Une nouvelle étude met en évidence les effets toxiques sur les cellules humaines du Roundup, l’un des herbicides les plus utilisés au monde, y compris sur les OGM alimentaires.
Haricots de soja génétiquement modifié pour résister à l’herbicide Roundup, de Monsanto.
Menée par Gilles-Eric Seralini et Nora Benachour, de l’université de Caen, cette étude (qui n’est pas la première du genre), publiée dans la revue scientifique américaine Chemical Research in Toxicology, s’est intéressée à la toxicité du Roundup sur différents types de cellules humaines (du cordon ombilical, de l’embryon et du placenta). L’expérience a porté sur quatre différentes formulations, à des doses correspondant à celles autorisées sur les cultures OGM (le soja notamment) modifiées génétiquement pour résister à cet herbicide.
Les résultats ont montré que ces formulations agissent à des doses infinitésimales (dilution jusqu’à 100.000 fois ou plus) et programment la mort de cellules (c’est l’apoptose). Elles causent aussi des dommages des membranes et de l’ADN, et empêchent la respiration cellulaire.
Le produit actif n’est pas seul en cause
Autre résultat, le mélange de différents constituants adjuvants des Roundup augmente l’action du principe actif de l’herbicide, le glyphosate, et qu’un de ses produits de transformation peut s’avérer encore plus toxique.
Cet effet des adjuvants « est grandement sous-estimé par la réglementation actuelle qui ne tient pas compte de ces phénomènes et fixe par exemple des Limites Maximales en résidus pour le glyphosate, quelle que soit sa formulation de vente » indique dans un communiqué le MDRGF (Mouvement pour le droit et le respect des générations futures).
Cette association demande aux autorités en charge de l’évaluation des pesticides de réévaluer les différentes formulations de Roundup en prenant en compte les effets de la toxicité du glyphosate.

Des additifs couramment utilisés dans l’alimentation industrielle, les phosphates inorganiques, contribueraient au développement des tumeurs du cancer du poumon et activeraient leur croissance selon une étude coréenne publiée dans l’American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
Les phosphates sont un nutriment essentiel pour les organismes vivants. Mais des niveaux élevés de phosphates inorganiques peuvent interférer avec les systèmes de communication des cellules de l’organisme, croient les chercheurs.
Les phosphates inorganiques sont présents dans une variété de produits alimentaires transformés : viandes (jambon, bacon), fromages, boissons, produits de boulangerie, céréales, ... Ils sont ajoutés pour améliorer la texture et la capacité des aliments de retenir l’eau.
Myung-Haing Cho de l’Université nationale de Séoul et ses collègues ont testé une alimentation contenant 0.5% ou 1% de phosphate, ce qui représente, selon les chercheurs, les niveaux présents dans l’alimentation moderne. Après 4 semaines, les analyses montraient une plus grande croissance des tumeurs des souris du groupe ayant 1% de phosphate dans leur alimentation.
Dans les années 1990, l’alimentation contenait en moyenne 470 mg par jour de phosphates inorganiques. Aujourd’hui, elle peut contenir 1000 mg par jour, indique le chercheur. L’alimentation moyenne actuelle en contiendrait ainsi un taux près du 1% alors que 0,5% est considéré comme un niveau normal.
Des recherches supplémentaires sont nécessaires pour définir un niveau sécuritaire de phosphates inorganiques dans les aliments, selon le chercheur.

And here is the problem: The Constitution grants to individual citizens a right to freedom of speech, to openly criticize the government without fear of punishment or interference.
But nowhere in the Constitution is the government granted the right to spend YOUR tax money to argue against you.
If individual service people, on their own time and using their own computers, wish to express their own personal opinions about what is going on, that is protect free speech, but organized programs where the US Government tells these military people what to post and how to post it is pure propaganda and an impediment to the process of free speech.

FBI plans large hiring blitz of agents, experts

For several days sources inside BART have leaked information that veteran officer Johannes Mehserle is organizing a defense around the idea that he meant to unholster his taser but mistakenly reached for his Glock 40 cal. instead. Claudine Wong seems to be working very hard for the defense by suggesting that a look of confusion and lack of response by the officers on the scene immediately after firing a bullet into the back of their prisoner proves that some sort of mistake was made.
What the anchor person and BART officials hope to sell to the public and any future jury members who happen to be watching is TASER Confusion. Taser confusion is a defense recently created by taser manufacturers and promoted by police unions around the nation.

The officer's gun is in police custody, the officer is a FEDERAL police officer, as BART is a federal agency: So procedures should have been clearly followed immediately. Yet, it is now a week later and the officer has still not even been interviewed, according to the 'chief' of BART police. Yesterday he quit the force, so that he would not have to give his version of events: and this sparked the riots!

For us "great unwashed", the fact that we killed someone would be sufficient to send us to jail. It would be irrelevant what we wanted to do or thought we were doing. "Honest, your honor, I thought I was holding a hair dryer next to her head when it went off!" would not get us a get-out-of-jail card.
I don't blame the people for rioting. The system has clearly broken down, and justice has indeed become "just us."
