A CNN Anderson Cooper segment which was set to demonize critics of big government and Obamacare as violent extremists backfired after radio host Alex Jones pointed out that corporate media outlets like CNN were responsible for killing over a million Iraqis as a consequence of their repeated lies about weapons of mass destruction.
Jones was invited for an interview on Friday to appear later that evening on Anderson Cooper 360, but the segment never aired, presumably because CNN program chiefs were so embarrassed at Jones’ proficiency in exposing how corporate news networks owned by the military-industrial complex were a far deadlier threat than any of the menagerie of domestic “extremists” CNN has sought to demonize in recent weeks.
CNN continued what has become a precipitous decline in ratings for its prime-time programs in the first quarter of 2010, with its main hosts losing almost half their viewers in a year.

L’auteur est juif israélien, né en Israël en 1963, et il s’est ensuite établi en Grande-Bretagne. Il est un musicien accompli, saxophoniste de Jazz et poète. Dans un autre remarquable article publié récemment, il expose les courants sous-jacents de l’extrémisme juif. Jusqu’à maintenant, presque personne a osé exposer le fait historique concernant la déclaration de guerre de la Judée mondiale contre l’Allemagne, bien avant que toute action allemande soit entreprise contre les juifs. L’article de Gilad Atzmon que je vous présente plus bas, survient suite à la controverse et la tempête diplomatique qui fut créé après l’annonce d’un projet de construction de 1 600 nouveaux logements dans une zone de Cisjordanie occupée, plan condamné par le vice-président américain Joe Biden qui était alors en visite en Israël pour tenter de relancer les discussions de paix au Proche-Orient. L’annonce du projet de construction de nouveaux logements pour des colons dans une zone annexée à Jérusalem fut une réelle claque au visage et a provoqué un vif mécontentement de la part de Joe Biden qui a alors déclaré que les politiques israéliennes mettaient en danger les intérêts américains et les troupes stationnées dans la région. Il y a donc beaucoup de colère juive contre Obama pour le simple fait que le vice-président et le Secrétaire d’État ont énoncé leur désaccord envers le massive trahison israélienne des intérêts américains en autorisant une large prise de possession de territoire dans Jérusalem-Est. Les véritables tyrans tolèrent bien mal la critique. Les États-Unis n’auraient qu’à menacer de couper l’aide financière annuelle de plus de 3 milliards de dollars à Israël pour se bien se faire comprendre et appliquer une véritable pression, mais hélas, nous pouvons tous voir qui est maître en la demeure. La semaine dernière, nous avons pu lire au sujet de l’agression de l’AIPAC contre le président Obama. Les médias ont rapporté que le lobby juif en Amérique avait ôté ses gants de velours. L’AIPAC a ouvertement décidé d’augmenter les pressions sur les dirigeants américains et, en particulier sur le Président Obama.
«Les récentes déclarations de l’administration Obama concernant la relation des États-Unis avec Israël est un sujet de grave préoccupation», a indiqué l’AIPAC dans sa déclaration. La réaction de l’AIPAC tombe juste après une fin de semaine de récriminations et d’exigences de la part des États-Unis, suite à l’annonce provocatrice d’Israël selon laquelle il avait donné son approbation préalable à la construction de 1600 appartements supplémentaires destinés à des colons juifs dans un quartier palestinien de l’Est de la ville de Jérusalem occupée. Contrairement au président Obama, qui semble avoir d’autres priorités telles que le projet de loi de réforme des soins de santé et la reprise économique des États-Unis, l’AIPAC affirme savoir quels sont les « véritables » des États-Unis et la manière dont ces intérêts doivent être poursuivis. «L’administration devrait faire un effort conscient pour s’éloigner des demandes du public et de tout ultimatum unilatéral visant Israël, avec qui les États-Unis partagent des intérêts élémentaires, fondamentaux, et stratégiques». L’AIPAC a également suggéré que les dirigeants américains se concentre sur une éventuelle confrontation avec l’Iran. «L’escalade rhétorique de ces derniers jours ne peut que nous détourner du travail de fond qui doit être fait en réponse au problème urgent que pose la course de l’Iran à l’arme nucléaire».
Les lobby juifs n’y vont jamais avec le dos de la cuillère lorsqu’il est question de faire pression sur des États, des dirigeants mondiaux et même des superpuissances. Le comportement de l’AIPAC, la semaine dernière, m’a rappelé la déclaration de guerre juive contre l’Allemagne nazie, en 1933.
Peu de gens sont conscients du fait qu’en mars 1933, bien avant qu’Hitler devienne le leader incontesté de l’Allemagne et commence à limiter les droits des juifs allemands, le Congrès juif américain annonça l’organisation d’une manifestation massive au Madison Square Garden et a appela à un boycott américain des produits allemands.
Évidemment, je ne pense pas qu’Obama ait quoi que ce soit en commun avec Hitler. Il n’y a vraiment pas grand-chose de commun entre les deux leaders, en termes de philosophie, d’attitude vis-à-vis de l’humanisme ou de vision de la paix mondiale.(1) Toutefois, il est difficile de fermer les yeux sur la similitude entre le comportement de l’AIPAC la semaine dernière et la conduite qui fut celle de l’American Jewish Congress en 1933.
Le 24 mars 1933, le Daily Express (Londres) a publié un article annonçant que les Juifs avaient déjà lancé leur boycott contre l’Allemagne et menacé de déclarer une «guerre sainte». L’Express exhortait les juifs du monde entier à boycotter les produits allemands et à manifester activement contre les intérêts économiques allemands.
L’Express a indiqué que l’Allemagne était «désormais confrontée à un boycott international de son commerce, ses finances, et son industrie… à Londres, New York, Paris et Varsovie, les hommes d’affaires juifs sont unis dans une croisade économique».
Les textes juifs ont tendance à outrepasser le fait que l’ordre d’Hitler du 28 mars 1933 ordonnant un boycott contre les magasins juifs et des marchandises, était une escalade en riposte directe à la déclaration de guerre à l’Allemagne lancée par les dirigeants juifs du monde entier. En fait, la seule enclave juive qui est prêt à admettre l’ordre historique des événements qui ont conduit à la destruction du judaïsme européen, c’est la secte antisioniste juive orthodoxe connue sous le nom de Juifs de la Torah. Je suppose que, de même, une fois que la relation se sera dégradée entre l’Amérique et ses lobbies juif, les idéologues juifs tribaux seront les premiers à oublier que c’est l’établissement juif américain qui a fait tant d’efforts pour nourrir l’animosité inévitable.
Si vous vous demandez pourquoi les politiciens juifs répètent exactement les mêmes erreurs encore et encore, la réponse est simple. Les juifs ne connaissent pas leur histoire juive, car il n’y a pas d’histoire juive.
Il se trouve que l’histoire juive est un ensemble de fables liées maladroitement ensemble pour présenter une fausse image d’un récit victorieux. L’histoire juive est un ensemble de taches aveugles groupés par le mythe, des fantasmes et des mensonges, afin de présenter l’illusion d’un récit du passé cohérent et un vague semblant de chronologie. Le professeur israélien Shlomo Sand nous a enseigné que les sionistes, et dans une certaine mesure, leurs rivaux bundistes, étaient loin d’être gênés d’«inventer» l’histoire de leur nation juive. Mais il va plus loin, même l’Holocauste, qui pourrait être un angle d’éclairage important dans la réflexion juive, a été transformé en un chapitre rigide qui perpétue la cécité. Comme vision du passé, il est là pour cacher et dissimuler, plutôt que révéler et informer. Dans un livre d’histoire juive, vous ne pourrez rien lire sur la «déclaration de guerre de la Judée contre l’Allemagne nazie». Dans les textes d’histoire du peuple juif, la chronologie démarre toujours quand la souffrance des Juifs débute. L’histoire juive transcende et existe au-delà de la notion de causalité. Elle nous persuade que la persécution des Juifs vient de nulle part. Le texte historique juif évite les questions nécessaires pour expliquer pourquoi l’hostilité évolue jour après jour, pourquoi les Juifs se font des ennemis si nombreux et si facilement?
Manifestement, les dirigeants de l’ AIPAC sont en train de répéter les graves erreurs de leurs prédécesseurs du Congrès juif américain. Ils n’apprennent rien de leur histoire, car il n’existe pas le moindre texte historique juif duquel on puisse retenir quelque chose. En lieu et place de texte historique, les juifs ont l’Holocauste, qui est un événement ayant mûri en devenant une religion. La religion de l’Holocauste est évidemment judéocentrique jusqu’à la moelle. Il définit la raison d’être des juifs. Pour les juifs, elle signifie une fatigue totale de la diaspora, elle considère le Goy comme un potentiel meurtrier « irrationnel ». La nouvelle religion juive prêche la vengeance. Elle va jusqu’à instituer un nouveau Dieu juif. Au lieu de l’ancestral Yehova, le nouveau Dieu juif est « le juif » lui-même : cet être courageux et futé, celui qui a survécu au génocide ultime, au plus sinistre des génocides, celui qui a ressurgi des cendres et qui est allé de l’avant vers un nouveau commencement.
Jusqu’à un certain point, la religion de l’Holocauste signale l’abandon du monothéisme juif, puisque chaque Juif est un Dieu ou une Déesse en puissance. Gilad Shalit est le Dieu ‘innocence’, Abe Foxman c’est le Dieu antisémitisme, Madoff est le Dieu de l’escroquerie, Greenspan est le Dieu de la ‘bonne économie’, Lord Goldsmith est le Dieu de la ‘feu vert’, Lord Levy est le Dieu de la collecte de fonds, M. Wolfowitz est le Dieu du nouvel expansionnisme américain et l’AIPAC est l’Olympe américain où des êtres humains élus par les Américains viennent implorer la miséricorde et le pardon d’être des Goyim et d’oser, à de rares occasions, dire la vérité sur Israël.
La religion de l’Holocauste est le stade ultime dans la dialectique juive; c’est la fin de l’histoire juive parce qu’elle est la forme la plus profonde et la plus sincère d’ ‘amour de soi’. Plutôt que d’inventer un Dieu abstrait préférant les juifs pour en faire son peuple élu, dans la religion de l’Holocauste les Juifs découpent et retirent la substance de la moelle divine. Le juif, tout simplement, s’élit lui-même. C’est pourquoi la l’identité politique juive se transcende au-delà de la notion de l’histoire. Dieu est le maître de cérémonie. Et le nouveau Dieu juif ne peut être soumis à des événements humainement contingents. Le nouveau Dieu juif, entendre par là « le juif », ne fait que réécrire les fables au service de la tribu, dès que le besoin s’en fait sentir. Cela peut expliquer pourquoi la religion de l’Holocauste est protégée par des lois, alors que n’importe quel autre chapitre et n’importe quelle autre narration de l’histoire peuvent être débattus ouvertement par les historiens, les intellectuels et les gens ordinaires.
Comme on peut le deviner, avec une telle vision du monde si intensément centrée sur soi, il n’y a plus beaucoup d’espace pour l’humanité, pour la grâce ou pour l’universalisme. Il est loin d’être clair si les juifs pourront un jour guérir collectivement de leur nouvelle religion. Toutefois, il est crucial que tout humaniste s’élève contre la religion de l’Holocauste qui ne peut que répandre la malheur, la mort et le carnage.

Par contre, comme Ventura le montre dans son enquête, de nombreux signes montrent que le gouvernement américain et de nombreuses grosses pointures, eux, y croient. Ils y croient assez pour investir des fortunes dans des bases et habitations souterraines. L'élite s'y prépare. Thousands of anti-war protesters took to the streets of the US capital Saturday, on the seventh anniversary of the US-led war in Iraq in a show of frustration widely ignored by the media and public.
As the National Marathon wound down in the city, protesters after midday gathered outside the White House bearing signs alluding to the high cost of the war both in money and human lives and decrying the use of unmanned aircraft, or drones, to bomb US enemies.
As soon as I crossed the barrier, I was slammed by a couple of cops, handcuffed and then actually run around the front of the White House while the cops tried to find a paddy wagon to stick me in—about 50 people were running with the cop and I, yelling: “Let her go, let her go.” When the officer and I finally got to the paddy wagon, I was surprised to find that only two others had followed me. One other crossed the line to bring our detained numbers up to eight.
US authorities have arrested a number of anti-war protesters, including high-profile activist Cindy Sheehan, during a demonstration in WashingtonDC.
Sheehan, who has been and anti-war campaigner since she lost a son in the Iraq war, may stand trial, reports indicate.

That she exercised her First Amendment rights, under the Constitution, of free speech and free assembly?!?
Making a martyr out of this woman and her movement will absolutely invigorate every bit of anti-war sentiment which exists in this country, and that sentiment is growing exponentially by the millisecond.
Thinking people understand that we were lied in to the war with Iraq because of the potential for private profit from the oil.
They also understand that the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan were to produce two outcomes, also for private profit; the installation of pipelines with which to control Eurasian oil, and the control of the drug trade, from which so many profit so handsomely.
People are furious that their sons, daughters, precious family and friends, our brave young men and women in uniform, have fought, died, or gotten maimed for life in military operations which have absolutely nothing to do with the safety and security of the United States, but everything to do with private profit.
That is not what these young men and women signed up for, when they volunteered to join the US military.
And if our physically or mentally wounded Vets did, by some miracle manage to make it home, sick to death with depleted uranium poisoning, or maimed for life, the same government which cavalierly sent them into harm's way for private profit, found most of them completely expendable when they got back.
US military may set up an additional headquarters in northern Iraq even after Washington scales back its forces by a September deadline, a top US general said on Tuesday.
As if destroying a country and its culture ain't bad enough, how about destroying its future, its children? I want to scream it from the rooftops! Since 1991, the U.S. has released the radioactive atomicity equivalent of at least 400,000 Nagasaki bombs into the global atmosphere. That is 10 times the amount released during atmospheric testing which was the equivalent of 40,000 Hiroshima bombs. The U.S. has permanently contaminated the global atmosphere with radioactive pollution having a half-life of 2.5 billion years.
The effort to win over Afghans on former Taliban turf in Marja has put American and NATO commanders in the unusual position of arguing against opium eradication, pitting them against some Afghan officials who are pushing to destroy the harvest.
From Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal on down, the military’s position is clear: “U.S. forces no longer eradicate,” as one NATO official put it. Opium is the main livelihood of 60 to 70 percent of the farmers in Marja, which was seized from Taliban rebels in a major offensive last month. American Marines occupying the area are under orders to leave the farmers’ fields alone.

Translation: American and NATO commanders have not been put"... in the unusual position of arguing against opium eradication." The control and distribution of Afghan drugs, from which so many profit so handsomely, was one of the expected outcomes of the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan.
And please note that before the US/NATO invasion and occupation, the Taliban had managed to almost completely eradicate opium poppy production.

Israel is expected to unveil plans this week to build a nuclear power plant, reports say.
They say an announcement will be made by Israeli Infrastructure Minister Uzi Landau at an energy forum in Paris.
Israel is facing a crisis over electricity supplies, but environmental objections have blocked efforts to build a new coal-fired plant.
Israel has two nuclear reactors, including the Dimona facility which is said to have produced nuclear weapons.
The secret reactor is located in the south of the country. Israel neither confirms nor denies having nuclear weapons under its policy of "ambiguity".
The other facility is a research reactor near Tel Aviv, which is open to international inspections.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The mainstream press is showing interest in a taboo, however glaring subject; the inconsistencies in the Bush White House 9/11 account.
The Washington Times is a newspaper that looks with favor upon the Bush/Cheney/Obama/neocon wars of aggression in the Middle East and favors making terrorists pay for 9/11. Therefore, I was surprised to learn on February 24 that the most popular story on the paper’s website for the past three days was the “Inside the Beltway” report, “Explosive News,” about the 31 press conferences in cities in the US and abroad on February 19 held by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, an organization of professionals which now has 1,000 members.
I was even more surprised that the news report treated the press conference seriously.
"He was leaning over the table, and I was on the other side of the table," Byrne said. "And he leaned forward and was just really excited at how finely milled the powder was."

In both the Hatfill and Assaaad cases, the FBI was eventually forced to concede the men were innocent (wrecking Hatfill's life in the process). Except this isn't a war against some foreign enemy -- it's a war being waged against your body by the pharmaceutical industry, the cancer industry, the surgery pushers and all the corporations that prey upon the public for their sick-care profits.
The cost of defying Obamacare by withholding compliance on your income tax return will not be for the faint hearted – families will be forced to cough up $2,250 a month while being closely scrutinized by an army of new IRS agents with fresh “combat training,” armed to the teeth with 12 gauge pump action shotguns.
The penalties associated with defying mandatory health care are staggering. From 2014 onwards, for every month that individuals or businesses with over 50 employees fail to carry a minimum level of health insurance, they will be hit with fines of up to $750 a month for individuals and $750 per uncovered employee for businesses. For a family of four, this could amount to a whopping $27,000 a year ($2250 a month for each household).
“Because these new mandates and taxes are under the purview of the IRS, taxpayers and businesses could incur additional penalties normally reserved for normal income tax cheats, paying fees over and above those for not complying with Congress’ new mandates,” writes Cover.
The health care bill requires the IRS to monitor individuals and businesses via mandatory reporting on income tax returns. If you don’t pay up, the IRS will let loose one of their estimated 16,500 new agents, armed with shotguns and fresh “combat training,” to convince you otherwise.
The increasing transformation of tax collectors into heavily armed SWAT-like goons coincides with the passage of Obamacare, legislation which will rest entirely on its aggressive enforcement by thousands of new IRS agents sent out to harass individuals and small businesses.
Obama promised five days for public consideration, discussion, and informed opinions about bills reaching the President before he would sign them into law.
Obama promised the identities online of lobbyists and corporations that would benefit from tax increases, including how much these corporations would benefit.
The amount American taxpayers lose from the “health” insurance company welfare bill compared with universal health care that eliminates corporate middle-men is between $100 and $300 billion every year.
Checking back in, it appears that post-passage support for the bill has waned even more.
Clearly we have taxation without representation as this bill does not represent the will of the people. It is (like the Carbon tax) a desperate grab for funds by a bankrupted and sinking government.
Following their successful effort to force totalitarian health control legislation down the throats of the American people, Obama’s allies are now pushing for climate change legislation.
After a hard-fought victory on health care reform, President Barack Obama's allies in Congress are setting their sights on climate change -- but some on both sides are already crying foul.
Environmentalists hope Obama will seize on new political momentum to push forward climate legislation, though some observers question whether he would seek another divisive vote as November congressional elections approach.

One of the unconstitutional provisions of this proposed legislative abortion called health care reform is the mandate that all Americans must buy health insurance.
If someone doesn’t buy health insurance they WILL be subject to fines and/or penalties.
The way the government is going to collect these fines/penalties is by use of IRS enforcement – not exactly what the mission of this powerful Federal agency is.
The only way the IRS can establish whether or not you have the “big brother” mandated health insurance is to check your medical records!
(CNSNews.com) – The Internal Revenue Service will function as the government’s chief enforcer for health care reform, should President Obama sign the bill into law as expected, monitoring both businesses and individuals to certify whether they have the insurance coverage the government requires.
If either an individual or a business has failed to comply with this mandate for any month out of the year, they are required to pay a separate tax to the IRS. For individuals this is a maximum of $750 per person (up to $2,250 per household) and $750 per uncovered employee for businesses.
Because these penalties would each apply on a monthly basis, individuals and employers would have to pay 1/12th of the maximum penalties for each month they failed to comply with the mandates.
In order to carry out its new monitoring and enforcement duties, the Congressional Budget Office estimated that the IRS will need $10 billion in additional funds, funds which were not made available under the health reform bill.

President Obama declared that the new health care law "is going to be affecting every American family." Except his own, of course.
The new health care law exempts the president from having to participate in it. Leadership and committee staffers in the House and Senate who wrote the bill are exempted as well. A weasel-worded definition of "staff" includes only the members' personal staff in the new system; the committee staff that drafted the legislation opted themselves out. Because they were more familiar with the contents of the law than anyone in the country, it says a lot that they carved out their own special loophole. Anyway, the law is intended to affect "ordinary Americans," according to Vice President Joe Biden
Mr. Obama frequently tossed around the talking point that the new law gave people the same type of coverage as Congress enjoyed.
The special exemptions slipped into the health care law are another example of how those statists who rule consider themselves a privileged class, imposing burdens on the country that they will not accept themselves. Candidates for office in 2010 should pledge to close these and other loopholes in the law that impose unequal burdens and create exclusive privileged classes in America. Meanwhile, we await Mr. Obama's explanation why if his "historic" health care law is so great for America, it's not good enough for him and his family.
In a sign of political battles to come, 14 US states filed lawsuits Tuesday challenging the constitutionality of health care reform just moments after President Barack Obama signed it into law.
While the calls into the office in the past week were “more nasty and rude” and laced with profanity than the office had ever received before, Karamargin said, they did not reach the level of threat that prompted any police involvement. Throughout all of the protests over the past several weeks as the health care proposal entered its final push, the office was often full of people — many vehemently opposed to the health care proposal — but this incident was the first involving any vandalism.

Russia's envoy to NATO has sharply criticized the alliance's shift away from fighting drug trafficking in Afghanistan, saying the resulting surge in heroin smuggling is endangering Russia's national security.
In an interview late Thursday, Dmitry Rogozin also highlighted the lack of cohesion within NATO, saying Moscow is worried about declining public support in Europe for the war.
"(Russia) is losing 30,000 lives a year to the Afghan drug trade, and a million people are addicts," Rogozin said. "This is an undeclared war against our country."

The commercial, which is entitled ‘H1N1 Vaccine Myths,’ features a group of office workers spewing ridiculous theories about the swine flu vaccine that have never been embraced by any vaccine skeptic, in an attempt to build a classic straw man and smear people who question the necessity for taking the shot as unstable lunatics.
The actors in the ad debate whether the H1N1 vaccine was “made from platypus milk,” or whether it “makes you susceptible to hypnotic suggestion.”
The clip ends by another actor in the ad stating, “It was made from secret alien technology found on the moon.”
“Some folks believe anything,” states an assertive female voice, “The swine flu vaccine is safe, effective, and you still need it, learn more at Kentucky’s flu website, that way you can separate the fact from the fiction.”
Unfortunately, Kentucky health authorities have completely failed to separate the fact from the fiction during the course of their 33 second ad, because they attribute outlandish theories about the vaccine to skeptics who have never even uttered such things.
While the advertisement frames suspicion about the vaccine in the context of tin-foil hat wearing madness, in reality the swine flu pandemic has been denounced as a gargantuan hoax not by demented paranoid psychotics, but by the head of the Council of Europe’s Sub-committee on Health, Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg, who as the chief of a major investigation into the H1N1 outbreak, labeled the case a “fake pandemic” manufactured by pharmaceutical companies in league with the WHO to make vast profits while endangering public health.
In a separate interview, Wodarg labeled the pandemic, “One of the greatest medical scandals of the century.”

A Danish scientist who was a key researcher in two studies that purport to show that mercury used in vaccines and the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine do not cause autism is believed to have used forged documents to steal $2 million from AarhusUniversity in Denmark according to reports in the Copenenhagen Post Online and a statement from AarhusUniversity.
Poul Thorsen, MD PhD, headed up a research unit at AarhusUniversity that was hired by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to prepare a series of studies that would exonerate thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative and adjuvant used in vaccines, and the MMR vaccine from any role in causing autism. The veracity of the three studies he co-authored is now in doubt.
These studies formed the foundation for the conclusions of several Institute of Medicine reports that claimed that it was highly unlikely that thimerosal or MMR were implicated in autism.
In a statement AarhusUniversity officials said that believe Poulsen forged documents supposedly from the CDC to obtain the release of $2 million from the University. Poulsen resigned abruptly in March 2009 and left Denmark.

But other EU member states, including Italy and Austria and anti-GM campaigners angrily attacked the move, claiming it could result in a health disaster. During the regulatory tussle over the potato, the EU's pharmaceutical regulator had expressed concern about its potential to interfere with the efficacy of antibiotics on infections that develop multiple resistance to other antibiotics, a growing problem in human and veterinary medicine. Drug resistance is part of the explanation for the resurgence of TB, which infects eight million people worldwide every year.

BANGALORE: Criticising Genetically Modified (GM) products could land you in jail — if the draconian draft Biotechnology Regulatory Authority Bill (BRAB) of 2009, which will be tabled in the current session of the parliament by the UPA government, is passed.
In an unprecedented muzzle on the right to freedom of speech of the citizen, Chapter 13 section 63 of the draft bill says, “Whoever, without any evidence or scientific record misleads the public about the safety of the organisms and products…shall be punished with imprisonment for a term that shall not be less than six months but which may extend to one year and with fine which may extend to two lakh rupees or with both.” The BRAI Bill drafted by the department of bio-technology under the Ministry of Science and Technology comes on the heels of a moratorium on Bt Brinjal announced by the Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh.
There are also other provisions in this bill which are disconcerting.
Article 27 (1) of the bill seeks to keep the information related to the research, approval and science of the GM Products out of the purview of the Right to Information ( RTI) Act.
In other words, farmers, NGO’s and Environmental groups that have been on the forefront of the campaign against BT Brinjal and other genetically modified crops, can longer obtain information about it.
(NaturalNews) A report published in the International Journal of Microbiology has verified once again that Monsanto's genetically modified (GM) crops are causing severe health problems. A legal challenge issued against Monsanto forced the multi-national agriculture giant to release raw data revealing that animals fed its patented GM corn suffered liver and kidney damage within just three months.
Dr. Gilles-Eric Seralini, a French researcher from the University of Caen, was tasked with examining the data and providing a review. While stopping short of declaring GM crops to be toxic, he did emphasize that chronic negative effects were apparent and that there were "statistically significant" indications of kidney and liver damage.
The specific effects observed in test rats included a buildup of hormones in the blood, indicating that their liver and kidneys were not functioning properly. One variety of the corn led to elevated blood sugar levels and increased triglyceride levels in female rats given it.
Dr. Seralini concluded that, because GM crops are foreign substances that have never been a part of a normal diet, there is no telling what the long-term effects of consumption will be on people. In animals, significant disruption of normal bodily function has been observed even in the short term.
WASHINGTON — The House Foreign Affairs Committee voted narrowly on Thursday to condemn as genocide the mass killings of Armenians early in the last century, defying a last-minute plea from the Obama administration to forgo a vote that seemed sure to offend Turkey and jeopardize delicate efforts at Turkish-Armenian reconciliation.
The vote on the nonbinding resolution, a perennial point of friction addressing a dark, century-old chapter of Turkish history, was 23 to 22.
