive for every man, woman and child in the world to work for peace -- starting right now!

When the World Trade Center was destroyed, Americans did everything they could to protect themselves.

When Spain's transit system was bombed, everyone throughout the world mourned.

When Britain's subways were attacked, the world stood back in shock and measures were taken.

LIVE FROM GAZA ~~ “I HEARD THE MISSILE COMING”

“I was having my dinner when I heard the missile’s whistle,” a helpless Abu-Fatahi told IslamOnline.net from his bed at Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City.

In just seconds, the missile hit his family’s house in the Dir Al-Balah City, razing it to the ground.

“I flew in the sky and then I found myself lying on the floor at our neighbors’ house,” he recalled the harrowing moments with tears flashing in his eyes.

Abu-Fatahi can’t remember what happened next.

Shortly afterwards, another missile was fired, this one hitting a building full of occupants, 300 meters from al-Attar’s home. The home, little more than concrete and asbestos, belongs to the Abbasi family. The father, Ziad, is a building contractor. Three of his children were killed in the strike and remained buried under the rubble: Sadki, age 3; Ahmed, age 12 and Mohammed, age 14. The parents and three other children were wounded.

Day Four: Gaza War Postings

Reporters are being barred by Israel from going into Gaza to cover the carnage. Many have been relegated to reporting from behind Israel's declared military zone, some report from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv and rely on phone dispatches by stringers in the Gaza Strip. The best television coverage I've seen so far comes from Al Jazeera; the most provocative comes from Hezbollah's Al Manar. The Israeli coverage on IBA TV and Ch 10 reminds me of FOX News during the Iraq War with a focus on military strategies, graphics and interviews, with Israeli government spokesmen and generals.

Union urges immediate boycott following Gaza university bombing

The Palestinian Federation of Unions of University Professors and Employees condemns in the strongest possible terms the bombing today of the campus of the Islamic University in Gaza. This wanton destruction of an academic institution is only the latest in the ongoing lethal campaign launched by the Israeli government and army against Palestinian society in the Gaza Strip. This murderous rampage has caused more than 300 deaths and the injury of close to 1,500 Palestinians. And the carnage continues with impunity.

Activists urge Obama to rethink US role in Mideast

KAILUA, Hawaii (AP) — A handful of pro-Palestinian activists protested outside President-elect Barack Obama's vacation home on Tuesday and urged a new approach to the Middle East.

Pro-Palestinian protesters at Obama's Hawaii house

A small group of placard-waving pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered near U.S. President-elect Barack Obama's vacation retreat in Hawaii on Tuesday to protest against the Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.

Obama has made no public comment on the strikes, which Israel launched on Saturday. Aides have repeatedly said he is monitoring the situation and continues to receive intelligence briefings but that there is only one U.S. president at a time.

Some critics, however, say Obama did choose to speak out after the attacks on the Indian city of Mumbai in November in which gunmen killed nearly 180 people, condemning them as acts of terrorism.

Marty Peretz and the American political consensus on Israel

Not a word of condemnation of the Israeli blockade -- which has caused extreme suffering and deprivation in Gaza -- or of the massively disproportionate response or the ongoing and ever-expanding Israeli occupation. It is all one-sided support for whatever Israel does from our political class, and one-sided condemnation of Israel's enemies (who are, ipso facto, American enemies) -- all of it, as usual, sharply divergent from the consensus in much of the rest of the world.

A hard-hitting Lecture regarding The Israel Lobby & U.S. Foreign Policy

Two most powerful Professor's from United States.
John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt discuss The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy. Go along with Q&A session.

What is at the heart of the special relationship between the United States and the state of Israel? Does Israel truly represent a strategic U.S. asset in the Middle East? Are the two nations really partners in the same "War on Terror", with the same threats up against them, and the same interests at stake?

Israel's War Crimes

The Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip represent severe and massive violations of international humanitarian law as defined in the Geneva Conventions, both in regard to the obligations of an Occupying Power and in the requirements of the laws of war

Even the most naive American voter cannot be expected to see the morally, legally and politically questionable death sentence given to Saddam Hussein a milestone in the Bush Administration's illegal war in Iraq. As the milestones pile up, so do the bodies.
Those violations include:

• Collective punishment: The entire 1.5 million people who live in the crowded Gaza Strip are being punished for the actions of a few militants.

• Targeting civilians: The airstrikes were aimed at civilian areas in one of the most crowded stretches of land in the world, certainly the most densely populated area of the Middle East.

Hollywood stars shun pro-Israeli diamond store

Hollywood stars have called for their pictures to be removed from the website of a diamond company that is associated with settlement expansion in Israel and human rights violations in Africa.

The diamond stores owned by Jewish-American billionaire Lev Leviev had to remove pictures of several actresses after they complained of being linked to a company that funds settlements in the Palestinian occupied territories, a statement issued by the pro-Palestinian human rights group Adalah- New York said.

The actresses include Salma Hayek, Sharon Stone, Whitney Houston, Halle Berry, Drew Barrymore, Brooke Shields, Andie Macdowell, and Lucy Liu.

Israel was established 60 years ago this month. Israelis are celebrating, but Arabs recall the state’s founding as the “Nakba,” or catastrophe. What’s your view?

When Israel was established in May 1948, its leaders pledged that the new state would be a model of justice in the world – a “light unto the nations.” They told the world that they were founding a country in which, at long last, Jews would live in peace and security. They said that Israel would be a self-sufficient nation where Jews would prosper on the basis of their own labor, abilities and efforts.

Israel’s leaders declared that they were creating a new society in which Jews would finally live as a “normal” people in a country of their own. Israel and its founding ideology, Zionism, was supposed to solve the centuries-old problem of tension between Jews and non-Jews.

Although Israelis cite some impressive achievements over the past 60 years, the Zionist state has failed to achieve its proclaimed goals.

Far from being a beacon of morality, it has deservedly earned a global reputation as an oppressive, self-righteous, arrogant and belligerent state.

Lights Out in Gaza, News Blackout in US

Despite international outcry over escalating violence, the U.S. mainstream media continues to privilege a prepackaged narrative in which Israel's actions are never disproportionate, never counterproductive and certainly never gratuitous. According to the mainstream media, the U.S. must continue uncompromisingly supporting Israel because the allegedly beleaguered democracy is held hostage by monomaniacal Islamofascists who are inherently evil. Promoting a paradigm in which Israel is always David up against Goliath, the U.S. media presents suffering Palestinians as expendable for the greater cause of Israel winning its epic struggle. To justify U.S.'s carte blanche to Israel, the mainstream media restricts American readers to an echo chamber in which the following claims are repeated ad nausem until they are mistaken for fact:

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is WHY we should demand that CNN and FOX news, indeed ALL news channels be optional for cable TV systems. We know they are lying; why should we be forced to pay for it? I will gladly trade all of CNN and FOX (and all of MSNBC except for Olbermann and Maddow) for The Daily Show.

ISRAEL’S SLAUGHTER OF GAZANS DONE ‘HUMANITARIANLY’

REPORT DIRECT FROM GAZA

Gaza Strip, 30 Dec, 2008- Israeli air force still launching the heaviest bombardments in Gaza ever. The fourth day of Israeli military operation started with heavy bombings took place west of Gaza City in addition to killing 2 children and around 10 in various places in Gaza to raise death toll to 390 while wounded people up to 1 thousand and 700 most of them civilians.

THE WORLD MUST SAY “NO” TO JEWISH NAZISM BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE

The genocidal Israeli onslaught against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is strikingly similar to the German blitz in the initial stage of the Second World War. The pretexts are nearly the same and the behaviors of both Nazi and Israeli political and military leadership are nearly identical.

And as the German Nazis sought to justify their blitz against their neighbors to the east, using a plethora of carefully concocted lies and pretexts, Israel is doing virtually the same thing.

However, unlike the Nazis whose naked aggression was widely condemned around the world, the ongoing Israeli onslaught against the Gaza Strip is being condoned, even celebrated, by a huge media network throughout the western world from Sydney to Los Angeles.

An Israeli War Crimes Tribunal (ICTI) May be the Only Deterrent to a Global War

The United Nations General Assembly must immediately establish an International Criminal Tribunal for Israel (ICTI) as a "subsidiary organ" under U.N. Charter Article 22. The ICTI would be organized along the lines of the International Criminal Tribunal for Yugoslavia (ICTY), which was established by the Security Council.

The purpose of the ICTI would be to investigate and prosecute Israeli war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide against the Peoples of Lebanon and Palestine--just as the ICTY did for the victims of international crimes committed by Serbia and the Milosevic Regime throughout the Balkans.

The US will veto ... unless the US is also included among the accused for war crimes.

Israël qui essaie d’inclure l’Iran dans le conflit:

Gaza rockets put Israel’s nuclear plant in battle zone

Israeli officials say that Hamas has also acquired dozens of Iranian-made Fajr-3 missiles with an even longer range. Many fear that as the group acquires ever more sophisticated weaponry it is only a matter of time before the nuclear installation at Dimona, 20 miles east of Beersheba, falls within its sights. Dimona houses Israel’s only nuclear reactor and is believed to be where nuclear warheads are stored.

“Maybe Hamas will get a big present from Iran or Hezbollah, a few good long-range missiles and they’ll use it,” said Limor Brina, 40, a jeweller who is learning the lessons of life under rocket threat: she sleeps with her clothes on and heads to a shelter whenever the siren sounds.

Israel’s worst nightmare is that soon all its cities will be within range either of the Hezbollah Katyushas arrayed on the Lebanese border to the north or the increasingly sophisticated missiles stockpiled by Hamas to the south. Both groups have links to Israel’s archenemy Iran.

ISRAEL TRYING TO SPREAD THE WAR INTO IRAN.

Israel's envoy to the U.S., Sallay Meridor, on Tuesday blamed Iran for the situation in Gaza.

"What you see in Gaza is made by Iran - it's funded by Iran, the terrorists are trained by Iran, it's supplied by Iran, the know-how to create short range rockets is Iranian, he said. "As an octopus, Iran has proxies in region and beyond the region, and at the same time they?re moving towards nuclear weapons."

"This is not a separate Israeli problem or a threat to Israel, this is very well-connected to the threat in Mumbai, Be'er Sheva, or God forbid, NYC, and we can defeat it only if we stand together determined not to let those terrorists to kill citizens and destroy our way of life. You must act against a terror if you want to give peace a chance," he said, adding: "We are making efforts to make sure that whatever humanitarian aid wants to get to Gaza will get into Gaza.

Bolton: Gaza Conflict Could Lead To U.S. Attack On Iran

Powerful JINSA in US: Iran is the problem

JINSA Accuses Iran of Facilitating Rocket Attacks on Israel
* Monday December 29, 2008

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs today accused Iran of facilitating Hamas rocket attacks on Israel.

“The role of Iran in the training and buildup of the Hamas arsenal has been regrettably overlooked by the world’s media and many of its political leaders,” said Tom Neumann, executive director of the Institute.

“Hamas’s rocket attacks have become longer range and more lethal as a result of Iranian assistance and training,” he said.

No country can remain on the sidelines while its towns and villages are subject to daily barrages of rockets, Neumann said. “Israel’s military response to the attacks came only after it had exhausted all other means.”

Iran on full alert in wake of Israeli raids

Iran's Air Force is on alert after the country's president envisaged major regional developments in the wake of the Israeli raids on Gaza.

The chief Iranian Air Force Commander Brigadier General Hassan Shah-Safi said on Wednesday that the ongoing critical situation in the Middle East has prompted the Iranian military to take necessary measures to ensure readiness in the event of the country becoming the target of an offensive.

Iran tells Arabs now is time to act over Gaza attacks

Iran's president told the Arab League, which began a meeting on Wednesday, it must act quickly to end Israeli attacks on Gaza Palestinians adding that setting up a committee or making speeches was not enough.

Israeli Gaza 'massacre' must stop, Syria's Assad tells US senator

Hundreds in Mich., NYC, LOS protest Gaza attack

Israel's military strikes on the Gaza Strip prompted pro-Palestinian protests in America, with marchers denouncing the violence in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, New York City and Los Angeles.

Hundreds of protesters braved 30-degree weather Tuesday and filled eight blocks of a major thoroughfare in Dearborn, widely seen as the heart of Arab America. They waved flags and carried signs condemning Israel and showing pictures of casualties.

Israeli raids harbinger of regional developments: Ahmadinejad

President Ahmadinejad said Tuesday that the fierce Israeli air assault on Gaza, which “aims to root out Hamas and the Palestinians”, would only lead to the “disintegration of the Israeli regime”.

“Committing genocide against innocent people will only lead to the gradual disintegration of the regime,” said the Iranian president in his address to the country’s Majlis (parliament).

Israel has rejected calls for an immediate cease-fire. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert called the four-day bombardment of Gaza “the first of several stages”, suggesting that the conflict is far from over.

The Holocaust

Holocaust denial is anti-Semitic. But I’m not talking about World War II, Mahmoud Ahmedinijad, or Ashkenazi Jews. What I’m referring to is the holocaust we are all witnessing and responsible for in Gaza today and in Palestine over the last 60 years. By definition, a holocaust is a mass slaughter of people or a thorough destruction involving extensive loss of life, especially through fire. There isn’t a more accurate description of the hell that US-armed and –funded Israeli Occupation Forces are unleashing on the people of Gaza at this moment. Since Arabs are Semites, US-Israeli policy doesn’t get more anti-Semitic than this.

Thousands of protestors demand end to Israeli raids in Gaza

Thousands of people demanded an end to Israeli raids in the Gaza Strip in a protest Tuesday outside the US State Department in Washington.

Protestors carrying red-white-green-and-black Palestinian flags and wearing black-and-white checkered head scarves chanted slogans like "Stop the Killing, Stop the War, Stop the Genocide of Palestinians."

Some of them also held aloft banners that read "Stop US Aid to Israel" and "Free, Free Palestine."

An AFP reporter said there initially appeared to be around 200 protestors, but a larger crowd returned to the State Department later in the evening following a march to the White House.

A police officer told AFP he estimated the later crowd at around 2,500 protesters, while organizers said the number was closer to 5,000 people.

Palestine RIP on dailymotion (the one censored by Youtube)

This video was linked to by What Really Happened.com as far back as 2004. It was re-made and placed on youtube in Jan 2006 in several languages. As of Dec 11, 2008 all but one form of the video (the Arabic language one) was removed from youtube/ADL. That is because the Arabic version of the video had been loaded twice. The first one much later than the French, German, japanese, or Spanish because I had a harder time finding a translator. So buried in my video I guess they didn't find it. Also the tags are in Arabic.

Did you notice how the ADL took out Youtube first and THEN Israel started a war? Copy it, upload it and make them censor you. It only means that they are afraid of us. Blogging and youtube growth has shaking the mass media. They aim to censor and control it.

The IAF, bullies of the clear blue skies

Our finest young men are attacking Gaza now. Good boys from good homes are doing bad things. Most of them are eloquent, impressive, self-confident, often even highly principled in their own eyes, and on Black Saturday dozens of them set out to bomb some of the targets in our "target bank" for the Gaza Strip.

They set out to bomb the graduation ceremony for young police officers who had found that rare Gaza commodity, a job, massacring them by the dozen. They bombed a mosque, killing five sisters of the Balousha family, the youngest of whom was 4. They bombed a police station, hitting a doctor nearby; she lies in a vegetative state in Shifa Hospital, which is bursting with wounded and dead. They bombed a university that we in Israel call the Palestinian Rafael, the equivalent of Israel's weapons developer, and destroyed student dormitories. They dropped hundreds of bombs out of blue skies free of all resistance.

If Americans Knew - what every American needs to know about Israel/Palestine

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the world’s major sources of instability. Americans are directly connected to this conflict, and increasingly imperiled by its devastation.

It is the goal of If Americans Knew to provide full and accurate information on this critical issue, and on our power – and duty – to bring a resolution.

DEAD PALESTINIAN CHILDREN HAVE NAMES TOO

Every time an Israeli child is harmed, the whole world mourns, and rightly so. The whole world is informed of that child’s name, his or her parents’ agony, and the tragic circumstances that caused this death.

However, when a Palestinian child is harmed, no one in the world seems to care. No one is told of his or her name. No one is informed about the pain of the parents, siblings, and grand parents who loved him or her. The zionist propaganda machine has succeeded in dehumanizing Palestinians. Palestinians are portrayed as terrorists, murderers, radicals, or sub-humans. That way, it becomes much easier not to care about such a people, no matter how many of them are turned into refugees, how many of their homes are demolished, how much of their land is confiscated, how many of them are imprisoned, and how many of them are killed or wounded.

Peace, Propaganda and the Promised Land: Media & the Israel-Palestine Conflict

Israel 's Warships off Gaza coast, too

JERUSALEM - Israel's retaliation against persistent Hamas mortar and rocket attacks on civilians in southern Israel has been far more ferocious than anyone, including Hamas, expected.

The first few days of intensive Israel Air Force bombing in Gaza reduced hundreds of Hamas government buildings, military compounds, laboratories, metal workshops and supply tunnels to rubble and left more than 350 Palestinians, most of them militants, dead, according to UN and Hamas officials.

But as the air strikes continued and Israeli tanks massed on the Israel-Gaza border and Israeli warships lined up along Gaza's Mediterranean shoreline, it was not clear how much longer the operation would last or how its goals would be achieved.

Pacifying Gaza

Defense Minister Ehud Barak (the Hebrew surname means "lightning," German "Blitz") did it again: a historic record of over 200 Palestinians killed in a single Sabbath's blitz (Dec. 27). Polls now predict five additional Knesset seats for his Labor Party in the coming February general election. That's 40 Palestinian corpses per seat. No wonder he promises it's just the beginning: at this pace, it will take Labor just about two thousand additional corpses to go from rags to riches, from a dead political party to an absolute majority in parliament like in the good old days. For Barak, then, the Gaza obituaries are a matter of political survival: they are pasted up on his party's obituary.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder just when Israeli television will euphorically return to the concept of "body counts" in running their stories on Gaza.

EXAMPLES OF HATE SPEECH

David Ben Gurion (the first Israeli Prime Minister): "If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti - Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault ? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?"

Israeli rabbis: Thou shalt kill civilians

"When a population living near a Jewish town sends bombs at the Jewish town with the purpose of killing and destroying Jewish lives there, it is permitted, according to Jewish Law, to fire shells and bombs at the firing sites, even if they are populated by civilians," read a ruling issued by Rabbi Yaakov Yosef, Rabbi Dov Lior, Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpe and Rabbi Meir Mazuz.

The ruling seems to give a free hand to Israeli commanders to attack Gaza's civilian population and persuade those troops who have reservations to kill civilians due to humanitarian considerations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And what happens if the bombing is carried out by some outside elements, and not members of the community?

Does the IDF then kill every man, woman, and child left standing, even though they are innocent?

FPA Statement 5 on the Gaza Strip Massacre

Consecutive Statements of the Free Palestine Alliance
A Tribute to Our Youth:
FPA Statement 5 on the Gaza Strip Massacre
December 31, 2008

This is the fifth in a series of statements the FPA is issuing daily on the ongoing Gaza massacre that has entered its fifth day. As of the time of writing this statement, at least 394 Palestinians have been murdered and more than 2,000 have been injured. The number of killed and injured continues to rise as the Zionist Israeli army persists in its savagery and more people are uncovered from under destroyed homes and neighborhoods.

The intense bombardment has been indiscriminate, targeting homes, markets, schools, neighborhoods, places of worship, along with administrative offices and government centers. Lest it is forgotten, these bombs are raining on the roofs and streets of a starved and besieged people, whose only lifeline and access to the world have been mere hand-made tunnels that have now been completely destroyed.

Amira Hass, Israeli journalist reports Gaza trauma

Israeli Journalist Decries Civilian Casualties in Gaza
By Greg Mitchell

NEW YORK (December 31, 2008) -- A powerful column appeared Tuesday in the Jerusalem daily Haaretz, written by one of its top correspondents, Amira Hass, reporting on Gaza, which opens: "This isn't the time to speak of ethics, but of precise intelligence. Whoever gave the instructions to send 100 of our planes, piloted by the best of our boys, to bomb and strafe enemy targets in Gaza is familiar with the many schools adjacent to those targets -- especially police stations. He also knew that at exactly 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, during the surprise assault on the enemy, all the children of the Strip would be in the streets - half just having finished the morning shift at school, the others en route to the afternoon shift."

The truth about those Hamas rockets

Five years ago, the Bush administration lied about weapons of mass destruction to dupe us into supporting an illegal, immoral invasion of Iraq.

A few days ago, Israel trotted out only an infinitesimally more credible excuse -- the Hamas rockets case -- as justification for its own murderous shock and awe in Gaza, a long-planned campaign perniciously aimed at ousting a “regime” that came to power via popular, democratic vote.

Yes, such rockets exist, but they’re little more than slingshots against Israel’s incredible military might, and they’re used out of desperation by Palestinians who’ve never been accorded the democratic space within which to gain redress of their eminently just grievances.

Israeli apologists have presented absurd propaganda about those devices.

We’ve been asked, for instance, what would we do if rockets were being launched on our homes in New York or Texas, from Canada or Mexico?

LIVE FROM GAZA ~~ DAY 5 OF THE ISRAELI BLITZKRIEG

Many calls raised for a ceasefire. The Islamist Hamas Movement expressed its readiness for a truce in return of lifting siege and ending the recent launched War. The Hamas stance was conveyed to Russia which is trying to play role to end this War. Lately in Tuesday, Israel refused a French suggestion of 48-hour-truce.

HAMAS GAINING SYMPATHY AS ONSLAUGHT CONTINUES

With the massive Israeli onslaught against the Gaza Strip continuing unabated, and with Israeli political and military leaders threatening to “decimate” Hamas, Palestinian intellectuals as well as ordinary people expect Hamas’s popularity to rise dramatically when the present Israeli campaign is over.

Israel claims that its war on Gaza is with Hamas, not with the Palestinian people. However, There is hardly a Palestinian who would give the Israeli claim the benefit of the doubt.

HOW YOU CAN BRING PEACE WITH JUSTICE TO GAZA ~~ 26 WAYS

So far hundreds of civilians have been killed in Gaza. Five sisters in one family, four other children in another home, two children on a cart drawn by a donkey. Universities, colleges, police stations, roads, apartment buildings were all targeted. The UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian areas issued a statement that “The Israeli air-strikes on the Gaza Strip represent severe and massive violations of international humanitarian law as defined in the Geneva Conventions, both in regard to the obligations of an Occupying Power and in the requirements of the laws of war.”

Israeli attacks draw mixed reactions

These are the names of the glorious military victory we achieved there - Jawaher, age 4; Dina, age 8; Sahar, age 12; Ikram, age 14; and Tahrir, age 17, all sisters of the Ba'lousha family, all killed in a "precise" strike on the mosque. Another three sisters, a 2-year-old brother and their parents were injured. Twenty-four neighbors were wounded and five homes and three stores destroyed. This part of the military victory did not open our television or radio news broadcasts yesterday morning, nor did they appear on many Israeli news Web sites.

Israel targets children in Gaza

A Curious Case of Cynthia McKinney.

So… the Israelis come out into international waters and scatter the waves with machine gun fire and then ram this boat, “Dignity” and some people are asking if it even happened or happened anywhere near the way they said it happened because Cynthia, you know, she likes to push policemen around and she’s got that 9/11 virus. Official sources say that this boat, which isn’t built for the job, took evasive action and that’s why it happened when …the boats that are designed for this sort of thing hit her. Later it was just called an accident that happened three times. The cool thing about dealing with reality instead of fiction is that you don’t have to stretch the truth cause the truth will just stretch itself to contain whatever's needed to prove once again that truth is stranger than fiction depending on your version of the truth.

The intelligence

Israeli power is, of course, extremely creative in determining the fields of law, morality and knowledge within which it operates. After all, when the IDF slaughtered women outside a mosque in plain view not only of the public but of the cameras, it was immediately explained by Israeli spokespeople and their apologists that the women were in fact part of a cunning Hamas military operation to stop morally upright Israeli men from killing morally degenerate Palestinian men. So, they were a legitimate target. And besides, it was hinted, why do they get to wear the veil? What are they hiding? So, if needs must, the very category of civilian, adult or child, male or female, can be conjured out of existence. And then Lt Gen Ashkenazi can come out to the podium and explain: "our intelligence shows that 1.5 million terrorists were eliminated today..."

If Hamas Did Not Exist

Let us get one thing perfectly straight. If the wholesale mutilation and degradation of the Gaza Strip is going to continue; if Israel’s will is at one with that of the United States; if the European Union, Russia, the United Nations and all the international legal agencies and organizations spread across the globe are going to continue to sit by like hollow mannequins doing nothing but making repeated “calls” for a “ceasefire” on “both sides”; if the cowardly, obsequious and supine Arab States are going to stand by watching their brethren get slaughtered by the hour while the world’s bullying Superpower eyes them threateningly from Washington lest they say something a little to their disliking; then let us at least tell the truth why this hell on earth is taking place.

Six Hamas activists killed during Israeli raids in Gaza Strip

This is the story (now confirmed by CNN) of the Israeli attack that broke the truce between Israel and HAMAS.

Also, it has been confirmed that Israel imposed the blockade on November 4th, also while HAMAS was still honoring the truce.

So, as the UN correctly noted, Israel provoked the current escalation, not HAMAS.

Gaza strikes enter seventh day

Israel bombed more targets in Gaza, including a mosque they said was being used to house weapons, a day after a senior Hamas leader was killed in an air strike.

Israel imposes general closure on West Bank

Israel's defense establishment on Thursday night decided to seal off the West Bank for two days, as the ongoing deadly assaults in Gaza Strip has strained relations between Jews and Arabs.

The Politics of An Israeli Extermination Campaign: Backers, Apologists and Arms Suppliers

Because of the unconditional support of the entire political class in the US, from the White House to Congress, including both Parties, incoming and outgoing elected officials and all the principle print and electronic mass media, the Israeli Government feels no compunction in publicly proclaiming a detailed and graphic account of its policy of mass extermination of the population of Gaza.

Israel’s sustained and comprehensive bombing campaign of every aspect of governance, civic institutions and society is directed toward destroying civilized life in Gaza. Israel’s totalitarian vision is driven by the practice of a permanent purge of Arab Palestine informed by Zionism, an ethno-racist ideology, promulgated by the Jewish state and justified, enforced and pursued by its organized backers in the United States.

British telecom firm severs ties with Israeli counterparts

British telecommunications firm FreedomCall has terminated its cooperation with Israel's MobileMax due to the IDF operation in Gaza.

Children among the casualties in Gaza fighting

At least 37 children and 17 women have died, according to the Hamas-run Health Ministry. The United Nations has said the death toll includes 34 children.

The broad range of Israel's targets — police compounds, fire stations, homes of militants, Hamas-run mosques and university buildings — means most shelling is occurring in residential areas.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Apparently then, Pre-emptive infanticide appears to be one of the cornerstones of the IDF's tactics in Gaza.

Exchange of fire reported between Hamas and Israeli troops

A short exchange of fire between Israeli special forces and Hamas militants was reported east of the southern Gazan city of Khan Younis on Wednesday night.

Witness and Palestinian sources said that the fighting has ended and there was no sign that Israel has launched ground operation against Gaza, adding that Israeli special forces used to come into the area and hunting Palestinian rocket launching cells.

Israel lets foreigners flee Gaza Strip

In what may be viewed as a sign of an impending IDF ground operation in Gaza, Israel allowed dozens of Palestinian holders of foreign passports to flee the fighting in the Strip on Friday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Don't think for a moment that this has to do with any humanitarian considerations.

The Israelis don't the realities of the carnage which is to come reverberating through the halls of power in those countries where Palestinians hold dual citizenship.

That would really put an even larger crimp in Israel's international charm offensive" justifying this slaughter.

The Lie That Justifies Mass Murder: "Hamas Hit Us First"

Those who have been inside Gaza know Israel struck first, and Hamas’s response is only a token for lack of serious armaments. On December 29, 2008, on CNN, A united Nations official in Gaza, an English woman named Karen, stated she has lived in Gaza for six years, and whose job it is to organize distribution of UN purchased food. She set a Zionist friendly reporter straight. His loaded question was, “do the Gazans know that only Hamas is to blame for their sufferings?”

Israel extrajudicially executes Hamas leader and his family

The most significant attacks by IOF today was an air raid that targeted the houses of Abu al-Jabin family and Nizzar Rayyan, who is a leader in the Hamas movement. At approximately 2:40pm today, Israeli aircrafts fired five heavy missiles at the two houses, which are located in the middle of Jabaliya refugee camp -- one of the most densely-populated places in the world -- killing at least eight people, including 49-year-old Rayyan, his wife Nawal Rayyan, his six-year-old son Abdul-Rahman Rayyan, and another woman related to him, 49-year-old Sabah Abdul-Rahman Rayyan. Ten houses were destroyed completely and dozens others were damaged. The number of casualties in this attack is expected to rise.

The Reality In Gaza -

Hamas has been hit hard, but its missile arsenal and command structure still intact

Hamas has absorbed massive Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip but its military capacity has not been significantly diminished.

Military sources said an assessment by the air force and intelligence community concluded that Hamas still retained its huge majority of its missile and rocket arsenal. The sources said the assessment also determined that Hamas's command structure remained intact.

Jewish critics of Gaza op

However, the most shocking and offensive criticism came from Harvard University’s Sarah Roy. Writing in the Christian Science Monitor, Roy observes that the fighting started on Chanukah and asks: “How am I to celebrate my Jewishness while Palestinians are being killed?”
