New allegations of voting irregularities come to light in Toronto: CBC

Alleged voting irregularities in the 2011 federal election have taken a new twist with accusations that hundreds of unregistered voters cast ballots in the Eglinton-Lawrence riding, according to CBC.

The Conservative Party has been dogged for weeks now with allegations that it was behind so-called robo-calls and other dirty tricks that critics says swung the results in its favour.

Election Fraud in Canada!

Last election, voters in as many as 45 ridings received misleading and fraudulent phone calls telling us to go to fake polling stations. New media reports show that this orchestrated attack on our democracy might have worked -- flipping seats to benefit the Conservative party and giving them a majority in Parliament. Elections Canada and the RCMP are, thus far, limiting their investigation to one riding and the members of one political party -- if we raise a massive public outcry they will be forced to expand their investigation to third parties and to dig into fraud across the country.

CSIS says surprise visits to people at work a ‘legitimate strategy’

http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/politics/article/1140846--csis-says-surprise-visits-to-people-at-work-a-legitimate-strategy?bn=1

Canada’s spy agency considers surprise workplace visits to be a “legitimate investigative strategy” despite persistent public concerns about the practice, a newly disclosed policy memo says.

The memo surfaced recently further to a complaint lodged by an Ottawa woman who took exception to being visited by Canadian Security Intelligence Service officers at her office.

The previously secret document shows that CSIS makes it a point to suddenly turn up at people’s offices in order to intimidate them, said Paul Champ, the woman’s lawyer.

This is one of those lessons I told you Canadians you needed to learn from the US' mistake. The more your government sucks up to Israel, the more they will behave like Israel! This Ottawa woman just learned what it is like to be a Palestinian!

CSIS: Canada's #1 Terror Suspect + Stupid Food Laws + Pharmaceuticals & Health

Canada's spy agency CSIS is using a tactic of surprise workplace visits to intimidate people under investigation to get them to just say whatever CSIS to leave and stop embarrassing them in front of their co-workers. This is just another variation on the intimidation and terrorism of governments and its a perfect example of when I warned the Canadians to please learn from the mistakes the United States made when it started snuggling up to Israel because the more our government gets in bed with Israel the more the government acts like Israel and now we're all being treated like Palestinians

At Chicago Speech, Holder Will Detail Rationale for Assassinating Americans Without Charges

US Attorney General Eric Holder is prepared to deliver a major policy speech at Northwestern University on Monday afternoon, explaining for the first time his Justice Department’s rationale related to the President’s putative power to order the assassination of American citizens without judicial oversight.

The explanation has long been speculated at by legal experts and civil rights activists, as the Obama Administration is known to have a “kill list” and has assassinated multiple American citizens inside Yemen without providing any charges against them beforehand.

Holder: Targeted Killings Of US Citizens ‘Not Assassination’

Attorney General Eric Holder defends targeted killings of U.S. citizens saying its perfectly legal as long as ambiguous conditions are met.

Obama administration to offer legal justification for targeted killings of Americans

The Obama administration on Monday plans to outline how U.S. laws empower the government to kill Americans overseas who engage in terrorism against their home country, a source familiar with the matter said, months after a drone strike killed a U.S.-born cleric who plotted attacks from Yemen.

Civil liberties groups have been pressuring the administration to offer justification for what has been described as a top-secret “targeted kill” program in which Americans who have joined al Qaeda or other militants are deemed legitimate targets to be killed overseas.

Years ago, when the US actually was a Constitutional Republic, we had a way of dealing with American-born "bad guys"; it was called "due process" through a trial by jury in a court of law, where evidence was presented by both the defendant's attorney, and the prosecutor's attorney, and the person's guilt or innocence was deliberated, then voted upon, by a jury.

We are now, unfortunately, looking at a post-Constitutional United States, where the Federal government can kill anyone it dislikes with impunity, thanks to the capabilities of murder by drone, which has put this country on a slippery slope, morally and judicially.

No matter how bad the person, extrajudicial assassination, which is precisely what we are talking about here, should have no place in American jurisprudence, period, end of discussion.

Holder Says Secret Executive Branch Reviews of Evidence for ‘Targeted Killings’ Count as Due Process

Attorney General Eric Holder has become such a farcical character with the Fast and Furious scandal (which he has been busted lying to Congress about), his attempt at debating the definition of lying with Representative James Sensenbrenner, and now his claim that the executive branch’s secret review process of the evidence against alleged terrorists counts as due process.

In his speech Monday at Northwestern University Law School in Chicago, Illinois, Holder actually argued that the process surrounding the approval of so-called “targeted killings” (which are, in fact, assassinations) meets the constitutional requirement for “due process” and that American citizenship does not protect anyone from being murdered by the government of the United States.

Police Drone Crashes into Police

This would be a fine one-off blooper story if it weren't for some upsetting implications. This is exactly why we have reason to raise multiple eyebrows at Congress, which wants to allow hundreds of similar drones to fly over US airspace. These drones are still a relatively young technology, relatively unproven, and relatively crash-prone. The odds of being hit by one are low, of course, but should a Texas-style UAV plummet ever happen in, say, a dense urban area, nobody would be laughing. Not all of us are driving around in Bearcats.

Obama Set To Sign "Trespassing Bill" Ending Freedom Of Speech In America

Obama signs anti-protest Trespass Bill

Only days after clearing Congress, US President Barack Obama signed his name to H.R. 347 on Thursday, officially making it a federal offense to cause a disturbance at certain political events — essentially criminalizing protest in the States.

RT broke the news last month that H.R. 347, the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011, had overwhelmingly passed the US House of Representatives after only three lawmakers voted against it. On Thursday this week, President Obama inked his name to the legislation and authorized the government to start enforcing a law that has many Americans concerned over how the bill could bury the rights to assemble and protest as guaranteed in the US Constitution.

We now live in a third world, post-Constitutional, country;
welcome to Ameristan, courtesy of the last two administrations.

And the mother of all ironies here, is that Obama used to be a lecturer in Constitutional law at the University of Chicago!

Little did I appreciate how much absolute hatred and loathing he had for the Constitution and Bill of Rights until he took office as President, but he has made that reality painfully and abundantly clear.

Gareth Porter: Delhi Bombing Was Not An Iranian Revenge Operation, But An Israeli False Flag Operation

Listen to Gareth Porter's interview with Scott Horton of AntiWar.com Radio. And read Porter's article, "Who Was Behind the Delhi Bombing?"

Gareth Porter gives four clues that the bombers had no intentions of injuring or killing the passengers of the Israeli diplomatic car, but merely to cause an international ruckus to serve as war propaganda against Iran and try to split India and Iran, who have strong economic ties. The four clues:

The size of the bomb was very small, around 200 grams. In real terrorist bombings, the bombs pack a huge punch and are made to kill victims. This bomb was not like that.
There was no shrapnel in the bomb. Usually, there are nails or glass to pierce the body of the victims and amplify the damage of the blast.

US to Attempt Overthrow of Putin Government

As predicted - the Western media and US State Department-funded "opposition" inside Russia have called Vladimir Putin's landslide victory a "fraud." It was stated on Thursday March 1, that the Western media had "already determined how Russia's elections will unfold, creating the pretext in the minds of impressionable viewers to justify the unrest the US is undoubtedly planning."

US and Israeli officials hate Putin because he will not "play along" with their planned regime change in places like Syria and Iran.

Vladimir Putin back as President: Why It Matters

Vladimir Putin is heading back to the Kremlin — but for the last four years it often felt like he'd never left. As Prime Minister, he remained Russia's dominant political figure, his drive, sharp tongue and cocky bearing overshadowing his affable but mostly feckless successor Dmitry Medvedev.

Yet although he was still effectively Russia's leader, his return to the presidency is more significant than simply switching titles for several reasons.

WikiLeaks Email: Bin Laden’s Corpse Not Dumped at Sea

Easy for Wikileaks to claim since it wasn't Bin Laden to start with!

Osama not buried at sea, instead the body went to Dover.

http://rt.com/news/osama-body-wikileaks-stratfor-949/

The body of Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden was not buried at sea, according to leaked emails of intelligence firm Stratfor, as revealed by WikiLeaks.

Stratfor’s vice-president for intelligence, Fred Burton, believes the body was “bound for Dover, [Delaware] on [a] CIA plane” and then “onward to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Bethesda [Maryland],” an email says.

The official version is that the body of Al-Qaeda’s top man, who was killed by a US raid in Pakistan on May 2, 2011, was buried at an undisclosed location at sea in a proper Muslim ceremony.

FBI ADMITS IN OPEN COURT THAT IT ASSISTED UNDOCUMENTED MOROCCAN ATTEMPTING TO BLOW UP U.S. CAPITOL

Flashback : 1 in 4 Hackers FBI Informants

According to an investigation done by the Guardian they estimate one in four hackers is now working with the FBI and secretly informing on their peers. So how much of this is truth? John Young editor of the document-leaking site Cryptome.org weighs in.

LulzSec Leader Betrays All of Anonymous

According to the FBI, you're looking at Sabu, the head of LulzSec, and the de facto King of Anonymous—easily the most notorious and influential hacker alive today. One thing: he just turned in his people to the police.

Anonymous was suspect when they supported Assange, and both Anonymous and LulzSec conducted hacking attacks that the media used to justify more government control of the internet. They never felt genuine to me. And I am still of the opinion that the BitCoin mining operation is actually a distributed public-key breaker.

War on terror justifies killing U.S. citizens, Holder says

"In this hour of danger, we simply cannot afford to wait until deadly plans are carried out," Holder said. "And we will not."

This is a continuation of the pre-emptive principle carried to a personal level. The President believes this or that person is a threat, so that person and anybody standing near them are blown to bloody bits in a huge explosion. The problem is that the President believed (or simply lied) that Iraq had nuclear weapons so lots of Iraqis were blown to bloody bits in huge explosions. The whole point of trial by jury is the recognition that governments make mistakes, screw up, get the wrong person, or are simply dropping the guilt for their own malfeasance into a convenient patsy and need to get rid of the patsy. There is no legal justification for murdering people, American or otherwise, in foreign countries. For one thing, committing a murder inside another country is a violation of their national sovereignty and could be viewed as an outright act of war. Holder's arguments are about as UN-American as you can get, and signal a government at the stage of panic to prevent its own collapse from internal rot and corruption.

Researchers find MYSTERY programming language in Duqu Trojan

Duqu is a sophisticated Trojan reckoned to have been created by the same group behind the infamous Stuxnet worm. While the finely tuned Stuxnet worm was designed to home in on specific industrial control systems – namely systems controlling high-speed centrifuges used by Iran's controversial nuclear enrichment plants – Duqu was created to fulfil the slightly different role of a backdoor where intruders could slip into SCADA-based systems and nick confidential information.

...

Having gone as probably as far as they can, Kaspersky Lab is appealing to the programming community for support in analysing the mystery language used to build the malware.

New evidence casts doubt in Lockerbie case

Fresh scientific evidence unearthed by a Scottish legal review undermines the case against the man convicted of being responsible for the Lockerbie aircraft bombing, an investigation for Al Jazeera has found.

The Scottish Criminal Case Review Commission (SCCRC) report details evidence that would probably have resulted in the verdict against Abdel Baset al-Meghrahi, a Libyan man convicted of carrying out the bombing of Pan-Am flight 103 in 1988, being overturned.

'Lockerbie: Case Closed', an hour-long documentary to be aired on Al Jazeera on Monday, examines the evidence uncovered by the SCCRC as well as revealing fresh scientific evidence which is unknown to the commission but which comprehensively undermines a crucial part of the case against the man known as the Lockerbie bomber.

Israel to sell $1.6 billion in arms to Iran's neighbor Azerbaijan

For Israeli intelligence, there is also a possible added benefit from Azerbaijan: Its significant cross-border contacts and trade with Iran's large ethnic Azeri community. The CIA World Factbook estimates Iranian Azeris make up nearly 16 million, or 24 percent of Iran's population.

IOF attacks kill 12 Palestinians, wound 21

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a series of air raids on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours killing 12 Palestinians and wounding 21 others.

The IOF warplanes bombed a civilian car in Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza at dawn Saturday killing a 26-yerar-old man and injuring four others.

Medical sources earlier said that Ahmed Hajjaj died of his wounds suffered in Friday’s raids.

The PIC reporter said that IOF warplanes blasted a house in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, in a pre-dawn raid that killed two members of the Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad movement.

He said that the warplanes fired a missile at a house north of Gaza city wounding four people including a child.

Netanyahu is throwing a tantrum that he can’t get the US to kill Iranians for him, so he takes it out on the Gazans.

Toll from Israel Gaza strikes now 14 militants

The worst violence between Israel and the Gaza Strip in nearly a year entered its second day on Saturday, as Israeli aircraft killed 14 militants,

according to Palestinian health officials. Militants responded by firing nearly 100 rockets, seriously wounding an Israeli civilian.

The airstrikes and rocket attacks could drag the volatile area into broader conflict especially if a large number of civilians are killed on either side.

Over 140 Killed, Mostly Soldiers, as Fighting Continues in South Yemen

Violence is continuing to soar in the Abyan Province of southern Yemen today, with the two day toll of a battle over a Yemeni government military base now over 140 dead, with at least 110 of them soldiers loyal to new Yemeni ruler Major General Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

The fighting began yesterday when forces initially termed by the military as “al-Qaeda” but now revealed to have been from the Ansar al-Sharia faction attacked a military base outside of provincial capital Zinjibar.

Pentagon officials today confirmed that a “security team” of US forces came under attack from Ansar al-Sharia loyalists in the southern Yemeni city of Aden, but denied any injuries as a result of the attack. Ansar al-Sharia claimed one “CIA officer” killed in the exchange. The difference in versions from the two sides actually misses the much more serious revelation of the report, that US ground troops are operating inside Yemen at all.

And let's face it, folks: the only reason the US is in Yemen right now is to prevent any destabilization of its neighbor, Saudi Arabia, on whose oil the West will have to depend heavily if war with Iran takes Iranian oil off the market.

U.S. drones raid al-Qaida hideouts in southeast Yemen, 20 killed

U.S. drones raided several hideouts of the Yemen-based al-Qaida wing in the southeast restive province of al-Bayda on Friday night, killing at least 20 al-Qaida militants, a local security official told Xinhua.

US drone strike kills 13 suspected militants in Pak

At least 13 suspected militants were on Friday killed after a United States drone targeted a house and a vehicle in the restive South Waziristan tribal region of Pakistan, officials said.

Wikileaks: UK attacked Libya for British Petroleum

A Stratfor email from March 19, 2011 discusses a “closed door meeting” with a “few US, one UK and one French Air Force Colonels”.

This leaked internal communication reveals some of the thinking behind the 2011 operation in Libya. Sadly, but not surprisingly, none of the reasons mentioned by the American, French or British Colonels seemed to be about saving lives, toppling Ghadafi or helping the rebels. Instead, the morbid highlights included:

The UK attacked to help BP

“The UK guy says UK is driven by energy interests in this campaign. BP
post-oil spill is suffering in US< other options are to expand in
Siberia (problems with Russia), Vietnam and .. libya. They see a
Ghadafi ouster as the best way to meet their energy interests."

Eastern Libya declares semiautonomous region

Thousands of major tribal leaders, militia commanders and politicians made the declaration Tuesday in a ceremony held in the eastern city of Benghazi.

Libya's National Transitional Council, the interim central government, has repeatedly voiced its opposition to the creation of an eastern region, warning it could eventually lead to the breakup of the North African nation.

This balkanization of Libya is precisely what Western powers wanted to have happen.

Afghan child hunger among worst in world: report

Children in Afghanistan suffer one of the highest levels of chronic malnutrition in the world, a report said Monday, despite billions of dollars in aid that have poured into the war-torn country.

More than half of Afghan children under the age of five are chronically malnourished, according to the joint report by the World Bank and the government.

Child Hunger in Afghanistan Among Worst in the World

Thanks to the ruthless decade-long war, children in Afghanistan suffer one of the highest levels of chronic malnutrition in the world, according to a report released Monday by the World Bank and the government.

Starvation of children is only one measure of the savage, unnecessary U.S. war in Afghanistan. Last month, Amnesty International found that an average of four hundred people are displaced in every day in Afghanistan, bringing the total displaced population to approximately 500,000.

Tens of thousands demand democracy in huge Bahrain protest

Majority Shiites were in the forefront of the protest movement which erupted in February 2011 after uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia. The Shiia population makes up about 70 percent of the country's 525,000 citizens.

The ruling Sunni Muslim Al Khalifa family crushed the protests a month later, imposing martial law and bringing in Saudi and United Arab Emirates troops to help restore order. It accused the Shiite power Iran of fomenting the unrest.

Undersea Internet Cables Cut AGAIN!

A series of bizarre coincidences has left several African countries experiencing significantly reduced Internet traffic.

The Register reported 28 February that an undersea cable was cut off the coast of Kenya on 25 February, severely reducing Internet traffic along the Eastern side of the African continent.

The East African Marine Systems (TEAMS) cable pipes Internet and telecommunications from its landing points in Fujairah in the UAE to Mombasa, Kenya.

$1B of TSA Nude Body Scanners Made Worthless By Blog — How Anyone Can Get Anything Past The Scanners

This video is here to demonstrate that the TSA’s insistence that the nude body scanner program is effective and necessary is nothing but a fraud, just like their claims that the program is safe (radiation what?) and non-invasive (nude pictures who?). The scanners are now effectively worthless, as anyone can beat them with virtually no effort. The TSA has been provided this video in advance of it being made public to give them an opportunity to turn off the scanners and revert to the metal detectors. I personally believe they now have no choice but to turn them off.

Drugmakers have paid $8 billion in fraud fines

Pfizer's 2009 settlement was for improperly promoting the use of drugs for purposes other than those for which they were approved by the government. Merck's 2008 settlement involved claims the company paid illegal kickbacks to health care providers in exchange for prescribing its drugs.
Government investigators say their hands are tied with the tools they have. They can exclude Pfizer and other pharmaceutical companies from providing medications to Medicaid and Medicare beneficiaries as punishment for bad behavior, but that would leave beneficiaries without drugs patented through a particular company.

Cancer Warning: Coke And Pepsi Change Recipe

"While we believe that there is no public health risk that justifies any such change, we did ask our caramel suppliers to take this step so that our products would not be subject to the requirement of a scientifically unfounded warning."

Diana Garza-Ciarlante, from Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola and Pepsi are changing the recipes for their soft drinks to avoid being forced by law to put a cancer warning on the label.

The caramel colouring in the drinks will contain lower levels of 4-methylimidazole, which has been added to the list of carcinogens in California law.

Coca-Cola's recipe is being changed across the US - but will not be changed in Britain or the rest of Europe.

Please note the fact that high levels of 4-methylimidazole were not reduced by these companies in their products until they were forced to do this.

With so many chemicals in food these days, we really have to be as careful about what we are putting into our bodies. If you can't pronounce it, don't eat or drink it!!

Taiwan plans to lift ban on most drug-treated U.S. beef

Taiwan said it plans to lift a ban on most US beef containing a controversial growth drug in an apparent bid to facilitate trade talks with Washington, triggering a protest from opponents.

The plan, pending parliament’s approval, will allow import of beef treated with ractopamine, a feed additive used to promote leanness in animals raised for meat, a cabinet statement said.

The FDA, in permitting this to be used in feed here in the US, has utterly abandoned all pretense about actually caring for the health of American Citizens.

WARNING: The active ingredient in Topmax, ractopamine hydrochloride, is a beta-adrenergic agonist. Individuals with cardiovascular disease should exercise special caution to avoid exposure. Not for use in humans. Keep out of the reach of children. The Topmax 9 formulation (Type A Medicated Article) poses a low dust potential under usual conditions of handling and mixing. When mixing and handling Topmax, use protective clothing, impervious gloves, protective eye wear, and a NIOSH-approved dust mask. Operators should wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. If accidental eye contact occurs, immediately rinse eyes thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. The material safety data sheet contains more detailed occupational safety information.

Monsanto’s Roundup Shown to be Ravaging Butterfly Population

Mike Barrett
Activist Post

Monsanto’s Roundup, containing the active ingredient glyphosate, has been tied to more health and environmental problems than you could imagine. Similar to how pesticides have been contributing to the bee decline, Monsanto’s Roundup has been tied to the decrease in the population of monarch butterflies by killing the very plants that the butterflies rely on for habitat and food.

What’s been shown to be an even greater threat to the population, though, is Monsanto’s Roundup Ready corn and soybeans...

Did BP Cause Damage to the Gulf Sea Floor? Ever-Larger “Natural” Oil Seeps from the Giant Macondo Reservoir

In June of 2010, BP officials admitted to damage beneath the seafloor under BP’s Gulf Macondo well.

Numerous scientists have speculated that the blowout and subsequent clumsy attempts by BP to plug the well could have created new seeps, and made pre-existing natural seeps bigger.

We have repeatedly noted that the Macondo oil reservoir may still be leaking.

OF course, in this election year, you will see absolutely zero pressure from the Obama administration to get BP to actually do the real remediation this problem so desperately needs, because his campaign needs the cash from BP for re-election.

Revealed: How America's secret space plane has been in orbit for over a year - and no one knows what it's doing

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2112146/Mystery-U-S-X-37B-space-plane-orbit-year.html

The U.S Air Force’s highly secret unmanned space plane was supposed to stay in space for nine months, but it’s now been there for a year and three days – and no one knows what it’s doing.

The experimental craft has been circling Earth at 17,000 miles per hour and was due to land in California in December.

However the mission of the X-37B orbital test vehicle was extended – for unknown reasons.

Iran:

U.S. Officials Believe Netanyahu Has Already Decided to Strike Iran

Channel 2 in Israel, sourcing a “senior American official”, says that the decision has already been made by the Israeli government to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Let us recall that Israel attacked Iraq's nuclear power station at Orisak in 1961, even though again there was no evidence of a weapons program and more to the point, the reactor design was incapable of making weapons materials. And following the invasion of 2003, IAEA inspectors examined the remains of the Osirak power station and confirmed that there had never been any nuclear weapons facility underneath it, as Israel has underneath Dimona. As a side note, the 2003 invasion of Iraq was based on more claims by Israel of an Iraqi clandestine nuclear weapons program. Again, the claims were false.

So here we are again once more with Israel screaming about the Iranian nuclear threat, and having been batting zero up until how why is anyone even bothering to listen to those habitual liars?

But Israel has decided to bomb Iran's civilian power station based on nothing more than their paranoid delusion. This is, of course, an act of war, and Iran will be morally justified in launching an immediate counter-attack. Israel is not worried about an Iranian counter-attack because their plan is to pile up lots and lots of American kids as bullet-stoppers to protect their precious Israeli soldiers and despite being clearly in the wrong, the US Government seems to be perfectly happy to provide said American children bullet stoppers in exchange for some generous donations to their re-election campaigns.

There is a word for this plan by the US Government to take your children and sell their services to a foreign owner, and that word is "slavery."

So, it is clear that the US government is unable and unwilling to stand up to Israel lust for conquest (as long as someone else' kids bleed for it). Fine. Let Israel attack Iran by themselves and let Israel deal with the consequences by themselves. And on the day the US Government demands we send our children to defend Israel from Iran's righteous wrath, that should be the day we fire this government, and replace it with one that will value our children's lives more highly than those of Israel.

U.S. May Attack Iran with New ‘Great Weapon’ – Pentagon Official

The United States may use a new 13,600-kilogram bunker-buster bomb against Iran, DefenseNews.com reported on Thursday quoting U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Herbert Carlisle as saying.

Speaking at the conference on the U.S. defense programs, Carlisle said that the bomb was "a great weapon," specially designed to attack countries like Iran which have their nuclear facilities buried underground.

According to Carlisle, the 13,600-kilogram weapon is able to smash through a 200-feet (65 meters) concrete bunker.

(Ahem) what happens if these Iranian facilities are buried more than 200 feet underground?!?!?

Such a military campaign, should the US government and military decide to start it, may not go well for the US at all.

If such an attack is not a blitzkrieg, executed to absolute perfection, and sustains, this is going to be a real problem. And the reasons should be painfully obvious; the US government doesn't have the troop strength, the money, or the manufacturing to sustain a long war at all.

Added to that is the reality that leadership members of Russia, China, and Pakistan have all publicly stated that should Iran be attacked, they will come to Iran's aid militarily. So what we have here is the scenario of a global thermonuclear war, fought over an alleged Iranian nuclear program which cannot, to date, be proven to exist.

WW3: Israel's War for Jew Bankers (Excellent show)

There is never really just one reason to go to war there's a lot of overlapping agendas. We know from the US governments point of view they need a major war to distract from the already ongoing wars and the economic disaster which as we understand is about to get a lot worse so they need a war to basically get away from that and that is the historical pattern. - Rivero

AP: Iran may have cleaned up nuke work

Satellite images of an Iranian military facility appear to show trucks and earth-moving vehicles at the site, indicating an attempted cleanup of radioactive traces possibly left by tests of a nuclear-weapon trigger, diplomats told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

In other words, the new propaganda is that the total absence of any evidence of nuclear weapons ... is now evidence of nuclear weapons.

Did we not learn anything from the lies about Iraq's nuclear weapons?

Are you not insulted that the same people who lied to you about Iraq's nuclear weapons think you are dumb enough to fall for those same lies a second time?

Panetta: International Mandate Trumps Congressional Authorization for Wars

It perhaps goes without saying that the Obama Administration considers Congress all but irrelevant to the question of its foreign policy, but speaking today at a House hearing, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said it anyway.

So, if the President gets a bunch of other countries (who may not even have their own children in the fight) to agree to a war, then Panetta says the war can go on, regardless of Congress.

Panetta: US attack on Iran would be more effective

United States Defense Secretary Leon Panetta addressed the possibility of a strike against Iran, clarifying Thursday that the US has better attack capabilities than Israel's.

In an interview with the National Journal Panetta discussed what were to happen if Israel carries out an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. “If they decided to do it there’s no question that it would have an impact, but I think it’s also clear that if the United States did it we would have a hell of a bigger impact,” Panetta stated.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu set a general timetable for a possible strike on Iran Thursday evening, for the first time.

Netanyahu said that Israel has not yet made a decision on whether to attack the Iranian nuclear sites. He added that the timing of such a strike "is not a matter of days or weeks," but on the other hand, "it is not a matter of years."

Netanyahu and his military will engineer such an attack against Iran at the worst possible time for the Obama campaign.

And while I am no supporter of Obama, as those who read this blog appreciate, such an action will probably necessitate the US military getting the Israeli's military out of harm's way.

Unless this strike is executed with blitzkrieg precision, an extended war against Iran may not go well at all for the following reasons:

1. The US doesn't have the troop strength, the money, or the manufacturing to ensure a successful outcome of such an attack, as we did going into World War 2.

2. Leadership members in Russia, China, and Pakistan, all nuclear-armed countries, have publicly stated that should Iran be attacked, they will go to Iran's aid militarily.

3. So what we have here is the potential for a global thermonuclear war over an alleged Iranian weapons program which cannot, to date, be proven to exist!!

US offered Israel advanced weaponry in exchange for delaying Iran attack: report

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/international/attack_offered_israel_advanced_weaponry_vJzadL8Qw5XoQ7akSRO9yK

The US offered to give Israel advanced weaponry -- including bunker-busting bombs and refueling planes -- in exchange for Israel's agreement not to attack Iranian nuclear sites, Israeli newspaper Maariv reported Thursday.

So, at a time when Americans are starving in the streets, the US Government uses YOUR money to bribe one country on the other side of the world from attacking another country on the other side of the world.

IAEA Begins to Confirm Israel’s View of Iran Nuclear Ambitions

The United Nations IAEA nuclear agency, years after Israel warned not to trust Iran’s “peaceful ambitions,” now is “concerned” at a sharp increase in uranium enrichment and the possibility its scientists are hiding work for an atom bomb.

International Atomic Energy Agency chief Yukiya Amano, speaking to the IAEA board, said that a tripling on the enrichment of uranium at Iran’s underground Fordo nuclear site, along with Iran’s rejection of IAEA attempts to inspect nuclear facilities, point to concern that the Islamic Republic might be developing nuclear capability for other than peaceful purposes.

The timing of his remarks could not be more appropriate for Israel, with President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu visiting President Barack Obama.

This is all smoke and mirrors, attempting to create a scenario for Iran actually creating nuclear weapons right now, when none can be proven to exist.

But if that was happening, nuclear material would have to be found missing from its energy program, and to date,
that has not happened.

And for those who don't know, the enrichment of uranium to 20% is for the creation of medical isotopes; this is about helping people heal, not blowing people up!!

Netanyahu to Obama: Israel ‘reserves the right’ to strike

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told President Obama that Israel would decide for itself whether to strike Iran.

“My supreme responsibility as prime minister of Israel is to ensure that Israel remains the master of its fate,” Netanyahu told Obama.
In a sit-down earlier today with the president in the Oval Office, Netanyahu pushed back against the administration’s repeated attempts to dissuade Israel from attacking Iran.

“Israel must reserve the right to defend itself and after all, that’s the very purpose of the Jewish state to, restore to the Jewish people control of our destiny,” said Netanyahu, who is meeting with the president in advance of his speech later today before the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s annual policy conference.

Memo to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu; if you, and the military and civilian leadership decide to attack Iran, even if the US military and civilian leadership does support Israel militarily, you will absolutely not have the support of the American people.

We remember how intensely Israeli leadership was shilling for a war against Iraq, it's "existential threat du jure" at the time, and just how disastrously badly that has turned out both for the US and the Iraqi people.

And sir, there is a hubristic arrogance in this stand that "Israel deserves the right to strike Iran if need be.", because you know that although Israel may well be able to start such a confrontation, you may well not be able to finish it on your own.

I would like to remind you that the war game exercise, done at Bar Ilan University’s Begin-Sadat Center Strategic Studies, did not appear to go in Israel's favor.

Israel’s leading columnist, Nahum Barnea, published a column this week about an academic war game exercise conducted at Bar Ilan University’s Begin-Sadat Center Strategic Studies. In a paper published last September (Hebrew pdf here), Prof. Moshe Vered considered under what conditions the two nations might enter a war, how long it might last and how it might end. The results were alarming even to the Israeli intelligence community. Here is how Barnea summarizes the research (thanks to Didi Remez for translating the article): “The war could be long,” Vered warns, “its length could be measured in years.” The cost that the war will exact from Israel raises a question mark as to the decision to go to war. The relatively light scenario speaks about an Israeli bombing, after which Iran will fire several volleys of surface-to-surface missiles at Israel. Due to the limited number of missiles and their high cost, the war will end within a short time. The missiles may run out, the study states, but the war will only be getting started.

Additionally, leadership of Russia, China, and Pakistan, all nuclear armed countries, have stated publicly, that should Iran be attacked, they will come to its aid militarily. So what we have here is the potential for a global thermonuclear war, over an alleged Iranian weapons program which cannot, to date, be proven to exist.

Mr. Prime Minister, I urge you to be very, very careful about what you wish for on this issue.

Israeli minister demands air, sea blockade on Iran

An Israeli cabinet minister Tuesday called on placing Iran under an air and sea blockade if it does not stop its presumed drive for nuclear arms.

"The time has come for the United States to place a clear ultimatum and deadline before Iran, and say that 'if Iran does not stop its drive for nuclear weapons by such and such a date, an air and sea blockade must be imposed'," Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz said Tuesday in an interview with Israel Radio.

"We appreciate the cooperation between the US and us and the sanctions that have been imposed, but we expect to hear clearer statements," Xinhua quoted Steinitz as saying.

Memo to Israeli Finance Minister Steinitz: I would very strongly caution you, sir, that thinking Americans have grown sick, tired, and angry at the constant Israeli demand for American blood, and American money to be sacrificed upon the altar of potential Israeli hegemony in the Middle East.

I would rather suggest to Finance Minster Steinitz, should he feel that such an air and sea blockade be so urgently placed against Iran, that the Israeli military imminently capable of doing so.

We do not wish to see, nor will we willingly tolerate, the maiming for life or killing of one more American military personnel to "neutralize" any more of Israel's alleged "existential threats" in the Middle East.

El Al to Move Flights to IDF Base If Iran Attacks: Report

Israel’s national air carrier El Al will move its flights to military bases in the event of a war with Iran, according to the Hebrew-language Maariv newspaper.

Company executives reportedly met in an urgent discussion to deal with wartime scenarios as the Israeli government repeatedly warns that “time is running out” for a military attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

An El Al spokesman claimed that the report is “baseless” but did not say what the airline would do in case of war. He added that if a discussion of the subject had indeed been held, the company would not have commented on it.

Ben Gurion International Airport is located on the edge of the metropolitan Tel Aviv area, which would be a likely target by Iran in the event of war.

IF this story is true, it means that the execs at El Al have a bead on the Israeli timeline for war, and that timeline is very close at hand.

This story appears to be nothing more than propaganda to portray Iran as initiating this war. One possibility which should not be overlooked is of Israel faking an attack against either the US or Israel itself, to blame on Iran. But of course, common sense says, why would Iran do something that stupid?

Israeli state officials disappointed with Obama meeting

Israeli state officials were disappointed Tuesday with the results of the Netanyahu-Obama meeting at the White House on Monday. "There were no surprises," a senior state official said. "It was clear from recent months that there are differences between ourselves and the Americans. We have different perspectives when it comes to the question of time and red lines."

It was claimed that the Americans view the Iranian issue in the context of the upcoming presidential elections. "It's a bad message for the issue and a good message for the Iranians," a state official said.

Translation: Israel will bomb Iran sooner rather than later (or perhaps time the attack at the worst possible time for Obama in an election year), at which point the US military will be tasked with cleaning up the mess.

Debunking Anti-Iran Propaganda: The Myth of the "New Holocaust"

In a pattern of propaganda now well-established in the mainstream media, fear-mongering against Iran is reaching an all-time peak. A case in point includes ongoing accusations that Iran is in violation of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, despite statements to the contrary from U.S. Defence Secretary Leon Panetta as well as a number of American intelligence officials[1].

(Ahem).

1. The only government with nuclear weapons in the Middle East is Israel, a country which refuses to sign the NNPT, or have its nuclear sites inspected by the IAEA.

2. The Iranian leadership is many things, but stupid is not one of them. They understand that any attack against Israel would result in the US and Israel raining nuclear bombs on the heads of Iran's citizens, and they do not want to see this happen.

3. Iran has not started a war in over 200 years, and definitely since becoming an Islamic republic in 1979.

4. Iran is home to the largest Jewish population in the Middle East outside of Israel.

25,000 Jews live in Iran. It’s the largest Jewish population in the Middle East outside of Israel. Iranian Jews are not persecuted or abused by the state, in fact, they are protected under Iran’s constitution. They are free to practice their religion and to vote in elections. They are not stopped and searched at checkpoints, they are not brutalized by an occupying army, and they are not herded into a densely-populated penal colony (Gaza) where they are deprived of the basic means of survival. Iranian Jews live in dignity and enjoy the benefits of citizenship. Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is demonized in the western media. He is called an anti-Semite and the "new Hitler". But if those claims are true, then why did the majority of Iran’s Jews vote for Ahmadinejad in recent presidential elections? Could it be that most of what we know about Ahmadinejad is just baseless rumor and propaganda? This excerpt appeared in an article by the BBC: "(Ahmadinejad’s) office recently donated money for Tehran’s Jewish hospital. It is one of only four Jewish charity hospitals worldwide and is funded with money from the Jewish diaspora – something remarkable in Iran where even local aid organizations have difficulty receiving funds from abroad for fear of being accused of being foreign agents." When did Hitler ever donate money to Jewish hospitals? The Hitler analogy is a desperate attempt to brainwash Americans. It tells us nothing about what Ahmadinejad is really like. The lies about Ahmadinejad are no different than the lies about Saddam Hussein or Hugo Chavez. The US and Israel are trying to create the justification for another war. That’s why the media credits Ahmadinejad with saying things that he never really said. He never said that he wanted to "wipe Israel off the map". That’s another fiction. Things aren’t perfect for Jews living in Iran, but they’re better than they are for Palestinians living in Gaza. Much better.

Santorum: Iran an existential threat to free world

Existential threat?

Pop quiz: How many nations has Iran invaded since it became an Islamic republic in 1979?

N’oublions pas aussi que le gouvernement démocratique et pro-occidental de Moussadek a été renversé par un coup d’État supporté par les États-Unis en 1979 parce qu’il voulait... nationaliser le pétrole iranien !

How many nations has Israel invaded since 1979?

How many nations has the United States invaded since 1979?

Who is the existential threat?

UPDATE: The "Megaphonies" are already piling into the comments section with the usual "Iran wants to kill all the Jews" propaganda.

The reality is that Iran has a large Jewish population, so comfortable that they refused a financial incentive from the government of Israel to emigrate.

There are many synagogues in Iran, one of which has a Torah that is 800 years old! Now, if there were a grain of truth in Israel's claim that Iran wants to kill the Jews, would Iran not start with those living inside their own borders?

Netanyahu in AIPAC speech: Israel cannot afford to wait much longer on Iran

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking at the AIPAC conference in Washington on Monday, called on the international community to acknowledge the fact that Iran is developing nuclear weapons.

"Amazingly, some people refuse to acknowledge that Iran's goal is to develop nuclear weapons. You see, Iran claims that it's enriching uranium to develop medical research. Yeah, right," Netanyahu said.

"If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then what is it? That's right, it's a duck. But this duck is a nuclear duck and it's time the world started calling a duck a duck," he said.

Memo to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu: the international community cannot acknowledge that Iran is developing nuclear weapons, because "there is no there...there."

To date, no IAEA inspection has found any nuclear material diverted for a weapons program. So, by claiming that Iran is developing nuclear weapons, are you calling the IAEA a collective bunch of idiots?!?

U.S. Officials Believe Netanyahu Has Already Decided to Strike Iran

Channel 2 in Israel, sourcing a “senior American official”, says that the decision has already been made by the Israeli government to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.

IRAN THE DANGER TO WORLD PEACE? I DON'T THINK SO!

Since the 1979 Iranian revolution and the downfall of the US Puppet Ruler the Shah, Iran has been an Islamic state. In that interval of time, 1979 to the present, Iran has not invaded anyone. Not once. People of all religions live in peace in Iran, even Jews, who find life so comfortable in Iran they refused an offer by the government of Israel to emigrate!

In the same period of time, Israel, a self-declared Jewish state, attacked Iraq in 1981, bombing the power station at Osirik, claiming it was a clandestine weapons factory. Subsequent examination of the ruins following the 2003 invasion proved Israel had lied. In 1982, Israel invaded Lebanon. This led to the Massacres at Sabra and Shatilla. In February 2003 Israel staged incursions into Gaza and Nablus. In September 2007 Israel bombed Syria, again insisting they were destroying a clandestine weapons laboratory. Again there was no evidence to support Israel's claims. In 2006, Israel attacked Lebanon, killing 1200, mostly civilians, several UN observers, and littering the landscape with land mines on their way out. In February 2008 Israel again raided Gaza, killing over 100. HAMAS agreed to a cease fire and kept it for 6 months until November 4, when Israel again attacked without warning, killing 6 HAMAS members, and launching operation CAST LEAD. 1300 Gazans, mostly civilians, were killed. Israel lost 13 soldiers. Violations of international law included the use of White Phosphorus incendiary bombs against civilians and non-military targets. The United Nations investigated, but Israel refused to cooperate. In May 2010, Israel attacked an international aid flotilla bringing food and medical supplies to Gaza in international waters. 9 people were murdered including an American from New York.

In the same period of time, the United States, officially a secular nation but predominantly Christian, attacked El Salvador (1980), Libya (1981), Sinai (1982), Lebanon (1982 1983), Egypt (1983), Grenada (1983), Honduras (1983), Chad (1983), Persian Gulf (1984), Libya (1986) , Bolivia (1986), Iran (1987), Persian Gulf (1987), Kuwait (1987), Iran (1988), Honduras (1988), Panama (1988), Libya (1989), Panama (1989), Colombia, Bolivia, and Peru (1989), Philippines (1989), Panama (1989-1990), Liberia (1990), Saudi Arabia (1990), Iraq (1991), Zaire (1991), Sierra Leone (1992), Somalia (1992), Bosnia-Herzegovina (1993 to present), Macedonia (1993), Haiti (1994), Macedonia (1994), Bosnia (1995), Liberia (1996), Central African Republic (1996), Albania (1997), Congo/Gabon (1997), Sierra Leon (1997), Cambodia (1997), Iraq (1998), Guinea/Bissau (1998), Kenya/Tanzania (1998 to 1999), Afghanistan/Sudan (1998), Liberia (1998), East Timor (1999), Serbia (1999), Sierra Leon (2000), Yemen (2000), East Timor (2000), Afghanistan (2001 to present), Yemen (2002), Philippines (2002) , Cote d'Ivoire (2002), Iraq (2003 to present), Liberia (2003), Georgia/Djibouti (2003), Haiti (2004), Georgia/Djibouti/Kenya/Ethiopia/Yemen/Eritrea War on Terror (2004), Pakistan drone attacks (2004 to present), Somalia (2007), South Ossetia/Georgia (2008), Syria (2008), Yemen (2009), Haiti (2010), etc. etc. etc. etc.

So, who is the danger to world peace?

Obama Freezes Iranian Government, Central Bank Assets in U.S.

By Associated Press

Obama orders new US sanctions on Iran’s government, including Central Bank

US wants SWIFT war on Iran

When in doubt, slap more sanctions
Yet the vultures, jackals and hyenas of regime change/war can never be appeased in their sanction lust. The US is now forcing the EU to cut off Iran from Brussels-based SWIFT - the independent telecom mechanism/clearinghouse used by every bank in the world to exchange financial data (its official name is Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications). Iran's Central Bank itself may become a victim.

In a nutshell, SWIFT is the wheel that moves global financial transactions and trade. So if this is not an extended, remixed declaration of hardcore economic war against one country - nothing else is.

Banking's SWIFT ready to stop Iran transactions

Belgium-based SWIFT, which provides banks with a system for moving funds around the world, bowed to international pressure on Friday and said it was ready to block Iranian banks from using its network to transfer money further isolating Iran's economy on the global stage.

Expelling Iranian banks from the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication would shut down Tehran's main avenue to doing business with the rest of the world - an outcome the West believes is crucial to curbing Iran's nuclear ambitions.

1. Iran is using nuclear technology for energy, not a weapons program.

2. Because China, India, and other countries are continuing to buy Iranian oil, this expulsion from SWIFT will be nothing more than a temporary annoyance, to be remedied by other means and measures.

US, Europe eye risky, unprecedented penalty for Iran over pursuit of nuclear weapons

The United States and Europe are considering unprecedented punishment against Iran that could immediately cripple the country's financial lifeline. But it's an extreme option in the banking world that would come with its own costs.

The Obama administration wants Iran evicted from SWIFT, an independent financial clearinghouse that is crucial to the country's overseas oil sales. That would leapfrog the current slow-pressure campaign of sanctions aimed at persuading Iran to drop what the U.S. and its allies contend is a drive toward developing and building nuclear weapons. It also perhaps would buy time for the U.S. to persuade Israel not to launch a pre-emptive military strike on Iran this spring.

Barring Iran from SWIFT will not stop Iran trading oil with those countries eager to buy, like India and China; Iran's banking and technical people will find an intelligent workaround, and very quickly.

As as to such an action "buying time" against a potential Israeli pre-emptive attack against Iran; were I a betting person, I wouldn't bet on it.

Iran cuts oil to six EU countries

No details were immediately made available on the Press TV report on Wednesday, including which six nations were affected by the decision.

The move comes days after Iran's oil minister, Rostam Qassemi, said Tehran could cut off oil exports to "hostile" European nations as tensions rise over the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.

Iran has developed "4th generation centrifuges" made of carbon fibre that are "speedier, produce less waste and occupy less space" as they spin at supersonic speeds to purify uranium, state television reported, citing Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation.

EU Oil Sanctions to Increase Iran's Oil Revenues $10bln

One month after the EU decision to impose an oil ban on supplies from Iran, many international energy analysts have come to describe the decision as an inexperienced and immature move which will hit a heavy blow to the EU nations and inflict huge economic losses on the European states.

This is while the price of Iran's oil has reached $125 in recent days which shows a 20-dollar increase in one month. Analysts also predict that crude prices in the world will further witness increase in the coming months.

Talk about your unintended consequences!!

Iran claims significant advance in nuclear programme

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was shown on state television on Wednesday visiting the Tehran Research Reactor, a civilian facility designed to produce medical isotopes for cancer treatment, where fuel rods were being installed.

In theory, this should allow the plant to operate independently of any foreign help. In addition, Iran said that it would soon unveil a new variety of centrifuge, capable of enriching uranium perhaps four times faster than the existing models.

The Deflationary Undertow Before The Inflationary Wave

A very reasonable assumption is that oil supplies, especially to Europe, will be severely curtailed. Aside from the fact that one fifth of the world’s oil production passes through the Straight of Hormuz—ground zero of a war with Iran—the rest of the world and especially Europe depends on Iranian oil. As discussed in the SPG Scenario of this past June (“An Israeli-Iranian War?”), close to 10% of the eurozone’s oil comes from Iran—and the countries most particularly dependent on Iranian oil are precisely those most in trouble right now: The so-called PIIGS.

UN inspectors get rare access to suspected Iran nuclear site

Iran has agreed to let United Nations inspectors into a military complex suspected of nuclear weapons development, a day after the top inspector warned he had "serious concerns" over activities at the site.

The semi-official Iranian Students' News Agency reported Tuesday that Iran's mission to the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna confirmed inspectors would be allowed to visit the Parchin military complex, located near Tehran. "Parchin is a military site and accessing it is a time-consuming process, therefore visits cannot be allowed frequently ... We will allow the IAEA to visit it one more time," the statement said.

Although this sounds hopeful, don't count on the IAEA's Director Amano to give the Parchin facility a clean bill of health.

If, in fact, this inspection goes forward, you can almost count on Amano to spin some lurid scenarios, implying - while not stating directly - that the Iranians are using this facility for the development of nuclear weapons.

Iran lifts a veil: Tehran gives IAEA access to strategic Parchin site

rt.com

Iran says it will allow the UN nuclear watchdog to inspect the facility where the West suspects work is under way to develop nuclear warheads. Meanwhile, the world’s major powers have agreed to a new round of six-party talks with Iran.

"Given that Parchin is a military site, access to this facility is a time-consuming process and it can't be visited repeatedly," said Iran's diplomatic mission in Vienna, as cited by the Iranian semi-official ISNA news agency. However, the spokesperson then added that following IAEA demands, Tehran “will allow the IAEA to visit it one more time."

The statement comes as fears grow that Israel may soon strike Iran in an attempt to destroy its nuclear facilities.

One cheerful moment: Israel's undeclared nukes get a mention on the BBC

One cheerful moment, on last night’s Newsnight. Jeremy Paxman actually challenged the Israeli Ambassador, who seemed keen to attack Iran, over Israel’s nuclear weapons. First time in years I heard such a thing on the BBC.

Then when the Israeli Ambassador replied “Israel is not the one threatening to attack other countries” Paxman replied “You just discussed attacking Iran”.

All of which is entirely obvious, but almost totally absent from broadcast media.

Iran vs Israel: What The Media Wants You To Forget

The corporate media have been given their orders to throw the focus back on to Iran.

Here is a recap of what they are trying to make you forget.

1. Last Spring, Rose Gottemoeller, an assistant secretary of state and Washington's chief nuclear arms negotiator, asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel refused.

2. The United Nations passed a resolution calling on Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

3. The IAEA asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

4. Iran's formal notification to the IAEA of the planned construction of the backup fuel-rod facility underscores that Iran is playing by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed.

5. Iran allows IAEA inspections of all its facilities.

6. Contrary to face-saving claims, it appears that the US and Israel were both caught off guard by Iran's announcement of a planned underground (to avoid being bombed) enrichment facility. The reasoning is simple. Had the US or Israel announced the existence of he new facility before Iran's notified the IAEA, it would have put Iran on the defensive. As it is now, the US and Israel seem to be playing catch up, casting doubt on the veracity of Israel's claims to \"know\" that Iran is a nuclear threat.

7. The IAEA and all 16 United States Intelligence Agencies are unanimous in agreement that Iran is not building and does not possess nuclear weapons.

8. In 1986, Mordachai Vanunu blew the whistle and provided photographs showing Israel's clandestine nuclear weapons factory underneath the reactor at Dimona.

9. Israel made the same accusations against Iraq that it is making against Iran, leading up to Israel's bombing of the power station at Osirik. Following the invasion of 2003, international experts examined the ruins of the power station at Osirik and found no evidence of a clandestine weapons factory in the rubble.

10. The United Nations has just released the Goldstone Report, a scathing report which accuses Israel of 37 specific war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza earlier this year. Israel has denounced the report as \"Anti-Semitic (even though Judge Goldstone is himself Jewish), and the United States will block the report from being referred to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague, thereby making the US Government an accessory after-the-fact.

11. Recently revealed documents prove not only that Israel has nuclear weapos, but actually tried to sell some to Apartheid South Africa. Who else Israel approached to sell nuclear weapons remains an unasked question.

12. In 1965, Israel stole over 200-600 pounds of weapons-grade uranium from the United States.

13. Declassified documents from the former South African regime prove not only that Israel has had nuclear weapons for decades, but has tried to sell them to other countries!

We all need to be Joe Wilson right now. We need to stand up and scream, \"LIAR!\" at every politician and every talking media moron that is pushing this war in Iran. And we need to keep dong it until they get the message that we will not be deceived any more.

Israel wants to send your kids off to die in Iran, and YOU are the only one that can stop them.

Unknown Gunman Kills Saudi Diplomat in Bangladesh

A Saudi diplomat was shot and killed on a residential street in Bangladesh's capital early Tuesday, and authorities say the gunman and a motive were unknown.

However, if the killing is not deemed a street crime, speculation could turn to Iran, which has been blamed for other international attacks as it struggles against Saudi Arabia for dominance in the Middle East.

Which means this assassination was carried out by Israel to blame on Iran, to sabotage relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan Rejects US Sanctions Threat, Will Expand Energy Ties With Iran

Speaking in a news conference today, Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Khar rejected US demands to end all energy ties with neighboring Iran, saying that the ties are in Pakistan’s national interest and will be expanded, particularly as it relates to the controversial gas pipeline.

The US has been pressuring Pakistan for years to abandon the deal, as US sanctions are aimed at limiting if not entirely cutting off Iranian energy production from the rest of the world. Khar insisted that the deal was too compelling for Pakistan to turn down. As for US threats of sanctions against Pakistan for participating in the pipeline, Khar insisted they would “cross that bridge when we come to it.”

Yesterday, Hillary Clinton threatened sanctions against Pakistan if it went through with the deal.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Wednesday warned that Pakistan could face US sanctions if it pressed ahead with its proposed gas pipeline project with Iran.

Yesterday, NATO shelled Northern Waziristan, which borders on Pakistan.

At least six people, all of them civilian tribesmen, were reported “critically injured” today after NATO forces fired artillery shells against a village in Datta Khel, North Waziristan Agency. Four of the wounded were children. The attack sparked a panic among locals, as well as complaints that the Pakistani national government is unable to keep NATO from attacking the tribal areas. NATO has yet to comment on the strike.

This threat, combined with the bombing in Northern Waziristan on Pakistan's border, is a not so subtle warning that should the pipeline be constructed, the US will bomb it to smithereens.

I would like to hope that Pakistani civilian and military leadership understand, unequivocally, that the US is already at war with Pakistan.

Israeli Officials Complain of US Reluctance to Attack Iran

Israeli officials are again complaining that public statements from top U.S. officials have not been sufficiently supportive of waging war on Iran and have played into the hands of the Ayatollahs.

This is not a first. Last month, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and other senior Israeli officials complained that U.S. officials speaking publicly about their reluctance to start a war with Iran ”served Iran’s interests.”

Iran Welcomes Back IAEA to Dispel Nuclear Weapons Allegations

Keelan Balderson, Contributing Writer
Activist Post

The Iranian Government once again welcomed the IAEA into the country to discuss their nuclear energy program, and to dispel unfounded allegations from the West and Israel that they are pursing a nuclear weapon...

UN atomic agency team 'denied access' to suspected Iran nuclear site

Not that I think this actually happened. but if we take this story at face value, we need to keep something in mind. The NNPT requires signators to identify all nuclear sites to the IAEA and allow full inspections. Iran has already complied. The NNPT does NOT grant the IAEA a blanket license to wander about the country at will because such activity can and has been used as a cover for espionage, which Iran is rightly seeking to contain. What I think happened is that someone's asset covered as an IAEA inspector pointed a finger at an Iranian facility they already know is not a nuclear facility, knowing that Iran would refuse access to sensitive areas, in order to create another headline demonizing the intended victim.

Remember Iraq.

There were no weapons of mass destruction despite all the allegations and rumors and suspicions showered all over the media ahead of time.

So this new report about Iran is just more of the same bovine excrement.

Parchin - Iranian Base IAEA refused entry to.

"Although under the NPT rules Iran is not required to allow inspectors into its military bases, on January 13, 2005, IAEA inspectors were allowed partial access to the Parchin military base as a confidence building measure. [3] The IAEA’s February 2006 report [4] notes that "The Agency did not observe any unusual activities in the buildings visited, and the results of the analysis of environmental samples did not indicate the presence of nuclear material at those locations." Visual inspection showed that sites were not as capable as suggested by satellite imagery."

Former CIA Director Nonsensically Claims Statue of Liberty is Target for Iranian Attack

I never fail to be surprised by the completely illogical and nonsensical claims made by former and active individuals in the Western intelligence community in an attempt to scare the American people into submission.

Previously, it was the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper who was attempting to convince us that Iran has “changed their calculus and are now more willing to conduct an attack in the United States.”

This time around, it is R. James Woolsey, the former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) who jumped on the disinformation train in an appearance on Aaron Klein Investigative Radio on WABC Radio in New York.

Although Iran continues to enrich uranium at low levels, U.S. officials say they have not seen evidence that has caused them to significantly revise that judgment. Senior U.S. officials say Israel does not dispute the basic intelligence or analysis.

But Israel appears to have a lower threshold for action than Washington. It regards Iran as a threat to its existence and says it will not allow Iran to become capable of building and delivering a nuclear weapon. Some Israeli officials have raised the prospect of a military strike to stop Iran before it's too late.

Iran is not a threat to Israel's existence, but if it acquired nuclear bomb technology, Israel wouldn't be the only country in the Middle East with the capability of selling nuclear weapons technology, something with which Israel has had a great deal of experience ever since getting the bomb. If Iran acquires the bomb, then it also becomes much more difficult to invade and capture its oil fields.

Israel is secretly selling nuclear technology to America's enemies in breach of a long-established agreement. The joke is, these are American weapons paid for by American tax-payers who generously subsidise Israel, going to a rising Communist superpower. Israel's relationship with its closest ally, the United States, seems to have hit a rough patch, with Washington apparently upset with Israel's clandestine dealings with China. The spat is not new, however. It has its roots in a decade-old issue. Old suspicions have returned. It is an explosion into the public domain of a row that has been going on for a few years. The quarrel is over Israel's alleged concealing from Washington of an upgrade of a major weapons system it sold to China more than a decade ago. The United States claims that by upgrading the system, Israel violated its commitment not to transfer US technology to China without Washington's permission. Israel, however, insists that the upgrade was really just routine maintenance of a system that had originally been sold to China with US approval. What appears to have propelled this simmering tension into the open is a clash of personalities. According to reports in the media, US Under Secretary of Defense Doug Feith believes that Israeli Defense Ministry director general Amos Yaron misled him on the arms sale to China. On Wednesday, Israeli media reported that Feith had demanded Yaron's resignation (the Pentagon has subsequently denied this). Israel is China's second-largest arms supplier (the first being Russia). Although diplomatic relations between Israel and China were established only in 1992, military ties go back to the early 1980s. Until formal diplomatic ties were established, the military relationship was covert. Israel sold about US$4 billion worth of arms to China during the covert courtship. In the 1990s, the Sino-Israel military relationship grew rapidly. In fact, arms sales contributed to the strengthening of diplomatic engagement.

Although the article cited here is older, the Israeli practice of selling nuclear armaments (and the American technology which went with them) to countries hostile to the United States goes on, unabated. They just don't want any of their neighbors in the Middle East to get in on the action.

And because Israel has nuclear weapons, but refuses to become a signatory to the NNPT, every single dime of the billions of dollars the US forks over to Israel annually in financial and military aid is illegal, under the Symington Amendment

For the US, with "friends" like Israel in this context, who needs enemies?!?

AND YET... Israeli leadership is bringing incredible pressure to bear on the US government and military to "neutralize" Iran, with the cost to be spent in American blood and American money, and again sacrificed upon the altar of Israeli hegemony in the Middle East.

US spy agencies see no evidence of Iranian nuclear weapons program

US intelligence analysts believe there is no hard evidence that Iran has decided to build a nuclear bomb, The New York Times reported Saturday.

Iran will never seek nuclear weapons: Leader

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the Iranian nation has never sought and will never seek nuclear weapons as it has the capacity to challenge the nuclear-backed influence such powers rely on.

BREAKING NEWS: Israel backing down from Iran threats

Israel is backing down from her threats to bomb Iran.

In a scathing loss of face for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, diplomatic sources in Israel have revealed that President Shimon Peres will meet privately with President Obama at the White House before - repeat before Netanyahu.

High level sources in Israel have just leaked a sanitized version of the President's plan to the Israeli press. But, there is much more to the story. In his meeting at the White House, Peres will inform Obama that Netanyahu has performed poorly in his handling of the Iran nuclear crisis and that bellicose statements from the Prime Minister's cabinet have been both self-intimidating and self-destructive.

IF this information is true, it is a strong potential victory for peace, and all those who advocate peace and dialogue as being the intelligent way of resolving international conflicts.

India to step up ties with Tehran; unfazed by US sanctions

Unfazed by US sanctions and Israel linking Tehran to the attack on an Israeli embassy car here, India is set to ramp up its energy and business ties with Iran, with a commerce ministry team heading to Tehran to explore fresh business opportunities.

'Pardo probed US reaction to unilateral Iran strike'

In his recent meetings in Washington, DC Mossad chief Tamir Pardo aimed to discover how the US would react were Israel to unilaterally attack Iran's nuclear facilities, Newsweek reported Monday.

The US Government would pussy out just like they did when Israel murdered that aid worker from New York in international waters.

Iran poised to expand uranium enrichment at underground facility, diplomats say

The reported work at Fordo appeared to reflect Iran's determination to forge ahead with nuclear activity that could be used to make atomic arms despite rapidly escalating international sanctions and the latent threat of an Israeli military strike on its nuclear facilities.

Every baseball bat "could be used to" commit murder. But we do not arrest, jail, or execute the owners of baseball bats until they actually commit a crime. "Could" is not the same thing as "has", which applies to nations as well as people.

When Iran actually, provably HAS a nuclear weapon, then the US and Israel can simply remind Iran of the US and Israel's much larger nuclear arsenals, and Iran can display their nuclear bomb in a museum to impress their citizens, or to be more realistic, use it to discourage invasions by outside aggressors in this era where the US is invading and conquering every nation that does not actually have nuclear weapons.

Britain draws up war plan against Iran

Britain is reportedly drawing up a battle plan for a war with Iran as top defence officials believe London will be "sucked into" any new conflict with Tehran.

Plans are being made to send hundreds of troops and an nuclear submarine to the Gulf region, The Sun reported.

Defence officials believe it is just a matter of when the war breaks out -- with the timescale set between 18 and 24 months.

"Ministry of defence planners went into overdrive at the start of the year. Conflict is seen as inevitable as long as the regime pursue their nuclear ambitions. Britain would be sucked in whether we like it or not, probably via Iranian attacks on our forces in Afghanistan next door to them," an unnamed official said.

Media Making Emergency Preparations To Cover War With Iran

Major western news outlets, including FOX, CBS, NBC and Reuters, rent rooftops, prepare emergency broadcast infrastructure, and deploy senior producers to Israel to cover war with Iran.

Did they get the shock of their lives when the Rebel musket balls whizzed over their heads and the Union soldiers ran for their lives from the field? Or similarly, the Israelis in southern Israel who took lawn chairs out to watch the IDF smash Gaza to smithereens in 2009? Here’s a picture of another group of expectant, thrilled Israelis watching the action.

That’s what the foreign press corps appears to be doing now in Tel Aviv in preparation for an attack on Iran. They’re renting the right to put film crews and reporters on the city’s rooftops (Hebrew) during the upcoming war in order to cover the anticipated Iranian counterattack. That way they can get great photo ops and pictures of missiles wreaking havoc on the city. What a story! What a feast for the eyes! Other news organizations like CBS, Fox News, and NBC are sending their senior producers to Israel to scope out the place in case they have to send in the big boys–the news anchors and senior correspondents (especially since no one can report from Teheran!).

IDF uncovers Iranian-made explosive device in Gaza

Engineering Corps officers have spent the past few weeks studying a powerful explosive device placed alongside other charges near the border fence and meant to target an IDF force. The explosives were successfully dismantled.

The device was found to contain unmistakable Iranian trademarks similar to previously intercepted weapons with Revolutionary Guards stamps on them which had made their way to the Gaza Strip.

Note that absolutely no individual in the IDF is sourced on this.

Let's exercise a little logic here.

IF the Iranian Revolutionary Guard was going to smuggle explosives into Gaza, why would they be stamped as having been made by the Revolutionary Guard, when these people understand what the consequences of the capture of such weapons would be?!?

The short answer is, they wouldn't!

But this is precisely the kind of bovine excrement which can come back to haunt the perpetrator of such an absurd accusation, and that is why no one at the IDF wants to take responsibility for having stated this to YNET NEWS.

Netanyahu: Iran Sanctions 'Not Working'

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Thursday said sanctions imposed on Iran by the international community "are not working."

"Iran is the most irresponsible force in the world. I hope the sanctions will have an effect, but so far they have not," Netanyahu said while on a state visit to Nicosia in Cyprus.

"We are dealing with a regime that violates every resolution and has no respect for international standards," the Israeli premier said. "Iran's race towards nuclear weapons should concern the US and every other country."

"Nuclear arms in the hands of such a regime is a cause for great concern to the US and Israel," he added.

Memo to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu:

1. Iran, as a signatory to the NNPT, is developing nuclear energy with consistent inspections to insure that nuclear energy is used peacefully.

2. To date, none of the IAEA inspections have uncovered any diversion of nuclear materials toward a weapons program.

3. Israel, which has nuclear weapons, refuses to become a signatory to the NNPT and to have their nuclear weapons sites inspected.

4. This means that technically, every dime of US aid to Israel, both monetary and defense-related is illegal, under the Symington Amendment.

5. Since declaring itself an Islamic Republic in 1979, Iran has not started any military strike against its neighbors: one cannot say the same thing of Israel from that point in time, Mr. Prime Minister.

6. The US doesn't have the money, the person-power or the manufacturing, to adequately fight a successful war against Iran, as the Israeli leadership would like to see happen.

7. Add to that the very grim reality that Russian and Chinese leadership have gone public with statements indicating that should Iran be attacked, they will join such a confrontation on the side of Iran.

8. So what we have here, sir, is the potential for a thermonuclear war over an alleged weapons program that no one can actually prove exists.

In conclusion, Mr. Prime Minister, should Israeli leadership decide to bomb Iran, I would hope that those in the bowels of power in DC decide to sit this one out, and allow Israel to reap what it will sow with such an attack, particularly should Russia and China decide to assist Iran militarily.

Mr. Prime Minister, I would very strongly caution you, the Knesset, and the IDF to please, collectively, be careful what you wish for.

Hubris, be it on an individual or national level, frequently carries with it an horrendous price in terms of potential unintended consequences.

America is "Serious" about its Plan to Wage War on Iran. Pentagon acknowledges Scenario of Heavy Combat Casualties

Israeli Strike On Iran 'Not Prudent,' Gen. Martin Dempsey Says

A military strike against Iran's nuclear facilities is "not prudent" at the present moment, America's top military official, Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, told "CNN's Fareed Zakaria GPS" in an interview set to air Sunday morning.

“It’s not prudent at this point to decide to attack Iran,” said Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in the interview.

"I think it would be premature to exclusively decide that the time for a military option was upon us," Dempsey added, according to early reports of the interview, noting that he sensed that increased sanctions were beginning to have an effect.

General Dempsey is completely logical in his assessment.

Unfortunately, however, there are those in the bowels of power in DC and Tel Aviv who have a very different agenda other than that driven by logic.

For the Israeli leadership, such an attack needs to happen soon to prevent the perception in the US that Israel is playing election politics with the timing of such an attack (an "October Surprise" of this nature will not be well received here, so close to the US election cycle.)

And for those in the bowels of power in DC, such an attack needs to come before Greece defaults (which will most likely happen next month), bringing down the Euro and the American banking system with it, in order to have something to blame for the lousy state of the US economy after these events happen, rather than catastrophically bad decision-making emanating from Washington.

But I would strongly caution the leadership in both Tel Aviv and Washington to be very careful what they wish for.

Both Chinese and Russian leadership have made very public statements indicating that any attack against Iran will be met with China and Russia's military aid to Iran.

So what we have here is the potential for a thermonuclear, global war over an alleged Iranian weapons program which cannot be proven, to date, to exist.

I would like to hope that both Israeli and US leadership clearly understand the potential for horrendous unintended consequences should such an attack against Iran happen, no matter which country starts it.

Obama sends top security aide to Israel as tension builds over nuclear Iran - The Telegraph

A senior US security official arrived in Israel on Saturday as international tension over Iran's nuclear development reached an all-time high.

In recent weeks, Israeli government officials have remained resolutely tight-lipped on their position on the Iranian threat but a string of high-ranking US officials have expressed the belief that Israel is preparing to act, with or without American support.

In an interview with the New York Times late last year, Ehud Barak, Israel's minister of defence, suggested that an Israeli strike on Iran is all but inevitable.

William Hague warns Israel over Iran military action - The Telegraph

Foreign Secretary William Hague warned Israel today that military action against Iran would not be "a wise thing".

Amid rumours the Israeli government is considering strikes against Iran within months, Mr Hague insisted economic sanctions and negotiations had to be given "a real chance" to convince Tehran to abandon its nuclear ambitions.

In an interview with BBC1's Andrew Marr Show, the Foreign Secretary repeated his warning that a nuclear-armed Iran would result in another cold war in the Middle East.

"They would either be attacked and there would be a war, or there would be a cold war in which Iran for the long term would be subject to these very intense economic sanctions and they would find that other nations in their region developed nuclear weapons," he said.

Surprise, Surprise: Navy Seals Don't Want To Be Sacrificial Lambs In New False Flag

Acclaimed actor, humanitarian, and American patriot Ed Asner provided further proof on the Alex Jones show on Monday, February 13, that the bad guys in Washington and Tel Aviv are planning to stage a new false flag attack and blame it on Iran to get World War III up and going. Kurt Nimmo writes:
Appearing on the Alex Jones Show on Monday, Emmy Award-winning actor Ed Asner said Navy Seals have told him military action against Iran is forthcoming and will be preceded by a false flag attack.

Asner told Alex and his nationally syndicated radio show audience that the Seals are attempting to alert the American people about the prospect of a false flag operation and “more foreign escapades” before the establishment media “starts brainwashing us.”

Netanyahu's Visit to the US: A diplomatic warning?

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s visit to Washington next month has raised speculation of a meeting with President Barack Obama over whether an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities is the best plan of action or whether a pre-emptive military strike would not have the desired results.

IF Israel goes ahead with a pre-emptive strike against Iran, all US military and financial aid should stop, immediately, and the US Ambassador to Tel Aviv should be recalled.

Netanyahu will be unleashing World War III upon this planet by doing so, and bad behaviour, by one of the most pathologically unappreciative nations receiving US aid, should not be tolerated.

Even Israel Admits that Iran Has Not Decided to Build a Nuclear Bomb

American and European leaders say that there is no evidence that Iran is building a nuclear weapon.

Even Israel – which has threatened to attack Iran on its own – now admits the same thing.

As Haaretz noted on January 18th:

The intelligence assessment Israeli officials will present later this week to [Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin ] Dempsey indicates that Iran has not yet decided whether to make a nuclear bomb.

The Israeli view is that while Iran continues to improve its nuclear capabilities, it has not yet decided whether to translate these capabilities into a nuclear weapon – or, more specifically, a nuclear warhead mounted atop a missile. Nor is it clear when Iran might make such a decision.

Israeli Finance Minister Pushes Naval, Aerial Blockade of Iran

In an interview today with Bloomberg Businessweek, Israeli Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz rejected the European Union’s ban on importation of Iranian crude oil, insisting it doesn’t go nearly far enough.

Instead, Steinitz called for the international community to impose a full naval and aerial blockade across all of Iran so that “no one can even go out [sic].” This is the only option with any chance of success, he said.

Oh yes, Russia, China, India, and Japan are SURE to jump on THAT band wagon!

It is rather painfully apparent that Israeli finance Minister Steinitz hasn't quite received the memo, yet, that all these countries are going to continue to buy oil from Iran.

Of course, if Minister Steinitz would like Israel to create such a naval and aerial blockade of Iran all by its lonesome, Israel is thoroughly welcomed to do that, and just see what the consequences of such actions will be!

Iran will have the bomb...ten years ago.

So as November 2011 approaches, I happen to glance over my collection of news articles from 10 years ago, and what do I see?

C.I.A. Says Iran Makes Progress On Atom Arms

Mossad chief: Nuclear Iran not necessarily existential threat to Israel

A nuclear-armed Iran wouldn't necessarily constitute a threat to Israel's continued existence, Mossad chief Tamir Pardo reportedly hinted earlier this week.

When even the head of Mossad doesn't believe Iran would use nuclear weapons on Israel , will we fall for the same lies as on Iraq all over again?

Apart from US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta saying Iran is not currently developing a nuclear weapon ; and the fact that we’ve been being told Iran was about to develop a nuclear weapon for 20 years, including among many, many others, some CIA claims in 1992 and Israeli intelligence claims in 1995 that Iran would have them in 5 years and US State Department claims that they’d have one within 16 days in December 2006; not even the current head of Mossad thinks Iran would use nuclear weapons on Israel if it developed them

Netanyahu Revealed Israel’s Desired Borders

The security and expansion of the Jewish state is key to the neoconservative movement. That is why they started the war in Iraq and will probably start a war for Israel’s benefit in Iran. The father of the neoconservative movement, the Jew Leo Strauss, wrote many articles and gave many speeches in which he revealed his desire to have a world based on the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. In the forward to the very revealing and important book which is a collection of Strauss’ writings, Jewish Philosophy and the Crisis of Modernity, Kenneth Hart Green writes, “Strauss learned from Maimonides that religion is essential to any healthy political society, and certainly for the moral life of human beings. Over and above this, Maimonides convinced Strauss that Jewish religion, based on the Hebrew Bible, is most essential to ground a ‘genuine’ morality for almost every human being.”

Of course living in a society based on the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament would require Jews being supreme while the Gentiles serve them.

U.S. Worries Israel is about to Strike Iran – Washington Post

U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta believes there is "a strong likelihood" that Israel will strike Iran in April, May or June, according to the Washington Post's David Ignatius.

Israel believes that after this time, Iran will have entered a “zone of immunity” that will enable it to build a nuclear bomb at its leisure, Ignatius wrote. Defense Minister Ehud Barak used the same words Thursday in his speech at the Herzliya Conference.

Memo to Israeli Defense Minister Barak: if you feel you must strike Iran, I would caution you, very seriously, to take to heart what US Joint Chief of Staff Dempsey said last week regarding the US response to an uncoordinated Israeli attack against Iran.

And hey, since both Russian and Chinese officials have said, very clearly and publicly, that they will support Iran in the event of either an Israeli or US attack against it, enjoy all the pleasures of a 3-front war between Israel, Iran, China, and Russia; that ought to be spectacular.

And lastly, Defense Minster Barak, you and your colleagues in Israel need to get one thing straight: thinking Americans are sick and tired of paying the cost in American blood and American money as a sacrifice on the altar of potential Israeli hegemony in the Middle East.

We want that practice stopped by the US government, and right the heck now!!

Dempsey Told Israelis US Won’t Join Their War on Iran

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey told Israeli leaders Jan. 20 that the United States would not participate in a war against Iran begun by Israel without prior agreement from Washington, according to accounts from well-placed senior military officers.

IDF Chief: Must Continue Counterproductive Iran Postures

“The world and the region must continue to isolate Iran,” Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz said on Wednesday.

Grantz added: “we must not forget one basic thing: Israel is the only country in the world which someone is calling for its destruction and which someone is building the tools to do so. This is something that cannot be ignored.”

Apparently, Lt. General Gantz has never received the memo that every inspection by the IAEA has proven that absolute ZERO nuclear materials have gone missing.

So, how are Iranian scientists supposed to be building a bomb, when all nuclear materials are accounted for?!?

The short answer is, they CAN'T, Lt. General!!!

Do you think Americans are so logic-challenged they don't understand this?!? This is a blatant insult against the basic intelligence of the people of this country, and we resent it.

And as to that allegation that Iran's leadership wanting to destroy Israel, or wipe it off the map; that's the biggest alleged statement that Ahmedinejad never made.

"Ahmadinejad did not say he was going to wipe Israel off the map because no such idiom exists in Persian," remarked Juan Cole, a Middle East specialist at the University of Michigan and critic of American policy who has argued that the Iranian president was misquoted. "He did say he hoped its regime, i.e., a Jewish-Zionist state occupying Jerusalem, would collapse." Since Iran has not "attacked another country aggressively for over a century," he said in an e-mail exchange, "I smell the whiff of war propaganda."

In these statements you've made, sir, I see desperation on the cusp of madness in an attempt to get a war against Iran going any possible way you can, and for absolutely no intellectually honest reason.

And I would strongly caution you, sir, that thinking Americans are sick and tired of the costs, in blood and money, which have been sacrificed upon the altar of potential Israeli hegemony in the region: ENOUGH!!

As you are well aware, Iran hasn't begun a military conflict in over 200 years, and certainly not since it became an Islamic Republic in 1979.

Israel says Iran has material for four A-bombs

Israel estimated on Thursday that Iran could make four atomic bombs by further enriching uranium it has already stockpiled, and could produce its first within a year of deciding to build one.

But in his rare public remarks, Major-General Aviv Kochavi, chief of military intelligence, held out the possibility stronger international sanctions might dissuade Tehran from pursuing a policy he had no doubt was aimed at developing nuclear weapons, despite Iranian denials.

Apparently, Israeli Major-General Aviv Kochavi didn't get the memo that IAEA inspectors, who have recently returned from Iran, characterized it as a "good trip."

"We are committed to resolve all the outstanding issues and the Iranians said they are committed too," Herman Nackaerts, IAEA deputy director general, told reporters after returning from Tehran. "But of course there is still a lot of work to be done and so we have planned another trip in the very near future." Asked if he was satisfied with the talks, Nackaerts said: "Yeah, we had a good trip." He described the talks as "intensive discussions" with their Iranian counterparts but declined to give any more details, saying he first needed to brief his boss, Amano. Later, the IAEA issued a brief statement saying another meeting would take place from Feb 21-22 in Tehran.

Israel is absolutely desperate to get this war going; the sooner, the better, and definitely before this next round of IAEA meetings in Tehran, and the impending collapse of the Euro, which will bring the US banking system down with it.

General Dempsey, who has recently been to Israel, has told the top brass there with whom he met that if Israel started a war against Iran, that they would be on their own, without any US military assistance.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey told Israeli leaders Jan. 20 that the United States would not participate in a war against Iran begun by Israel without prior agreement from Washington, according to accounts from well-placed senior military officers. Dempsey’s warning, conveyed to both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak, represents the strongest move yet by President Barack Obama to deter an Israeli attack and ensure that the United States is not caught up in a regional conflagration with Iran.

What this means is that we may well be looking at, and very soon, is a huge false flag attack in this country with which to con the American people, and its government, into a war against Iran.

Iran has material for four atomic bombs, Israel says

"And a Death Star! No, really, Iran has a Death Star. I've seen it myself. Honest! And you're a filthy anti-Semite if you don't believe us!"

(Ahem)

As I recall, Israel made the exact same claims about Iraq, which turned out to be a fantasy. Same with Syria. In fact, Israel has been batting zero in terms of who they claim has weapons of mass destruction, and we ought not to be listening to them with regard to Iran, which unlike Israel and the United States has not invaded or tried to conquer anyone since it became an Islamic Republic in 1979.

On the other hand, maybe it is time to pay more attention to those hundreds of nuclear weapons Israel has been building underneath Dimona (without signing the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty), one of which they were caught trying to sell to South Africa!

Israel's Children Learn to Put on Gas Masks

While top military analysts at the 2012 Herzliya Conference describe the types of weapons aimed at Israel, IDF emergency instructors calmly teach youngsters how to put on their gas masks.

Although much has changed, some things have remained constant – like the need to teach the next generation how to find the nearest safe space, and how to correctly put on a gas mask.

IDF emergency instructors routinely visit schools throughout Israel in order to teach young children how to perform these tasks -- even as young as second graders.

The training is carried out in a calm manner, one designed to “normalize” for youngsters as much as possible things that most Western societies would never dream of having to teach their children.

Memo to the Israeli government: if you really struck a lasting peace with the Palestinians, declared your borders, and started treating your neighbors in the region with a little more respect, none of this would be necessary at all.

Teaching children to be afraid is how you control them when they grow up, to inculcate the belief that everyone else in the world around them is out to destroy them, save their own countrymen and women.

US Warns Iran Not To Fight Back Against Israeli Attack

US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta “believes there is a strong likelihood that Israel will strike Iran in April, May or June,” reports the Washington Post, adding that Panetta was likely told of the timing when Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak postponed a a planned U.S.-Israel military exercise that had been scheduled for May.

It now appears that the United States has almost finalized getting all its ducks in a row in preparation for Israel’s assault on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The Washington Post article makes it clear that the Obama administration will stand by while Tel Aviv leads the attack. The US will only become overtly involved if “Iran hits U.S. assets” or if “Israel’s population centers were hit”.

Obama says U.S. working ‘in lockstep’ with Israel on Iran

President Barack Obama on Sunday sought to reassure Americans over the threat posed by Iran, saying the United States was working “in lockstep” with Israel to bring Tehran to heel over its suspect nuclear program.

Obama said the Islamic republic was “feeling the pinch” of ever tougher sanctions imposed by the international community, and dismissed concerns that Tehran could retaliate by striking US soil, saying such a strike was unlikely.

Memo to President Barak Obama; sir, I do not know if this has dawned on you at all, but you are in an election year, with no apparent challenges as the uncontested Democratic candidate for President.

Rather than you being "in lockstep" with Israel as yet another military misadventure looms large for this country, voters have to ask how "in lockstep" you are with them and this Congress in terms of turning this economy around. And so far, Mr. President, you and this Congress appear pathologically incapable of doing so.

Mr. President, I would strongly caution you that thinking Americans are sick and tired of the cost, in American blood and money spent, and about to be spent, as a sacrifice upon the altar of ultimate Israeli hegemony in the Middle East.

A war against Iran can have horrific and unintended, cataclysmic consequences, particularly if Russia and China enter the conflict on the side of Iran. You are fully aware that the leadership of both countries have gone on record as saying that if Iran is attacked by the US and/or Israel, that they will do so.

So Mr. President, now might not be a bad time to be "in lockstep" with the American people to resolve the real needs and concerns of its citizens, rather than be ready to launch a war against yet another one of Israel's "existential threats".

Romney: Lets Work Together with Israel Because We're Partners

Mitt Romney: “I've also known Bibi Netanyahu for a long time; we worked together at Boston Consulting Group.

Just what this nation needs, another candidate for President waving around his loyalty to a foreign country.

No government can serve two masters. A government that serves Israel cannot, does not, and will not serve the American people. A friend of Israel is no friend to America.

America needs leaders who will put America first, second, and third.

And Mitt Romney just proved he is not that leader.

On U.S. visit, Israel's Lieberman thanks Clinton for resolute stand on Iran

Israel's Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman began a visit to the U.S. on Monday. Lieberman meets with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee John Kerry and Republican Senator John McCain on Tuesday.

Clinton further confirmed the U.S. "unshakable commitment" to the U.S. relationship, not only to security, but also "to Israel's democracy."

Lieberman thanked Clinton for the U.S. resolute stand on the Iranian issue, and said that the U.S.'s recent steps, which included tightening sanctions on Iranian banks, send an important message to the region.

It looks as though the die is cast here, and that there will be a military attack against Iran, probably sooner rather than later.

However, I would strongly caution both the US's Secretary of State, and the Israeli Foreign minister that the American people are completely out of love with the concept of American blood and American money being spent as a sacrifice on the altar of potential Israeli hegemony in the Middle East.

And that Hillary Clinton could, with a straight face, characterize Israel as a "democracy" defies reality in so many ways that I cannot even begin to count them.

What Israel has become, in the 21st century, is a wretchedly apartheid, self-proclaimed theocracy with nuclear weapons.

Embassies in Israel Scramble to Prepare for War

Foreign diplomats stationed in Israel are struggling to make “contingency plans” for the event that Iranian missiles begin flying in retaliation for an Israeli attack, and what they will do not just with their staff, but with their citizens who are in Israel on vacations or business.

The European Union has already conceded that it does not have the means to evacuate all the EU citizens in Israel in a timely fashion if a war breaks out, and the best Israel’s government is offering is a list of public bomb shelters for them to hide in. This is not so reassuring and embassies are likely to be overrun by mobs of their own desperate citizens hoping for safe haven.

It sounds as though there a sense of inevitability in many countries about an impending Israeli military strike against Iran.

I would really like to hope that there are those in the bowels of both Tel Aviv and DC who have the wisdom to call any such attack off.

Obama Imposes Freeze on Iran Property in U.S.

The actions were announced in an executive order signed by President Obama that started the enforcement process for a tough measure he signed into law at the end of 2011. If fully carried out, that measure could isolate Iran’s central bank and effectively choke off the sale of Iranian oil by obstructing the means of payment. Most of the revenue for oil sales by Iran, one of the world’s biggest oil exporters, is processed by its central bank.

These economic sanctions are merely a prelude to an horrendous war which is coming; a war where yet more American blood and money are to be sacrificed upon the altar of potential Israeli hegemony in the Middle East, and US dollar hegemony in the financial world.

All those about to be killed or maimed for life in this conflict are merely...expendable to the powers that be.

Things that make you say hmmmm....Army Reserve MEDEVACS deploy for first time since Gulf War

Since September 11, 2001, over two million Soldiers have been deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, with the exception of the U.S. Army Reserve’s Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) units.

The last time a U.S. Army Reserve MEDEVAC deployed was in 1991 during the first Gulf War. Now the MEDEVACs have been deployed in Afghanistan.

Pentagon Seeks Mightier Bomb vs. Iran

Pentagon war planners have concluded that their largest conventional bomb isn't yet capable of destroying Iran's most heavily fortified underground facilities, and are stepping up efforts to make it more powerful, according to U.S. officials briefed on the plan.

This is a push to justify a nuclear attack because a conventional 30,000 pound bomb is the largest any Air Force airplane can actually carry.

Third Aircraft Carrier Group Coming To Iran

Naval Today reports, the "US navy to deploy third carrier group to Persian Gulf", probably the CVN-77 George H.W. Bush which departed Norfolk two weeks ago

This article does not mention USS Enterprise.

US to send old warship to Persian Gulf

On board of the oldest US aircraft carrier, the USS Enterprise, Panetta told the crowd of 1,700 sailors that the 50-year-old ship is heading to the Persian Gulf region in a direct message to Tehran.

With the collapse of the oil embargo to force Iran into a confrontation over the Straight of Hormuz, the US and Israel are looking for another way to get the long-sought war with Iran started, and more to the point, need to make it look like Iran is starting hostilities in order to make it politically more difficult for Russia and China to support Iran.

Now, recall that Israel has a past history of attacking US warships and framing others to trick the US into attacks on Israel's enemies, with the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty (initially blamed on Egypt) as the most well-known example.

So here we have the USS Enterprise, the oldest carrier in the fleet, on her last legs, scheduled to be decommissioned next year. Her name is well known, in part because of the Star Trek TV series. Decommissioning a nuclear aircraft carrier is a very expensive process. USS Enterprise is powered by 8 nuclear reactors, all of which must be disposed of as nuclear waste material along with all the associated machinery. The US Navy would save a great deal of money, more than the scrap worth of the steel, if USS Enterprise were to be sunk in the Persian Gulf, where the radioactive mess is someone else's problem to deal with.

So, why send an ancient ship at the end of her useful life into harms way? The same reason Franklin Roosevelt moved a bunch of obsolete warships from San Diego to Pearl Harbor, while the newer carriers and warships were well away from Hawaii on December 7th, 1941.

Israel has 3 Dolphin submarines, given to her by Germany. They have been seen transiting the Suez Canal in the past, and could well be operating in the Gulf of Oman, even the Persian Gulf by now, lying in wait for a used-up and obsolete warship, more useful as a sacrificial lamb than an actual weapon, a ship with American sailors, to be attacked as Israel attacked the USS Liberty, then to be blamed on the designated target, Iran, by a compliant media.

If you agree with my analysis, please post the above everywhere you see this carrier story. If we can make them doubt a false-flag will be believed, maybe they will call it off.

More US scrap metal headed for Persian Gulf: how much clearer could it be that a false flag event is planned?

USS Ponce joins USS Enterprise in Persian Gulf

How much clearer could it be that a false flag event is planned?
Further to our earlier discussion about the US having found a way to dispose of its scrap metal and at the same time create a pretext (with the help of Israel?) for WWIII, here is the latest news report (bolding mine):

Pentagon deploys ‘mothership’ to Persian Gulf as tensions with Iran escalate

The Pentagon is rushing a “mothership” to the Middle East to be used by commando teams as unrest in the region heightens, reports The Washington Post.

The U.S. Navy is planning to refit the USS Ponce, an amphibious transport docking ship, which was about to be retired and decommissioned.

Obama uses State of the Union speech to warn Iran to 'change its course' on nuclear ambitions as Europe sends battleships to Gulf

Iran is building a nuclear power station, and the IAEA confirms there is no evidence that Iran is building weapons. Under the terms of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Iran is allowed to have nuclear power, medical isotopes, and other industrial uses of nuclear material. Indeed, under Article IV of the NNPT, the United States is obligated to assist Iran in building their power stations, and were the US in compliance with its own treaty obligations, there would be no question that Iran's power station is indeed nothing more than just a power station. The United States is in violation of its international obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty first by refusing to honor Article IV and second by using the threat of force to coerce Iran to surrender their rights under the NNPT. The United States is legally in the wrong here.

Accusations that Iran is building nuclear weapons are coming from Israel, which in 1981 bombed the Iraq nuclear power station at Osirak under the same claim; that Iraq was building nuclear weapons in a hidden laboratory under the power station. Following the invasion of Iraq, experts from the IAIA carried out a full inspection of the runs of the power station and found no evidence of clandestine weapons facilities in the wreckage. To date, the only known weapons manufacturing plant hidden under a power station is the not-as-clandestine-as-they-hoped weapons lab hidden underneath Israel's own Dimona. In short, Israel is batting zero at correctly identifying weapons labs in other nations and we should not be taking their lead today with regard to Iran.

Finally, we were all tricked into war with Iraq on this very same claim of a threat of nuclear weapons. After smashing that nation and hanging Saddam, no nuclear weapons were ever found. Fool me once ...

As it is now, the US and Israel seem to be playing catch up, casting doubt on the veracity of Israel's claims to "know" that Iran is a nuclear threat.

Israel has denounced the report as "Anti-Semitic (even though Judge Goldstone is himself Jewish), and the United States will block the report from being referred to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague, thereby making the US Government an accessory after-the-fact.

13. Declassified documents from the former South African regime prove not only that
Israel has had nuclear weapons for decades, but has tried to sell them to other countries!

We all need to be Joe Wilson right now. We need to stand up and scream, "LIAR!" at every politician and every talking media moron that is pushing this war in Iran. And we need to keep dong it until they get the message that we will not be deceived any more.

Israel wants to send your kids off to die in Iran, and YOU are the only one that can stop them.

New Military Coalitions directed against Syria and Iran: Leading U.S. Officials Flock To Bulgaria Amid Mideast War Threats

U.S. Secretary of State visited Bulgaria on February 5 to discuss that nation's contribution to NATO's war effort in Afghanistan, the intensification of joint military training and exercises, pressuring the host country into dropping Russian-made arms in favor of Western ones and the further sabotaging of energy deals - natural gas and nuclear - between Bulgaria and Russia.

China's Xinhua News Agency wrote ahead of Clinton's visit that, "Analysts believe there is no doubt that Bulgaria will respond positively to Clinton's foreign policy, even if they are related to the issues in Iran or Syria."

I don't know about you, but I am hearing the very nasty sound of a US/Israeli noose tying itself around geostrategic bases from which to wage a military assault against Iran.

What Happens After an Iran-Israel War?

As quite a few Israeli and American military experts have warned, a military strike on Iranian facilities would not achieve the declared Israeli goal of ending Iran's alleged nuclear military program and the expected costs in terms of Israeli casualties could be very high.

Moreover, if Iran gives the green light to its Shiite Hezbollah allies in Lebanon to attack Israel and mobilize the Shiites in Iraq and the Persian Gulf to retaliate against American and Saudi targets, Tehran would be in a position to strengthen its regional power. The ayatollahs would also be able to exploit an Israeli attack to ignite Iranian nationalism and win support even from those Iranians who actually oppose the ruling clerics and would like to see them removed from power.

No person can serve two masters: and the degree to which US foreign policy is dictated by Tel Aviv is, and has been, absolutely counter to the needs and concerns of ordinary American citizens. This has to stop, and the sooner, the better.

We need a US government which puts those needs and concerns of American citizens first, second, and third, and where AIPAC can exert no pressure for the US government to support geopolitical outcomes which are not in the interests of American citizens.

A war against Iran may well go very badly for the US government; it doesn't have the military manpower, the money, or the manufacturing to bring such a war to a successful conclusion.

Add to that the reality that members of the Chinese and Russian leadership have publicly stated that they will support Iran in the case of any kind of an attack against it, and you have the potential for a world-wide thermonuclear war; the absolute mother of all military misadventures.

AIPAC to Obama: Attack Iran or let Israel do it

The most powerful Zionist lobbying group in the US, AIPAC, is increasing pressure on the administration of Barack Obama to launch a military strike against Iran, a political writer says.

Dear Obama. Let Israel attack Iran, then when Iran retaliates and Israel screams for help, tell them we are busy fixing the problems with this country.

I am sorry Israel cannot get along with their neighbors, but that does not obligate the United States to spend our money and the blood of our children making war on everyone Israel has spent the last 60 years pissing off!

Iran Embargo May Speed Refinery Closures

The European Union’s embargo on Iranian oil threatens to accelerate refinery closures in Europe, the head of Italy’s refiners’ lobby said.

“Asian countries not applying the embargo could buy the Iranian oil at a discount and sell cheap refined products back to us,” Piero De Simone, general manager of Unione Petrolifera, said in an interview in Rome yesterday. “Italy already risks the closure of five refineries and at a European level we’re talking about 70 possible shut downs.”

All the US/EU oil embargo against Iran can do is wreck the already fragile economies of the US and EU. China has already contracted for additional supertankers to bring more of Iran's oil to China, to power their manufacturing growth (and re-sell refined products back to Europe at a huge profit). This is why the US and EU, having hoisted on their own petard/embargo, have to find an excuse to blitzkrieg Iran and take the oil fields, while making it look like Iran's fault, to forestall Russia and China entering the war on Iran's side.

Iran Turns Embargo Tables: To Pass Law Halting All Crude Exports To Europe

In what is likely a long overdue move, Iran has finally decided to give Europe a harsh lesson in game theory. Instead of letting Euro-area politicians score brownie points at its expense by threatening to halt imports and cut off the Iranian economy, the Iranian government will instead propose a bill calling for an immediate halt to oil deliveries to Europe. The move, with most reports citing the Iranian news agency Mehr, has come about in response to the EU agreement to impose sanctions against Iran, which were announced earlier this week. And why not? After all if Europe is indeed serious, sooner or later Iran will be cut off but in the meantime experience significant policy uncertainty, which is precisely what the flipflops on the ground need. The one thing that Europe, however is forgetting, is that all that whopping 0.8 Mb/d in imports will simply find a new buyer.Quickly.

So with China, India and Russia already having bilateral agreements with Iran in place, we are confident that said buyer will have a contract signed, sealed and delivered within an hour of the proposed bill's passage. Furthermore, as
SocGen speculated, the fact that Europe will be even more bottlenecked in its crude supplies (good luck Saudi Arabia with that imaginary excess capacity), and which just may force the IEA to release some more of that strategic petroleum reserve (and thus give JPM some more free money on the replenishment arbitrage) will send Brent to $125-150 - something which Iran will be delighted by. That is of course unless some "experts" discover that Iran may or may not have a complete arsenal of shark with fricking nuclear warheads attached to their heads (despite what Paneta has already said) which gives the US the green light for a full blown incursion, which in turn will send oil over $200, and the world economy into a global coordinated re-depression.
From
Spiegel:

"If this bill is passed, the government will be forced to stop selling oil to Europe before the actual implementation of their sanctions," said Emad Hosseini, spokesman for the Iranian parliament's energy commission, reportedly said. The bill is set to become law on Sunday.

The EU sanctions allow for oil deliveries from Iran until July 1. Any pre-empting of this timescale by Tehran could prove problematic for countries like Italy, Greece and Spain, who would need to urgently find new suppliers.

China, meanwhile, a major importer of Iranian oil, has also criticized the EU sanctions. The Xinhua news agency quoted the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Thursday as saying: "To blindly pressure and impose sanctions on Iran are not constructive approaches."

Many members of the EU are now heavily dependent on Iranian oil. Some 500,000 barrels arrive in Europe every day from Iran, with southern European countries consuming most of it. Greece is the most exposed, receiving a third of all its oil imports from Iran, but Italy too depends on Iran for 13 percent of its oil needs. If this source were to dry up abruptly, the economic conditions in the two struggling countries could become even worse.

Already on Wednesday, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) warned of the economic consequences of the EU's planned embargo. Stopping deliveries from the world's fifth largest producer could drive up the price of oil by 20 to 30 percent.

Perhaps instead of doing its best at crippling the world energy markets, and crushing the global economy, Europe should stick to bailing itself out, and other activities in which it has extensive experience.

Europe Must Choose Between an Iranian Oil Embargo and Default

Experts say that if Iran stops its oil deliveries to the European Union, the EU will need several weeks to find alternative suppliers. Britain and France, to which Iran stopped deliveries on Saturday, February 19, are unlikely to be hit hard, but Greece, which is tottering under the weight of its economic problems and is the largest importer of Iranian oil, will most likely have to declare a default.

So in spite of the bail-out the Eurozone countries have strong-armed Greece to accept, Greece may have to default anyway?!?

Iran Refrains from Oil Delivery to Greece

Greece would be particularly affected by oil sanctions as other exporters have refused to deal with Greek traders. According to official reports, previous suppliers of crude oil, Russia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, have stopped trading with Greece due to precautionary measures in case Greece is unable to pay, even though thus far no payments have been reneged on. But, Iran has extended credit to Greece, which few other oil exporters are willing to do.

Yet, after months of White House pressures on the EU, the European bloc eventually agreed in a ministerial meeting of the member states on January 23 to sanction oil imports from Iran and freeze the assets of Iran's Central Bank within the EU.

Israel tells the US and EU to commit suicide and the US and EU obey!

While oil producing countries like Russia, Azerbaijan and Khazkhstan have stopped selling oil to Greece of fear of not getting paid due to Greece bad credit, Iran extended credit to Greece.

But the sanction by European countries under US pressure, caused Iran to respond in a drastic measure. As a result, oil prices are up, and refineries of importing countries in Europe are going bankrupt.

The cutoff of oil and credit by Iran to Greece as a result of catering to Israel's hatred or Iran could turn out to be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Greece will default, and Europe will get dragged down in the crash, which will then, by way of the credit-default swaps, topple Wall Street.

And all to make widdle Israel happy!

Except it won't work. After Iran is destroyed (if we somehow win WW3) Israel will demand that the US and EU go after Saudia Arabia, then the UAE then ...

But the short version is that in going along with Israel's agenda again Iran, the US and EU may have set the stage for their own economic collapse. Yes, the bankers can print up and loan as much paper money as they want to, but they cannot make oil out of thin air.

Iran sanctions will cause many problems for Italy: Monti

Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti says complying with the European Union sanctions against Iran will cause many problems for the country’s ailing economy.

Speaking to reporters in a joint press conference with the president of the European Parliament, Martin Shulz, in Rome, Monti noted that Italy is grappling with serious economic recession and crisis and cutting Iran oil imports will cause the country to suffer more than other EU members.

The Italian premier added that due to heavy dependence on energy, Italy feels the pinch of Iran oil sanctions more than other European countries, but Rome is unable to disobey certain decisions.

Iran finalizes bill to ban EU oil exports

An Iranian lawmaker says the Majlis (parliament) Energy Committee has finalized a draft bill to stop the country's oil exports to EU member states in reaction to the bloc's recent decision to ban oil imports from Iran.

Nasser Soudani, deputy chairman of the committee, said on Saturday that the double-urgency bill for halting Iran oil exports to Europe had been finalized in four clauses.

“According to one of the main clauses, the Islamic Republic of Iran will halt all oil exports to European countries as long as they continue to ban oil imports from Iran,” he added.

The lawmaker said the bill may undergo further modifications as some Iranian parliamentarians believe that oil exports to EU should be stopped for five years.

If the coming devolution of the Euro won't throw the Eurozone under a bus, this oil embargo most likely will.

The Iranian leadership understands this, but I wish they would have thought it through just a little longer, and for the following reasons.

The next step in retaliation from the West and Israel may possibly be some non-UN sanctioned no-fly/no ship zone to prevent any Iranian oil from reaching anywhere.

For a week now on Oahu, Mike and I have heard highly unusual amount of heavy military aircraft overhead, and US Naval forces are already pre-positioned very close to the Persian Gulf.

Such a "no fly/no shipping embargo will cause the Iranians to close the Gulf of Hormuz in response.

Unfortunately, that is precisely what the US and the UK governments have warned that they will not allow to have happen, but what they desperately want to have happen, in order to blame the Iranians for starting the hostilities leading to a war

India importing Iran oil, slap in face for US: Ex-US Official

Wrong analogy. More like a kick in the @$$!

A former US official says India’s decision to continue importing Iranian crude despite the recent Western sanctions on the Islamic Republic is “a slap” in the face for the United States.

Iran rejects reports on blockade of oil revenues in Europe

An Iranian oil official has dismissed reports that the country’s petrodollars have been blocked in Europe, saying Iran faces no problem in accessing its funds in the European states.

“We [Iran] have no problem receiving funds from crude oil sales to the European countries,” Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Ahmad Qalebani said on Saturday.

He went on to say that the European states willing to purchase the Iranian crude oil must make timely payment for the completed deliveries.

How Iran Changed The World

Imagine this scenario: A developing nation decides to selectively share its precious natural resource, selling only to “friendly” countries and not “hostile” ones. Now imagine this is oil we’re talking about and the nation in question is the Islamic Republic of Iran…

Early news reports on Wednesday claimed that Iran pre-empted European Union sanctions by turning off the oil spigot to six member-states: the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, France, Greece and Portugal.

Will Iran Kill the PetroDollar?

If the US dollar loses its position as the global reserve currency, the consequences for America are dire. A major portion of the dollar's valuation stems from its lock on the oil industry – if that monopoly fades, so too will the value of the dollar. Such a major transition in global fiat currency relationships will bode well for some currencies and not so well for others, and the outcomes will be challenging to predict. But there is one outcome that we foresee with certainty: Gold will rise. Uncertainty around paper money always bodes well for gold, and these are uncertain days indeed.

The sabre rattling against Iran has never really been about an alleged nuclear weapons program; this is all about the teetering insolvency of the US dollar, and what will happen if most countries on the planet decide that they can well live without it.

China, Russia, and India have decided that this will be just fine: one has to wonder who will be next in the race to dump the dollar.

Shevardnadze: Saakashvili and Obama Plotting Attack On Iran

To maintain power, Mikheil Saakashvili may involved in a war against Iran, says ex-Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze.

"I do not rule out that Saakashvili to keep his seat can turn to a military campaign against Iran that would be a disaster for our country," he said, stressing that the issue could be the subject of future negotiations between Saakashvili and U.S. President Barack Obama in the Oval Office on January 30.

"An anti-Iranian campaign should not be conducted on the territory of Georgia," said Shevardnadze.

The objective in Georgia is to prevent Russia from supplying Iran through those tunnels in the Caucasus mountains. It is very costly to supply by air (as the US is re-learning in Afghanistan even now) and Russia only has two practical ground routes open to them to reinforce Iran, one through Georgie and the other through Afghanistan.

Former US Policymakers Promote War on Iran

In 2007, former Senators Howard Baker, Tom Daschle, Bob Dole, and George Mitchell established their Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) imperial project front group.

Among other issues addressed, warmaking’s prioritized. Its board of directors include:

Norman Augustine, former Lockheed Martin chairman and CEO;

General Charles Wald, USAF (ret.);

John Rowe, Exelon chairman and CEO, the nation’s largest proliferator of dangerous nuclear power plants;

Exclusive New U.S. Commando Team Operating Near Iran

Tensions between the U.S. and Iran are at a high point, as the Islamic Republic threatens to close off a vital waterway and two U.S. aircraft carrier battle groups sit in the seas off the Iranian coast. But across the Persian Gulf, the U.S. has a previously unacknowledged weapon in reserve: a new special operations team.

Danger Room has confirmed with the U.S. Special Operations Command that a new elite commando team is operating in the region. The primary, day-to-day mission of the team, known as Joint Special Operations Task Force-Gulf Cooperation Council, is to mentor military units belonging to the U.S.’ oil-rich Arab allies, who collectively are known as the Gulf Cooperation Council. Those Arab states consider Iran to be their primary foreign threat.

Iran To Survive US Oil Embargo

The ongoing US pressure on the European Union, Turkey, Japan, China and India to halt imports of Iranian oil and suspend any related financial transactions is facing resistance by oil importing companies and nations.

Last week India and Turkey refused to sign up to a proposed embargo on the import of Iranian crude, just days after the same had been announced by China.

Iran predicts global oil prices to soar by 50 per cent

Iranian officials predicted that global oil prices would soar by 50 per cent in the wake of EU sanctions as the country's oil minister declared exports to "some countries" would be cut off.

In what will be seen as evidence of brinksmanship, Iran's parliament postponed debate on a proposal immediately to halt oil deliveries to the EU, which accounts for 20 per cent of Tehran's exports of crude.

Despite postponing the parliamentary debate, Rostam Qasemi, Iran's energy minister, promised that exports to some countries, which he did not name, would be ended "soon".

Petrodollar pumping US policy on Iran, backfire looms

As tensions between the US and Iran heat up, author Michael T. Winter believes the main reason behind America’s harsh stance is Tehran’s move to seek an alternative to the dollar as an oil currency.

At the heart of the issue is not Iran’s dubious attempt to build nuclear weapons, or even oil, but how that oil is paid for.

And there, my friends, you have it in a nutshell; this coming war has absolutely nothing to do with Iran's nuclear energy program, but a coming collapse of the dollar, if Iran decides to accept payment in anything but US dollars.

and it looks as though it is doing just that.

Roubini: Iran Conflict Could Spark Global Recession

NYU economist Nouriel Roubini says that a conflict with Iran over its nuclear program that involves Israel, the United States, or both could drive oil prices to $150 per barrel and lead to a global recession, MSNBC reports.

India is the first buyer of Iranian oil to agree to pay for its purchases in gold instead of the US dollar, DEBKAfile's intelligence and Iranian sources report exclusively. Those sources expect China to follow suit. India and China take about one million barrels per day, or 40 percent of Iran's total exports of 2.5 million bpd. Both are superpowers in terms of gold assets.

India delegation to go to Iran to boost oil exports

India will send a business delegation to Iran at the end of February to explore how it can increase exports in order to meet payments for Iranian oil hit by international sanctions, a senior government official said on Thursday.

India, Iran's second-biggest oil client after China, buys 12 percent of its oil needs from the Islamic nation, worth about $12 billion annually.

Last month, Reuters reported that India would pay for some of its oil imports in rupees via an Indian bank, resorting to the partially convertible currency after more than a year of payment problems in the face of fresh, tougher U.S. sanctions.

India and Iran pursue peace and prosperity through commerce while the US Government continues to strangle and starve the world to please oh mighty Israel.

Asia Times: The myth of an "isolated' Iran

Washington continues to push a vision of a world from which Iran has been radically disconnected. State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland is typical in saying recently, "Iran can remain in international isolation." As it happens, though, she needs to get her facts straight.

"Isolated" Iran has $4 billion in joint projects with Venezuela including, crucially, a bank (as with Ecuador, it has dozens of planned projects from building power plants to, once again, banking). That has led the Israel-first crowd in Washington to vociferously demand that sanctions be slapped on Venezuela. Only problem: how would the US pay for its crucial Venezuelan oil imports then?

Much was made in the US press of the fact that Ahmadinejad did not visit Brazil on this jaunt through Latin America, but diplomatically Tehran and Brasilia remain in sync. When it comes to the nuclear dossier in particular, Brazil's history leaves its leaders sympathetic.

Iran Banned From Trading Gold and Silver

China, Russia, India and Iran sign bilateral trade agreements eroding US currency reserve status

Since World War II, the United States has enjoyed the status of having the world’s reserve currency. After the war, the largest industrial nations got together in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire to work out rules for commercial and financial relations. Each nation adopted a monetary policy which tied its currency to the US dollar. At the time, US dollars were convertible to gold on demand, making for a sound currency and system.

In the late 60?s, the costs of the Vietnam war were escalating and France was worried that the US would not be able to cover their debts. French President Charles DeGaulle began converting their US debt into gold. This depleted the US Treasury and in 1971, President Nixon declared “force majeure” and essentially defaulted on US debt. This was done by ending the convertibility of US dollars to gold thus making the US dollar a fiat currency.

Moscow won’t support a “raw” resolution or arms embargo on Syria

Russia’s Ambassador to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin said an embargo on arms supplies to Syria is out of the question – along with any resolution that could threaten to aggravate conflict in the country.

Russia and China are being the "adults in the room" at the UN on this issue.

This is one of the reasons the US is doing everything in its power to destabilize Putin in the next round of Russian elections, and have someone in power more sympathetic to the geopolitical outcomes it wants to see happen.

But here is what I see potentially coming with Syria; without any UN mandate, NATO and the US, which have been doing their best to foment unrest in Syria, will find a way to bring the Assad government down, at an horrendous cost in money and blood.

The idea of the Syrian opposition dancing to a foreign tune has been floated by John R. Bradley, author of the book, After the Arab Spring. He says NATO members are committed to toppling the regime and will make Iran their next target. Bradley points out that two Arab states play a particularly important role in NATO’s plans for Syria. These are Saudi Arabia and Qatar. “Saudi Arabia is financially and politically backing the civilian opposition [in Syria], and Qatar has been widely reported to be funding and arming the jihad rebels who were leading this insurrection,” he said. “We can be absolutely sure that this is nothing to do with human rights when it comes to the West’s concern, and even more sure when it comes to the concern of Saudi Arabia. This is how preposterous the Western media coverage is, of this uprising.”

But the real prize here is Iran. Syria has a mutual defense pact with Iran, and if Syria is attacked by outside elements, Iran is duty-bound to respond militarily. Should this happen, that would be the "justification" for an attack against Iran.

And trust me, such an attack has nothing to do with Iran's nuclear program, and everything to do with Iran's wanting to accept payment for its oil in any currency but that of the US dollar.

Oil Markets Seen Withstanding Iran Attack Shock in Global Investor Survey

More than 70 percent of investors said an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities would create only a short-term disruption in oil markets, according to a quarterly Bloomberg Global Poll.

More than 70 percent of investors said Mortgage-Backed Securities were a good idea, so maybe we should stop listening to these idiots. Money-junkies habitually make bad guesses when their greed gets involved, or have you all forgotten Tulip-Mania, the Great South Seas Company, and the Nation of Poyais?

I view this sudden rush of stories assuring us all that Iran cannot really strike back, and that an attack on Iran will not really disrupt oil supplies, as further signs that the invasion is about to start as soon as they can fake an event to trick us all into going along with yet another war. Just remember these were the same people who insisted Iraq's oil would pay for that war, and that we would be welcomed with flowers as our troops pillaged, murdered, and raped their way across the middle east.

Iran oil ban will up oil prices by 30%: IMF

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says sanctions imposed by the US and European Union on Iran's oil and financial sectors will cause the global oil price to rise by 20-30 percent.

Figures released by Iranian officials show the country's foreign trade has been developing in recent years despite tougher sanctions imposed on Iran's oil and financial sectors by the US and European Union.

CFR Madmen Itching for a Nuclear Armageddon

A few days ago, the U.S. Government officially declared that it is the right time to attack Iran. I am not talking about the bunch of corrupt puppet-politicians in Washington D.C., but about the true government of the U.S.

The January/February 2012 issue of Foreign Affairs, the Council on Foreign Relation’s organ, published an article by Matthew Kroenig under the suggestive and appealing title “Time to Attack Iran. Why a Strike Is the Least Bad Option.”

Kroenig is one of the new ambitious madmen carefully nurtured by the CFR masters as substitutes for the aging Kissingers, Brzezinkis and Cheneys.

Israel told visiting US Gen. Dempsey that Obama would get no more than 12 hours notice before an attack on Iran, the London Times reports.

Mossad Chief Secretly Met With Top U.S. Officials Including Sitting Senators

A clandestine Washington visit by Mossad Chief Tamir Pardo, in which he privately met with multiple Senators and other top officials, was revealed in testimony during a hearing of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence attended by CIA director David Petraeus and Intel Chief James Clapper.

Apparently Pardo and the Senators who secretly met with him believe it imperative to met in secret to discuss Americas backing of an Israeli strike on Iran regardless of the opinion of the American people.

Israeli mainstream media giant Haaretz recently reported on these startling revelations:

Mossad chief Tamir Pardo held secret talks with top U.S. officials in recent days, cursory comments made during a public Senate hearing indicated on Tuesday.

The clandestine Washington visit was exposed during a hearing of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, which was participated by CIA Director David Petraeus, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and Dianne Feinstein, who chairs the Senate panel.

During the meeting, Feinstein asked Clapper whether or not Israel intended to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities, with the top U.S. intelligence official answering that he would rather discuss the issue behind closed doors.

UK jamming IRIB signals from Bahrain

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/221921.html

The signal of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) channels on the Hotbird satellite provider has reportedly been jammed by British technicians operating from Bahrain.

That would suggest the attack on Iran is imminent.

Tragically, this makes sense. The push for sanctions has flopped. With the Asian Dollar Exclusion Zone set to buy Iran's oil without using dollars, this latest war for Israel will destroy the already crippled American and European economies without actually harming Iran. But neither the US nor EU can back off the sanctions because it would be seen as a political failure and more to the point because Israel simply will not allow it, and could care less how supporting nations are made to suffer on the quest for Eratz Israel. That is what the gentiles are for, to quote Gene Simmons. So, immediate invasion is the only alternative to allowing the west collapse from its own corruption and stupidity.

We are now irrevocably on the path to a nuclear WW3, all to please itty bitty Israel.

New War Propaganda: Intelligence Report Says Iran Considering Attack On U.S. Soil!

Intelligence chief: Growing risk of Iran attacking U.S. targets

Nonsense.

What would Iran hope to gain by an attack on the US? Iran is smart enough to know that the American people are weary of war and know that stories of Iran's nuclear threat are no more real than the stories of Iraq's nuclear threat. All an attack would do is anger the American people against Iran and Iran knows better than to do that. So any attack that happens will be a false-flag attack, staged by the US or Israel to be blamed on Iran, similar to when Israel attacked the USS Liberty and initially tried to blame Egypt for it.

IAEA inspectors to return to Iran after 'good' trip

The UN nuclear watchdog said on Wednesday it had held "good" talks in Iran about suspicions Tehran was seeking atomic weapons but more discussions were needed.

The senior United Nations nuclear inspectors went to Tehran on Saturday for talks with Iranian officials on the Islamic state's suspected atomic weapons program, and to try to advance efforts to resolve the nuclear row. Tehran say its nuclear activities are for peaceful electricity generation.

Power-Grid Cyber Attack Seen Leaving Millions in Dark for Months

A blackout that swept parts of North America in August 2003, leaving 50 million people in the dark for as long as four days, provides a glimpse of the havoc a cyber attack could inflict on the nation’s power grid.

Of course, the 2003 blackout was not caused by a cyber attack, but a cyber attack makes a great cover story for a national power grid that has decayed to the point of collapse, along with nuclear reactors that have reached the end of their useful lives and are also facing "involuntary shutdowns" (as just happened in San Onofre). Or, a cyber blackout may be the much-ballyhooed false-flag attack to be blamed on Iran. If Israel's Stuxnet virus made it all the way to Fukushima then it is a given it is all over the United States by now. So, yank the power, blame Iran for it, keep the power off so that the bloggers cannot call attention to the obvious falsehoods being shouted through the battery operated radios and TVs, and kick off the next war for Israel that way!

U.S. Zionist Newspaper Talks of Mossad Assassination of Obama if He Fails their Iran Test

When America beats the drums of war over Iran it may not always be driven by the Islamic state's nuclear intentions. Would-be US presidential candidates aren't shy when it comes to voicing their anti-Iran rhetoric in front of America's influential Jewish community.

Listen to this five minute video. I guess being an "existential threat to Israel" as allegedly Iran is based on the opinion of the editor of an American Zionist newspaper and Mitt Romney is sufficient to be nuked by US and Israel.

Why is it that Israel can have over 200 nuclear weapons but Iran cannot have one. When will people wake up to the outrageously inordinate influence that Israel has over US foreign policy. if we do not wake up soon, we will be involved in world war three.

Atlanta Jewish Newspaper Advocates Mossad Assassinating Obama If Iran Gets Nukes

Don’t think that Atlanta is alone. The Jewish paper in the Five Towns published a similarly disturbing column a few years ago calling for the murder of Muslims. Jews, even rabbis, dream up the most vile, disgusting scenarios for their fellow Jews. In Israel, rabbis call for putting uppity Arabs in concentration camps.

My comment: Had that editor been of a Muslim newspaper, where do you think he would be right now?

Added comment by DC Dave: What emboldens a person like Adler to write such a
thing? Well, he knows the Mossad could get by with it because Israel got
by with killing a lot more Americans on the Liberty, and someone surely got by with assassinating America's leading opponent of the creation of the state of
Israel,
James Forrestal. He also knows that his public entertainment of the idea of assassinating our president will not be publicized and denounced by the American news media, which, if it is not, might as well be run by Israel. Of course, upon the foregoing evidence alone, one could say the same thing for the U.S. government.

Jewish Times Newspaper Publisher Resigns After Writing Israel Should Consider Assassinating Obama

Will the Media Report If Obama is Assassinated by Mossad?

In case you missed it – The Atlanta Jewish Times publisher Andrew Adler, in an editorial on Jan. 13, committed treason when he suggested that Israel’s Mossad should consider assassinating President Barack Obama.

Author, Michael Collins Piper correctly predicted that western media would stop reporting the story that Obama’s life could be in mortal danger from Mossad terrorists inside the United States.

The outrageous silence by a criminally complicit mainstream media is coupled with open acknowledgement that Obama is deeply resented within the Jewish community. Many speak with vitriol that the President presents a serious danger to Jews and to Israel when he holds Netenyahu’s regime to account.

Israeli Assassinations and American Presidents

In reality, however, Adler’s expectation that Israel’s inner circles have explored such a course of action, and would be willing to undertake it, may be entirely accurate. The fact is that Israel has killed and plotted to assassinate people throughout the world; a number have been Americans. One alleged plot was chillingly similar to Adler’s suggestion.

There is evidence that in 1991 an Israeli undercover team planned to assassinate a U.S. president. The intended victim was George Herbert Walker Bush.

Israel reportedly assisted in the assassination of John F. Kennedy because of his refusal to allow Israel to obtain materials needed to build nuclear weapons from the United States.

Are there Israeli assassination teams in the U.S.?

While most commentary has focused on questions about the vitriol towards President Obama in Jewish political circles, whether or not he is a Muslim who hates Israel and wants to see its Jewish character erased, not many are asking the central national security question about if Israeli Mossad agents are based in the United States and what they are doing.

The answer is "Yes", they are here. As to what they are doing, you might ask people like Paul Wellstone about that.

Obama stresses US allegiance to Israel

In his speech to the US congress, Obama highlighted the US loyalty to Israel, saying “Our ironclad commitment -- and I mean ironclad -- to Israel's security has meant the closest military cooperation between our two countries in history.”

"Israel tells us who to kill, and we kill 'em! Simple!" -- Official White Horse Souse

'Obama convinced Netanyahu to give Iran sanctions time'

What this means is that neither the US nor Israel can sell a direct attack of Iran to their people, and becauise of, well, people like YOU, they don;t think a new false-flag will work (you all get cookies). So, attacking Iran is on hold while they go to plan "B", which is to give arms to Syrian dissidents and let them start killing each the, then invade Syria because the people are killing each other, then hope for Iran to honor their treaty obligations and respond to the invasion of Syria, which the US will claim is an attack on America, and the war with Iran/Russia/China goes into high gear.

U.S. Officials Confirm Israeli Mossad Trained Assassins of Iranian Nuclear Scientists

NBC News admits that the statements from U.S. officials concerning Mossad’s training, financing and arming of Iranian dissident groups actually confirm “charges leveled by Iran’s leaders.” Previously the Western media usually dismissed any and all allegations coming from Iranian figures.

Recently I reported on Moshe Ya’alon, Israel’s Vice Prime Minister, and his statements which seemed to lend support to the relationship between Israel and terrorist groups.

The statements made by U.S. officials to NBC News make it quite clear that this is exactly what Ya’alon was hinting at.

U.S. Officials: Terrorist Group Ran By Israel Behind Iran Bombings

U.S. officials tell NBC Israel runs a terrorist organization known to conduct bombings, unconventional warfare, and targeted assassinations throughout the Middle East.

Summary: Airing Date Feb.09, 2012

Deadly attacks on Iranian nuclear scientists are being carried out by an Iranian dissident group that is financed, trained and armed by Israel’s secret service, U.S. officials tell NBC News, confirming charges leveled by Iran’s leaders.
The group, the People’s Mujahedin of Iran, has long been designated as a terrorist group by the United States, accused of killing American servicemen and contractors in the 1970s and supporting the takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran before breaking with the Iranian mullahs in 1980.

The attacks, which have killed five Iranian nuclear scientists since 2007 and may have destroyed a missile research and development site, have been carried out in dramatic fashion, with motorcycle-borne assailants often attaching small magnetic bombs to the exterior of the victims’ cars.

U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the Obama administration is aware of the assassination campaign but has no direct involvement.

For background on the group, some clips from Wikipedia.

People’s Mujahedin of Iran

The People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI, also MEK, MKO) (Persian: سازمان مجاهدين خلق ايران sāzmān-e mojāhedin-e khalq-e irān) is a militant Terrorist organization that advocates the overthrow of the Islamic Republic of Iran[3].

[...]

The group is listed as a terrorist organization by several nations.

The United States, Canada, Iraq and Iran have designated the PMOI a terrorist organization.[13][14] On January 26, 2009, following what the group called a “seven-year-long legal and political battle”, the Council of the European Union removed the PMOI from the EU list of organisations it designates as terrorist.[15][16][17][18]

Interesting how the EU removed the the group from their terrorist list. Might that have anything to do with them knowing the group is an Israeli front?

And here is the BBC running a false report on the group no longer being active.

The group has had thousands of its members for many years in bases in Iraq, but according to the British Broadcasting Corporation “they were disarmed in the wake of the US-led invasion and are said to have adhered to a ceasefire.”[12]

News reports also confirm that the groups works with the U.S. intelligence agencies. So the U.S. is allowed to do business with terrorist organizations but no one else is.

The PMOI and the NCRI claim to have provided the United States with intelligence on Iran’s nuclear program in 2002 and 2008.[19][20]

Here’s a report Council of Foreign Relations meant to mitigate the perceived threat from the group an keep them of the U.S. intellegence radar.

In 2005 the US think-tank, Council on Foreign Relations, believed that the PMOI had 10,000 members, one-third to one-half of whom were fighters. The think-tank claims PMOI membership has dwindled, the organization has had little success attracting new recruits.[27]

Israel used US-supplied bomb to assassinate Iranian scientist.

The United States provided an anti-Iran terrorist group with the bomb used to assassinate Iranian scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan last month, a report has revealed. Two bombs were handed over to the Party for Free Life of Kurdistan (PJAK) in the Iraqi city of Arbil by the Americans, the Resalat daily reported on Monday. The first bomb killed Ahmadi Roshan, but the second one was discovered by intelligence and security personnel around Resalat Square in the capital Tehran, the report said.

Tighter sanctions see Iran default on India rice payments

Iranian buyers have defaulted on payments for about 200,000 tonnes of rice from India in a sign of the mounting pressure on Tehran from a new wave of Western sanctions.

The default prompted the head of the All India Rice Exporters' Association to call on members to stop exports to Iran based on credit, which would be a fresh blow to a country where imports of staple foods are already being hampered by sanctions.

Indian sources said the Iranian buyers had defaulted on payments worth about $144m (£90m) for shipments under long-term supply deals.

A Hockey Star With Principles Refuses To Attend White House Ceremony

WASHINGTON -- Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas declined to attend the White House ceremony with President Barack Obama honoring the team for its 2011 Stanley Cup Championship.

"I know you're all wicked happy to be here," President Obama greeted the Bruins.

But not all were there. The MVP was missing as President Obama praised his performance.

A team spokesman said in an email statement that Thomas opted not to attend the event. Thomas later posted a statement on his Facebook page saying,

I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People. This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government. Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL. This is the only public statement I will be making on this topic. TT"

To bring these basic laws to life, we’ll review the destruction of war’s history, explain the letter of US war laws, explain the philosophy/spirit of US war laws, and make the obvious conclusion once the laws are clearly understood that current US wars are unlawful orders that our military must refuse. US military is bound by their Oaths to the US Constitution to stop War Crimes and Wars of Aggression/Wars Against Peace, and arrest the US political and media “leaders” who lied us into these wars. This crime mass murdered over a million human beings and 5,000 US soldiers.

NATO Opening Gulf Center in Kuwait

Kuwait and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are discussing plans to open a joint center in Kuwait City, a NATO official revealed to AFP on Monday.

The center – which would be the first of its kind in the Gulf – would help bolster relations and cooperation between Kuwait and NATO under the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI).

The initiative was launched at a NATO summit in Turkey in June 2004 in order to provide Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries bilateral security cooperation with NATO.

Kuwait joined the ICI in December 2004, followed by Bahrain and Qatar in February 2005 and the UAE in June 2005.

Memo to the Kuwaiti government; no matter how sweet the deal NATO may be making, please think about this very seriously.

NATO will turn your country into a staging area for more and more military misadventures, like Libya; and we all know how that is working for ordinary Libyan citizens these days!!

China's Hu urges navy to prepare for combat

Chinese President Hu Jintao on Tuesday urged the navy to prepare for military combat, amid growing regional tensions over maritime disputes and a US campaign to assert itself as a Pacific power.

The navy should "accelerate its transformation and modernisation in a sturdy way, and make extended preparations for military combat in order to make greater contributions to safeguard national security," he said.

Given the US recent belligerency in the region, it would be imprudent for China's military to not be modernizing, and developing their weaponry.

Iran’s downing of U.S. drone rattles Washington

U.S. military officials have expressed concern over news reports that Iran recently downed a U.S. spy drone that had violated the country’s airspace.

On Sunday, an unidentified Iranian military source said that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic had downed a U.S. drone along the country’s eastern border, the Fars News Agency reported.

“An advanced RQ-170 unmanned American spy plane was shot down by Iran’s armed forces. It suffered minor damage and is now in possession of Iran’s armed forces,” the source said, according to Fox News.

After drone was lost, CIA tried a head fake

In sports they call it a head fake, leaning in one direction to throw a defender off-balance before heading in another.

The CIA and Pentagon appear to have employed a variation of that move on Sunday, obscuring the agency’s role in operating a stealth drone that was downed in Iran.

Hours after Iranian news outlets reported that the country had recovered a sophisticated American surveillance plane, U.S. officials responded with an apparently deliberate media misdirect.

By Monday, the story had changed. The CIA and the Pentagon continued to deny comment, but other U.S. officials confirmed that the drone belonged to the CIA.

Asked why ISAF issued the statement, the CIA declined to comment.

Iran shows off captured US drone

The RQ-170 Sentinel, supposedly the CIA’s unseen “eye in the sky”, capable of beaming back a trove of imagery and electronic intercepts, was broadcast on Iranian state television.

The aircraft was shown beneath an Iranian flag, apparently intact after crashing 140 miles inside the country last Sunday. State television claimed that an electronic attack had forced it down by overriding flight systems. American officials acknowledged the loss of the aircraft, but said it was more likely the drone had simply crashed.

IF the Iranian military did bring this drone down electronically, that is even a bigger story than the Iranians actually capturing it.

I notice that the (facing us) left bottom of the craft is obscured by a faux American flag, and it could be that the drone had a very rough landing, however, it came down.

Details About Lost Drone Add to Speculation About Covert U.S. War in Iran

When the Iranians captured a downed U.S. Sentinel drone intact, the U.S. lost more than just the technology inside their high-tech spycraft. A secret program to gather intelligence about Iran’s nuclear sites was revealed and the U.S. had to admit they were running spy missions from an air base in Western Afghanistan.

It's the latest in a series of mysterious events, including explosions and assassinations targeting Iran's nuclear scientists and its ballistic missile program.

Some argue that the covert war against Iran's nuclear program is under way, but it began more than a year ago.

'Iran will take legal action against US'

Head of the Iranian Judiciary High Council for Human Rights says the violation of Iran's airspace by an American spy drone is a blatant example of rights violation and legal action will be taken against the US.

Mohammad-Javad Larijani said Sunday that Tehran would be pursing this clear instance of the violation of its sovereignty.

The official added that US intervention in the affairs of other countries is usually accompanied by terrorist measures.

We believe respecting the rights of other nations is a necessity. Today's world will no longer accept US and Western leadership,” he added.

'Iran raising alert amid fears of strike'

Western intelligence officials say Revolutionary Guard deploying artillery amid mounting int'l pressure, 'Telegraph' reports.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard is raising its preparedness for war fearing a strike aftermounting international pressure, and a number of mysterious explosions that rocked different cities in the country, British newspaper The Telegraph reported.

Western intelligence officials said that Iran was deploying artillery and guards to key defensive points, as well as arranging "long-range missiles" and "high explosives" fearing a potential attack, according to the Telegraph.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards prepare for war

An order from Gen Mohammed Ali Jaafari, the commander of the guards, raised the operational readiness status of the country’s forces, initiating preparations for potential external strikes and covert attacks.

Western intelligence officials said the Islamic Republic had initiated plans to disperse long-range missiles, high explosives, artillery and guards units to key defensive positions.

The order was given in response to the mounting international pressure over Iran’s nuclear programme. Preparation for a confrontation has gathered pace following last month’s report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna that produced evidence that Iran was actively working to produce nuclear weapons.

Iran is probably very much right on that there is a covert attempt to destroy their nuclear program.

However, the claim that the Telegraph makes that "...last month’s report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna that produced evidence that Iran was actively working to produce nuclear weapons." is absolutely, abysmally wrong. Just remember the premise upon which we went to war against Iraq; the allegation that Saddam Hussein had "weapons of mass destruction."

The problem with ‘dots’ – and the IAEA had created plenty of them – is that, if there are enough of them, one can create any kind of ‘impression’ you like to suit your propaganda and rhetoric. But, try as hard as they did to suggest otherwise, at the end of the day there is still no hard irrefutable bona fide evidence that says Iran has a nuclear weapons program. What the IAEA seem to have done is drawn the wrong conclusions about the presence of a ‘container’ that they suspect is being used for experiments testing nuclear bomb trigger devices via complex explosive techniques. In reality the ‘container’ is indeed for use in creating complex explosions, but not for triggering a nuclear explosion but, rather, creating nanodiamonds which are used for chemotherapy purposes treating cancer patients – a pervasive health issue in Iran and one of the reasons why they need to enrich their uranium to 20% which can then be used for the creation of isotopes used also in cancer treatment.

Analysis: Israel's Iran strategy: Bombs? Bluff? Both?

Aware of daunting military difficulties and potential for diplomatic and domestic backlash should they try to hit Iran's nuclear program, Israelis have been giving out mixed verbal signals that they hope may both encourage their U.S. ally to up the pressure on Tehran, and unnerve their Iranian enemies.

While a senior U.S. security official has told Reuters that Washington has a "sense of opacity" on what might prompt Israel to strike, few experts doubt Israel's well-funded forces could dent an Iranian atomic development program in which it sees the makings of a mortal threat to its existence.

Memo to the author of this article: the only nuclear-armed country in the Middle East is Israel!

What Iran is doing, with Russia's technical assistance, is building a power plant. The latest inspections by the IAEA have found absolutely zero nuclear material gone walkabout.

Israel wants the US to destroy all its alleged "existential threats" in the region, which includes just about all of its neighbors. Iraq was just the start, from the perspective of Israeli politicians at the time.

The plan for the Iraq war, which has erupted in the face of opposition from the entire world, was drawn up at least decades ago, by Israeli strategists In its attempt to realize its strategy of destabilizing or dividing the Middle Eastern Arab states, Israel has Egypt, Syria, Iran and Saudi Arabia on its list of subsequent targets.

The US was stupid enough to fall for it that time, and we can see just how magnificently well that has turned out for the Iraqi people.
Driving through the tangled mess of police roadblocks and concrete barriers that wall off neighbourhoods in Baghdad, it’s hard to believe this place was once known as the city of peace, and was, until recently, a model of cosmopolitan urbanism. More than eight years have passed since the 2003 US-UK invasion, and the fragmentation of Iraq’s capital mirrors the soul of the nation, still struggling to survive after years of war and occupation. A decade ago, most of the city’s neighbourhoods were mixed. Today, the majority are Shi’a enclaves and a fifth of the Iraqi population remain displaced or refugees.

The US was stupid enough to do it with Iraq; the cost in blood and money has been exorbitant.

And STILL, the official Israeli line is still, "You pay for this war on your own, and kill them for us; let it be your kids doing the fighting, getting maimed for life, and dying- not ours!"

But suddenly, it looks as though Russia is paying attention, and has warned both Israel in no uncertain terms that an attack against Iran would be a "mistake".
Russia and Iran warned the West against a military strike on the Islamic Republic on Monday, saying an attack targeting its nuclear program would lead to civilian casualties and create new threats to global security.

This is one of the reasons we are seeing an attempt by the West to destabilize Putin, after the last elections for the Duma.

If either the US and/or Israel attempt to bomb the nuclear facilities in Iran, we may well expect to see Russia engage militarily on the part of Iran.

War with a nuclear armed Russia over Iran?!? Please; let's hope that those in the bowels of power in DC aren't seriously thinking that this would be a wonderful idea.

Obama Admin Will Seek “International Permission” To Attack Syria, Will “Inform” Congress of Plan

US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta went on the record yesterday with the Obama admins plan to seek international permission for an attack on Syria.

That’s right, rather than get the legal Congressional approval needed for an attack on another country, Panetta has openly admitted that he plans to bypass Congress as long as the international community agrees.

During the hearing Panetta was asked a question by a sitting Congressman whether or not he plans to get permission from Congress.

Syrian forces retook control of Baba Amr neighborhood on Thursday

Syrian government forces have arrested a large number of gunmen with different nationalities in Baba Amr neighborhood in the restive city of Homs.

According to reports many of those detained are Arab nationals, among them Qatari intelligence agents. Others are reportedly from Afghanistan, Turkey and a number of European countries, including France.

The security forces have also seized sophisticated Israeli, European and American-made weapons in the area as well as confiscating made-in-Israel shells, rockets and communication equipment.

Not surprising... Israeli & US Weapons Found in Syria

March 5th 2012 / Prensa Latina News Agency

Damascus, Mar 4 (Prensa Latina) Syrian security forces have found US and Israeli-made weapons among the armaments seized to rebels in anti-insurgent operations, Syrian state media reported.

According to the media, sizable arms cache was found in rural Damascus, Hama and Idleb provinces.

In a farm in Douma, in rural Damascus, police and army forces found an arsenal with 200 assault rifles stored in five plastic containers.

Among the weapons were also US-made Laws or light anti-tank weapon, seven RPG rocket launchers, rifles, Israeli machine guns, DshK munitions boxes, infrared goggles, and backpacks, listed SANA news agency.

Qatar crosses the Syrian Rubicon: £63m to buy weapons for the rebels

Qatar's remarks this week, as well as Saudi Arabia's claim last Friday that arming the Syrian rebels would be an "excellent idea", clearly shows a new reality. The Rubicon has been crossed. Hopes of resolving Syria's raging insurgency through patience, or dialogue, have evaporated.

From the early days of the uprising against Colonel Gaddafi, Qatar was running more weapons to Libya's rebels than any other state. Throughout the war, giant Qatari military transporters regularly disgorged tonnes of weaponry in plain view at Djerba airport in Tunisia, not far from the Libyan border.

McCain calls for US-led strikes on Syria without UN mandate

Who needs diplomacy, or international law? Not former presidential candidate (R-AZ) John McCain, who became the first senator to publicly call for a US-led military strike on Syria in order to halt the nearly year-long conflict there.

British Propagandist in Syria: The Good Guys?

Just in time for the “Friends of Syria” conference led by former imperialists Britain and France who appear to be piecemeal reassembling their empires under the cover of US-led, NATO-backed “revolutions,” the world was treated to a spectacularly timed “casus belli.” It was dubiously reported by Western media that the Syrian government had intentionally shelled the position of British and French journalists in the city of Homs for the explicit purpose of “silencing them.” The reports claimed that the attacks were planned and broadcast over easily intercepted radio traffic picked up by intelligence officers in Lebanon. It would turn out that these journalists had illegally entered the country.

The dead "journalists" were active Propagandists for CIA.

Addounia TV Exposes Insurgents Fabrications about Syrian Government "Massacres" Broadcast by Mainstream Media

Here western media darling "activist" Danny Dayem can be seen ordering those around him to fire while he waits to go live on CNN, in order to back up his false claims that the Syrian government was committing a massacre against civilians in Homs. For more about dubious Danny (to put it mildly), please read here.

CNN Attempts to Counter Scandal Over “Syria Danny” Propaganda

Anderson Cooper attempted, and miserably failed, to mitigate the damage from the discovery that one of the poster boys for foreign intervention in Syria was manufacturing complete propaganda for Western consumption.

The video below is the original video exposing “Danny” as a vicious propagandist actively working against the interests of the Syrian people.

This is just more exploitation of the good intentions of people around the world for nefarious ends.

Syria: Game Over for Western Propaganda

Tony Cartalucci, Contributing Writer
Activist Post

Syrian Activists Caught Lying, Syrian Rebels Caught Committing Atrocities.

Why should the West intervene in Syria when it turns out "activists" giving daily body counts, the sole source of "evidence" for the UN's ever climbing grand total, are caught not only lying, but staging entire interviews complete with fake gunfire directed "off stage?" Why should the US, UK, EU, or the West's stable of Arab proxy-regimes be allowed to arm Syrian rebels admittedly carrying out their own horrific atrocities? Clearly Syria's opposition have turned out, just as they have in Libya, to be craven, murderous, and ultimately deceitful extremists -- making any further contact with them by the West a direct violation of their own national and international laws.

Video: Classic war propaganda - complete with staged-gunfire off camera and the intrepid actor "Danny" relaxed and joking before getting into character to give a hysterical "casualty report" to his co-star, CNN's Anderson Cooper -- just one of many he regularly gives to Western media networks.

The omnipresent "Danny" from Syria has been recently exposed in a video showing him relaxed, joking, and preparing off-camera staged-gunfire, before getting into character for a hysterical "casualty report" given to CNN's Anderson Cooper.

"Danny" isn't the first fraud caught being used by a duplicitous Western media to sell military intervention in Syria, there was also "Gay Girl in Damascus" who turned out to be a 40-year-old American man based in the UK. It is exactly "activist-based" reports like this, that the UN and corporate media have used shamelessly to advocate Wall Street and London's mandates.

Image: Pictured is "Gay Girl in Damascus." Far from an editorial oversight, "Gay Girl in Damascus" was in reality a 40-year-old American man living in the UK. The Western media shamelessly exploited his narrative until it unraveled, and simply moved on to other actors, like "Danny" who directs fake gunfire off-camera while giving casualty reports to CNN.

It was revealed that the UN Human Rights Commission UNHC report late in 2011,
was based entirely on "witness accounts" recorded not in Syria, but rather in Geneva. It was further revealed that the report itself was compiled by a director of a corporate-funded US think-tank representing the collective interests of the very corporations pushing for Syrian "regime change."

Since then, the UNHC has inflated their numbers, and organizations including
Soros-funded Human Rights Watch have likewise weighed in with reports based entirely on "witness" and "activist" accounts, with one exception -- they also include grainy satellite images implying that every pockmark visible, every crater imaged, was the result of Syrian security forces, excluding the possibility that the admittedly armed "Free Syrian Army" may also share responsibility. Many times these casualty numbers are not even phoned in from Syria, but instead based on "third-hand" reports out of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in London.

Despite this, the UN has still admitted that Syrian rebels are likewise committing "abuses" comparable to the "widespread, systematic and gross human rights violations, amounting to crimes against humanity" the UN has accused the Syrian government of, only on a lesser scale. As seen in Libya, the only limiting factor to the scale of rebel atrocities is their ability to move throughout the country with impunity. Just as in Libya, should NATO intervene, the rebels will consolidate their positions and begin systematically advancing on Syrian government positions. The final result will be similar to what was observed in Sirte, Libya, where rebels admittedly cut off food, water, and electricity to the city in an effort to "starve" it out while NATO pounded it from the air.

Image: Homs? What about Sirte? Pictured is Sirte, Libya, after NATO-armed rebels
surrounded it, cut off power, water, food, and emergency aid, and allowed NATO to bombard it with daily airstrikes before a final orgy of death and destruction left its streets and facades crumbling. This is the "civilian protection" the UN and its enforcement arm NATO plan on bringing to Syria.

What was left was a cratered, devastated, wasteland, created by NATO munitions, NATO-armed, funded, and trained rebels, media and diplomatic cover by the West, and UN complicity in direct violation of the very laws they are now selectively enforcing against Syria and its operations in Homs. If it is possible for the international community to justify a foreign military doing what was done to Sirte, Libya in a crowed population center with absolute impunity, how can a sovereign nation seeking to restore order in its own city be criticized let alone sanctioned economically or militarily?

The West has lost all moral authority -- authority that only billions of dollars in manipulative media and military supremacy can buy -- but is easily lost as the facade begins to crumble. How many more Syrian "Danny's" or "Gay Girls in Damascus" are there, staging interviews, fabricating body-counts, and attempting to manipulate the good intentions of millions around the world? How long will the West attempt to convince the world that the Syrian rebels, admittedly armed, admittedly carrying out their own growing list of atrocities, and
clearly infiltrated by Al Qaeda terrorists, are worthy of US diplomatic support, funding, training, weapons, and even US air power?

Most importantly, how long are people going to allow themselves to be lied to, their intelligence insulted, before they decide to speak out, and
commit to sanctioning with boycotts the corporations driving this agenda?

There was no widespread killing in Syria before the US State Department,
John McCain's International Republican Institute, and the National Endowment for Democracy trained, funded, and directed the unrest back in early 2011. Along every step of the way, instability, chaos and death in Syria has been the result of the West propping up these terrorists and perpetuating the deadly conflict as Syria's government attempts to restore order.

With lies, atrocities, and open acts of war the West seeks to complete their predetermined regime change before turning
their deceitful war-machine toward Tehran. But as the facade crumbles, they do so as a naked act of military aggression, as Hitlerian invaders, not hallowed liberators - their crimes, committed before the eyes of an awakening world, will echo through history.

Syrians Overwhelmingly Approve New Constitution

Major media scoundrels can’t bear reporting good news they’d rather suppress, so they downplay and disparage it best they can. More on that below.

On Sunday, Syria’s state TV showed huge pro-Assad crowds in Damascus’ Saba Bahrat Square. By national referendum, they were eager to support constitutional reforms. They also backed state security force efforts against Western-backed killer gangs.

Russian Eurasian Institution head Alexander Doglen also endorsed draft constitutional changes. Islamic scholar Abdul-Rahman Ali al-Dalaa said they boost human dignity and religious freedom.

89% vote in favor of new Syrian Constitution

Syria’s Interior Minister has announced that 89 per cent of those who took part in the referendum have voted in favor of a new constitution. The new law puts an end to five decades of one-party rule among other reforms put forward by President Assad.

Reports: U.S., NATO Allies Preparing For Ground Assault In Syria

The US and other NATO countries could soon launch a ground assault on Syria. The final decision will be made soon, following this week’s Tunis conference where allied countries will meet to discuss possible scenarios of military intervention.

Sources in Washington tell the Israeli news agency Debka that the Pentagon is currently drafting the approach they want America to take in the Syria ordeal, and once it is ready for the president, Obama could approve military action. Debka adds, however, that the decision will also depend on what US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton takes away from this week’s Tunis conference.

IF these reports are true, and there is an outside invasion of Syria, Iran will have no choice but to send its troops into Syria to defend it, in light of the fact that the two countries have a mutual defense pact.

However, the bigger question is, what are Russia and China actually willing to do to stop this, given that both countries' leadership have gone public with statements that should Iran be attacked, they will join the fray militarily on Iran's side.

But should the US and NATO actually launch a pre-emptive ground assault on Syria, does that mean that the US and NATO will find themselves at war with China and Russia, both nuclear armed countries?!?

I would certainly like to hope not; however, unfortunately, rationality and US foreign policy have not had a decent on-going relationship in decades!

'Qatar, KSA seek bloodshed in Syria by arming rebels'

Syria condemns Qatari and Saudi Arabian calls for arming terrorist groups fighting against the government of President Bashar al-Assad as a hostile bid aimed at fueling unrest in the country.

Syrian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Jihad Maqdisi said on Wednesday that by arming anti-government terrorists in Syria the Kingdom and Qatar are only worsening the situation in Syria and therefore more people will be killed.

He also held those countries funding and arming terrorist groups in Syria responsible for the months of deadly violence in the country.

Libyan Gov't to Give $100M to Syrian Rebels

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/153330#.T1BZsvXZpoF

The Libyan government – formerly Libya's opposition forces – has decided to give $100 million in humanitarian aid, including food and medicine to Syria's opposition civilians and activist rebel forces. It was not made clear exactly how the aid would make its way to those who so badly need it.

In addition, Syria's opposition forces have received permission to open an office in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, a government spokesman said Wednesday. The office of the Libyan prime minister, Libyan aid authority and Libyan Red Crescent will be responsible for finding a way to deliver the aid to its intended recipients.

Forgive me, but just where the heck is this 100 million dollars actually coming from, which the Libyan government will allegedly be going to the Syrian rebels?!?

I would certainly like to hope that this money is not coming from the US government, with things so horrendously dicey here.

The Saudi/Israeli Alliance

http://theintelhub.com/2012/02/27/the-saudiisraeli-alliance/

Iran’s Press TV reported yesterday that both the US and the Saudis began funding Syrian rebels eight months ago. After funding Libyan Islamist rebels to overthrow Qaddafi, the Saudis and their fellow Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) despots have moved on in an effort to bring down Syria’s Assad government on their road to Tehran.

Both the Muslim Brotherhood House of Saudi and Cabalist Israel share a long history with their Freemason brethren at British intelligence dating back to the Egyptian Mystery Schools.

'US to announce aerial blockade on Syria'

The Pentagon is readying for the possibility of intervention in Syria, aiming to halt Syrian President Bashsar Assad's violent crackdown on protesters, the newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat reported Saturday, citing a US military official.

According to the official, the intervention scenario calls for the establishment of a buffer zone on the Turkish border, in order to receive Syrian refugees. The Red Cross would then provide the civilians humanitarian aid, before NATO crews would arrive from Turkey and join the efforts.

The measure would pave the way for the US to declare an aerial blockade on Syria.

Please note, as frequently happens with YNET NEWS, this article isn't sourced.

However, IF this information is true, any American, "lone wolf, pre-emptive aerial blockade" may well be the trigger mechanism the US is hoping to use to goad Iran to send troops into Syria, thus providing the "justification" for a war against Iran: Iran and Syria have a mutual defense pact.

However, I would like to hope that those in the bowels of power in Tel Aviv and DC do not forget that 3 nuclear armed countries, Pakistan, China, and Russia, have had their leadership publicly state that if Iran is attacked, they will go to its aid militarily.

So what we may be looking at is a global, thermonuclear war over an alleged Iranian nuclear weapons program which, to date, cannot be proven to exist.

Warships sail to Syria

A flotilla of Iranian warships crossed the Suez Canal and docked at the Syrian port of Tartus on Saturday. Iran's Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said the mission displays Iran's "might" despite 30 years of relentless sanctions.
Egypt never allowed Iranian warships to cross the Suez until February last year following the overthrow of the Hosni Mubarak regime when, undeterred by the diplomatic pressure from the US and threatening noises from Israel, Cairo allowed an Iranian destroyer to pass through. Israel called it a "provocation".

According to a recent report published by the Arabic Nakhel news agency, the Salafists have been stationed in Mafraq and Ramtha under the “pretext of receiving medical treatment” in Jordan.

UN Vote Seen as Stepping Stone Toward Military Intervention in Syria

The support by the United Nations General Assembly for the Arab League call for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step down on “humanitarian” grounds brings military intervention one step closer. The 137-12 vote, with 17 abstentions, is non-binding, but it gives a UN imprimatur to the Arab League proposal for regime-change that was blocked on the Security Council by Russia and China.

Rather than direct involvement, numerous political figures, newspapers and policy bodies are advocating arming the opposition Free Syrian Army as a preparatory step towards declaring “buffer zones” and “humanitarian corridors.” This would necessitate NATO bombing, fronted by one or more local proxies led by Turkey and the Gulf states.

When Western military intervention begins, Iran is treaty-bound to assist the Assad government, due to a mutual defense pact, signed some years ago.

That, of course, will give the US and Israel the "causus belli" for declaring war against Iran.

UN Passes Resolution Calling For Syria Regime Change, Russia Threatens Military Intervention

Despite objections rebel violence is being ignored and threats Russian Military intervention, the UN passes a resolution calling for regime change in Syria.

Earlier today another US backed resolution on Syria was submitted to the UN. The resolution follows the same language as the one Russia and China vetoed just weeks ago, again failing to officially acknowledge violence is being perpetrated by rebel forces. Today's resolution was passed by the UN general assembly, where no one has veto power. Russia is beating their chest in protest, vowing they will not allow Syria to suffer the same fate as Libya.

US, EU, Arab States Push for UN ‘Peacekeeping’ Forces in Syria

The nations making up the “Friends of Syria” group meeting in Tunisia are expected to call for the United Nations to send “peacekeeping” forces if and when the Assad regime agrees to a cease-fire.

The meeting in Tunis was basically an effort to get around the established legal means of international intervention, which was blocked by Russia and China at the UN Security Council. Still, any kind of military intervention is likely to have terrible effects that would escalate the violence.

Could someone please explain to me how the heck the US, EU, and Arab States are going to get Russia and China to buy off on this?

The whole notion of "peacekeeping forces" here is a cruel joke, as much of Syria has been transformed into a war zone, courtesy of outside mercenaries and guerrilla forces. I am not betting that Assad will buy off on this at all.

The only option left, then, for the US, EU, and Arab nations is arming the "rebels" to the teeth, and become complicit in creating a bloodbath that will ultimately result in a civil war.

But the US wants outside military intervention in Syria, to which Iran will have to respond militarily, because the two nations have a mutual defense pact.

Consequently, a war against Iran could then be "justified" by the Iranian military's response to outside intervention in Syria.

It will be interesting to watch just how the US government gets the "outside intervention" it wants to have happen as its justification for an attack against Iran.

Obama Commits to US Intervention in Syria

In a White House speech today, President Obama committed to continued US intervention in Syria, saying that the US would “beef up its role” and would not allow itself to be “bystanders during these extraordinary events.”

Publicly, it has meant endorsing a UN invasion of Syria as well as joining the “Friends of Syria” group that is talking openly about the prospect of funneling arms to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) faction of defectors.

The much scarier question is the unanswerable one of what is going on behind the scenes.

I have to wonder just how the White House believes that it can pull off a UN "invasion" of Syria, when Russia and China will not support this, considering the degree to which both countries are still smarting after having signed off on the UN mandate in Libya, and what the consequences of that have been.

State Department quietly warning region on Syrian WMDs

http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2012/02/24/exclusive_state_department_quietly_warning_region_on_syrian_wmds

The State Department has begun coordinating with Syria's neighbors to prepare for the handling of President Bashar al-Assad's extensive weapons of mass destruction if and when his regime collapses, The Cable has learned.

This week, the State Department sent a diplomatic demarche to Syria's neighbors Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia, warning them about the possibility of Syria's WMDs crossing their borders and offering U.S. government help in dealing with the problem, three Obama administration officials confirmed to The Cable. For concerned parties both inside and outside the U.S. government, the demarche signifies that the United States is increasingly developing plans to deal with the dangers of a post-Assad Syria -- while simultaneously highlighting the lack of planning for how to directly bring about Assad's downfall.

Syria is believed to have a substantial chemical weapons program, which includes mustard gas and sophisticated nerve agents, such as sarin gas, as well as biological weapons. Syria has also refused IAEA requests to make available facilities that were part of its nuclear weapons program and may still be in operation.

"I went out to the street when I heard there was a demonstration, but I didn't see anyone," he said. "A large part of the pictures and reports from Syria are not reliable, at least that was our impression."

Another student, Wissam Safdy, agreed. "I went to the al-Mazzah neighborhood in Damascus when there were reports of demonstrations, but I didn't see anything," he said. "We don't know what's happening, but in Damascus things are calm, and the prevailing feeling is that in the end Syria will come out of this crisis."

Resource Rapture: Syria’s Untapped Assets Desired By Allies And Enemies Alike

Gulfsands, Shell and other parties showed much interest in Syria’s newly discovered oil fields. It is not surprising to see that sanctions came just in time to halt further inquiry and inspections. Russia’s former energy minister Yuri Shafranik and his business partners attempted a hostile takeover of Gulfsands Petroleum. They must have known that the cousin of Syria’s president Rami Makhlouf was already cutting a deal with Gulfsands for the rights although Rami’s company was slapped with EU sanctions. There is more skulduggery afoot but those oil and gas contracts may be taken by force.

France’s secret war against the Syrian people

During the assault on the rebel stronghold in the Homs district of Bab Amr, the Syrian army took more than 1,500 prisoners, mostly foreigners. Of these, a dozen French nationals requested the status of prisoner of war, refusing to give their identity, rank and unit of assignment. One of them is a Colonel working for the DGSE transmission service.

Chossudovsky: NATO Supporting Armed Insurrection in Syria

The director of the Centre for Research on Globalization, Michel Chossudovsky, says that the new round of sanctions is just another step toward a NATO-led military intervention in Syria.

"It is a part of a road map which eventually is intended to lead into some kind of military intervention," Chossudovsky claimed. "I think what is happening now is the sanctions stage of something which has been planned... which according to many analysts is a military intervention in Syria -- which in essence would engulf the whole region."

Red Cross enters Syrian city of Homs, negotiates evacuation of wounded

Red Cross aid workers entered a besieged neighborhood in the Syrian city of Homs Friday and are negotiating with authorities and rebels to evacuate all wounded, including two Western journalists, a spokesman said.

"The effort to evacuate the reporters … who were injured in a government attack that killed American war correspondent Marie Colvin and French photographer Remi Ochlik … is part of a wider international push to bring aid to people in the areas hardest hit by Syria's efforts to quash the uprising against President Bashar Assad's rule," the spokesman said.

This is one note of hope here in an otherwise desperate situation.

Iranian warships dock at Syrian port after crossing Suez Canal

Press TV reports the arrival of two Iranian warships at the Syrian city of Tartous; crossing of the Suez Canal is the second in a year by Iranian warships.

Iran is showing solidarity with Syria, but of course that is what Israel and the US really want. The goal of the attack on Syria isn't Syria but opening the door to war with Iran!

Assad sets Syria vote to end Baath rule

Syria’s president decreed a vote this month on a new constitution that would effectively end nearly 50 years of single party rule, state media said, as troops reportedly stormed centres of dissent.

A day after flatly rejecting UN allegations of crimes against humanity, Bashar al-Assad called the ballot for February 26, in a move clearly aimed at placating growing global outrage over the bloodshed.

Under the newly proposed charter, freedom is “a sacred right” and “the people will govern the people” in a multi-party democratic system, state television said.

THIS is huge news for Syria and its people.

Of course, there has been absolutely no mention of this - that I have seen - on the corporate TV news.

Unfortunately, it will not be enough for those outside elements seeking to topple Assad and isolate Syria from Iran.

In fact, the date of 26 February (that's 11 days from today) for this vote may accelerate these destabilization efforts to prevent such a vote from happening.

Pakistan allies with Iran against US

Pakistan has pledged to support Iran if the US launches a military attack against the Islamic Republic. The Pakistani president assured the Iranian leader that his country’s territory will not be used as a launch pad for such an assault.

Should the United Stated decide to attack Iran, Pakistan will not support the move and will not allow the US to use its local airbases for military operations, the Pakistani leader Asif Ali Zardari said on Friday.

ICRC fails to evacuate wounded journalists from Homs

The Red Cross Saturday failed to agree a deal to evacuate wounded Syrians and Western journalists from battered Homs city as regime forces killed dozens more civilians on the eve of a constitutional referendum.

In Homs, the International Committee of the Red Cross said negotiations with the authorities and opposition groups to resume evacuations from Baba Amr, where two wounded Western journalists are trapped along with the bodies of two killed colleagues, failed.

I don't know know what terms and conditions the ICRC presented to the Syrian government; however I suspect that they were too arduous for Assad to approve of or accept, and the increasingly bloody outcome was precisely what the US, the EU, and NATO wanted to have happen.

Anti-Assad Propaganda Assault Heats Up With Claims of WMDs

Yesterday, Wired blog Danger Room’s senior reporter Spencer Ackerman put out a piece that reads like pure propaganda that lead up to the invasion of Iraq.

Ackerman even draws the obvious parallels between Saddam Hussein, although he fails to point out that maybe this is exactly like Iraq and Syria doesn’t have any chemical weapons at all.

He claims that the United States is becoming increasingly worried “about his apparent stockpiles of mustard gas and nerve agents.”

China Scolds U.S. For Deploying Military Drones Over Syria

China warns the US to respect Syrian sovereignty after reports revealed the military deployed a number of unmanned military and intelligence drones for operations in Syrian skies.

Iran’s official news agency reported earlier, quoting NBC news, that US military drones are now operating over Syria skies following Iran’s deployment of 2 naval ships to Mediterranean — which has Israel’s military on high alert .

Following those reports, China has sent the US a firm warning to respect Syria’s sovereignty while asserting they “do not approve of armed intervention or forcing so-called “regime change””

Syria's crisis is leading us to unlikely bedfellows - The Telegraph

The situation could hardly be more dangerous or more complex. Yet, in recent public pronouncements David Cameron has repeatedly spoken of the conflict in Syria as a struggle between an illegal and autocratic regime at war with what he likes to call “the people”. Either he is poorly briefed, or he is coming dangerously close to a calculated deception of the British public. For the situation is far more complicated than he has admitted. It is far from obvious, for example, even that a majority of Syrians are opposed to the Assad regime. Russia calculates that perhaps two thirds of Syrians are still broadly supportive, and it is worth recalling that Russia was a more accurate source of information in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq than either Britain or the US.

However, all doubt ended last week when James Clapper, director of US national intelligence, informed the Senate Armed Services Committee that the Damascus bombings “had all the earmarks of an al-Qaeda attack”. Mr Clapper added that “we believe al-Qaeda in Iraq is extending its reach into Syria”. So, it’s official. Al-Qaeda is acknowledged as an ally of Britain and America in our desire to overturn the Syrian government.

Think about it. Ten years ago, in the wake of the destruction of the Twin Towers, we invaded Afghanistan to eliminate al-Qaeda. Now the world’s most notorious terror organisation wants to join a new “coalition of the willing” in Syria (not just al-Qaeda: yesterday the Muslim group Hizb ut-Tahrir staged a march through west London in support of their Syrian brothers and the establishment of the Khilafah state).

This may be the most profound turnaround in global politics since the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact of 1939 converted Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany from bitter enemies into allies – and it is important to understand that the affinity of interests between al-Qaeda and the West extends far beyond Syria. Britain, the United States and al-Qaeda also have a deep, structural hostility to President Assad’s biggest sponsor, Iran.

Meanwhile, in Libya there are menacing signs that last year’s Anglo-French intervention is starting to go wrong. The toppling of the Gaddafi regime has not brought an end to the killing. If anything, the fighting appears to be getting worse, as the country breaks into hostile armed fractions – a fertile hunting ground for al-Qaeda, our latest collaborator in the war on terror. I hope that the Prime Minister and his Foreign Secretary, William Hague, know what they are doing as they allow Britain to be dragged closer towards further intervention in the Middle East. But judging from their public remarks they may be playing a game whose rules they do not fully understand.

Of course, it remains the case that we have different methods and contrasting ideals. But we share unnervingly similar short-term objectives. Although it is unlikely that Britain and America have significant direct dealings with al-Qaeda, it may be that some of our allies do.

Let’s consider for a moment one of the most glaring hypocrisies of American foreign policy: the differential treatment between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Washington never ceases to complain about the connection between the Pakistani intelligence services and the Taliban. But we never hear a whisper of concerns about the connection between Saudi intelligence and Salafi movements across the Middle East, of which al-Qaeda is the best known offshoot.

For months, the region has been alive with rumours that al-Qaeda and other Sunni fighters have been sneaking into Syria through Lebanon and Turkey. Many of these extremist Sunni infiltrators fought with al-Qaeda in Iraq before being driven out and taking refuge in the Lebanon. It is likely that they are backed with money and arms by Saudi interests, and inconceivable that they could act without the knowledge, and perhaps the assistance, of Saudi intelligence.

US Officials Tie Terror Group to Syrian Bombings

Top U.S. intelligence officials told Congress Thursday that al-Qaida of Iraq was likely behind a series of bombings against the Syrian regime in recent months.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said bombings against security and intelligence targets in Damascus and Aleppo bear “all the earmarks of an al-Qaida-like attack”, leading the U.S. intelligence community to believe the Iraqi militant branch is extending its reach into Syria. Al-Qaida of Iraq is one of al-Qaida’s largest regional affiliates.

Syrian rebels gun down legal officials

DAMASCUS, Syria, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Syrian anti-government rebels staged three assassinations Sunday, killing two legal officials and an aide, state media reported.

The state-run Syrian Arab News Agency said the attorney general of the province of Idlab, a judge and a driver were killed by gunfire in their car on their way to work.

U.S. closes Syria embassy, pulls out all staff

The United States closed its embassy in Syria and pulled out remaining staff on Monday over serious security concerns as President Bashar al-Assad’s regime intensified its bloody crackdown.

US President Barack Obama stressed it was important to resolve the ongoing conflict diplomatically, framing it as very different from the situation in Libya, where Western military intervention helped oust Moamer Kadhafi.

So, the US has closed its embassy in Syria; such an act is normally a prelude to some kind of major military attack happening against whatever country out of which we've pulled our diplomatic staff, no matter how often the words "diplomatic solution" are used.

Syria resolution has no chance, says Russia

Russia understands that the Syrian "resistance" are actually Mossad and CIA agents provocateurs working to overthrow the Syrian government by provoking a response that can be used to justify regime change.

Hillary Clinton to UN: Stand with Syrian people or be “complicit” in crackdown

Translation: "Stand with our agents provocateurs as we crap all over another one of Israel's enemies!"

Arab ministers to meet over escalating Syria crisis

Arab League foreign ministers will meet on Sunday in Cairo to discuss their next move over the Syrian crisis with the bloodshed showing no signs of abating, even spilling over into Lebanon.

The Arab League foreign ministers meeting in Cairo on Sunday follows a meeting of the six-nation energy-rich Gulf Cooperation Council.

Earlier this week the Gulf monarchies said they would withdraw their envoys from Syria and expel Damascus’s ambassadors, joining mounting international pressure on Assad over the killings of civilians.

Syria, meanwhile, said it has asked Tunisia and Libya to close their embassies in Damascus in a tit-for-tat move after they both expelled Syria’s envoys.

The Turkish aid request at the UN is about to go over with that body just as well as would a bad trick cigar, because neither Russia nor China at the Security Council level will sign off on anything that remotely smells like an "RTP" resolution (Responsibility to Protect), because of what happened with Libya.

It has been reported that British Special Forces are directing the military activities of the rebels in Syria, and that Western and Israeli weapons are being provided to the rebels here. Look for more of the same, in light of the fact that NATO is going to be cautious about being seen going head to head with Russia, which has warned very sternly about any outside intervention in Syria.

What we are most likely to see, then, is a slow-motion bloodbath of a civil war, where ultimately, Assad either resigns, or is removed from office.

Iran is going to be reluctant to move against an "internal unrest" against Syria, and therefore will not be supplying troops to assist in quelling that unrest. To date, there have been no verifiable reports of Iranian troop movements inside Syria, only unsourced reports of technical assistance to the Assad government.

As part of an attempt its mission to spread its influence across the Middle East, Tehran is also examining ways of helping Shia populations in Bahrain and Yemen rising up against their rulers. "We believe that Iran is materially assisting the Syrian government in its efforts to suppress their own people," an Obama administration official told the Wall Street Journal. Assistance has included equipment and technical advice on blocking and monitoring communication between dissidents, and drew on the Iranian authorities' own experience of putting down an uprising that followed the June 2009 disputed election.

ACTIVE WAR PLANS: Pentagon plans US-backed War against Syria

A military strike would be coordinated with Turkey, the Gulf States and the NATO powers, according to reports that acknowledge such plans officially for the first time. The plan is described as an “internal review” by Pentagon Central Command, to allow President Barack Obama to maintain the pretense that the White House is still seeking a diplomatic solution.

This is considered vital, as military intervention would most likely be conducted through various Middle East proxies, which the US and NATO could then back with airpower. Turkey and the Arab League states, led by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, do not want to be seen for what they are: stooges of the US. Deniability for them therefore requires the US to conceal the full extent of its involvement.

This operation, if successful, will be "Libya Redux", done in open secrecy, but in a way which gives the US and NATO plausible deniability against direct involvement.

However, the outcome will be much the same as it was with Libya; continued unrest, the destruction of infrastructure, and a with a "regime changed" government, thoroughly impotent to address the real concerns and needs of the Syrian people.

U.S. military beginning review of Syria options

The US is coming up on another economic crash, and this one will make 2008 look like a slight hiccup. Had the US done what Iceland did and thrown the crooked bankers behind the mortgage-backed securities fraud, the US economy (and indeed Europe as well) would be on the way up. But corruption and politics prevailed, the bankers went unmolested and Obama is even now trying to force through his foreclosure settlement to bury the last of their crimes even as the total cost of buying back all that bad paper and clearing up the credit default swaps comes crashing down on us all.

So right now the US Government needs a major war to blame the coming bad times on. "Sorry there is no gas, but you know there is a war on!" "Sorry there is no food, but you know there is a war on!" "Sorry there is no medical care, but you know there is a war on!" "Sorry there is no [insert basic necessities of life here], but you know there is a war on!" Yadda yadda yadda. Absent a major war, the people of the United States will rightly blame the federal government for the horrendous mess they made looking the other way while Wall Street committed the biggest financial swindle in history, then tried to shift the losses onto the people. So the Federal Government needs a war and they need it right now, because after all, they evaded the blame for the crash of 1907 by getting into WW1, they evaded the blame for the crash of 1929 by getting into WW2, so it stands to reason they will evade the blame for the crash of 2008 by getting into WW3. After all, it worked before, and it isn't their children being blown to bloody bits.

The plan was to invade Iran, but in order to keep Russia and China out of the war, it has to be Iran's fault. Plans for a false-flag appear to be on hold because 99% of the world's population are expecting either the US or Israel to try a stunt like that. So plan B is in effect, which is to start a war with Syria and hope Iran honors its treaty obligations and comes to Syria's aid. The US media will spin this as an Iranian provocation, and blame Iran for the resulting regional conflict, urging Russia and China to mind their own business.

The problem is that Russia and China have played Neville Chamberlain to the US' Hitler for far too long and like that poor fool now understand that conquerors never stop themselves; they must be stopped while it is still possible to do so.

Which is why we face a nuclear conflict if We The People forget that this is really our country, and ultimately the master of its fate.

NATO’s Secret War on Syria

by Stephen Lendman

In January, Michel Chossudovsky reported British media confirming UK/CIA/MI6 operatives in Syria training anti-Assad Western-backed insurgents. They’re also supplying them with arms, ammunition, and equipment.

“These reports confirm unequivocally (they’re illegally) interfer(ing) in the affairs of a sovereign state. This is not a popular uprising. The insurrection as well as the killings of civilians were sponsored by the Western powers from the outset.”

More on this below. Events replicate the Libya model a year earlier.

Heading for War on Syria

by Stephen Lendman

Washington’s longstanding policy is regime change in Iran and Syria. At issue is replacing independent regimes with client ones and securing unchallenged control of valued Middle East resources.

On February 4, Russia and China vetoed a largely one-sided anti-Assad resolution. A previous article called him more victim than villain. Yet he’s falsely blamed for months of externally generated violence.

In fact, he confronted a Western-backed armed insurgency replicating the Libya model. By so doing he acted responsibly against a heavily armed insurrection.

Imagine a similar scenario in America. Local police, National Guard forces, and Pentagon troops would confront it violently. Combined, they’d way exceed Assad’s response.

Report: Israel will ask to station IAF jets in Cyprus

Israeli and Cypriot officials are planning to discuss allowing the Israeli Air Force to station jets in the neighboring island, Chinese news agency Xinua reported Tuesday.

The issue will be raised during Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's scheduled visit to Cyprus later this month, Xinua quoted Israeli officials as saying.

Let's look at a map, shall we?!?

Cyprus, is the 3rd largest Mediterranean island - covering 9,251 square kilometers, 240 km from west to east and 96 km from north to south - with a population of approximately 800,000. Being at the cross-roads of three continents - Europe, Asia and Africa - it has one of the oldest histories of the world, dating back 9000 years

Should Netanyahu get a "yes" on this request, it will be a difficult task for Syrian air defenses to really get a bead on where oncoming aircraft is coming from, if Israeli jets are potentially attacking from Cyprus.

And remember: any outside attacks against Syria mean that Iran is treaty bound to come to Syria's aid militarily. That means that Israel and the US have their "justification" for an attack against Iran.

'Eshel will prepare perfect attack plan'

Hours after it was announced that Defense Minister Ehud Barak has approved IDF Chief of Staff Maj.-Gen. Benny Gantz's decision to appoint Major-General Amir Eshel as the next IAF commander, colleagues congratulated the decision, saying he is the right man for the job.

Referring to the possibility that Eshel would be the one overseeing an IAF military strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, the officer said: "He'll know how to prepare the forces in the most meticulous and perfect manner, and lay out all the possible scenarios and chances of success."

Memo to Major-General Amir Eshel: if your capabilities to "...prepare the forces in the most meticulous and perfect manner, and lay out all the possible scenarios and chances of success." are all that acute, I beg you, then, to tell your Prime Minister to stop this madness of preparing for a military attack against Iran.

The potentially horrific unintended consequences of such a military misadventure may well plunge the entire world into a nuclear war, a war from which no country may well emerge the victor.

VIDEO - Israël annonce avoir des contacts avec l’opposition syrienne

Contrairement à ce qu'a dit Obama (pour apaiser et conforter les sionistes), les USA ne sont PAS totalement avec Israel dans cette affaire:
"US Iran Policy in Lockstep With Israel"? (...) Didn’t the US just send Gen.Martin Dempsey, chairman of the US Military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, to Israel to tell that country’s leaders that the US does not want Israel to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities. And wasn’t Israel also told that the US would not support it in any attack on Iran, at least if the US was not warned well in advance? Israel, of course, is continuing to threaten to attack Iran -- using the very planes and bombs that the US provides it with. So how exactly is opposing an attack by Israel and having Israel continuously threatening to attack in any way to be construed as working in “lockstep”? (...) The president’s position as stated yesterday is a hodgepodge of confusion and self-contradiction.

FLASHBACK - Syria seizes Israeli weapons

The Syrian security forces have seized Israeli weapons from armed groups responsible for the killing of hundreds of people across the country.

The Syrian envoy to the Arab League (AL) made this announcement at an emergency meeting at the 22-member body's headquarters in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Sunday.

Youssef Ahmad said, "They are Israeli made automatic weapons. This is proven and we'll show it on TV channels," Syrian state television reported.

“These are the weapons used by the armed opposition to kill the sons of our nation.”

Mainstream Reports: The U.S. and Israel Support Terrorists

The Mujahideen e Khalq (MEK) … along with its political arm, the National Council of Resistance in Iran (NCRI), is listed by the U.S. State Department as a terrorist organisation.

Interestingly, the Bush Administration – and especially Dick Cheney – helped to fund the MEK (see confirming articles here and here).

And the New York Times, Washington Post and others are reporting that Rudy Giuliani, former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, former national security adviser Fran Townsend and former Attorney General Michael Mukasey are supporting the MEK as well.

U.S. Official Warns "International Militarization" Of Syria Growing Closer

As widespread evidence emerges that the U.S and Israel are arming rebel Al-Qaeda forces in Syria, the White House is now openly admitting that a NATO attack on Syria is growing closer.

Mossad vs Assad? 'CIA death squads behind Syria bloodbath'

Moscow has accused the west of stirring up tensions in the Arab world by calling for the overthrow of the Syrian regime. Russia says calls from certain states for the Syrian opposition to avoid dialogue with the government, are only provoking further violence. Author and journalist Webster Tarpley, who's in Damascus, says, it's very simple, western powers are behind the violence in Syria.

Israel Lobby Pushes for US Action Against the Syrian Government

In Russia Today’s recent Crosstalk program on Syria, guest James Morris
was brave enough to incisively point out the taboo fact that the Israel
lobby has been in the forefront in pushing a hardline interventionist
approach for the US toward that divided country. The host and the two other guests on the show pooh-poohed the idea on the grounds that (in their minds) it would not be in Israel’s national interest to topple the secular Assad regime and possibly bring about an Islamist state that could be even more hostile to Israel. But when one moves from speculation to an analysis of the actual position of members of the Israel lobby, one can see that Morris was completely correct.

Zionists Use al Qaeda to Attack Syria

It came as no surprise to students of Middle East history yesterday when al Qaeda leaderAyman al-Zawahiri called for the ouster of Syria’s “pernicious, cancerous regime,”. Progressive Syria has been targeted by al Qaeda in the past, and is currently under attack by Islamists from the CIA/Mossad-trained Free Syrian Army.

When al-Zawahiri headed Egyptian Islamic Jihad in 1984, Reagan’s CIA brought his mujahadeen buddy Ali Mohammed to the US where was put to work training Afghan terrorists in Brooklyn and Jersey City on weekends. During the week he instructed US Special Forces at Fort Bragg. In 1998 he helped bomb the US Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. Blowback’s a bitch.

Setting The Precedent: NATO may use R2P to intervene in Syria

If the Syrian regime’s violent crackdown on the civilian protest movement triggers a massive humanitarian crisis, forcing millions of refugees to flee to Turkey’s southern border, some analysts claim this would potentially constitute an Article V situation, which could lead Ankara to call for a NATO collective defense initiative.

In an interview with Sunday’s Zaman last week, ?lter Turan, professor of political science at ?stanbul Bilgi University, claimed that “any decision on Syrian intervention that is not backed by the UN would be not a legal, but a political, choice.”

Well over a month ago, Russia was already claiming that NATO was setting up just such a scenario.

“We are getting information that Nato members and some Persian Gulf States, operating according to the Libya scenario, intend to move from indirect intervention in Syrian affairs to direct military intervention,” Nikolai Patrushev, the head of the Kremlin security body said in an interview published in Russia’s Kommersant newspaper on Thursday. “This time it is true that the main strikes forces will not be provided by France, the UK or Italy, but possibly by neighbouring Turkey which was until recently on good terms with Syria and is a rival of Iran with immense ambitions.” America and Turkey were even now possibly already refining options for a no-fly zone that would allow armed Syrian opposition fighters to mass in the designated areas, he added. Mr Patrushev, a Kremlin hawk who used to run the FSB security service, the Russian successor agency to the KGB, went on to claim that the real reason Syria was coming under so much international pressure to end a brutal crackdown on the opposition was largely geopolitical. “Syria has not become an object of interest for a new coalition of the willing in itself,” he said. “The plan is to punish Damascus not so much for repressing the opposition as for its unwillingness to sever its friendly relations with Tehran.”

I have to wonder if Russia is readying a military response to such a NATO incursion; this could get very nasty very quickly, should that be the case.

US admiral says Navy forces are prepared to confront Iran

Vice Adm. Mark Fox, commander of the 5th Fleet, told reporters at the naval force's Bahrain headquarters that the Navy has "built a wide range of potential options to give the president" and is "ready today" to confront any hostile action by Tehran.

Fox acknowledged that Iran's military is "capable of striking a blow" against American forces in the Gulf, particularly using unconventional means such as small attack boats or mines laid along shipping lanes.

"We're not bulletproof. There are people that can take a swipe at us," Fox said.

But he added that he has reminded officers under his command that they "have a right and an obligation of self defense" if attacked.

"Grooming" the American public for a potential false-flag at sea to be blamed on Iran, are we, Vice-Admiral?!?!?

U.S. Arms Shipment Destined For Al-Qaeda In Syria Seized In Lebanon

Syria: White House preaches peace, Pentagon preps for war, CIA Smuggles Arms

As the White House is publicly saying no to arming opposition and other military involvement in the Syrian conflict the Pentagon is preparing for war as the CIA continues to arm the rebels

US and allies 'considering plans' for military aid to Syrian rebels

THE US and its allies were considering giving military aid to the Syrian opposition.

The war on Iran is on hold (because neither the US nor Israel can sell that to the public and fear a new false-flag would not be believed) so the plan now is to pour weapons into Syria so they can kill each other, then invade because, well, the Syrians are killing each other, then hope Iran will honor its treaty obligations and come to Syria's aid, giving the US and Israel the war they wanted with Iran all along.

This is a repeat of how Franklin Roosevelt, unable to sell a war against Germany to the American people, instead goaded Japan into the attack at Pearl Harbor, pretended it was a surprise, and bulldozed the American people into WW2.

US doesn’t rule out supplying arms to Syrian opposition

http://english.ruvr.ru/2012/02/08/65580963.html

The United States does not rule out supplying arms to the Syrian opposition, the State Department official spokesperson, Victoria Nuland, told a news briefing on Tuesday.

But she gave to understand that Washington wants to address the problem not through building-up arsenals in Syria, but through setting up a coalition of nations that support the Syrian opposition and can do what cannot be done through the United Nations.

A few days ago, Russia and China blocked the UN Security Council resolution that demanded that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad should step down.

Al Arabia News Channel has reported that Iran's Revolutionary Guard has deployed 15,000 armed to troops to Syria recently to assist Syrian President Assad's fight against opposition forces.

The Quds Force includes 15,000 elite soldiers who operated, among other locations, in Iraq during the war, and the specialty of which is engaging in unconventional warfare on foreign soil. Among other duties, the Quds Force is in charge of training and funding Hezbollah.

Iran and Syria have a mutual defense pact, which means that if either country is attacked, the other is treaty-bound to defend it.

IF these reports are true, Iran has just given the US and Israel the justification for a military attack against Iran.

Syria Activists In Photos: Peaceful Protestors or Armed Terrorists?

Western media has been running repeated footage of claiming to show Syria engaging in a brutal crackdown on innocent civilian protestors? These photos, videos and international observers tell a different story. You decide.

Syria Activists - Peaceful Protestors Or Armed Terrorists?

U.S. Fighting On the Same Side as Three Terrorist Groups In Syria

Al Qaeda is supporting the Syrian opposition.

So is the Muslim Brotherhood.

And Hamas.

I thought Al Qaeda, Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood were America’s mortal enemies. Why are we backing terrorists?

If Hezbollah joins the opposition, it will be a clean sweep.

Imagine my (absence of) surprise.

With US foreign policy, whoever our "friends and enemies" are depends completely upon context.

Angelina Jolie Conscripted To Sell Genocidal ‘Humanitarian Intervention’ War Doctrine

Angelina Jolie, Goodwill Ambassador to the UN and member of CFR, is now using her profile to promote NATO’s genocidal ‘humanitarian intervention’ war doctrine. In an interview with the Balkans branch of Al Jazeera (NATO’s ‘Ministry of Truth’), Jolie (whose father has been a staunch defender of George W. Bush and who also visited Israel to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Nakba) promotes her new film ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey’, a pro-war propaganda set-piece centred around the ‘humanitarian intervention’.

Set in Sarajevo, Jolie’s directorial debut aims to justify NATO’s brutal butchery in Bosnia during the 1990s, and Jolie even specifically refers to Syria in her Al Jazeera interview. She puts forth a string of utterly hollow gripes about the inactivity of the ‘international community’ as civilians suffer and die. Jolie’s selective morality means she doesn’t once mention Libya – a nation now butchered, fractured, and transformed into a torture state by NATO’s genocidal ‘humanitarian intervention’; an estimated 100,000 innocent people slaughtered by the very same ‘international community’.

Most likely reading from her pre-defined talking points, Jolie even calls out Russia and China for using their veto powers against the ever benevolent ‘international community’ vis-à-vis Syria.

“I think Syria has gotten to a point, sadly, where some form of, certainly, where some sort of intervention is absolutely necessary.

It’s so disheartening, it’s so sad, it’s so upsetting, it’s so horrible, what’s happening…at this time we just must stop the civilians being slaughtered…when you see that sort of mass violence and murder on the streets we must do something. And I know that the countries in the region are pushing as well, so I feel that this is a good global effort, but then there are these countries that are choosing not to intervene and I don’t feel, I feel very strongly that the use of a veto when you have financial interests in a country should be questioned, and the use of a veto against a humanitarian intervention should be questioned.”

Listen from approximately 8 minutes and 20 seconds in:

Hollywood superstar Angelina ‘Humanitarian’ Jolie is now baying for Syrian blood. The worst part is, due to our pitiful culture of celebrity worship and braindead media consumption, this episode may do great damage to the months of hard work that truth-seekers have done to expose this genocidal doctrine of war.

The Truth Behind the Coming "Regime Change" in Syria

The United States appears to be using a strategy in Syria that it has perfected over the years, having succeeded most recently in Libya: arming small paramilitary groups loyal to U.S. interests that claim to speak for the local population; these militants then attack the targeted government the U.S. would like to see overthrown — including terrorist bombings — and when the attacked government defends itself, the U.S. cries "genocide" or "mass murder,” while calling for foreign military intervention.

I would not be so quick to claim success in Libya...

Independent Report Contradicts Western Portrait of Syria

While the Western media act like the Syrian government is wantonly and indiscriminately killing its own people without provocation, an independent investigation has found a different reality on the ground.

Specifically, over 160 monitors from the Arab League – comprised of both allies and mortal enemies of Syria – toured Syria and published a report on January 27th showing that the situation has been mischaracterized.

Initially, the report noted general cooperation by the Syrian government:

What Is Really Going On In Syria: Insider Update

Professor Dolgov confirms that, far from a contrived "Arab Spring" scenario, Syria is undeniably grappling with the threat of foreign occupation. He observes that while the offensive is inordinately violent, the population will not be intimidated. Aware of the disaster wrought by NATO "humanitarian" operations in Yugoslavia and Libya, the Syrians refuse to be drawn into a sectarian ambush. A process of reform and development is on track, but it will not be dictated from abroad. In Syria, one may object to the president, but not to national sovereignty.

Russia to deliver combat jets to Syria

http://arabnews.com/middleeast/article567056.ece

A newspaper is reporting that Russia has signed a contract to sell combat jets to Syria in a show of support for President Bashar Assad’s regime.

Russia is squaring up for a fight with America over Syria

Confirmation that the U.S. and its allies are studying their military options for helping the anti-Assad rebels in Syria is a worrying development on a number of levels, not least of which is the prospect of the West becoming embroiled in a direct confrontation with the Russians.

As I have argued before, I think the West – and that includes Britain – needs to proceed with great caution before it gets too closely involved in the Syrian crisis. As with the Libya situation last year, we still have no clear idea who the rebels are in Syria, or what their ultimate objective might be.

Fmr. Russian Joint Chiefs of Staff: Russia Is Ready to Use Military Power to Defend Iran and Syria

Video: Huge crowds welcome Russia FM Lavrov in Syria

Britain warns Russia not to block UN effort over Syria

Downing Street warned Russia on Monday not to block efforts at the United Nations to bring a peaceful resolution to unrest in Syria.

Foreign Secretary William Hague was on Monday flying to New York to lend Britain's support to an Arab-backed draft resolution calling on the country's authoritarian leader Bashar al-Assad to step down and pave the way for a transfer of power.

The Arab League's secretary general Nabil Elaraby will on Tuesday brief Security Council members, including Mr Hague, on the findings of its recent mission to monitor the Assad regime's response to widespread protests against his rule.

Russia to create own shield against NATO

Russia will build a reliable aerospace defense system to effectively counter NATO missile threats, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said yesterday.

Rogozin, recently appointed as a deputy prime minister to oversee Russia’s defense industry, said on his Twitter account that the global security conference being held in Munich had failed to come to a compromise on creating a European missile defense system.

Rogozin quoted NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen as saying NATO would continue “to develop a missile defense system because we feel a strong responsibility to protect our populations effectively against the missile threat.”

Who in their right mind, after NATO's and the US's actions in the last decade, could blame the Russian government for doing this?

China Must Ally With Russia To Prevent West's Takeover Of Middle East

China cannot stay out of Syrian chaos
The West has sped up efforts against Syria after the double veto by China and Russia over the UN Security Council resolution. Russia has sent its envoy to the country. China cannot sit idly by as the situation moves away from its intentions.

Even it is not able to dictate the direction of the Syrian situation, China can at least cast its influence in three aspects.

It can facilitate communication between the Assad government and the opposition. The vetoes by China and Russia have deprived the West of a convenient excuse to launch direct military action, meaning the Syrian opposition will not receive overall support as given to the NTC in Benghazi during the Libyan civil war.

Turkey Blue Berets sent to Syria border

The troops, known as Blue Berets in the Turkish Army, are set to establish a security region to deal with possible confrontations along the border with Syria, Turkish newspaper Sabah reported.

The deployment came after Syria earlier this week sent tanks to its border with Turkey, saying they are to confront with terrorist elements attempting to cross into the Syrian territory via Turkey.

On Friday, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Ankara would not hesitate to insulate the region's security from the situation in Syria. Turkey shares a 560 mile border with Syria.

Are we looking, perhaps, at a "back door" NATO incursion into Syria via Turkey?!?

Turkey is a member of NATO.

If this is a land incursion, the missile killing equipment Russia just delivered to Syria will be of absolutely no use in this circumstance.

Iran Deploys 15,000 Troops To Syria

Syria Reports 15,000 Elite Iranian Revolutionary Guard Soldiers Trained In Unconventional Warfare, Have Arrived To Help Assad Crush The Violent Uprising.

The online edition of Haaretz Newspaper in Israel is reporting that a deployment of 15,000 elite Iranian soldiers trained in unconventional warfare have just recently arrived in Syria to help the Assad regime crush the violent uprising.

The news comes as Russia and China vetoed a U.N. security council resolution to condemn Assad’s tactics in crushing the rebellion. Non-stop video footage of the tactics shown repeatedly on western media outlets has showed repeated mortar assaults on what appears to be civilian housing. Those media reports came along with a disclaimer that the authenticity or claims in the video can not be verified because media outlets are banned from entering Syria.

Another interesting story here is for Iranian troops to have just entered Syria, almost at the same time of the U.N. resolution vote, Iran must have deployed their troops some time ago. Clearly, the U.S. and their allies would have known of about the movement of Iranian troops.

Had the U.N. resolution passed, Iran would have inadvertently acted in violation the U.N. resolution, possible giving the west an excuse to launch attacks against Iran. Perhaps this is part of the reason China and Russia vetoed the resolution.

Tensions Escalate As Syria Pipeline Destroyed - Video

Just when you hoped the worst was over with Draghi's market-disappointing news this morning, things just got a lot more real in the Middle-East. State media is reporting that armed terrorists blew up an oil pipeline west of the flashpoint Syrian city of Homs. In an interesting twist, an anti-regime group said the government was behind the blast.

SYRIA: Unknown Snipers and Western-Backed Regime Change

10 year old boy killed by terrorists in HOMS-SYRIA in front of his mom then kidnapped to uknown place to be filmed after which time the video was sent to Al-Arabia TV and Al-jazeera TV to be shown as “proof” the Syrian Army killed him. After the video was made, his kilers then returned him back to his mother and told her he needed to go to a hospital.

The people of Syria have been beset by death squads and snipers since the outbreak of violence there in March. Hundreds of Syrian soldiers and security personnel have been murdered, tortured and mutilated by Salafist and Muslim Brotherhood militants. Yet the international media corporations continue to spread the pathetic lie that the deaths are the result Bachar Al Assad’s dictatorship.

There was a DITTRA and NARAC dose estimate that was done for California that we obtained as part of the DOE briefing package. And those were estimating what we believe to be very high doses to children...

Drug money saved banks in global crisis, claims UN advisor

Drugs money worth billions of dollars kept the financial system afloat at the height of the global crisis, the United Nations' drugs and crime tsar has told the Observer.

The words 'money' and 'junkie' just naturally go together. All jokes aside, this means the banks are [part of organized crime. Under the RICO act, their wealth should be confiscated and used to wipe out all public and private debt.

Then we hang, draw, and quarter them all!

Shocking report says water bills to triple across USA

With wages stagnant or declining, gasoline and electricity prices on the rise and food prices steadily increasing, the last thing American families need is another increase in a basic necessity. Yet, a new report says that's exactly what you're going to get: Water bills that will likely double or triple over the next few years, thanks to the nation's crumbling water system infrastructure.

A new study and report by the American Water Works Association (AWWA) entitled, Buried No Longer: Confronting America's Water Infrastructure Challenge, improving and expanding the nation's underground water systems will cost upwards of $1 trillion over the next 25 years. And, as is always the case, water system users are going to get soaked with the bill.

Nearly Entire Open Interest in COMEX Silver Trades Hands in Single Hour

The all-out cartel paper attack on silver continues. We documented last week how the cartel dumped 225 million ounces of paper silver on the market in 30 minutes coinciding with the release of the FOMC Monetary Policy report to being the raid. 225 million ounces of 30 minutes is approximately 7.5 million ounces a minute.

Economic Collapse + Canadian Bankers Dicking with Iceland + Much More

The Canadian government has announced that they are ready to talk about Iceland adopting the Canadian currency which sort of came out of the clear blue sky. This isn't Iceland's idea because Iceland has made it very clear that they do not want to get entangled with world banks or IMF or any of this other stuff... they just want to live their own lives isolated from this globalist economy and as a result Iceland's economy is doing very well right now... so this move by Canada is an attempt to basically lure Iceland back into an IMF world bank banking system and I think Iceland's going to say no.

Gold Price Manipulation Explained and Why Silver Will Soon Go Ballistic

James Rickards sees gold standard at US$7,000 per ounce in the face of a dollar collapse

This is the cause of all the war, war, war we have been seeing. Anyone who wants to go off the dollar gets attacked!

Recently, Schiff sat down with Rickards to get his perspective on what's behind these currency wars, and find out what he recommends investors do to preserve their wealth through this tumultuous time.
Peter Schiff: You portray recent monetary history as a series of currency wars - the first being 1921-1936, the second being 1967-1987, and the third going on right now. This seems accurate to me. In fact, my father got involved in economics because he saw the fallout of what you would call Currency War II, back in the '60s. What differentiates each of these wars, and what is most significant about the current one?

It's Official: S&P Cuts Greece To (Selective) Default

Greece’s credit rating was cut to selective default by Standard & Poor’s after the bell on Monday, reflecting the implementation of collective action clauses (CACs) on its debt. Greece is in the middle of one of the largest sovereign debt restructurings ever and needs to secure significant private sector participation rate; CACs are designed to forcibly increase that rate.

Translation: Greece better have that PSI in the bag or else the "Selective" goes away and "Greece would face an imminent outright payment default." CHART OF THE DAY: The Rosy Assumptions Behind The Entire Greek Bailout

Earlier we mentioned a bombshell report in the FT about a secret memo circulated in Europe, which admitted the truth about the Greek bailout: Reform measures are killing the economy, and there's a good chance that the country will never get its public debt under control.

What's also interesting is that the memo is still using very rosy assumptions about Greek economic growth.
FT Alphaville has posted the whole memo, and it's fairly gruesome.
