Ooopsie. Was he supposed to let that cat out of the bag, you know, especially since he’s Bush’s 3rd term and Bush has run on the “fact” that Osama is still out there….(America’s Boogeyman, oh the horrors! Que the CIA tape with the old picture of Osama with the voice over please! Cut. And action!)….to keep American’s in fear?
So now what the hell is McCrazy going to use now when he wants to scare Americans into voting for him after he tells us he’s the only guy who can save us from the Big Bad Osama? Ooopsie. Que the Brain Enhancer Pills!
It’s nice to know that McCrazy has now admitted war crimes have been committed since
That would be nice. I wonder what else McCrazy knows?

Therefore, since Bush did NOT in fact have proof of the required conditions to activate the Congressional Authorization for the use of force, the authorization is not legally in effect.
Therefore, the war is illegal.
So much for "To Protect And To Serve!"
A former top State Department aide to Colin Powell said today that President Bush and Vice President Cheney are more deserving of impeachment than was Bill Clinton.
Lawrence Wilkerson, who was chief of staff to then-Secretary of State Colin Powell, said on the public radio program On Point Thursday that "Bill Clinton's peccadilloes ... pale in significance" when compared to the "high crimes and misdemeanors" of Bush and Cheney.
Unfortunately, this congress will not impeach Bush and/or Cheney, because the whole unravelling, from stolen elections, through 9/11 and the wars against
Consider this: we know that Saddam got into trouble because he switched to euros. However, Saddam also got into trouble because one moment he would cut oil production to support the Palestinians, and the next moment he would pump the maximum allowed. Saddam was messing with the oil companies’ plan to hold down production and ratchet up oil prices. Even OPEC did not like this, since up and down movements in prices destabilize the oil industry. Greg Palast’s Armed Madhouse says a Council on Foreign Relations report concludes: Saddam is a "destabilizing influence to the flow of oil to international markets from the

The "wet op" that was pulled off in Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963 may not have been orchestrated by the CIA proper but rather was put together by several CIA veterans and contract players-for-fire in a "non-sanctioned" hit originally "suggested" by then Vice-President Lyndon B. Johnson. One of the many purposes of this tape, according to E. Howard Hunt, was to make clear of LBJ's involvement in the assassination.
And for all these years, the mainstream media marched in lock-step to sell you the "Magic bullet" lemon.
For all those years, they lied to you.
This is Robert Gaylon Ross interview with Lyndon Johnson’s mistress, Madeleine Duncan Brown. She claims that LBJ told her that he had John F. Kennedy killed.
The JFK Records Act of 1992, approved unanimously by Congress, mandated that all assassination-related records be reviewed and disclosed 'immediately.' When Morley filed his lawsuit in December 2003, thirteen published JFK authors supported his request for the records in an open letter to The New York Review of Books (www.nybooks.com/articles/16865). Eighteen months later, the CIA is still stonewalling. The agency now acknowledges that it possesses an undisclosed number of documents...which it will not release in any form. Thus records related to Kennedy's assassination are still being hidden for reasons of 'national security.'
Why are they being hidden, if JFK was really killed by a "crazed lone nut assassin?" The continued withholding of these records is itself proof that We The People have not been told the truth about the death of a President ... which means we have probably not been told the truth about pretty much ANYTHING
it's refreshing to see that Willis, who was vehemently pro-war and pro-Bush in the months after 9/11, has seen the light and realized that patriotism is about love of one's country, not worship of government.
Actually, most of the direct players are already dead, but there is no question that the JFK/RFK/MLK assassinations changed the course of the nation and that we are still feeling the effects today.
The ‘American Century’ only began 60 years ago. But it seems already to be over, with the disaster of Iraq forcing some of the United States’ ruling elites to realise that its hegemony has been severely weakened. But nobody seems to know what to do next, or even how to behave.
A man who was beaten by employees of a store he was trying to rob is now suing.
This shows just how sick our legal system has become.
Sooooooooo, torturing Iraqis is cool, but missing the kitty's veterinary appointment will have the cops on your ass, right?
Nice set of national priorities ya got there.
The Secret Service is preparing to provide Vice President Cheney with agents, transportation, advance work and other security-related trappings of executive power for six months after the Bush administration packs up and moves out in January, the agency's director, Mark Sullivan, told Congress last week. The expected cost: $4 million
What does Cheney think justifies his being so terrified about as a result of his vice-presidency for these past (almost) 8 years that he needs secret service protection for 6 months after he leaves office?
I've got a terrific idea: let him hire Blackwater security out of his own pocket, and let's use that 4 million to help our wounded vets to upgrade the medical and psychological help they need to get their health in better shape.
Okay, so what is about to happen that Goss does not want to be around for?
The CIA has come in for harsh criticism in recent years, not only for questionable prewar intelligence on Iraq but also in connection with the failure of it and a host of other federal agencies to coordinate information closely in connection with the terrorist threat.
You have to wonder what he knows that caused him to leave right at this moment.
The Border Patrol also noted that "President Bush is doing back flips to assure the hypocritical El Presidente Fox that America will not 'militarize' the border."
"We didn't realize that Fox was running things here. Is the Mexican government paying for any of this? Of course not. Further, Fox has already "militarized" the border. Mexico has plenty of troops on the border. We know this because we see them all the time and they shoot at us with rather large .50 caliber rifles. All we can do is hope their aim is bad, run from them, and then watch as the cowards from our government hide from the issue, and their government lies about them even being there.
If Mexican men in uniform are shooting at US men in uniform, regardless of the caliber of weapon, THAT is an act of war!
This feels like a setup for a staged terror attack in the US.
James Petras is Professor Emeritus of Sociology at Binghamton University, New York. He's a noted academic figure on the US Left and a well-respected Latin American expert and longtime chronicler of the region's popular struggles. He's also an advisor to the landless workers in Brazil and the unemployed workers movement in Argentina. Along the way, he managed to find time to write many hundreds of articles and 62 books published in 29 languages including his latest one in which he discusses another vital world region he has extensive knowledge of and has written frequently about - the Middle East and specifically the state of Israel and its relations with its neighbors, the Palestinians and, most importantly and the subject of this book, the US.
Congress approved the new bomb, known as the reliable replacement warhead, with bipartisan support in 2005 as part of a defense spending bill. The weapon would, by law, have the same explosive power as existing warheads

Imagine waking up and realizing you are the BAD GUY, that you are the INVADER, and that you have been killing people over a lie.
Could you hold onto your sanity?
And if that doesn't freak you out, consider that most of these soldiers will come home to careers in law enforcement.
As the dollar starts to slide (see next) Bush and co look for a scapegoat to blame the crash on.
How strange to have a government so opposed to abortion, yet so ready to turn its back on babies once they are born.
The vote stealing will be too large to hide, so Bush looks for a scapegoat to frame it all on.
If true, then oil is NOT the major reason for invading Israel's enemies in the Mideast.
THE intercepted top-secret fax contained information that Amer ica never wanted the world to know – that the US was holding war-on-terror captives at clandestine “black site” prisons in eastern Europe.
The discovery of the fax seriously undermines the US’s denial that it has ever used secret detention facilities, breaching international law. It also adds to the pressure for the release of information on “extraordinary renditions”. These rendition flights see kidnapped terror suspects taken by the CIA to countries where torture is common, such as Uzbekistan. British intelligence has supported this practice and UK airports, particulary Prestwick, have given CIA jets logistical support.
But hey, we oursource torture, so no American really gets their hands dirty, right?
Think about it:torture, the new American value, right up there with Mom and apple pie.

A school safety drill that included police officers in riot gear with weapons has caused concern among some parents who say it was too realistic and frightened some students.
That was the whole point; to condition children to fear those uniforms at an early age.
The Congress and the President have in effect sold YOUR children to Israel, bartered them for use as hired killers for Israel's wars, in exchange for campaign money and political favors in the media.
Is that not slavery of the worst sort?
The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) said Friday it was postponing the test - which entails detonation of 700 tons of explosives - so it can reassess the potential for radioactive contaminants left in the ground from earlier nuclear tests becoming airborne.
Actually, the real issue is that the "test" of 700 tonnes of explosives is designed to sell the idea that the US has a conventional bomb of .7 kiloton power, but in truth, there is no bomber on Earth that can lift more than 35 tons, so this "test" is a mask for the use of tactical nuclear weapons in future wars.
Well, that's the new American 'justice' for you; and with the passage of the Military Commissions Act, this applies not only to so-called 'enemy combattants' but also to every US citizen in this country.
Department of Veterans Affairs doctors are furious over a recent decision by the Pentagon to block their access to medical information needed to treat severely injured troops arriving at VA hospitals from Iraq and Afghanistan.
What is it that the Pentagon doesn't want these doctors to know, to the point where these wounded vets become "expendable" rather than have the truth be told?
