Proving before the world that the US Government is still Israel's bitch! M. Rivero WRH
The United States on Saturday vetoed a U.N. Security Council resolution urging an immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and condemning an Israeli attack there that killed 18 Palestinian civilians.

The "work accident".
Video Death On A Gaza Beach:
News > World -- U.S.-trained expert: Explosive that killed 8 Palestinians on Gaza beach was Israeli shell
Gaza is dying. The Israeli siege of the Palestinian enclave is so tight that its people are on the edge of starvation. Here on the shores of the Mediterranean a great tragedy is taking place that is being ignored because the world's attention has been diverted by wars in Lebanon and Iraq.

Beit Hanoun and Jabaliya have to be punished.... The women of Beit Hanoun helped their men out of an Israeli ambush, and the citizens of Jabaliya practiced peaceful resistance and forced Israel to back off. Now they will see what it means to resist the occupier. Presumably they will attack tomorrow, when the US is having Thanksgiving, and not paying attention.... it's the Israeli way. M. Rivero WRH
"The violation of human rights I think in this territory is massive," Louise Arbour, the U.N. high commissioner for human rights, told reporters during a visit to Beit Hanoun, a town the Israeli army shelled earlier this month, killing 19 civilians.
"The call for protection has to be answered. We cannot continue to see civilians, who are not the authors of their own misfortune, suffer to the extent of what I see."

Sounds great: but what will the UN actually do about this, in light of the US veto certain to come against almost any statement critical of Israel? M. Rivero WRH

I got a lot of emails about a joke I put in this space earlier, and I wondered just how many of these writers had bothered to send email to Israel about the killing, and about calling these murders a "work accident".
I am getting tired of people being so worried about how Israel's feelings might get hurt when Israel does not have the courtesy to return the favor. This brainwashing to always be in guard that one not say or do anything to hurt Israel's feelings is just conditioning, a device to permanently skew the socio-political environment to favor a particular agenda. If you wrote to me to complain about the joke, but DIDN'T write Israel to complain about the murders, and about the callousness of calling the murders a "work accident", then you are part of the problem.
