As soon as I crossed the barrier, I was slammed by a couple of cops, handcuffed and then actually run around the front of the White House while the cops tried to find a paddy wagon to stick me in—about 50 people were running with the cop and I, yelling: “Let her go, let her go.” When the officer and I finally got to the paddy wagon, I was surprised to find that only two others had followed me. One other crossed the line to bring our detained numbers up to eight.

US authorities have arrested a number of anti-war protesters, including high-profile activist Cindy Sheehan, during a demonstration in Washington DC.

Sheehan, who has been and anti-war campaigner since she lost a son in the Iraq war, may stand trial, reports indicate.

A short memo to the Obama administration: if it is true that you are actually dense enough to attempt to bring Cindy Sheehan to trial, what charges would be made against her?

That she exercised her First Amendment rights, under the Constitution, of free speech and free assembly?!?

Making a martyr out of this woman and her movement will absolutely invigorate every bit of anti-war sentiment which exists in this country, and that sentiment is growing exponentially by the millisecond.

Thinking people understand that we were lied in to the war with Iraq because of the potential for private profit from the oil.

They also understand that the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan were to produce two outcomes, also for private profit; the installation of pipelines with which to control Eurasian oil, and the control of the drug trade, from which so many profit so handsomely.

People are furious that their sons, daughters, precious family and friends, our brave young men and women in uniform, have fought, died, or gotten maimed for life in military operations which have absolutely nothing to do with the safety and security of the United States, but everything to do with private profit.

That is not what these young men and women signed up for, when they volunteered to join the US military.

And if our physically or mentally wounded Vets did, by some miracle manage to make it home, sick to death with depleted uranium poisoning, or maimed for life, the same government which cavalierly sent them into harm's way for private profit, found most of them completely expendable when they got back.

Translation: The latest escalation in Afghanistan has turned into a disaster for the US and they need somebody to blame for it.

U.S. Turns a Blind Eye to Opium in Afghan Town

The effort to win over Afghans on former Taliban turf in Marja has put American and NATO commanders in the unusual position of arguing against opium eradication, pitting them against some Afghan officials who are pushing to destroy the harvest.

From Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal on down, the military’s position is clear: “U.S. forces no longer eradicate,” as one NATO official put it. Opium is the main livelihood of 60 to 70 percent of the farmers in Marja, which was seized from Taliban rebels in a major offensive last month. American Marines occupying the area are under orders to leave the farmers’ fields alone.

Translation: American and NATO commanders have not been put"... in the unusual position of arguing against opium eradication."

The control and distribution of Afghan drugs, from which so many profit so handsomely, was one of the expected outcomes of the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan.

And please note that before the US/NATO invasion and occupation, the Taliban had managed to almost completely eradicate opium poppy production.

Do you believe that it was merely coincidence that after the US and NATO invaded Afghanistan, opium production soared?!?

The White House is considering whether to detain international terrorism suspects at a U.S. military base in Afghanistan, senior U.S. officials said, an option that would lead to another prison with the same purpose as Guantanamo Bay, which it has promised to close.

The idea, which would require approval by President Obama, already has drawn resistance from within the government. Army Gen. Stanley A. McCrystal, the top commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, and other senior officials strongly oppose it, fearing that expansion of the U.S. detention facility at Bagram air base could make the job of stabilizing the country even tougher.

That the option of detaining suspects captured outside Afghanistan at Bagram is being contemplated reflects a recognition by the Obama administration that it has few other places to hold and interrogate foreign prisoners without giving them access to the U.S. court system, the officials said.

Without a location outside the United States for sending prisoners, the administration must resort to turning the suspects over to foreign governments, bringing them to the U.S. or even killing them.

Studies conducted by a group of Italian researchers have revealed the presence of dangerous levels of toxins in the bodies of Palestinian victims of Israeli bombings during operation Cast Lead in 2008-2009. The results of tests conducted on a sample of 15 dead and wounded victims of the war on Gaza, in addition to another sample of 95 citizens, showed the presence of 30 toxic components, notably high levels of uranium. A senior Ministry of Health official in Gaza, Medhat Abbas, confirmed the findings during a press conference last Thursday.

But please, take a good look at what your tax dollars are buying in terms of the Israeli IDF's use of toxic chemicals against Palestinian citizens.

The office of the minister of education forbade distributing a booklet for kids about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, because it didn’t like two articles in the declaration, as well as some of the illustration in the booklet.

These two articles are as follows:

"Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution." (Article 14)

"Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance." (Article 18)

Lebanese army fires on Israeli warplanes: military

Lebanese anti-aircraft guns opened fire on two Israeli warplanes that were violating its airspace at medium altitude on Sunday, the military said.

The incident came amid rising regional tension and heightened concern in Lebanon over recent Israeli threats against Shiite militant party Hezbollah and its backers Syria and Iran.

Israel is itching to get back into Lebanon, and is doing its level best to provoke a nasty military response which will give them the "justification" for another all-out attack.

If they get what they are looking for, this time, they will go all the way to the Litani River, because they desperately need the water resources.

The US' Choreographed "Outrage" At Israel

Israel's announcement came on the same day that Biden had arrived in the country to proudly confirm the US' "absolute, total and unvarnished" commitment to its ally, and commence indirect talks with the Palestinians. Following the announcement, protests and violent clashes broke out in Jerusalem and elsewhere throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

The US hopes that this pretended outrage will lend its role as “honest broker” enough credibility to keep the “peace process” moving, itself merely a PR facade that shields Israeli crimes from public scrutiny. So, the slave-labor camps of the Nazis were propagandized into death camps; their enslaved populations portrayed as primarily Jewish, delousing became gassing, and the entire grizzly horror story decorated with hoaxes about soap made from human fat, lampshades made from human skin, mysterious electrical rays that caused bodies to vanish, and so forth. Rudolph Hoess was beaten into "confessing" how Jews were deliberately exterminated at Camp Walzcak.

So the world, ignoring Hitler's warning about falling for the "Big Lie", stood hack and allowed Israel to do to Palestine what Hitler was crushed for doing to Poland and France, etc. Indeed Israel's crimes against the Palestinians continue to this very day, protected from the world's condemnation by endless Hollywood images of the orthodox tale of WW2.

But time makes ancient truth uncouth. We know that Ramses II lied when he carved his temples to show a victory over the Hittites at Kadesh. We know that JBL lied about torpedoes in the Gulf of Tonkin. We know Bush lied about Saddam's 'nooks." We know IPCC and CRU are lying about human-caused global warming.

The great lies of history rarely survive for very long outside their own time.

Laboratory tests show the soap supposedly made from human fat contains very little fat, and that it came from pigs (a major embarrassment for all those graveyards that gave bars of soap funerals). Lab test showed the lampshades were made from goats. The shrunken heads displayed as trophies made by death camp commanders turned out to be souvenirs from South America totally unrelated to Hitler's time. There was no magic electrical machine that made bodies vanish. Ground penetrating radar shows no mass graves at Treblinka. Zyklon-B is an insecticide. The crematorium at Auschwitz was built AFTER the war to deal with the still-raging Typhus epidemics which were the real cause of the death and emaciation at the German camps. And the Camp Walczak testified to by Hoess never existed.

Although we are brainwashed from birth to always tell the truth, the reality is that we live in an age of lies told by our leaders to control us, loot us, molest our children, and then send them off to die in pointless wars of conquest.

Israel 'to unveil plans to build nuclear power plant'

Israel is expected to unveil plans this week to build a nuclear power plant, reports say.

They say an announcement will be made by Israeli Infrastructure Minister Uzi Landau at an energy forum in Paris.

Israel is facing a crisis over electricity supplies, but environmental objections have blocked efforts to build a new coal-fired plant.

Israel has two nuclear reactors, including the Dimona facility which is said to have produced nuclear weapons.

The secret reactor is located in the south of the country. Israel neither confirms nor denies having nuclear weapons under its policy of "ambiguity".

The other facility is a research reactor near Tel Aviv, which is open to international inspections.

Israel is not a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) which is designed to curb the spread of nuclear technologies with bomb-making potential.

'Joint project'

Mr Landau is expected to tell the conference in Paris that Israel is considering building a nuclear power plant, reports say.

He has reportedly discussed the possibility of co-operating in the project with French Energy Minister Jean-Louis Borloo, together with neighbouring Jordan.

France is one of the world leaders in electricity production from nuclear power.

In the 1950s, Paris helped Israel to build the Dimona facility.

The Washington Times is a newspaper that looks with favor upon the Bush/Cheney/Obama/neocon wars of aggression in the Middle East and favors making terrorists pay for 9/11. Therefore, I was surprised to learn on February 24 that the most popular story on the paper’s website for the past three days was the “Inside the Beltway” report, “Explosive News,” about the 31 press conferences in cities in the US and abroad on February 19 held by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, an organization of professionals which now has 1,000 members.

I was even more surprised that the news report treated the press conference seriously.

I have no doubt about the case. I have no doubt at all this was a classic FBI cover-up and frame-up.

The FBI has attempted to blame three different men for the anthrax Attacks, Dr. Steven Hatfill, Dr. Ayaad Assaad, and finally Dr. Bruce Ivins.

In both the Hatfill and Assaaad cases, the FBI was eventually forced to concede the men were innocent (wrecking Hatfill's life in the process). When Bruce Ivins died and was no longer able to defend hinmself, the FBI said "That'stheguycaseclosedthankyouforcomingtothepressconference" and slammed the door.

But...

As hard as the FBI pushed to lay the blame for the Anthrax letters on Dr. Steven Hatfill, Dr. Ayaad Assaad, and Dr. Bruce Ivins, the FBI worked equally hard to ignore a real suspect, Dr. Philip Zack, the one man actually caught by the security systems entering the lab where the anthrax used in the letters was kept, without authorization and after losing his job over a racially-motivated attack on the above Dr. Assaad, who is Egyptian and hated by the Jewish Dr. Zack.

But the FBI avoided Dr. Zack entirely.

Why?

Because Zack is Jewish? It should be noted that Hatfill's chief accuser and author of his torment was Dr. Barbara Rosenberg, who actively kept the FBI's attention focused on Hatfill.

One thing is clear. The actual letters included with the anthrax were written to look like they were mailed by semi-literate fanatical Arab muslims. Now that we know that the anthrax itself came from a US Government lab, and that Drrs. Hatfill, Assaad, and Ivins are not semi-literate Arabs, it is obvious that the one thing the anthrax investigation does prove beyond a shadow of a doubt is that there was a conspiracy to frame Arabs for terror attacks inside the United States.

The health care bill requires the IRS to monitor individuals and businesses via mandatory reporting on income tax returns. If you don’t pay up, the IRS will let loose one of their estimated 16,500 new agents, armed with shotguns and fresh “combat training,” to convince you otherwise.

IRS to Enforce Health Reform

(CNSNews.com) – The Internal Revenue Service will function as the government’s chief enforcer for health care reform, should President Obama sign the bill into law as expected, monitoring both businesses and individuals to certify whether they have the insurance coverage the government requires.

If either an individual or a business has failed to comply with this mandate for any month out of the year, they are required to pay a separate tax to the IRS. For individuals this is a maximum of $750 per person (up to $2,250 per household) and $750 per uncovered employee for businesses.

Because these penalties would each apply on a monthly basis, individuals and employers would have to pay 1/12th of the maximum penalties for each month they failed to comply with the mandates.

In order to carry out its new monitoring and enforcement duties, the Congressional Budget Office estimated that the IRS will need $10 billion in additional funds, funds which were not made available under the health reform bill.

Because they were more familiar with the contents of the law than anyone in the country, it says a lot that they carved out their own special loophole. Mr. Obama frequently tossed around the talking point that the new law gave people the same type of coverage as Congress enjoyed.

The special exemptions slipped into the health care law are another example of how those statists who rule consider themselves a privileged class, imposing burdens on the country that they will not accept themselves. Candidates for office in 2010 should pledge to close these and other loopholes in the law that impose unequal burdens and create exclusive privileged classes in America. Meanwhile, we await Mr. Obama's explanation why if his "historic" health care law is so great for America, it's not good enough for him and his family.

US admits germ war tests in Britain

The United States has acknowledged it carried out a sweeping Cold War-era test programme of chemical and germ warfare agents in Britain and North America.

An unknown number of civilians were exposed at the time to "simulants", or what were then thought to be harmless agents meant to stand in for deadlier ones, the Defense Department said. Some of those were later discovered to be dangerous.

A glib 33 second propaganda ad produced by the Kentucky Department for Public Health portrays skeptics of the swine flu vaccine as raving lunatics, despite the fact that the head of the Council of Europe’s investigation into the 2009 outbreak labeled it “one of the greatest medical scandals of the century.”

The commercial, which is entitled ‘H1N1 Vaccine Myths,’ features a group of office workers spewing ridiculous theories about the swine flu vaccine that have never been embraced by any vaccine skeptic, in an attempt to build a classic straw man and smear people who question the necessity for taking the shot as unstable lunatics.

The actors in the ad debate whether the H1N1 vaccine was “made from platypus milk,” or whether it “makes you susceptible to hypnotic suggestion.”

The clip ends by another actor in the ad stating, “It was made from secret alien technology found on the moon.”

“Some folks believe anything,” states an assertive female voice, “The swine flu vaccine is safe, effective, and you still need it, learn more at Kentucky’s flu website, that way you can separate the fact from the fiction.”

Unfortunately, Kentucky health authorities have completely failed to separate the fact from the fiction during the course of their 33 second ad, because they attribute outlandish theories about the vaccine to skeptics who have never even uttered such things.

While the advertisement frames suspicion about the vaccine in the context of tin-foil hat wearing madness, in reality the swine flu pandemic has been denounced as a gargantuan hoax not by demented paranoid psychotics, but by the head of the Council of Europe’s Sub-committee on Health, Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg, who as the chief of a major investigation into the H1N1 outbreak, labeled the case a “fake pandemic” manufactured by pharmaceutical companies in league with the WHO to make vast profits while endangering public health.

In a separate interview, Wodarg labeled the pandemic, “One of the greatest medical scandals of the century.”

Danish Scientist Absconds with $2 million More Info - Key character who "proved" vaccines don't cause autism.

A Danish scientist who was a key researcher in two studies that purport to show that mercury used in vaccines and the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine do not cause autism is believed to have used forged documents to steal $2 million from Aarhus University in Denmark according to reports in the Copenenhagen Post Online and a statement from Aarhus University.

Poul Thorsen, MD PhD, headed up a research unit at Aarhus University that was hired by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to prepare a series of studies that would exonerate thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative and adjuvant used in vaccines, and the MMR vaccine from any role in causing autism. The veracity of the three studies he co-authored is now in doubt.

These studies formed the foundation for the conclusions of several Institute of Medicine reports that claimed that it was highly unlikely that thimerosal or MMR were implicated in autism.

In a statement Aarhus University officials said that believe Poulsen forged documents supposedly from the CDC to obtain the release of $2 million from the University. Poulsen resigned abruptly in March 2009 and left Denmark.

The introduction of a genetically modified potato in Europe risks the development of human diseases that fail to respond to antibiotics, it [has been claimed]. German chemical giant BASF this week won approval from the European Commission for commercial growing of a starchy potato with a gene that could resist antibiotics – useful in the fight against illnesses such as tuberculosis. Farms in Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic may plant the potato for industrial use, with part of the tuber fed to cattle, according to BASF, which fought a 13-year battle to win approval for Amflora. But other EU member states, including Italy and Austria and anti-GM campaigners angrily attacked the move, claiming it could result in a health disaster. During the regulatory tussle over the potato, the EU's pharmaceutical regulator had expressed concern about its potential to interfere with the efficacy of antibiotics on infections that develop multiple resistance to other antibiotics, a growing problem in human and veterinary medicine. Drug resistance is part of the explanation for the resurgence of TB, which infects eight million people worldwide every year.

Indian law would make criticizing GM crops an imprisonable offense

BANGALORE: Criticising Genetically Modified (GM) products could land you in jail — if the draconian draft Biotechnology Regulatory Authority Bill (BRAB) of 2009, which will be tabled in the current session of the parliament by the UPA government, is passed.

In an unprecedented muzzle on the right to freedom of speech of the citizen, Chapter 13 section 63 of the draft bill says, “Whoever, without any evidence or scientific record misleads the public about the safety of the organisms and products…shall be punished with imprisonment for a term that shall not be less than six months but which may extend to one year and with fine which may extend to two lakh rupees or with both.” The BRAI Bill drafted by the department of bio-technology under the Ministry of Science and Technology comes on the heels of a moratorium on Bt Brinjal announced by the Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh.

There are also other provisions in this bill which are disconcerting.

Article 27 (1) of the bill seeks to keep the information related to the research, approval and science of the GM Products out of the purview of the Right to Information ( RTI) Act.

In other words, farmers, NGO’s and Environmental groups that have been on the forefront of the campaign against BT Brinjal and other genetically modified crops, can longer obtain information about it.

GM crops cause liver and kidney damage

(NaturalNews) A report published in the International Journal of Microbiology has verified once again that Monsanto's genetically modified (GM) crops are causing severe health problems. A legal challenge issued against Monsanto forced the multi-national agriculture giant to release raw data revealing that animals fed its patented GM corn suffered liver and kidney damage within just three months.

Dr. Gilles-Eric Seralini, a French researcher from the University of Caen, was tasked with examining the data and providing a review. While stopping short of declaring GM crops to be toxic, he did emphasize that chronic negative effects were apparent and that there were "statistically significant" indications of kidney and liver damage.

The specific effects observed in test rats included a buildup of hormones in the blood, indicating that their liver and kidneys were not functioning properly. One variety of the corn led to elevated blood sugar levels and increased triglyceride levels in female rats given it.

Dr. Seralini concluded that, because GM crops are foreign substances that have never been a part of a normal diet, there is no telling what the long-term effects of consumption will be on people. In animals, significant disruption of normal bodily function has been observed even in the short term.

WASHINGTON — The House Foreign Affairs Committee voted narrowly on Thursday to condemn as genocide the mass killings of Armenians early in the last century, defying a last-minute plea from the Obama administration to forgo a vote that seemed sure to offend Turkey and jeopardize delicate efforts at Turkish-Armenian reconciliation.

The vote on the nonbinding resolution, a perennial point of friction addressing a dark, century-old chapter of Turkish history, was 23 to 22. A similar resolution passed by a slightly wider margin in 2007, but the Bush administration, fearful of losing Turkish cooperation over Iraq, lobbied forcefully to keep it from reaching the House floor. Whether this resolution will reach a floor vote remains unclear.

In Ankara, the capital, the office of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan immediately issued a sharp rebuke. “We condemn this bill that denounces the Turkish nation of a crime that it has not committed,” the statement said. Ambassador Namik Tan, who had only weeks ago taken up his post in Washington, has been recalled to Ankara for consultations, according to the statement.

Historians say that as many as 1.5 million Armenians died amid the chaos and unrest surrounding World War I and the disintegration of the Ottoman Empire. Turkey denies, however, that this was a planned genocide, and had mounted a vigorous lobbying campaign against the resolution.

A White House spokesman, Mike Hammer, said that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton had told Representative Howard L. Berman of California, the committee chairman, late on Wednesday that a vote would be harmful, jeopardizing Turkish-Armenian reconciliation efforts that last year yielded two protocols aimed at a thawing of relations.

Hungarian lawmakers make Holocaust denial illegal

Hungary's Parliament has passed a bill making Holocaust denial a criminal offense.

The legislation, which would mandate prison terms of up to three years for those found guilty of publicly "denying, questioning or making light of the Holocaust," was approved Monday night in the presence of Jewish community leaders.

US administration to block vote on Turkey 'genocide'

The Obama administration has said it will seek to block a controversial bill describing as genocide the World War I killing of Armenians by Turks.

A congressional panel on Thursday approved the resolution, paving the way for a possible vote by the House.

But US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the administration would "work very hard" to prevent this.
