Japan Fukushima Reactor: Eight Months After Nuclear Disaster, Plant Remains In Shambles

Eight months later, the plant remains a shambles. Mangled trucks, flipped over by the power of the wave, still clutter its access roads. Rubble remains strewn where it fell. Pools of water cover parts of the once immaculate campus.

Tens of thousands of the plant's former neighbors may never be able to go home. And just as Hiroshima and Nagasaki become icons of the horrors of nuclear weapons, Fukushima has become the new rallying cry of the global anti-nuclear energy movement.

That the Japanese people didn't fire their government after this catastrophe, and that the Board of Directors at TEPCO wasn't voted out of office, and run out of town by their investors never fails to amaze me.

But horrendously grim outcome of this event next month for Japan will be the birth of children whose moms and dads were exposed to horrendous doses of radiation right around the time their moms conceived.

Will Fukushima Bankrupt Japan?

Taipei Times notes today that, according to a Japanese author:

A professor from the University of Tokyo has even estimated that it would cost up to ?800 trillion [U.S. $10 trillion dollars], amounting to approximately 10 years of the national budget, if the soil and road surface of radiation-affected areas are to be cleaned up.

The damage is so much that the Japanese government would go well beyond bankruptcy, Liu said.

Of course, the Japanese government’s entire strategy from day one has been to cover up the severity of the Fukushima accident.

Given that Japan either won’t or is unwilling to pay for a real clean up of the Fukushima radiation, it appears that the people of Japan will pay for the accident with their health for generations to come.

Nuke agency reports unusual radiation in Europe - (IAEA: not the result of Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster)

United Nations Agency Downplays Increased Radiation in Europe

The United Nations nuclear agency is reporting higher than normal radiation levels in the Czech Republic and elsewhere in Europe, but states the increase is not a public health risk. The International Atomic Energy Agency says that “very low levels” of iodine-131 have been measured in the atmosphere.

The IAEA does not know the source of the radiation, but says it is not related to Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, which spread radiation around the world in March.

Following the disaster, scientists warned that Fukushima radiation posed a threat to Europe. In April, an independent French radiation commission said the health risk from iodine-131 contaminationwas “no longer negligible.”

Paddy Regan, a professor of nuclear physics at Britain’s University of Surrey:

• Regan says the suggestion that the iodine may have leaked from a radiopharmaceuticals maker “sounds very sensible and totally reasonable.”
• “It would be very unlikely for it to have come from Fukushima since the accident was so many months ago and iodine-131 has a brief half-life.”

Hungarian gov’t radiation expert: Iodine-131 detected in Budapest, but it’s OK because “this is far below the levels found after Fukushima”

Nov. 11 — Dr Geza Safrany of Hungary’s National Research Institute for Radiobiology and Radiohygiene told Reuters:

• “A very minimal increase in activity was registered (in Hungary) on Nov. 5 … but this is far below the levels found after Fukushima”
• “For the time being the source of the leakage cannot be determined”
• Detections were made at monitoring stations in Budapest and the eastern town of Miskolc
• He said it was unlikely Hungary would be the source of the leakage as it was detected in several places in Europe

JUST IN: Iodine-131 now detected in Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary… other countries — An indicator of nuclear chain reaction — 10 days after criticality talk at Fukushima

Traces of iodine-131 detected in Europe, Trend, November 11, 2011:

“Low levels of a radioactive isotope have been detected in several European countries in the past days, but the source of the emission was unknown, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said Friday, DPA reported.” [...]

‘”But it’s a concern because there is a source somewhere,” an offical close to the IAEA said, adding that atmospheric measurements were made in countries including Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary.” [...]

“People who take a transatlantic flight are exposed to a radiation dose 40,000 times as high as the one detected recently, the Vienna health ministry said.”

From the International Atomic Energy Agency’s brief statement on the detection:

• “The IAEA has learned about similar measurements in other locations across Europe”
• “The IAEA believes the current trace levels of iodine-131 that have been measured do not pose a public health risk and are not caused by the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident in Japan”
• “The IAEA is working with its counterparts to determine the cause and origin of the iodine-131.”

The iodine-131 finding comes around 10 days after the announcement of xenon at Fukushima, which was suspected to be caused by a criticality.

How long did it take for radioactive particles from Japan to reach Europe back in March?

“The substances were blown eastward by a jet stream traveling at a speed of some 3,000 kilometres a day, arriving on the US West Coast on March 18, in Iceland on March 20, and many other European countries on March 22, the researchers said.” -DPA

Because radioactive releases after the March 11 quake occurred almost immediately, the radioactive isotopes from Japan took about 10-11 days to reach Europe.

“The Czech nuclear security authority said it had been detecting radioactive iodine-131 at a number of monitoring stations since late October and had informed the IAEA to see if it could identify the source, Reuters reports.”

“Czech nuclear safety chief Dana Drabova said the iodine could have leaked during production of radiopharmaceuticals.”

“It was certainly not from a nuclear power plant, she said, adding that they were almost certain that the source was abroad.”

Poland tries to blame Pakistan for iodine-131 over Europe — Pakistan says no: “Release of Iodine-131 is not possible unless there is a nuclear fuel failure”

No KANUPP linkage to Radioactivity in Europe, PAEC clarifies, AP of Pakistan, Nov. 12, 2011:

Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) on Sunday refuted a news item appeared in a section of national and international media alleging that higher than normal radioactivity noticed in parts of Europe could have originated from the recent KANUPP incident. [...]

The release of Iodine-131 is not possible unless there is a nuclear fuel failure, while the incident at KANUPP involved leakage of heavy water which contains tritium and not Iodine-131, said the official.

Higher radiation levels were detected in Poland and Ukraine even before October 19 when the KANUPP incident had not even taken place. [...]

The entire news item is based upon the statement attributed to the spokesman of the Polish atomic energy agency who only said: “Unconfirmed reports suggest there may have been an incident at a nuclear power station in Pakistan but this requires further confirmation”.

And he did not cite any evidence or proof. [...]

I received a last minute message from youtube user cideroipunx (thank you!) letting me know of a huge anti-nuclear demonstration being held in Fukuoka on Sunday Nov. 12th. I grabbed my camera and hopped on a train!

I’ll make video to talk about it in details, but I just uploaded this as a brief news flash for now. There were over 10,000 people. Everyone assembled in a large park several hours before the demonstration and there were talks given on stage, a taiko drum performance, and various booths both selling things and with information. It was really huge and organized. Then everyone took to the streets and through Tenjin, a major center of the city of Fukuoka. It was all peaceful and organized and very impressive. It was probably one of the largest anti-nuclear demonstrations in Japan to date.

These Japanese people should be the model for the rest of the people in this nation. They have the bravery to stand up for what they believe and speak out, yet they retain the manners that they hold important while doing it. If this nation is to survive and prosper in the future, more people need to be willing to stand up like this and not accept the bullshit that the government and industries give and tell them.

• “The rate of extragenital pathology during pregnancy increased in the years after the accident from 23.1% in 1982 to 33.9% in 1990 in Chechersky and from 7.1% to 51.2% in Polessky over the same period (Fig. 2). The main pathologies in both districts were anemia of pregnancy, renal disorders, transient hypertension, and abnormalities of fat metabolism.”
• “The main complication in the postnatal stages was anemia, which increased in incidence progressively in the years after the accident. The increase in rates of incidence between 1983 and 1990 were from 9.1% to 15.2% in Chechersky and from 1.1% to 9.3% in Polessky.”
• The incidence of neonatal morbidity increased 3-fold in Polessky and 2-fold in Chechersky following the accident (Fig. 5). The diseases recorded were hypoxia, congenital abnormalities, respiratory distress, infections, and inflammatory disease. Fetal and neonatal hypoxia was twice as common. Respiratory distress increased 7-fold in Chechersky and by a factor of 2 in Polessky (Fig. 6).
• Hemorrhagic syndromes increased in frequency 9-fold and were manifest as alimentary hemorrhage causing melena or subcutaneous hemorrhage. The pre-accident incidence was 0.5-1.0%, increasing to 4.4% (Polessky) and 5.1% (Chechersky) in 1990.
• In the years following the accident, there was a general decline in the health index with a 3-fold reduction in the number of children in group 1 in comparison to the general population. Simultaneously, the number of ill children increased by a factor of 2.4 in both polluted areas

Conclusion

• We carried out an extensive and complex investigation of pregnant women and their offspring after the accident at Chernobyl in April 1986 and calculated that the health of the mothers, fetuses and children differed significantly from the physiological norm. There was a specific complex of adaptational and pathological abnormalities of various organs and systems.
• The female reproductive system itself remained intact, but defective compensatory and adaptational mechanisms of the mothers and fetoplacental units resulted in diseases of the neonates that are still, at present, progressing.
• The general deterioration of the health of mothers and children is similar in all the polluted areas of Russia, viz., Belorussia and the Ukraine, and it must be concluded that this effect was caused by radiation, which triggered a complex pattern of bodily dysfunction. [...]
• The disorders and diseases revealed by this survey make it necessary to undertake special programs of prophylaxis and treatment in the population groups affected by radioactive contamination. Social measures are required to prevent prenatal abnormalities by way of optimizing conditions for the protection of the fetoplacental complex. This is essential to reduce the hazardous consequences of the Chernobyl accident and to preserve the health of posterity.

Japanese Debris to Start Hitting Western U.S. and Canada THIS WEEK

I noted in June that debris from carried out to sea in the Japanese tsunami would hit the Western U.S. and Canada within a year or so, and that nuclear engineer Arnie Gundersen urged us to demand testing of radioactivity from the American government.

It turns out that scientists underestimated the speed with which the debris would reach the Western coast of North America.

Senator: We need agressive plan to deal with mass of “toxic debris” headed to US from Japan — Concern over hazards to people, fish & clogged waterways

Cantwell told her Senate colleagues:

• “Whole communities were swept out to sea in an unwieldy mass of toxic debris.”
• “We can’t wait until all of this tsunami trash washes ashore. We need to have an aggressive plan on how we’re going to deal with it.”

Eight months after a tsunami caused a nuclear accident in Japan, ordinary people are using new technology and the power of crowdsourcing to find radiation hotspots.

6.9-magnitude quake jolts Japan

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 on the Richter scale has hit off the shores of Japan's southern Okinawa Island.

According to Japanese officials the Tuesday quake which took place about 220 kilometers away from the island is not expected to cause a tsunami, Reuters reported.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

NHK: Fukushima children not growing in weight, average increase down 75% — Doctor says “very unusual”… some gained only 1 pound in year

Nov. 7 — “A survey shows that some children in Fukushima Prefecture have smaller average weight gains this year compared to the year before. A pediatrician says the results indicate the negative effects of the nuclear plant accident in March,” reports NHK.

“Doctor Shintaro Kikuchi tracked the weights of 245 children aged from 4 to 6 in 2 kindergartens in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. The results show an average weight increase of 0.81 kilograms over the past year through June. The increase for children in the same age group the previous year was 3.1 kilograms.”

Nov. 7 — Japan’s state-run TV station reported, “NHK asked 10 electric power companies that manage nuclear power plants if they have experienced attacks on their computer networks in the past year. Tokyo Electric Power Company, Hokkaido Electric Power Company and Tohoku Electric Power Company said they had received targeted cyber attacks.”

Nov. 7 — A Japanese-language report from Nov. 3 headlined: Important papers on low-dose radiation cancer risk: a significant increase in cancer at 10 mSv – Cancer risk significantly rises at dosage of 10 – 40 mSV: Research by McGill team (Google translation)

These results call into question whether our current enthusiasm for imaging and therapeutic procedures after acute myocardial infarction should be tempered. We should at least consider putting into place a system of prospectively documenting the imaging tests and procedures that each patient undergoes and estimating his or her cumulative exposure to low-dose ionizing radiation.

Nov. 7 — The operator of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant has begun removing radioactive cesium from water in the No. 2 spent fuel pool, according to NHK.

“There are fears that the metal pipes and walls of the spent fuel pools will erode, as seawater was used after the accident to cool down the spent fuel pools.”

Tepco said removal of cesium from the spent fuel pool water is necessary to remove the salt. “Erosion caused by salt may cause holes to form,” reports NHK.

Nov. 5 — Setting the scene for its revealing report on the plight of workers at Fukushima Daiichi, the Economist details conditions outside the stricken plant. “Patrol cars stop passing vehicles,” notes the reporter, “The police are particularly vigilant in preventing unauthorised people getting near the stricken plant.”

Meet the Workers

“The air of secrecy is compounded when you try to approach workers involved in the nightmarish task of stabilising the nuclear plant. Many are not salaried Tepco staff but low-paid contract workers lodging in Iwaki, just south of the exclusion zone.”

“It is easy to spot them, in their nylon tracksuits — They seem to have been recruited from the poorest corners of society”:

Hiroyuki Watanabe, an Iwaki official reports there are “many safety breaches.” “Workers wading through contaminated water complain that their boots have holes in them — Some are not instructed in when to change the filters on their safety masks,” according to Watanabe.

“Even such basic tools as wrenches are in short supply, he claims. Tepco is shielded by a lack of media scrutiny. The councillor shows a Tepco gagging order that one local boss had to sign. Article four bans all discussion of the work with outsiders. All requests for media interviews must be rejected.”

The Engineer

“One engineer who has played a front-line role in helping cool the meltdown of Fukushima’s three reactors spoke unwittingly to The Economist.”

The engineer revealed to the Econominst the in May, “The hardest work was done by the low-level labourers. They had so much rubble to clear, he says, that they often keeled over in the heat under the weight of their protective gear. Taken out in ambulances, they would usually be back the following day.”

Calm at J. Village belies the danger, Japan Times, Nov. 12, 2011:

An American Look at Fukushima, Minute by Minute, New York Times, Nov. 11, 2011:

“One lesson involves the nature of radiation protection for plant workers in an emergency. Two operators received more than 60 rem (0.6 Sv), far above the level at which changes in blood chemistry can be observed and almost at the level where symptoms like nausea and vomiting begin.”

“But most of the dose came not from walking around in places where radiation was present – it was internal, meaning it was from particles inhaled or swallowed by the workers. Radioactive material that is lodged in the body will deliver a dose for an extended period.”

A Visit to Fukushima Begins, New York Times, Nov. 11, 2011:

[... T]he Japanese government is opening the compound and surrounding area to the media for the first time. On Friday, officials took a group of reporters, including Martin Fackler of The New York Times, on a tour of J-Village, a former sports center near the plant that is now being used to house workers laboring to bring the plant’s reactors under control.

[...] “The medical center has never treated a case of radiation exposure. Fukushima Daiichi did have a radiation exposure case in March, but the person was treated elsewhere.”

Notice the contradiction between the two New York Times reports from the 11th? Perhaps being on the Tepco public relations tour interfered with Mr. Fackler’s ability to properly research this vital issue.

17 Idaho National Lab Workers Exposed to Lethal Radiation

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Seventeen Idaho National Laboratory workers were undergoing full-body scans after they were potentially exposed to low-level plutonium radiation Tuesday while cleaning at the nuclear research site, officials said.

There was no evidence that radiation was released outside the facility, and there was no risk to the public or the environment, the laboratory said in a statement. The workers underwent initial decontamination procedures at their worksite and were taken to the laboratory's medical center for evaluation.

The laboratory has designed and constructed 52 reactors since its founding in 1949. There's still active research at the facility, but hundreds of workers are also cleaning up radioactive waste that's left over from more than 60 years of activities, including at the Zero Power Physics Reactor.

A spokeswoman for the DOE could immediately say how large Friday morning’s fire was or if anyone was injured.

Russia's space agency has all but given up hope of saving a £100million spacecraft that was bound for Mars but conked out shortly after launch.

Engineers had three days to fix a problem that caused the Phobos-Grunt probe to shut down before batteries aboard the craft died for good.

The engines that were supposed to propel it on its way to the red planet failed to ignite, and any attempts to correct the failure seemed doomed when scientists admitted that they couldn't even establish communications with the craft.

Now that the deadline has come and gone, Phobos-Grunt will run out of battery life and begin a decaying orbit around the Earth until it - and the 12 tons of dangerous fuel it is carrying - makes an unwelcome and uncontrolled return to the surface.

Complicating the recovery efforts, the space agency only has a few hours a day to reach the probe due to Russia's limited earth-to-space communications network.

The spacecraft weighs 14.6 tons, and most of that weight (about 12 tons) is a highly toxic mix of nitrogen teroxide and hydrazine fuel.

The Russians are hoping the fuel will stay liquid when the probe comes down, harmlessly exploding about 50 miles above ground.

But experts like James Oberg, a NASA veteran who now works as a space consultant, think the fuel could freeze, surviving the fiery re-entry and causing an environmental disaster on impact.

He said the probe would become 'the most toxic falling satellite ever', adding: 'What was billed as the heaviest interplanetary probe ever may become one of the heaviest space derelicts to ever fall back to Earth out of control, an unenviable record.'

Nicholas Johnson, an orbital debris expert at NASA, told Spaceflight Now website it was difficult to compare Phobos-Grunt's potential re-entry with other similar events.

'NASA predicts that in its current condition Phobos-Grunt will not re-enter until next month, possibly even late December. This is dependent upon solar activity and the attitude/stability of the spacecraft. As the re-entry gets closer, the uncertainty in the re-entry prediction will likewise become smaller.'

The fate of Phobos-Grunt's toxic propellant is also an issue. It could add to the risk of the re-entry if it fell in a populated area.

'If the Phobos-Grunt propellant tanks are aluminum, they will probably burn up and dissipate the propellants, whether they are liquid or frozen,' Johnson said.

Russia - which once led the space race in both innovation and exploration - had hoped that Phobos-Grunt would triumphantly bring them back into deep space exploration, after more than two decades of failure.

Now it seems the nation's failure will continue, and the worst is yet to come.

More than 75 percent of all 'honey' sold in grocery stores contains no honey at all

(NaturalNews) Just because those cute little bear-shaped bottles at the grocery store say "honey" on them does not necessarily mean that they actually contain honey. A comprehensive investigation conducted by Food Safety News (FSN) has found that the vast majority of so-called honey products sold at grocery stores, big box stores, drug stores, and restaurants do not contain any pollen, which means they are not real honey.

For the investigation, Vaughn Bryant, one of the nation's leading melissopalynologists, or experts in identifying pollen in honey, and director of the Palynology Research Laboratory at Texas A&M University, evaluated more than 60 products labeled as "honey" that had been purchased by FSN from ten states and the District of Columbia.

Bryant found that 76 percent of "honey" samples purchased from major grocery store chains like Kroger and Safeway, and 77 percent of samples purchased from big box chains like Sam's Club and Wal-Mart, did not contain any pollen. Even worse were "honey" samples taken from drug stores like Walgreens and CVS, and fast food restaurants like McDonald's and KFC, 100 percent of which were found to contain not a trace of pollen.

So what is all this phony honey made of? It is difficult to say for sure, as pollen is the key to verifying that honey is real. According to FSN, much of this imposter honey is more likely being secretly imported from China, and may even be contaminated with antibiotic drugs and other foreign materials.

FDA ties newer birth control drugs to blood clots

Safety concerns with the popular birth control pill Yaz increased Thursday as federal health scientists reported that the Bayer drug and other newer birth control treatments appear to increase the risk of dangerous blood clots more than older medications.

A new study released by the Food and Drug Administration reviewed the medical history of more than 800,000 U.S. women taking different forms of birth control between 2001 and 2007. On average, woman taking Yaz had a 75 percent greater chance of experiencing a blood clot than women taking older birth control drugs.

You may have heard of abiotic oil, the notion that oil is not the result of ancient biomass – hence the term fossil fuels — but rather from compressed methane seeping up from the Earth’s mantle. Most petroleum engineers spurn abiotic oil as a crackpot idea, but the notion has percolated along and been popularized by books such as Thomas Gold’s Deep Hot Biosphere. Setting aside the climate issue of burning petroleum, the idea of naturally replenished oil supplies is alluring considering oil is by far the most portable, energy dense fuel around. [A] paper published in Energy & Fuels, a peer-reviewed publication, supports the theory of abiotic oil. For their study geochemists at the Carnegie Institution of Washington combined the key ingredients for the abiotic synthesis of methane in a device and then simulated the high pressures and temperatures near the interface between the Earth’s crust and mantle. They found it highly plausible that methane could form from chemical reaction in this environment, writing that their experiment “strongly suggests that it is likely that, in deep earth geologic systems, some methane generation is inevitable.” The theory of abiotic oil holds that rapidly rising streams of compressed methane gas reach the crust from the mantle, and when they strike pockets of high temperature they condense into heavier hydrocarbons like crude oil.

The practice of injecting water into deep rock formations causes earthquakes, both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Geological Survey have concluded.

The U.S. natural gas industry pumps a mixture of water and assorted chemicals deep underground to shatter sediment layers containing natural gas, a process called hydraulic fracturing, known more informally as “fracking.” While environmental groups have primarily focused on fracking’s capacity to pollute underground water, a more ominous byproduct emerges from U.S. government studies – that forcing fluids under high pressure deep underground produces increased regional seismic activity.

Fracking Insiders Admit To Employing Military 'Psychological Operations' On American Citizens

Fracking is a contentious business. The process of injecting chemicals at high-pressure into the earth to pull out gas and oil has prompted as many reports condemning it as there are declaring it safe.

Homeowners concerned for the safety of their well water, and environmentalists, who believe the drilling even caused the Oklahoma earthquake, have formed movements against the practice, and it was these efforts that came up for discussion at last week's oil industry conference in Houston.

Filled with industry insiders all facing the same challenges and concerns, speakers lectured openly on how they handled the American public in communities where they drilled.

There, recording it all, was environmental activist Sharon Wilson, director of the Oil & Gas Accountability Project.

In the following recording, given to CNBC, one presenter tells the crowd to download a copy of the Army's counterinsurgency manual. "Because," he said, the movement opposing the industry is an "insurgency."

In this next recording (also given to CNBC) the speaker tells listeners that his organization maintains several military veterans who served as psychological warfare specialists. These former "psy ops" soldiers, he explains, are using their skills in Pennsylvania.

Wilson paid full price for attendance to the conference and wore a nametag identifying herself and her organization.

In his forum called “Designing a Media Relations Strategy To Overcome Concerns Surrounding Hydraulic Fracturing,” Range Resources communications director Matt Pitzarella explains how to "overcome stakeholder concerns" surrounding fracking.

“We have several former psy ops folks that work for us at Range because they’re very comfortable in dealing with localized issues and local governments,” Pitzarella said. “Really all they do is spend most of their time helping folks develop local ordinances and things like that. But very much having that understanding of psy ops in the Army and in the Middle East has applied very helpfully here for us in Pennsylvania.”

It was during Anadarko Petroleum's manager of external affairs, Matt Carmichael's, session on “Understanding How Unconventional Oil & Gas Operators are Developing a Comprehensive Media Relations Strategy to Engage Stakeholders and Educate the Public" that he suggested his colleagues:

“Download the U.S. Army-slash-Marine Corps Counterinsurgency Manual, because we are dealing with an insurgency,” Carmichael said. “There’s a lot of good lessons in there and coming from a military background, I found the insight in that extremely remarkable.”

To be clear on exactly what Carmichael meant when he said they're "dealing with an insurgency" we obtained a copy of the FM 3-24 — the final edition of the 2006 Counterinsurgency manual provided to psy ops soldiers. We substituted the word government with corporation.

" ... insurgency has been a common approach used by the weak to combat the strong. At the beginning of a conflict, insurgents have the strategic initiative ... the insurgents generally initiate the war. They may strive to disguise their intentions, and the potential counter-insurgent will be at a great disadvantage until [corporate] leaders recognize that an insurgency exists and are able to determine its makeup and characteristics to facilitate a coordinated reaction.

While the [corporation] prepares to respond, the insurgent is gaining strength and creating increasing disruptions throughout the state. The existing [corporation] normally has an initial advantage in resources, but that edge is counterbalanced by the requirement to maintain order. The insurgent succeeds by sowing chaos and disorder anywhere; the [corporation] fails unless it maintains order everywhere.

Italian cold fusion machine passes another test

Italian physicist and inventor Andrea Rossi has conducted a public demonstration of his "cold fusion" machine, the E-Cat, at the University of Bologna, showing that a small amount of input energy drives an unexplained reaction between atoms of hydrogen and nickel that leads to a large outpouring of energy, more than 10 times what was put in. The first seemingly successful cold fusion experiment was reported two decades ago. Two types of atoms, typically a light element and a heavier metal, seem to fuse together, releasing pure heat that can be converted into electricity. The process is an attractive energy solution for two reasons: Unlike in nuclear fission, the reaction doesn't give off dangerous radiation. Unlike the fusion processes that take place in the sun, cold fusion doesn't require extremely high temperatures. In April ... Rossi and fellow physicist Sergio Focardi successfully demonstrated the device for a group of Swedish physicists. At the demo in October, after an initial energy input of 400 watts into each module, each one then produced a sustained, continuous output of 10 kilowatts (470 kW altogether) for three to four hours. Peter Hagelstein, an MIT professor of electrical engineering and computer science and one of the most mainstream proponents of cold fusion research, thinks the process may involve vibrational energy in the metal's lattice driving nuclear transitions that lead to fusion.

A physicist in Italy claims to have demonstrated a new type of power plant that provides safe, cheap and virtually unlimited nuclear power to the world, without fossil fuels or radiation concerns. The only hitch: Scientists say the method -- cold fusion -- is patently impossible. They say it defies the laws of physics. Andrea Rossi doesn't seem to care. He told FoxNews.com that his new device takes in nickel and hydrogen and fuses them in a low-grade nuclear reaction that essentially spits out sheer power, validating the strange science. “With low energy, it's possible to give a heater a certain amount of energy and to get from the same heater a superior amount of energy,” Rossi explained. He claims he demonstrated the device, called an E-Cat, at the University of Bologna in Italy on Oct. 28. Nearly a century ago, in the 1920s, Austrian scientists Friedrich Paneth and Kurt Peters hypothesized a form of nuclear reaction that doesn’t produce radiation. And since then, the theory of cold fusion -- or "low-energy nuclear reaction," as its champions now call it -- has popped in and out the public's eyes, notably hitting the cover of Time magazine in 1989. Sterling Allan, CEO of the alternative energy news agency Pure Energy Systems, told FoxNews.com he attended Rossi’s demonstration and the E-Cat is self sustaining.

US government regrets 'gun-walking' operation

The US attorney-general has expressed regret that the country’s justice department misled legislators about the allegations of serious problems in the controversial arms trafficking investigation called Operation Fast and Furious.

At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday, Eric Holder said that the probe was flawed in concept as well as in execution, never should have happened and "it must never happen again".

The operation, conducted in 2009, employed a now-controversial investigative tactic known as gun-walking. Several federal agents said they were ordered to let suspected straw buyers walk away from Phoenix-area gun shops with AK-47s and other weapons believed headed for Mexican drug cartels.

"The goal of the United States was that these guns would lead them to Mexican drug cartel leaders and they could work with Mexican authorities to pursue arrests," Al Jazeera's Kimberly Halkett, reporting from Washington, said.

“I can’t stand him!” the Frenchman told his American counterpart in a would-be confidential discussion. Obama’s reply was “You're fed up with him, but I have to deal with him every day!”

I do not know why people are surprised at what Sarkozy and Obama said to each other in private about Netanyahu as a liar. Google releases satellite images of Iranian facilities which UN says may be used to develop nuclear weapons

These are the satellite images being used by the UN to claim that facilities at two Iranian cities may be used to develop nuclear weapons.

Satellite images of Arak and Natanz show changes to the facilities in the areas when compared with images taken in October 2010.

The overhead pictures were released by Google following a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) which expressed 'serious concerns regarding possible military dimensions to Iran's nuclear programme'.

Here are all the images of Iraq with the same circles and arrows around blurry blobs and the same labels claiming they were nuclear this and biological that. After we all got suckered into destroying Iraq the inspectors admitted that what we were told was a "decontamination vehicle" was an ordinary fire truck, the "mobile biological weapons lab" was actually a British-built weather balloon inflation system, and a "bio-weapons lab" turned out to be a bakery.

Does the media really think we are all so dumb that we don't remember the last time we saw these exact same lies? Only two weeks ago they were showing us pictures of what was claimed to be a Syrian uranium enrichment plant, only to find out a couple days later it is a textile factory and those were not uranium centrifuges whirring inside there by thread making machines.

Iran is not the problem. Since becoming an Islamic Republic in 1979 Iran has not tried to conquer anyone.

The same cannot be said for Israel and the US!

Only a week ago the media was showing pictures of a building in Syria and claiming it was a uranium enrichment facility. Then a few days later it was revealed that it was just a textile factory and the rows of spinning machines were just that; spinning thread for weaving.

In the run-up to the conquest of Iraq we were shown pictures like the above; space shots of buildings with nothing in the image at all to confirm the claims made about what we were seeing. And after Iraq was destroyed, the buildings in those photos all turned out to have innocent purposes after all.

This is just more of the same from government and media trying to sell you another war and hoping you are too stupid to recall those previous lies.

Every high school and college physics department conducts nuclear experiments. That does not mean they have a bomb.

Final note. I just looked at this facility in Google Earth and using the Time Slider feature, you find that whatever this facility is, it has been there since 2002! This is NOT a new facility, nuclear or otherwise. In fact it looks like a testing facility for ammunition and light artillery shells.

Iran will be able to build nuclear bomb within months, IAEA says

Iran has already acquired the knowledge, technology, and resources to create a nuclear bomb within months, according to Western experts who were briefed on the intelligence information due to be released in this week's report by the United Nations' International Atomic Energy Agency.

Take two 30 Kg chunks of highly enriched Uranium 235 and slap them together. You will get a mushroom cloud. You are all now in possession of the technical knowledge needed to make an atomic bomb. According to Israel's philosophy, they now have a right to attack you without further warning, along with every high school and college physics classroom in the world.

Of course, you are not building a bomb, because knowledge alone isn't a weapon. If you don;t have 60 Kg of highly enriched Uranium 235, and you don't, and neither does Iran, then it's just theory.

Israel is trying to make a case for attacking Iran on the basis of physics textbooks and the special electrical switches used in photocopier machines. And we must remember that we have already been down this road with Israel twice before, with Israel's claims of a bomb factory underneath Iraq's power station at Osirik (none were found after the bombing) and Syria (again nothing was found after the bombing.

Israel is batting zero with regards to knowing where clandestine bomb factories may be found (outside of their own underneath Dimona) and it is time the world stop paying attention to the little boy who cries nuclear wolf!

IAEA Iran Report Thrives on Laptop of Lies

The US-engineered new allegation against the Islamic Republic which is part of a 15-page document issued by the International Atomic Energy Agency is that Iran carried out “work on the development of an indigenous design of a nuclear weapon including the testing of components. Some activities relevant to the development of a nuclear explosive device continued after 2003” and “some may still be ongoing.” This new allegation is indeed based on the fiction of the laptop of death.

Israeli President Says Attack on Iran is Increasingly Likely

Today the President of Israel, Shimon Peres, said that a military strike against Iran is growing increasingly likely by the day.

This comes just days before the report on Iran’s nuclear program is going to be released by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), a United Nations body.

Peres has been quite clear that the push for an attack on Iran is gaining steam saying that an attack on Iran was becoming “more and more likely” in an interview on Israel’s Channel Two on Saturday.

Peres made this even clearer in a statement to Israel’s Hayom, in which he said, “The possibility of a military attack against Iran is now closer to being applied than the application of a diplomatic option”.

Lobbying for a US war with Iran, AIPAC is pushing a bill that would prohibit diplomacy between the two nations.

Wasting no time after its success in getting the administration to oppose Palestinian statehood at the United Nations, and still celebrating the UNESCO funding cutoff, AIPAC has returned to its number one priority: Pushing for war with Iran.

The Israelis have, of course, played their own part in the big show. In the past few weeks, Israel has been sending out signals that it is getting ready to bomb Iran's nuclear facilities (and embroil the United States in its most calamitous Middle East war yet).

But most observers do not believe an Israeli attack is imminent. (If it were, would Israel telegraph it in advance?) The point of the Israeli threats is to get the United States and the world community to increase pressure on Iran with the justification that unless it does, Israel will attack.

Naturally, the United States Congress, which gets its marching orders on Middle East policy from the lobby - which, in turn, gets its marching orders from Binyamin Netanyahu - is rushing to do what it is told. If only Congress addressed joblessness at home with the same alacrity.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee hurriedly convened this week to consider a new "crippling sanctions" bill that seems less designed to deter an Iranian nuclear weapon than to lay the groundwork for war.

The clearest evidence that war is the intention of the bill's supporters comes in Section 601:

(c) RESTRICTION ON CONTACT - No person employed with the United States Government may contact in an official or unofficial capacity any person that -
(1) is an agent, instrumentality, or official of, is affiliated with, or is serving as a representative of the Government of Iran; and
(2) presents a threat to the United States or is affiliated with terrorist organisations.

(d) WAIVER - The president may waive the requirements of subsection (c) if the president determines and so reports to the appropriate congressional committees 15 days prior to the exercise of waiver authority that failure to exercise such waiver authority would pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the vital national security interests of the United States.

Preventing diplomacy

So what does this mean? It means that neither the president, the secretary of state, nor any US diplomat or emissary may engage in negotiations or diplomacy of any kind unless the president convinces the "appropriate congressional committees" (most significantly, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, which is an AIPAC fiefdom) that not permitting the contacts would pose an "extraordinary threat to the vital national security interests of the United States".

To call this unprecedented is an understatement. At no time in our history has the White House or State Department been restricted from dealing with representatives of a foreign state, even in wartime.

If President Roosevelt wanted to meet with Hitler, he could have, and, of course, he did repeatedly meet with Stalin. During the Cold War, US diplomats maintained continuous contact with the Soviets, a regime that murdered tens of millions, and later with the Chinese regime, which murdered even more. And they did so without needing permission from Congress. (President Nixon was only able to normalise relations with China by means of secret negotiations, which, had they been exposed, would have been torpedoed by the Republican right.)

Israel and the U.S. will embark on the “largest” and “most significant” joint exercise in the allies’ history, said Andrew Shapiro, U.S. assistant secretary for political-military affairs, on Saturday.
Speaking to the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Shapiro said the exercise will involve more than 5,000 U.S. and Israeli forces, and will simulate Israel’s ballistic missile defense.

“Joint exercises allow us to learn from Israel’s experience in urban warfare and counterterrorism,” said Shapiro.

“Israeli technology is proving critical to improving our Homeland Security and protecting our troops,” he added, explaining that Israeli armor plating technology and the specially designed “Israeli bandage”, being used on American troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, are proven successes.

IAEA’s ‘Soviet Nuclear Scientist’ Never Worked on Weapons

The report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) published by a Washington think tank Tuesday repeated the sensational claim previously reported by news media all over the world that a former Soviet nuclear weapons scientist had helped Iran construct a detonation system that could be used for a nuclear weapon.

But it turns out that the foreign expert, who is not named in the IAEA report [.pdf] but was identified in news reports as Vyacheslav Danilenko, is not a nuclear weapons scientist but one of the top specialists in the world in the production of nanodiamonds by explosives.

THE LIE OF THE CENTURY

It is inescapable historical reality that leaders of nations will lie to their people to trick them into wars they otherwise would have refused. It is not "conspiracy theory" to suggest that leaders of nations lie to trick their people into wars. It is undeniable fact.

This brings us to the present case.

Did the government of the United States lie to the American people, more to the point, did President Bush and his Neocon associates lie to Congress, to initiate a war of conquest in Iraq?

This question has been given currency by a memo leaked from inside the British Government which clearly indicates a decision to go to war followed by the "fixing" of information around that policy. This is, as they say, a smoking gun.

I am relinking this because just now on the lower third banner at CNN, the headline read "IAEA: IRAN BUILDING NUCLEAR WEAPONS."

Folks, not only is this not true, it isn't even what the IAEA report said.

The IAEA report states clearly that they did not find any evidence that Iran has diverted fuel for their power station to weapons.

What the IAEA found is that Iran is testing explosives, which has non-nuclear military applications, and Iran is in possession of Krytron switches, which are used in many industrial applications including photocopier machines.

All the other claims in the report and secondary accusations stemming from the "Laptop of Death", a computer literally handed to the US by the MEK in 2004 containing all sorts of incriminating materials.

But there are many reasons to suspect this is another fraud like the forged "Yellow Cake" documents referred to be George W. Bush in his 2003 State of the Union speech. For one, many of the documents from the "Laptop of Death" are in English, a rather strange language to use on what are supposed to be top secret Iranian government documents. Second, while the IAEA was under Elbaradei, and much less politically driven, a request was made for the US to share the actual laptop and its contents with the IAEA for examination and verification. The US Government refused. The IAEA under Elbaradei refused to accept the word of the US Government that the laptop and its contents were genuine and the provided summaries accurate.

Now, of course, Elbaradei is gone and the IAEA under new leadership is considerably more pliant and agreeable to the pro-war agenda, as evidenced by their willingness to refer to the 2004 "Laptop of Death" without any proof that the contents actually came from Iran, or that the information provided by the US Government is an accurate portrayal of the contents. After the lies about Iraq, such gullibility is stupid and dangerous.

So here we are again. Israel is desperate to get the invasion of Iran going right now, before the Americans get kicked out of Iraq and leave the road from Iran to Israel wide open for a retaliatory invasion. And once again the presstitutes of the US media are assuring us there is good reason to destroy Iran, just as they assured us there was good reason to destroy Iraq.

Russia Opposes New Iran Sanctions over IAEA Report

Russia on Wednesday vehemently criticised a U.N. nuclear watchdog report saying Iran appeared to have worked on designing an atom bomb, saying it contained no new evidence and was being used to undercut efforts to reach a diplomatic solution, reports Reuters.

Sharpening opposition to any new sanctions against Iran in the U.N. Security Council, where Russia has veto power, senior diplomats said further punitive measures would be "destructive" and urged a revival of talks between Tehran and global powers.

The Russian remarks came during a visit by a senior Iranian official for talks on the programme which Tehran says is peaceful but the United States and its allies fear is aimed at developing the capability to build atomic weapons.

Russia, China: No new Iran sanctions

Russia and China have voiced their opposition to fresh sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program, the Russian Foreign Ministry has announced.

After a meeting in Moscow, Russian and Chinese diplomats expressed “the mutual conviction that the application of new, additional sanctions against Iran will not lead to the desired result,” Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, Reuters reported on Thursday.

Earlier on Thursday, Chinese Foreign Ministry rejected the idea of imposing additional sanctions against Iran, calling for further dialogue to resolve concerns about the Islamic Republic's nuclear issue.

The US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta has said a military strike against Iran could have "unintended consequences".

He said it would only delay Iran's nuclear efforts by three years at most.

Correspondents say the comments appear to play down speculation that a military strike might be used to cripple Tehran's nuclear programme.

Military action against Iran could have "unintended consequences" in the region, the US defence secretary, Leon Panetta, said on Thursday, hours after Tehran warned that an attack against its nuclear sites would be met with "iron fists".

In a recent conversation with U.S. Secretary of Defense Panetta, Netanyahu and Barak reportedly gave only vague responses on Israel's intentions regarding Iran's nuclear facilities and possibility of independent action.

Israel understands that although they may well start such an attack, it cannot successfully be completed without US military intervention. A Washington official acknowledged that the temperature has been rising and that Israel introduced an unpredictable element. But he reiterated that the policy of the Obama administration was to pursue all diplomatic channels, backed by tougher sanctions, and to avoid military action. "I don't think the US has the stomach for it," said Sam Gardiner, a retired air force colonel who has specialised in war games involving Iran. But if Israel went ahead, it would be hard for the US to stay out. "The US would have to be involved and finish it," he said.

I wouldn't bet against such an attack, or a false flag against an American asset, used as the "excuse du jure" for a military confrontation, before the end of this year (while our military are still in Iraq to catch the shrapnel).

But I would like to hope that those in the bowels of power in DC remember the following: we may very well not win this one, because of the following issues:

1. Because our manufacturing has been primarily outsourced, the Federal government and the military are going to have critical difficulty meeting supply chain demands of such a conflict.

2. Our troops are stretched almost to the breaking point. Even with the re-introduction of the draft, there wouldn't be enough boots on the ground in time to be able to win this.

3. With an ever-ballooning 14 trillion dollars in debt, from the current wars which have left this government morally and fiscally bankrupt, no lender in their collective right mind would loan the US government the money it would take to prosecute such a war.

4. If nuclear-armed Russia and China join the side of Iran in this military misadventure, we are not just looking at the risk of only a small regional conflict, but potentially a global, World War 3-scenario war, to which Panetta alludes when he used the phrase "...unintended consequences."

U.S. Still Pressuring Kuwait to Allow More Combat Troops

The U.S. is still engaged in negotiations with Kuwait over redeploying there thousands of U.S. combat troops now exiting Iraq, despite initial push-back from the Gulf state.

“Discussions are underway” with Kuwaiti leaders while no final agreement has been reached, anonymous senior defense official told the Associated Press.

The United States already has well over 20,000 forces in Kuwait more or less permanently, but commanders and administration officials are seeking to boost the military’s presence in the region, citing concern over Iranian influence and the need to have proximate forces ready to attack in case of instability in Iraq.

This has nothing to do with Iraq, whose government has told the US military to get out and stay out; Moqtada Al Sadr, the popular Shiite cleric, has warned that if one American stays beyond 31 December, he and his military will unleash hell. Sadr, whose Mehdi Army militia once battled U.S. and Iraqi troops, has opposed any U.S. military footprint and his bloc is a key part of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's fragile coalition. "We do not accept any kind of U.S. presence in Iraq, whether it is military or not," Sadr said in an interview aired on al-Arabiya television. "If they stay in Iraq, through a military or non-military (presence) ... we will consider them an occupation and we will resist them whatever the price will be. Even a civilian presence, we reject it," the cleric said.

If the US is pressuring the Kuwaiti government to allow more combat troops, this almost certainly has to do with pre-positioning US troops for a potential attack against Iran.

Obama to Aid Uzbek Dictatorship

The U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, in a move initiated by the Obama administration, has voted to waive Bush-era human rights restrictions on military aid to the Islam Karimov dictatorship in Uzbekistan, one of the most brutal and repressive regimes on the planet. The lifting of the restrictions, now part of the Foreign Operations bill, is before the full Senate and appears to have bipartisan support. The Obama administration has indicated that it intends to provide taxpayer-funded military assistance to Uzbekistan once the legislation passes both houses of Congress.

Reports: U.S. Military to Help Fight Nigerian Terrorists

The Pentagon’s shadow war in Africa could have a new front, if reports coming out of Nigeria are accurate. U.S. troops are headed to Nigeria to help local forces do battle with Boko Haram, an Islamic terror group that has killed up to 400 people this year in an escalating campaign of bombings and shootings. At least that’s what Nigerian military sources tell Scott Morgan, a journalist based in Washington, D.C. who writes under the pseudonym “Confused Eagle.” The Guardian also has the story.

An all-out offensive against the Al-Shabaab Islamic resistance movement based in Somalia is currently underway in the southern region of this Horn of Africa nation. A combined force of U.S. Predator drones and French naval vessels is targeting four towns in the southern region so that Kenyan military forces on the ground can seize Kismayo, a port city under the control of Al-Shabaab. The city is a major source of trade and serves as the economic lifeline for the resistance movement, which has been labeled by the U.S. as a terrorist organization allied with al-Qaida.

The United States is planning to sell thousands of advanced "bunker-buster" bombs and other ammunitions to the United Arab Emirates, as a part of its efforts to counter Iran.

The plan comes after US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta’s statement that the country opposed the Iranian nuclear programme, but using force against Iran was the last option.

The proposed package would authorise the sale of up to 4,900 joint direct attack munitions (JDAMs) and other weapons to the UAE, the Wall Street Journal reports.

In a proposal that meant to neuter the convention, Washington now is pushing to permit the use of cluster bombs as long as they were manufactured after 1980 and had a failure rate of less than one per cent.

Take a good hard look at the kid in the photo. He has a name: it is Ahmed Kamel, a 12 year old Iraqi child who had his hands blown off by one of these cluster bombs. He had a family; perhaps he dreamed of a future; but that future has been stolen from him. This is not "collateral damage"; this is a real, maimed-for-life, child, for God's sake!

And "...the Obama administration is currently leading the cause to keep them legal."?!?!?

What kind of monsters are we dealing with here?!?The worst kind; the kind who love money, and don't care where they make it. And here is the money trail.

In April 2009, Barclays and HSBC were involved in a major financing deal with Extrusion, a US arms manufacturer that builds a "sensor fused weapon" – the world's most powerful cluster bomb. Alliant Techsystems makes the weapon's rocket motor. Textron issued $757.4m worth of bonds and shares with the financial aid of a 10-bank syndicate. HSBC and Barclays combined underwrote $44.6m worth of loans. Barclays then went on to invest a further $75m in a separate Textron bond deal five months later. The report on the banks, a joint piece of research by the Dutch and Belgium NGOs IKV Pax Christi and Netwerk Vlaaneren, reveals that since May 2008, 166 financial institutions across the world have invested an estimated $39bn in the eight largest cluster-munitions manufacturers. None of these investments is illegal. But they will lead to further concerns about the moral behaviour of the banking industry at a time of public anger over its role in the credit crisis and bankers' bonuses.

Exxon Mobil's oil and gas exploration agreement with Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurds, who're at odds with Baghdad over the country's energy wealth, marks a significant, and tantalizing, departure by U.S. oilmen amid the current military withdrawal.

The breakaway move into Kurdistan, the first by any of the oil majors operating in Iraq under 20-year production contract signed in 2009, could cost Exxon Mobil its stake in the giant West Qurna Phase One mega-oil field in southern Iraq.

Although this deal was reported in the Guardian on-line The American energy giant Exxon Mobil today won the right to develop one of the world's most prized untapped oil reserves, in a $50bn (£30bn) deal that will entrench the company as one of the largest players in postwar Iraq. and also at Reuters when it happened, I certainly do not remember hearing a lot of fanfare on this deal by Corporate news outlets.

But that wasn't enough; they just had to do a separate deal with the Kurds, to the outrage of the Iraqi government. It will be interesting to see how this plays out; but it is clear now, that at least one US corporations got its blood-soaked oil deals as of 2009. Looks like their campaign contributions to the Bush/Cheney regime finally paid off, from 1999 forward.

The Pentagon lifted the veil of secrecy Wednesday on a new battle concept aimed at countering Chinese military efforts to deny access to areas near its territory and in cyberspace.

The Air Sea Battle concept is the start of what defense officials say is the early stage of a new Cold War-style military posture toward China.

The plan calls for preparing the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps to defeat China’s “anti-access, area denial weapons,” including anti-satellite weapons, cyberweapons, submarines, stealth aircraft and long-range missiles that can hit aircraft carriers at sea.

A senior Obama administration official was more blunt, saying the new concept is a significant milestone signaling a new Cold War-style approach to China.

You can almost hear US defense contractors salivating in financial ecstasy at the concept!

But I have to wonder here; With a 14 trillion Federal dollar deficit, and so many people seriously hurting financially here, just where the heck is the money is going to come from?!?

United Nations pussies out to Israel again.

A Palestinian bid for full United Nations membership has failed to win approval in the U.N. Security Council committee that deals with new members. Friday’s outcome was not unexpected.

The committee met Friday to adopt a report saying the 15 members were “unable to make a unanimous recommendation to the Security Council” to admit the Palestinians. The committee will now send the report to the council, which will decide what, if any, actions to take.

The Palestinians, frustrated by stalled peace talks with Israel, launched a bid for statehood via the United Nations in September. But several member states, including the United States, have said the only road to statehood goes through peace talks.

De 2002 à 2006 il a été vice-président pour l’Europe de Goldman Sachs, la sulfureuse banque d’affaires américaine. Il vient d’être nommé président de la Banque centrale européenne (BCE).

Mon second s’appelle Loukas Papadimos. Lui aussi est diplômé du Massachussetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Il a été professeur à l’Université américaine de Columbia avant de devenir conseiller économique de la Banque de réserve fédérale de Boston. De 1994 à 2002, il a été gouverneur de la Banque de Grèce : poste qu’il occupait quand la Grèce s’est « qualifiée » pour l’euro, grâce à des comptes falsifiés par Goldman Sachs. Puis, il a été vice-président de la Banque centrale européenne (BCE). Il vient d’être nommé, sur pression de l’Union européenne et du G20, premier ministre de Grèce avec le soutien des deux partis dominants.

Mon troisième s’appelle Mario Monti. Il est diplôme de l’Université de Yale. Il a étudié le comportement des banques en régime de monopole. Puis il a été durant dix ans commissaire européen, de 1994 à 2004. D’abord « au marché intérieur et aux droits de douane » (ou plutôt à leur suppression) puis à la concurrence. Membre de la Trilatérale et du groupe de Bilderberg – selon Wikipédia – il a été nommé conseiller international de Goldman Sachs en 2005. Il vient d’être nommé sénateur à vie et l’Union européenne et le G20 tentent de l’imposer comme président du conseil italien.

Mon tout c’est trois financiers européens (?), trois hommes de la superclasse mondiale, formés dans les universités américaines et étroitement liés à Goldman Sachs.

« Government Sachs » : aux commandes de l’Europe ?

La banque Goldman Sachs est surnommée aux Etats-Unis « government Sachs » tant elle est influente sur le gouvernement américain. Le secrétaire au Trésor de Clinton, Robert Rubin, qui procéda à la dérégulation financière, venait de Goldman Sachs. Tout comme le secrétaire au Trésor de Bush, Hank Paulson, qui transféra aux Etats les dettes pourries des banques, lors de la crise financière. L’actuel président de Goldman Sachs, Llyod Blankfein, aime à dire qu’il « fait le métier de dieu ». En fait, Goldman Sachs est au cœur de la prédation financière et elle est impliquée dans de nombreux scandales financiers : celui des « subprimes », celui de la tromperie de ses clients (à qui elle recommandait d’acheter des produits financiers sur lesquels elle spéculait à la baisse), celui du maquillage des comptes grecs.

Ce sont les hommes de Goldman Sachs qui sont aujourd’hui poussés aux commandes. Par quels moyens ? Et pour quelles fins ? Faire prendre en charge par les peuples les fautes des banques ? Faire sauver l’Amérique par les Européens ?

Dans six mois – et sauf imprévu – les Français vont élire un nouveau président de la République : il serait prudent de leur part de demander aux trois principaux candidats (en l’état, François Hollande, Marine Le Pen et Nicolas Sarkozy) de s’engager à ne pas se faire imposer comme premier ministre un… ancien de chez Goldman Sachs.
