L’ancien ministre britannique de l’Intérieur admet avoir demandé le bombardement d’Al-Jazeera

De récentes informations indiquent que la chaîne de nouvelles Al-Jazeera basée au Qatar a été la cible de bombardements délibérés par l’administration Bush.

Dans une émission de télévision Channel 4 Dispatches qui a été diffusée récemment et qui portait sur les cahiers de notes de l’ancien ministre britannique de l’Intérieur David Blunkett, il a été révélé qu’en avril 2003, lors de l’invasion de l’Irak par la Grande-Bretagne et les Etats-Unis, Blunkett a noté qu’il avait pressé le premier ministre Tony Blair de bombarder l’antenne de transmission d’Al-Jazeera à Bagdad. Interviewé par Dispatches, Blunkett a reconnu qu’il avait fait une telle proposition à Blair.

Robert Fisk has pulled the shroud off Bush’s Iraq policy and exposed the rotting corpse below. In his latest article “Seen through a Syrian Lens” (UK Independent 4-29-06) Fisk fingers the US as the driving force behind the present “alleged” sectarian violence in Iraq. He’s produced information from a trusted “security source” that America is “desperately trying to provoke a civil war around Baghdad in order to reduce its own military casualties”. It is a charge we’ve heard before but never quite as persuasively as from a veteran journalist who his relied on for “getting it right”.

BAGHDAD - Iraqi journalists are outraged over yet another U.S. military raid on the media.

U.S. soldiers raided and ransacked the offices of the Iraq Syndicate of Journalists (ISJ) in central Baghdad Tuesday this week. Ten armed guards were arrested, and 10 computers and 15 small electricity generators kept for donation to families of killed journalists were seized.

This is not the first time U.S. troops have attacked the media in Iraq, but this time the raid was against the very symbol of it. Many Iraqis believe the U.S. soldiers did all they could to deliver the message of their leadership to Iraqi journalists to keep their mouth shut about anything going wrong with the U.S.-led occupation.

The purported execution of “Al-Qaeda mystery man” Musab al-Zarqawi ends what was exposed two months ago as a Pentagon psychological operation in leaked military documents.

The pursuit of Zarqawi is being sold as the “turning point” of the Iraq war. It is nothing of the sort. This is another lie, heaped upon the multitude of lies that comprise the “war on terrorism” itself.

What is a well-established (and deliberately unaddressed) fact is that the United States government and US-connected intelligence agencies created Islamic “terrorism." The US and its allies have continued to use and guide terrorist cells, as well as fill worldwide media with “terrorism” propaganda.

As pointed out by Michel Chossodovsky in "The Anglo-American War of Terror: An Overview", the continuing US-led war of conquest rests upon a labyrinth of deceptions, of which “Zarqawi” is one:

“One of the main objectives of war propaganda is to ‘fabricate an enemy.’ As anti-war sentiment grows and the political legitimacy of the Bush administration falters, doubts regarding the existence of this illusive ‘outside enemy’ must be dispelled.

“Propaganda purports not only to drown the truth but also to ‘kill the evidence’ on how this ‘outside enemy,’ namely Osama bin Laden’s Al Qaeda was fabricated and transformed into ‘Enemy Number One.’"

Iraqi raises questions on al-Zarqawi death

Iraq - U.S. officials have altered their account of the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, saying he was alive and partly conscious after bombs destroyed his hideout, and an Iraqi man raised fresh questions Saturday about the events surrounding the end of Iraq's most-wanted militant.

The man, who lived near the scene of the bombing, claimed in an interview with AP Television News to have seen U.S. soldiers beating an injured man resembling al-Zarqawi until blood flowed from the man's nose.

Now then, ask yourself this. If the man they caught was the real Zarqawi, and they caught him alive, WHY WOULD THE US FORCES KILL HIM?

Or is it more likely that the man passed off as Zarqawi for the last several months was a phony, and had to be killed rather than risk exposure during interrogation?

President Bush has now definitively stated that bombs known as explosively formed penetrators - EFPs, which have proved especially deadly for U.S. troops in Iraq - are made in Iran and exported to Iraq. But in November, U.S. troops raiding a Baghdad machine shop came across a pile of copper disks, 5 inches in diameter, stamped out as part of what was clearly an ongoing order. This ominous discovery, unreported until now, makes it clear that Iraqi insurgents have no need to rely on Iran as the source of EFPs.
