Eight months later, the plant remains a shambles. Mangled trucks, flipped over by the power of the wave, still clutter its access roads. Rubble remains strewn where it fell. Pools of water cover parts of the once immaculate campus.
Tens of thousands of the plant's former neighbors may never be able to go home. And just as Hiroshima and Nagasaki become icons of the horrors of nuclear weapons, Fukushima has become the new rallying cry of the global anti-nuclear energy movement.
That the Japanese people didn't fire their government after this catastrophe, and that the Board of Directors at TEPCO wasn't voted out of office, and run out of town by their investors never fails to amaze me.
But horrendously grim outcome of this event next month for Japan will be the birth of children whose moms and dads were exposed to horrendous doses of radiation right around the time their moms conceived.
Taipei Times notes today that, according to a Japanese author:
A professor from the University of Tokyo has even estimated that it would cost up to ?800 trillion [U.S. $10 trillion dollars], amounting to approximately 10 years of the national budget, if the soil and road surface of radiation-affected areas are to be cleaned up.
The damage is so much that the Japanese government would go well beyond bankruptcy, Liu said.
Of course, the Japanese government’s entire strategy from day one has been to cover up the severity of the Fukushima accident.
Given that Japan either won’t or is unwilling to pay for a real clean up of the Fukushima radiation, it appears that the people of Japan will pay for the accident with their health for generations to come.
Nuke agency reports unusual radiation in Europe - (IAEA: not the result of Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster)
The United Nations nuclear agency is reporting higher than normal radiation levels in the Czech Republic and elsewhere in Europe, but states the increase is not a public health risk. The International Atomic Energy Agency says that “very low levels” of iodine-131 have been measured in the atmosphere.
The IAEA does not know the source of the radiation, but says it is not related to Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, which spread radiation around the world in March.
Following the disaster, scientists warned that Fukushima radiation posed a threat to Europe. In April, an independent French radiation commission said the health risk from iodine-131 contaminationwas “no longer negligible.”
Nuclear agency reports low, but unusual, radiation across Europe, Associated Press, November 11, 2011:
“The International Atomic Energy Agency [...] said the cause [of the radiation across Europe] was not known but was not the result of Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster” [...]
“However, an official familiar with the matter, who asked for anonymity because he was not authorized to comment, said the release appeared to be continuing.”
“The agency said that it was investigating.” [...]
Elevated radiation also in Germany, Sweden, Slovakia — UK expert claims iodine very unlikely from Fukushima since it was “so many months ago”
Low levels of radioactive particles in Europe: IAEA, Reuters, Nov. 11, 2011:
“Germany’s Environment Ministry said slightly higher levels of radioactive iodine had been measured in the north of the country” [...]
“Slovakia [... and] Sweden also reported traces [in addition to Austria, Czech Republic, and Hungary]”
Professor Malcolm Sperrin, director of medical physics at Britain’s Royal Berkshire Hospital, .
- Sperrin “said any link with Fukushima was extremely unlikely”
- “It is far more likely that the iodine may be as a result of excretion by patients undergoing medical treatment. Whilst such patients are carefully controlled, some release of iodine into the environment may be inevitable…”
Czech State Office for Nuclear Safety chief Dana Drabova:
- “It was detected by our radiation monitoring network, with probability bordering on certainty the source is abroad. It is iodine-131 and we have asked the IAEA if they know what the source could be.”
Paddy Regan, a professor of nuclear physics at Britain’s University of Surrey:
- Regan says the suggestion that the iodine may have leaked from a radiopharmaceuticals maker “sounds very sensible and totally reasonable.”
- “It would be very unlikely for it to have come from Fukushima since the accident was so many months ago and iodine-131 has a brief half-life.”
Hungarian gov’t radiation expert: Iodine-131 detected in Budapest, but it’s OK because “this is far below the levels found after Fukushima”
Nov. 11 — Dr Geza Safrany of Hungary’s National Research Institute for Radiobiology and Radiohygiene told Reuters:
- “A very minimal increase in activity was registered (in Hungary) on Nov. 5 … but this is far below the levels found after Fukushima”
- “For the time being the source of the leakage cannot be determined”
- Detections were made at monitoring stations in Budapest and the eastern town of Miskolc
- He said it was unlikely Hungary would be the source of the leakage as it was detected in several places in Europe
JUST IN: Iodine-131 now detected in Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary… other countries — An indicator of nuclear chain reaction — 10 days after criticality talk at Fukushima
Traces of iodine-131 detected in Europe, Trend, November 11, 2011:
“Low levels of a radioactive isotope have been detected in several European countries in the past days, but the source of the emission was unknown, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said Friday, DPA reported.” [...]
‘”But it’s a concern because there is a source somewhere,” an offical close to the IAEA said, adding that atmospheric measurements were made in countries including Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary.” [...]
“People who take a transatlantic flight are exposed to a radiation dose 40,000 times as high as the one detected recently, the Vienna health ministry said.”
From the International Atomic Energy Agency’s brief statement on the detection:
- “The IAEA has learned about similar measurements in other locations across Europe”
- “The IAEA believes the current trace levels of iodine-131 that have been measured do not pose a public health risk and are not caused by the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident in Japan”
- “The IAEA is working with its counterparts to determine the cause and origin of the iodine-131.”
The iodine-131 finding comes around 10 days after the announcement of xenon at Fukushima, which was suspected to be caused by a criticality.
How long did it take for radioactive particles from Japan to reach Europe back in March?
“The substances were blown eastward by a jet stream traveling at a speed of some 3,000 kilometres a day, arriving on the US West Coast on March 18, in Iceland on March 20, and many other European countries on March 22, the researchers said.” -DPA
Because radioactive releases after the March 11 quake occurred almost immediately, the radioactive isotopes from Japan took about 10-11 days to reach Europe.
UPDATE via BBC at 9:25am ET (h/t Bobby1):
“The Czech nuclear security authority said it had been detecting radioactive iodine-131 at a number of monitoring stations since late October and had informed the IAEA to see if it could identify the source, Reuters reports.”
“Czech nuclear safety chief Dana Drabova said the iodine could have leaked during production of radiopharmaceuticals.”
“It was certainly not from a nuclear power plant, she said, adding that they were almost certain that the source was abroad.”
Poland tries to blame Pakistan for iodine-131 over Europe — Pakistan says no: “Release of Iodine-131 is not possible unless there is a nuclear fuel failure”
No KANUPP linkage to Radioactivity in Europe, PAEC clarifies, AP of Pakistan, Nov. 12, 2011:
Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) on Sunday refuted a news item appeared in a section of national and international media alleging that higher than normal radioactivity noticed in parts of Europe could have originated from the recent KANUPP incident. [...]
The release of Iodine-131 is not possible unless there is a nuclear fuel failure, while the incident at KANUPP involved leakage of heavy water which contains tritium and not Iodine-131, said the official.
Higher radiation levels were detected in Poland and Ukraine even before October 19 when the KANUPP incident had not even taken place. [...]
The entire news item is based upon the statement attributed to the spokesman of the Polish atomic energy agency who only said: “Unconfirmed reports suggest there may have been an incident at a nuclear power station in Pakistan but this requires further confirmation”.
And he did not cite any evidence or proof. [...]
Reactors No. 5 and 6 were NOT in cold shutdown after quake, implies report by US nuclear industry — Cooling at Spent Fuel Pool No. 5 stopped until cables installed — Fresh fuel had been loaded into both reactors
Special Report on the Nuclear Accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, INPO (Institute of Nuclear Power Operations), November 2011 [Emphasis Added]:
- “Four of the five emergency diesel generators on units 5 and 6 were inoperable after the tsunami”
- “One air-cooled emergency diesel generator on Unit 6 continued to function and supplied electrical power to Unit 6, and later to Unit 5, to maintain cooling to the reactor and spent fuel pool.”
- “Unit 5 had been shut down and in an outage since January 3, 2011. Fuel had been loaded into the reactor and the reactor pressure vessel (RPV) reassembled.”
- “Unit 6 had been shut down and in an outage since August 14, 2010. Fuel had been loaded into the reactor and the RPV reassembled.”
- “The Unit 6 air-cooled EDG and portions of the electrical distribution system survived the tsunami and were used to reestablish cold shutdown on units 5 and 6.”
- “After the tsunami impacted the site, operators were able to use the 6B emergency diesel generator (EDG) to provide power to cooling systems for the Unit 6 spent fuel pool. After installing temporary cables, the 6B EDG [generator] provided power to Unit 5 spent fuel pool cooling.”
Reactor 5 and 6 had criticality as well, Fukushima Diary by Mochizuki, November 12, 2011:
Mochizuki goes over three points which lead to his conclusion that the data “proves nuclear fuel had meltdown and melt outed to get out of the container vessels” at Fukushima Daiichi Reactors No. 5 and 6:
Iodine at end of April
On Tepco’s press release data of 4/25/2011, Iodine-133 [EDIT: likely iodine-131, as stated in chart below] was measured at intake of reactor 5 and 6.
- 0.15 Bq/cm3 8:50 on 4/24/2011 (150 Bq/liter)
- 0.23 Bq/cm3 14:30 on 4/24/2011 (230 Bq/liter)
Reactor Temperature in June
Also, according to press release data of 6/13/2011, the temperature of reactor 5 and 6 were hotter than 200ºC, and data of 3/11~3/15 are concealed. Even on 3/19/2011, they were still 183°C and 167°C.
Water Under Containment Vessels
5/16/2011, Tepco released data of how much contaminated water is sticked [sic] under the container vessels [...]
- 300 cubic meters under reactor 5
- 13,500 cubic meters under reactor 6
It proves nuclear fuel had meltdown and melt outed to get out of the container vessels.
UPDATE: Reactors No. 5 and 6 were NOT in cold shutdown after quake, implies report by US nuclear industry -- Cooling at Spent Fuel Pool No. 5 stopped until cables installed -- Fresh fuel had been loaded into both reactors
News Flash: Massive nuclear demonstration in Japan — Citizens are standing up for their lives more than ever before (VIDEO)
Uploaded by: AluminumStudios
Date: Nov 13, 2011
I received a last minute message from youtube user cideroipunx (thank you!) letting me know of a huge anti-nuclear demonstration being held in Fukuoka on Sunday Nov. 12th. I grabbed my camera and hopped on a train!
I’ll make video to talk about it in details, but I just uploaded this as a brief news flash for now. There were over 10,000 people. Everyone assembled in a large park several hours before the demonstration and there were talks given on stage, a taiko drum performance, and various booths both selling things and with information. It was really huge and organized. Then everyone took to the streets and through Tenjin, a major center of the city of Fukuoka. It was all peaceful and organized and very impressive. It was probably one of the largest anti-nuclear demonstrations in Japan to date.
These Japanese people should be the model for the rest of the people in this nation. They have the bravery to stand up for what they believe and speak out, yet they retain the manners that they hold important while doing it. If this nation is to survive and prosper in the future, more people need to be willing to stand up like this and not accept the bullshit that the government and industries give and tell them.
Study: Children’s respiratory problems at 700% previous levels, Hemorrhaging at 900% in areas contaminated by Chernobyl meltdown
Female reproductive function in areas affected by radiation after the Chernobyl power station accident, Environ Health Perspect. 1993 July; 101(Suppl 2): 117–123:
- “The rate of extragenital pathology during pregnancy increased in the years after the accident from 23.1% in 1982 to 33.9% in 1990 in Chechersky and from 7.1% to 51.2% in Polessky over the same period (Fig. 2). The main pathologies in both districts were anemia of pregnancy, renal disorders, transient hypertension, and abnormalities of fat metabolism.”
- “The main complication in the postnatal stages was anemia, which increased in incidence progressively in the years after the accident. The increase in rates of incidence between 1983 and 1990 were from 9.1% to 15.2% in Chechersky and from 1.1% to 9.3% in Polessky.”
- The incidence of neonatal morbidity increased 3-fold in Polessky and 2-fold in Chechersky following the accident (Fig. 5). The diseases recorded were hypoxia, congenital abnormalities, respiratory distress, infections, and inflammatory disease. Fetal and neonatal hypoxia was twice as common. Respiratory distress increased 7-fold in Chechersky and by a factor of 2 in Polessky (Fig. 6).
- Hemorrhagic syndromes increased in frequency 9-fold and were manifest as alimentary hemorrhage causing melena or subcutaneous hemorrhage. The pre-accident incidence was 0.5-1.0%, increasing to 4.4% (Polessky) and 5.1% (Chechersky) in 1990.
- In the years following the accident, there was a general decline in the health index with a 3-fold reduction in the number of children in group 1 in comparison to the general population. Simultaneously, the number of ill children increased by a factor of 2.4 in both polluted areas
- We carried out an extensive and complex investigation of pregnant women and their offspring after the accident at Chernobyl in April 1986 and calculated that the health of the mothers, fetuses and children differed significantly from the physiological norm. There was a specific complex of adaptational and pathological abnormalities of various organs and systems.
- The female reproductive system itself remained intact, but defective compensatory and adaptational mechanisms of the mothers and fetoplacental units resulted in diseases of the neonates that are still, at present, progressing.
- The general deterioration of the health of mothers and children is similar in all the polluted areas of Russia, viz., Belorussia and the Ukraine, and it must be concluded that this effect was caused by radiation, which triggered a complex pattern of bodily dysfunction. [...]
- The disorders and diseases revealed by this survey make it necessary to undertake special programs of prophylaxis and treatment in the population groups affected by radioactive contamination. Social measures are required to prevent prenatal abnormalities by way of optimizing conditions for the protection of the fetoplacental complex. This is essential to reduce the hazardous consequences of the Chernobyl accident and to preserve the health of posterity.
I noted in June that debris from carried out to sea in the Japanese tsunami would hit the Western U.S. and Canada within a year or so, and that nuclear engineer Arnie Gundersen urged us to demand testing of radioactivity from the American government.
It turns out that scientists underestimated the speed with which the debris would reach the Western coast of North America.
Senator: We need agressive plan to deal with mass of “toxic debris” headed to US from Japan — Concern over hazards to people, fish & clogged waterways
U.S. must have plan to deal with huge debris field from Japan, The Olympian, November 10, 2011:
[...] “U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell [(D-WA) ...] recently inserted an amendment into a Senate bill that instructs the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to come up with a contingency plan for what could be the biggest onslaught of marine garbage ever to hit North America. [... It] directs NOAA to coordinate with the Environmental Protection Agency and other groups to brace for everything from clogged waterways to hazards to fish and beachgoers.” [...]
“Jan Hafner, a scientific computer programmer and the principal researcher on the tsunami debris project said [...] “We are trying to get across our message that it is coming and it’s about time to start planning some action.”‘ [...]
“Left unchecked, the debris could threaten multimillion-dollar fishing, shipping and recreational industries 5,000 miles from Japan.”
“There’s too much at stake to ignore the threats of the Japan tsunami debris. The feds must adopt a plan then devote the necessary resources to ease the economic and environmental impacts of the 20 million tons of trash headed our way.”
Cantwell told her Senate colleagues:
- “It will take the U.S. many years to continue to see the impacts of this.”
- “Whole communities were swept out to sea in an unwieldy mass of toxic debris.”
- “We can’t wait until all of this tsunami trash washes ashore. We need to have an aggressive plan on how we’re going to deal with it.”
Eight months after a tsunami caused a nuclear accident in Japan, ordinary people are using new technology and the power of crowdsourcing to find radiation hotspots.
A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 on the Richter scale has hit off the shores of Japan's southern Okinawa Island.
According to Japanese officials the Tuesday quake which took place about 220 kilometers away from the island is not expected to cause a tsunami, Reuters reported.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
Fukushima health concerns, Japan Times Editorial, Nov. 8, 2011 at 7:00 pm ET:
[...] “Tepco and the central government must do their best to prevent workers’ overexposure to radiation and take necessary measures should workers become overexposed to radiation.”
“It is of great concern that little has been disclosed regarding the conditions of the workers at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant. Tepco and the central government should disseminate information on the actual working conditions of these people” [...]

Nov. 7 — “A survey shows that some children in Fukushima Prefecture have smaller average weight gains this year compared to the year before. A pediatrician says the results indicate the negative effects of the nuclear plant accident in March,” reports NHK.
“Doctor Shintaro Kikuchi tracked the weights of 245 children aged from 4 to 6 in 2 kindergartens in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. The results show an average weight increase of 0.81 kilograms over the past year through June. The increase for children in the same age group the previous year was 3.1 kilograms.”
Another doctor gives a comment about this.
@GoodBye_Nuclear [Translated Tweet, Emphasis Added]
Dr.Kikuchi states it may be because children can’t play outside, they lost muscles. However, mothers testify their children don’t say they are hungry anymore. It’s very unusual. Some of the children have grown only by 500g through the year [1.1 pounds].
Nov. 7 — Japan’s state-run TV station reported, “NHK asked 10 electric power companies that manage nuclear power plants if they have experienced attacks on their computer networks in the past year. Tokyo Electric Power Company, Hokkaido Electric Power Company and Tohoku Electric Power Company said they had received targeted cyber attacks.”

There was a dose-dependent relation between exposure to radiation from cardiac procedures and subsequent risk of cancer. For every 10 mSv of low-dose ionizing radiation, there was a 3% increase in the risk of age- and sex-adjusted cancer over a mean follow-up period of five years [...]
Exposure to low-dose ionizing radiation from cardiac imaging and therapeutic procedures after acute myocardial infarction is associated with an increased risk of cancer. [...]
Authors of several studies have estimated that the risk of cancer is not negligible among patients exposed to low-dose ionizing radiation.22–27 To our knowledge, none of these studies directly linked cumulative exposure and cancer risk. [...]
We found that a substantial proportion of patients were exposed to high levels of low-dose ionizing radiation from cardiac imaging and therapeutic procedures after acute myocardial infarction. We were able to show that exposure to radiation from cardiac imaging was associated with an increased risk of cancer in this patient population. Even moderate levels of exposure were associated with an increased risk of cancer.
These results call into question whether our current enthusiasm for imaging and therapeutic procedures after acute myocardial infarction should be tempered. We should at least consider putting into place a system of prospectively documenting the imaging tests and procedures that each patient undergoes and estimating his or her cumulative exposure to low-dose ionizing radiation.
Japanese emperor to be admitted to the hospital on bronchitis fears, Reuters, November 7, 2011:
“Japanese Emperor Akihito is due to be hospitalized on Sunday with a cold, fever and symptoms of bronchitis, Kyodo news agency reported [...] because the fever worsened the bronchitis symptoms and he appeared fatigued and has lost some resistance to fight his illness.”
“Five days after the devastating earthquake and tsunami struck Japan’s northeast, Akihito made a rare public televised address and in April traveled to the disaster-struck area with Empress Michiko, 77.”

NHK: Fears that walls of Fukushima spent fuel pools will erode — Tepco working to keep salt from causing holes (VIDEO)
Nov. 7 — The operator of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant has begun removing radioactive cesium from water in the No. 2 spent fuel pool, according to NHK.
“There are fears that the metal pipes and walls of the spent fuel pools will erode, as seawater was used after the accident to cool down the spent fuel pools.”
Tepco said removal of cesium from the spent fuel pool water is necessary to remove the salt. “Erosion caused by salt may cause holes to form,” reports NHK.

Japan-based Author: Fukushima damage so great “Japan gov’t would go well beyond bankruptcy” — Up to $10 trillion says Tokyo prof. — Equal to 10 years of national budget
Writer urges Taiwan to abandon nuclear power, Taipei Times, Nov. 9, 2011:
Saying that the compensation for damage caused by the nuclear crisis at the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant in Japan was way beyond what Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO) or the Japanese government could afford, a Japan-based Taiwanese writer yesterday urged Taiwan to abandon all nuclear power.
Writer Liu Li-erh (劉黎兒), who has lived in Tokyo for 30 years, made the appeal at a press conference held at the legislature [...]
Liu said the president of TEPCO had remarked that nuclear power was actually a very expensive power source when compensation fees are calculated, and that a professor from the University of Tokyo has even estimated that it would cost up to ￥800 trillion, amounting to approximately 10 years of the national budget, if the soil and road surface of radiation-affected areas are to be cleaned up.
The damage is so much that the Japanese government would go well beyond bankruptcy, Liu said.
Shukan Asahi reporter says he heard ambulances come to Fukushima plant “at least for 10 times a day” (VIDEO)
Nov. 9 — “A journalist of Shukan Asahi, Mr. Imanishi was invited to go into the site by an actual Fukushima worker,” reports Mochizuki.
Mochizuki reveals the reporter stated, “He heard ambulance comes to the plant at least for 10 times a day.”
The Economist: Fukushima engineer reveals workers “often keeled over” while clearing radioactive rubble, heat blamed — Taken away in ambulance, “usually” they returned
Nov. 5 — Setting the scene for its revealing report on the plight of workers at Fukushima Daiichi, the Economist details conditions outside the stricken plant. “Patrol cars stop passing vehicles,” notes the reporter, “The police are particularly vigilant in preventing unauthorised people getting near the stricken plant.”
Meet the Workers
“The air of secrecy is compounded when you try to approach workers involved in the nightmarish task of stabilising the nuclear plant. Many are not salaried Tepco staff but low-paid contract workers lodging in Iwaki, just south of the exclusion zone.”
“It is easy to spot them, in their nylon tracksuits — They seem to have been recruited from the poorest corners of society”:
- One calls home from a pay phone because he can’t afford a mobile phone
- Another has a single front tooth
- Both are reluctant to talk to journalist (condition of employment is silence)
- They share their concerns about safety
- One said he got 30 minutes of safety training
- He said almost everything he learned about radiation risks came from TV
Hiroyuki Watanabe, an Iwaki official reports there are “many safety breaches.” “Workers wading through contaminated water complain that their boots have holes in them — Some are not instructed in when to change the filters on their safety masks,” according to Watanabe.
“Even such basic tools as wrenches are in short supply, he claims. Tepco is shielded by a lack of media scrutiny. The councillor shows a Tepco gagging order that one local boss had to sign. Article four bans all discussion of the work with outsiders. All requests for media interviews must be rejected.”
“One engineer who has played a front-line role in helping cool the meltdown of Fukushima’s three reactors spoke unwittingly to The Economist.”
The engineer revealed to the Econominst the in May, “The hardest work was done by the low-level labourers. They had so much rubble to clear, he says, that they often keeled over in the heat under the weight of their protective gear. Taken out in ambulances, they would usually be back the following day.”

- “The spent fuel pool is totally left outside, out of control so what you can even see it from out of the reactor”
- “The wall of the reactors are about 1m thick of huge concrete mass. It is blown off.”
- “It shows how much the explosion(s) were more massive that they were announced by the government.”

Decontamination Scandal: Japan experts say gov’t just waiting for radioactivity to decrease by itself — “I really doubt their seriousness” says professor
Radiation cleanup plan falls short, Japan Times, Nov. 9, 2011:
Experts liken current strategy to letting nature run its course [...]
“I really doubt their seriousness (about decontamination),” said radiation expert Tomoya Yamauchi, a professor at the Graduate School of Maritime Sciences at Kobe University. [...]
[The gov't has] the goal of reducing the contamination by 50 to 60 percent over two years.
Decontamination efforts by humans, however, are expected to only yield a reduction of 10 to 20 percent. [...]
The experts said the government’s goal of human effort achieving a 10 to 20 percent reduction is not ambitious enough.
“A 10 percent reduction doesn’t really mean anything. I mean, 40 percent of the radiation would be reduced just by natural causes, so I think the government is almost saying it is just going to wait for the radioactive materials to decrease naturally,” said Shunichi Tanaka, former chairman of the Atomic Energy Society of Japan. Eyewitness report – inside the wreckage of Japan’s Fukushima nuclear reactor, Telegraph, Nov. 12, 2011:
Our buses drove between the reactors and the sea. I noticed a 13 feet sea wall built with rocks in black nets, which TEPCO said was a makeshift defence against future tsunami.
A glance at my radiation reader revealed the levels were 300 microsieverts per hour – the highest reading of my visit.

Summary via Fukushima Diary:
- Fukushima resident Mr.Toshiyuki said he saw a yellow flash before the blast at Reactor No. 3
- He is a man from Iwaki, about 50km away from the Fukushima plant
- He has a daughter, son, wife and parents, and is self-employed in the medical industry
- When the No. 3 exploded on March 14, he was 50 km away
- “He says he was more surprised at the yellow light/flash than the explosion itself”
- “We at Fukushima Diary are looking for potential explanations for what the yellow light / flash was”
Former Tepco employee: Plutonium and uranium in Reactor No. 3 has all been blown out — This was no ordinary explosion — Gov’t is concealing truth (VIDEO)

Description: This report was broadcasted on October, 18 and 24 by the german TV-station WDR. WDR is a part of the public channel ARD. Their Japan-correspondent went to Minamisoma for a week and talked to people there about their lives after the Fukushima catastrophe. Thanks to sievert311 and tokyobrowntabby who told me about this report! Please forgive if I wrote wrong some names; I could only refer to the audio…
Excerpt at 3:50 into program
And then Mr. Haneda tells us he used to work for TEPCO, the nuclear power plant operator. He was at the Fukushima nuclear power plant, when the accident took place.
“Unit 3, Fukushima – this was no ordinary explosion. There has been a chain reaction of uranium and plutonium. That’s all been blown out. But no one does measurements. I believe the government does not want to have them done. Not only Tepco is lying – even our government is concealing the truth.”
A chain reaction of uranium and plutonium, if that’s true: it would be something like an atomic bomb explosion.

Japan Times: Official told of extremely bad conditions at Fukushima — Workers often abandoned after exceeding radiation limit
Calm at J. Village belies the danger, Japan Times, Nov. 12, 2011:
[...] “serious problems have remained for workers at Fukushima No. 1, insiders say.”
“Hiroyuki Watanabe, a member of the Iwaki Municipal Assembly, has interviewed about 20 nuclear plant workers and some have told him conditions were extremely bad.” [...]
“Many were sent by subcontractor dispatch companies that do not provide job or health insurance, which is illegal, Watanabe said.”
“The workers are often abandoned by personnel companies once their cumulative radiation exposure exceeds the legal limits, Watanabe said.” [...]
“Tepco is running out of midlevel skilled nuclear plant workers, given the legal limit for radiation exposure, [Yukiteru Naka, who runs the nuclear plant maintenance company Tohoku Enterprise Co.] warned.”
An American Look at Fukushima, Minute by Minute, New York Times, Nov. 11, 2011:
“One lesson involves the nature of radiation protection for plant workers in an emergency. Two operators received more than 60 rem (0.6 Sv), far above the level at which changes in blood chemistry can be observed and almost at the level where symptoms like nausea and vomiting begin.”
“But most of the dose came not from walking around in places where radiation was present – it was internal, meaning it was from particles inhaled or swallowed by the workers. Radioactive material that is lodged in the body will deliver a dose for an extended period.”
A Visit to Fukushima Begins, New York Times, Nov. 11, 2011:
[... T]he Japanese government is opening the compound and surrounding area to the media for the first time. On Friday, officials took a group of reporters, including Martin Fackler of The New York Times, on a tour of J-Village, a former sports center near the plant that is now being used to house workers laboring to bring the plant’s reactors under control.
[...] “The medical center has never treated a case of radiation exposure. Fukushima Daiichi did have a radiation exposure case in March, but the person was treated elsewhere.”
“Some 2,400 workers have come for checks, but mostly for colds.”
Notice the contradiction between the two New York Times reports from the 11th? Perhaps being on the Tepco public relations tour interfered with Mr. Fackler’s ability to properly research this vital issue.
US nuke industry report: Explosions at Fukushima Units 1, 3, 4 may have caused inventory (nuclear rods) to be lost from spent fuel pools — “Debris” on ground near Unit 3 was extremely radioactive after blast
Special Report on the Nuclear Accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, INPO (Institute of Nuclear Power Operations), November 2011 [Emphasis Added]:
- “Hydrogen explosions in the units 1, 3, and 4 reactor buildings, coupled with the loss of the blowout panel in Unit 2, resulted in the SFPs of all units being exposed to atmosphere. The explosions may have also caused additional inventory to be lost from the pools.”
- “A large hydrogen explosion occurred in the Unit 3 reactor building at 1101 on March 14 […] Debris on the ground near the unit was extremely radioactive“
Yet the report contradicts itself in the conclusion to section 4.5 Spent Fuel Pools, “Subsequent analyses and inspections determined [...] that no significant fuel damage had occurred.”
Document link: fukushima report.pdf
New York Times by James Glanz and William J. Broad, April 5, 2011:
“The [confidential U.S.] document also suggests that fragments or particles of nuclear fuel from spent fuel pools above the reactors were blown “up to one mile from the units,” and that pieces of highly radioactive material fell between two units and had to be “bulldozed over,” presumably to protect workers at the site.”
“The ejection of nuclear material, which may have occurred during one of the earlier hydrogen explosions, may indicate more extensive damage to the extremely radioactive pools than previously disclosed.”

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Seventeen Idaho National Laboratory workers were undergoing full-body scans after they were potentially exposed to low-level plutonium radiation Tuesday while cleaning at the nuclear research site, officials said.
There was no evidence that radiation was released outside the facility, and there was no risk to the public or the environment, the laboratory said in a statement. The workers underwent initial decontamination procedures at their worksite and were taken to the laboratory's medical center for evaluation.
The laboratory has designed and constructed 52 reactors since its founding in 1949. There's still active research at the facility, but hundreds of workers are also cleaning up radioactive waste that's left over from more than 60 years of activities, including at the Zero Power Physics Reactor.
Report of Radiological Environmental Monitoring of the Environs Surrounding Wolf Creek Generating Station, Kansas Department of Health and Environment, July 2010-June 2011:
“Radioiodine was detected in air filters collected March 25, March 31, April 7 and April 14, 2011. Levels detected were 0.047, 0.137, 0.043 and 0.004 pCi/m3 respectively. Air filters collected before and after these dates had no detectable radioiodine.”
Divide .000137 pCi/liter by 27 to get Becquerels/liter, which equals 5.074e-06 Bq/liter.
- I-131 on March 31 in Kansas = 5.074e-06 Bq/liter
- I-131 post-Fuku high for UC Berkeley (Mar. 23) = 4.3e-06 Bq/liter

Breach in cladding caused plutonium release in Idaho — Workers exposed to ‘high levels’ allowed to go home and return for more tests
INL Holds Press Conference About Plutonium Accident, KPVI, Nov. 9 at 8:03 pm ET:
[...] “Tuesday, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. a container was opened inside the Zero Power Physics Reactor building, and employees were exposed to a high level of plutonium” [...]
INL Materials and Fuels Complex Nuclear Operations Director Philip Breidenbach: “We believe there was a breach in that cladding which allowed the radioactive material to be released. I want to assure you that we take this event very seriously.”
INL Environment, Safety and Health Director Sharon Dossett: “We offered precautionary treatment to all of them and then after the lung scans were completed yesterday they were all allowed to go home. Now three of them have come back today for further lung scans based on results of what we say yesterday on the initial lung scan.”
“After a second round of testing only one tested positive for internal plutonium.”
- “They are taking fluids with calcium or zinc through an IV. Those chemicals will bind with the plutonium to help it pass [... also] antacids to elevate the pH in the body.”
- “Total determination of how much plutonium might be in workers’ bodies will not be available for weeks once the body scans are complete.”
- “Of the 16 employees potentially exposed, six of those have tested positive for low-levels of contamination based on external surveying.”

Ready to blow? Homes evacuated on Canary Island as underwater volcano spews molten rock 60ft into the air
Homes have been evacuated and roads closed on the southern-most Canary Island following a government-issued warning about a possible volcanic eruption.
The southern tip of El Hierro was shaken by a 4.3-magnitude quake late on Saturday as an underwater volcano just off the coast started spewing matter some 60ft into the air.
The island, which has 500 volcanic cones, has experienced more than 10,000 tremors in the past four months.
Renewed fears of an eruption came as vast quantities of magma - the molten rock from just under the earth's crust - began bubbling into the sea off the port of La Restinga.
Russia's Mars dream ends, and now a toxic nightmare begins as its crippled fuel-filled probe heads back down to earth
Russia's space agency has all but given up hope of saving a £100million spacecraft that was bound for Mars but conked out shortly after launch.
Engineers had three days to fix a problem that caused the Phobos-Grunt probe to shut down before batteries aboard the craft died for good.
The engines that were supposed to propel it on its way to the red planet failed to ignite, and any attempts to correct the failure seemed doomed when scientists admitted that they couldn't even establish communications with the craft.
Now that the deadline has come and gone, Phobos-Grunt will run out of battery life and begin a decaying orbit around the Earth until it - and the 12 tons of dangerous fuel it is carrying - makes an unwelcome and uncontrolled return to the surface.
Complicating the recovery efforts, the space agency only has a few hours a day to reach the probe due to Russia's limited earth-to-space communications network.
The spacecraft weighs 14.6 tons, and most of that weight (about 12 tons) is a highly toxic mix of nitrogen teroxide and hydrazine fuel.
The Russians are hoping the fuel will stay liquid when the probe comes down, harmlessly exploding about 50 miles above ground.
But experts like James Oberg, a NASA veteran who now works as a space consultant, think the fuel could freeze, surviving the fiery re-entry and causing an environmental disaster on impact.
He said the probe would become 'the most toxic falling satellite ever', adding: 'What was billed as the heaviest interplanetary probe ever may become one of the heaviest space derelicts to ever fall back to Earth out of control, an unenviable record.'
Nicholas Johnson, an orbital debris expert at NASA, told Spaceflight Now website it was difficult to compare Phobos-Grunt's potential re-entry with other similar events.
'NASA predicts that in its current condition Phobos-Grunt will not re-enter until next month, possibly even late December. This is dependent upon solar activity and the attitude/stability of the spacecraft. As the re-entry gets closer, the uncertainty in the re-entry prediction will likewise become smaller.'
The fate of Phobos-Grunt's toxic propellant is also an issue. It could add to the risk of the re-entry if it fell in a populated area.
'If the Phobos-Grunt propellant tanks are aluminum, they will probably burn up and dissipate the propellants, whether they are liquid or frozen,' Johnson said.
Russia - which once led the space race in both innovation and exploration - had hoped that Phobos-Grunt would triumphantly bring them back into deep space exploration, after more than two decades of failure.
Now it seems the nation's failure will continue, and the worst is yet to come.
We are living through a time of great awakening. The people of our world are beginning to open their eyes and realize the stunning depth of the scams and collusion taking place all around them. These scams that steal their wealth, poison them with chemicals, enslave them with financial trickery and control their minds with propaganda. These scams are the very fabric of modern government, the mainstream media, universities and so-called "science" institutions.
#1 - Most of the honey you buy in the grocery store contains no actual honey whatsoever
It's true, the so-called "honey" isn't even technically honey. Most of it is made of cheap "mystery" sweeteners, illegally imported from China, right under the nose of the FDA.
(NaturalNews) Just because those cute little bear-shaped bottles at the grocery store say "honey" on them does not necessarily mean that they actually contain honey. A comprehensive investigation conducted by Food Safety News (FSN) has found that the vast majority of so-called honey products sold at grocery stores, big box stores, drug stores, and restaurants do not contain any pollen, which means they are not real honey.
For the investigation, Vaughn Bryant, one of the nation's leading melissopalynologists, or experts in identifying pollen in honey, and director of the Palynology Research Laboratory at Texas A&M University, evaluated more than 60 products labeled as "honey" that had been purchased by FSN from ten states and the District of Columbia.
Bryant found that 76 percent of "honey" samples purchased from major grocery store chains like Kroger and Safeway, and 77 percent of samples purchased from big box chains like Sam's Club and Wal-Mart, did not contain any pollen. Even worse were "honey" samples taken from drug stores like Walgreens and CVS, and fast food restaurants like McDonald's and KFC, 100 percent of which were found to contain not a trace of pollen.
The full FSN report with a list of all the pollen-less "honey" brands can be accessed here:
So what is all this phony honey made of? It is difficult to say for sure, as pollen is the key to verifying that honey is real. According to FSN, much of this imposter honey is more likely being secretly imported from China, and may even be contaminated with antibiotic drugs and other foreign materials.
Most conventional honey products have been illegally ultra-filtered to hide their true nature
According to FSN, the lack of pollen in most conventional "honey" products is due to these products having been ultra-filtered. This means that they have been intensely heated, forced through extremely tiny filters, and potentially even watered down or adulterated in some way prior to hitting store shelves.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) holds the position that any so-called honey products that have been ultra-filtered are not actually honey. But the agency refuses to do anything to stop this influx of illegitimate "honey" from flooding the North American market. It also continues to stonewall all petitions to establish a national regulatory standard for verifying the integrity of honey.
Ultra-filtering eliminates and destroys all medicinal properties of honey
Assuming that there is any real honey at all in the phony honey products tested by FSN, the removal of pollen and other delicate materials via ultra-filtering renders them medicinally dead. Raw honey is a health-promoting food that can help alleviate stomach problems, anemia, allergies, and other health conditions. Ultra-filtered honey is nothing more than a health-destroying processed sugar in the same vein as white table sugar or high fructose corn syrup.
The good news is that all of the honey products FSN tested from farmers markets, food cooperatives, and "natural" stores like Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, were found to contain pollen and a full array of antioxidants and other nutrients. Local beekeepers are another great source of obtaining raw, unprocessed, real honey.
But if you DARE grow your own organic food and try to eat it, the government will shut you down!
#2 - The fluoride that's dripped into municipal water supplies is actually a highly toxic industrial chemical byproduct
This scam is exploding in the faces of all the ignorant dentists and doctors who have been pushing this poison for years. Once again, they were wrong; the "conspiracy theorists" were right.
#3 - Flu vaccines often contain live flu viruses and actually cause the flu as a way to worsen the flu season and scare more people into buying vaccines
It's also true with MMR vaccines, which cause the measles. Flu vaccines are the greatest medical hoax that has ever been perpetrated on the world:
Thimerosal is a widely used vaccine preservative that is present in the majority of flu shots and other vaccines. Thimerosal is 49% mercury by volume, an extremely toxic chemical element that wreaks havoc on the nervous system, neurological function, and overall biological function . Each dose of flu vaccine contains around 25 micrograms of thimerosal, over 250 times the Environmental Protection Agency’s safety limit of exposure.
In addition to mercury, vaccines also contain other toxic fillers and preservatives that have been linked to health conditions such as cancer:
- Aluminum: Also a neurotoxin, aluminum has been linked to Alzheimer’s disease and other cognitive diseases .
- Formaldehyde: Among the 8 new substances to be added to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services list of carcinogens.
- Antibiotics: Various forms include neomycin, streptomycin, and gentamicin.
- Triton X-100: A detergent that should not be injected into the human bloodstream.
By recommending flu shots to the public, the CDC and vaccine manufacturers are ignoring the warnings of not only major studies conducted by prominent universities, but also the EPA. The EPA’s safety limit of mercury exposure is being exceeded by over 250 times each shot. In addition to a number of other ‘recommended’ vaccines, flu shots are dished out each year to the public, meaning that this exposure increases to 250 times the limit each year. Over a 10 year period, it is possible to exceed the limit by 2500 times simply by receiving a yearly flu shot.
#4 - Ron Paul is deliberately stripped out of mainstream news reports, online polls and debate coverage in order to "game the system" against him
The power elite don't really want "fair and open" elections in America, you see. It's all about rigging the system to make sure a globalist puppet gets elected instead of a Man of the People.
The medical community is in the process of unveiling a "universal" influenza vaccine that it claims will prevent all flu strains with a single jab. The only problem is that, in the process, the system has inadvertently admitted that current flu shots are medically useless because they fail to target the correct flu strain in many cases, and they do not stimulate a natural flu-fighting immune response even when the strain is a match.
According to the largest nationwide investigation to date of the flu in children who became critically ill, scientists from Children's Hospital Boston have found another reason to explain the severity of the youngsters illness. It turns out that it most likely wasn't H1N1 alone that caused healthy children to become so ill many died.
Another MSM outlet wiped out their debate poll after Ron Paul was winning by a landslide!
CBS took down the poll within minutes due to Ron Paul's numbers on the poll.
#5 - The United States government openly trafficks illegal guns into Mexico as a way to cause gun violence in the USA
It all seemed so very clever until they got caught, and now it just seems flatly criminal. So why can the federal government run illegal guns and nothing happens to them, but if you or I do it, we go to prison for a long, long time?
#6 - Prestigious U.S. hospitals are widely engaged in black market organ trafficking and organ transplants
And why not? It's profitable, and they can claim they're "saving lives!" Make no mistake: the organ transplant industry is steeped in dark, psychopathic criminal activity.
#7 - The child sex slave industry is huge, highly profitable, and found everywhere across America (and the world)
You wouldn't have believed this, probably, until the whole Penn State scandal recently made headline news around the world. As everybody now knows, Penn State sports officials routinely raped young children, even pimping them out to other criminal rapists who paid big money to rape young boys. This went on for 15 years right inside a prestigious university, right here in America.
Are you shocked? You shouldn't be. Alex Jones has been sounding the alarm about this for a decade. Nobody listened to him. They couldn't believe it was real. People would rather bury their heads in the sand than face reality.
And yet, this Penn State scandal just scratches the surface. The far deeper horrifying truth of all this is that Child Protective Services routinely kidnaps young American children and sells them into sex slavery -- so-called "white slavery." That story has not yet been covered by the mainstream media.
#8 - Commercial chickens are routinely fed arsenic, and commercial cows are routinely fed chicken poop
Oh, you didn't know that? When you eat conventional beef, you're eating meat from cows who created that meat by consuming chicken poop. Yumm! Can I have some more poop on that burger, please?
#9 - "Natural" foods and cereals are routinely made with genetically modified ingredients
Oh, you thought "natural" meant better than organic? Non-GMO? Stop getting suckered by the cereal companies and dishonest food conglomerates. Know what you're really eating:
#10 - The global banking industry is a criminal racket that steals wealth from working class People and redistributes it to the global wealthy elite
You wouldn't have believed this five years ago, but now, looking at your own bank account, the job you lost, the house you can't sell and the health care you can't afford, it's all sinking in: The global financial system is an engineered con that suckers working-class people into giving up all their wealth, piece by piece, until they die bankrupt. Indentured servitude...
#11 - The U.S. government routinely conspires with pharmaceutical giants to conduct criminal, inhumane medical experiments on innocent people
Recent revelations about the U.S. government's secret medical experiments in Guatemala are just the tip of the iceberg here. Dr. Jona Salk, inventor of the polio vaccine, also ran unethical medical experiments on people. In fact, the entire history of modern medicine (pharmaceuticals, vaccines, chemotherapy and more) is something of a "house of horrors" of inhumane medical experiments on innocent victims.
When one Australian woman decided to lead the charge against Gardasil maker Merck after experiencing serious adverse reactions, she soon found another 7 Victorian women with similar intentions and experiences...
Baxter, same company that unleashed tainted avian flu vaccines, recalls 300,000 flu vaccines for serious adverse reactions
Baxter Healthcare Corp. has announced it is recalling roughly 300,000 doses of its Preflucel influenza vaccine due to what it says is an excessive number of adverse events. Baxter is the same drug company that was caught inserting Avian Flu Virus into flu vaccines back in 2009.
Planned obsolescence in the medical care industry? Everything they give you makes you feel better for a few months, then you get sick again and have to go back for a new
Artificial sweeteners especially aspartame has gotten a bad rap over the years, most likely due to studies showing they cause cancer. But not to worry Ajinomoto the company that makes Aspartame has changed the name to AminoSweet. It has the same toxic ingredients but a nice new sounding name.
This is like what they did with high-fructose corn syrup which has been renamed corn sugar and launched with an ad campaign that says, "You body can't tell the difference" which is total bovine excrement because I can eat cane sugar without any problems, but if I have any HFCS I go into severe hypoglycemia.
Safety concerns with the popular birth control pill Yaz increased Thursday as federal health scientists reported that the Bayer drug and other newer birth control treatments appear to increase the risk of dangerous blood clots more than older medications.
A new study released by the Food and Drug Administration reviewed the medical history of more than 800,000 U.S. women taking different forms of birth control between 2001 and 2007. On average, woman taking Yaz had a 75 percent greater chance of experiencing a blood clot than women taking older birth control drugs.
To everyone with women in their lives they love and care about who are either on some kind of birth control, or considering changing their birth control product: please make sure that they see this.
Women on birth control should demand that birth control products be as safe as possible, and definitely not potentially lethal.
Unfortunately, pharmaceutical corporations are, by definition, entities without conscience, where profits trump patient safety way more often than it should; this is one of those instances.
Disgusting government sanctioned sterilization program exposed on MSNBC. Shocking revelations into legal genocide in the United States.
The audience at Saturday night’s Republican presidential debate erupted into applause at the mention of waterboarding, an interrogation technique that is often described as torture.
Memo to those tragic results of what happens when first cousins marry and reproduce, who think torture is in any way a wonderful and useful technique; please be aware, as humankind has known from the time of the Catholic Inquisition, what torture does is get the tortured person to say ANYTHING they believe their captors want to hear in order to get the torture to stop.
1. When the US sanctions torture, it for all practical purposes has walked away every human rights treaty to which it has been signatory, including the Geneva Accords.
2. When the US sanctions the use of torture, it means that we, as Americans, particularly are civilian and military leadership, can no longer talk about human rights, democracy, and the rule of law with a straight face.
3. When the US sanctions torture, this means that any hostile nation's leadership will believe it has carte blanche to do exactly the same thing to our civilians and our military.
For those of you with families and friends serving in our military right now, please chew on that for a while, won't you?!?
The European Union’s Envisat satellite was launched in 2002. Sea level in the northern hemisphere has declined since they started measuring it, and is now almost 30 mm lower than it was in the middle of 2004.
The world’s top rated climatologist says that parts of Manhattan will drown by 2008.
While doing research 12 or 13 years ago, I met Jim Hansen, the scientist who in 1988 predicted the greenhouse effect before Congress. I went over to the window with him and looked out on Broadway in New York City and said, “If what you’re saying about the greenhouse effect is true, is anything going to look different down there in 20 years?” He looked for a while and was quiet and didn’t say anything for a couple seconds. Then he said, “Well, there will be more traffic.” I, of course, didn’t think he heard the question right. Then he explained, “The West Side Highway [which runs along the ] will be under water. And there will be tape across the windows across the street because of high winds. And the same birds won’t be there. The trees in the median strip will change.” Then he said, “There will be more police cars.” Why? “Well, you know what happens to crime when the heat goes up.
When did he say this will happen?
Within 20 or 30 years. And remember we had this conversation in 1988 or 1989.
Does he still believe these things?
Yes, he still believes everything. I talked to him a few months ago and he said he wouldn’t change anything that he said then.
Editor's Note: This must be a new record. The carbon eugenicists only admitted defeat at Copenhagen well after the rest of the world saw it. They admitted defeat before Cancun, but only in secret. Now, they're publicly admitting defeat at the Durban COP17 before the conference even starts. Perhaps they can just scrap the conference altogether and reduce the 41,000 tons of carbon dioxide "equivalent" it will likely produce.
Fossils From Animals And Plants Are Not Necessary For Crude Oil And Natural Gas, Swedish Researchers Find
ScienceDaily (Sep. 10, 2009) Researchers at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm have managed to prove that fossils from animals and plants are not necessary for crude oil and natural gas to be generated. The findings are revolutionary since this means, on the one hand, that it will be much easier to find these sources of energy and, on the other hand, that they can be found all over the globe.
So, dinosaurs are near the surface of the Earth. In fact the deepest fossil of any kind was fossil plankton pulled up from about halfway down a Russian test well 7 miles deep.
Recall that oil companies are now drilling oil wells deeper than where the fossil dinosaurs and fossil plankton are found. In other words, they are finding oil where there were no life forms to create it. The Deepwater Horizon disaster and the sister wells around it seem to support the theory that oil is produced from geological processes rather than biological ones, and that the "shortages" are (like Diamonds) entirely artificial to boost prices.
Abiotic Oil: A Theory Worth Exploring
September 14, 2011, US News & World Report magazine
[Abiotic oil theorists] hold that oil can be derived from hydrocarbons that existed eons ago in massive pools deep within the earth's core. That source of hydrocarbons seeps up through the earth's layers and slowly replenishes oil sources. In other words, it turns the fossil-fuel paradigm upside down. Thomas Gold, a respected astronomer and professor emeritus at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, has held for years that oil is actually a renewable, primordial syrup continually manufactured by the Earth under ultrahot conditions and tremendous pressures. As this substance migrates toward the surface, it is attacked by bacteria, making it appear to have an organic origin dating back to the dinosaurs, he says. That ... raises the tantalizing possibility that oil may not be the limited resource it is assumed to be. In 2008 ... a group of Russian and Ukrainian scientists [said] that oil and gas don't come from fossils; they're synthesized deep within the earth's mantle by heat, pressure, and other purely chemical means, before gradually rising to the surface. The idea that oil comes from fossils "is a myth" that needs changing according to petroleum engineer Vladimir Kutcherov, speaking at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. "All kinds of rocks could have oil and gas deposits." Alexander Kitchka of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences estimates that 60 percent of the content of all oil is abiotic in origin and not from fossil fuels.
Study appears to support theory of abiotic oil
November 4, 2009, Houston Chronicle (Houston's leading newspaper)
You may have heard of abiotic oil, the notion that oil is not the result of ancient biomass – hence the term fossil fuels — but rather from compressed methane seeping up from the Earth’s mantle. Most petroleum engineers spurn abiotic oil as a crackpot idea, but the notion has percolated along and been popularized by books such as Thomas Gold’s Deep Hot Biosphere. Setting aside the climate issue of burning petroleum, the idea of naturally replenished oil supplies is alluring considering oil is by far the most portable, energy dense fuel around. [A] paper published in Energy & Fuels, a peer-reviewed publication, supports the theory of abiotic oil. For their study geochemists at the Carnegie Institution of Washington combined the key ingredients for the abiotic synthesis of methane in a device and then simulated the high pressures and temperatures near the interface between the Earth’s crust and mantle. They found it highly plausible that methane could form from chemical reaction in this environment, writing that their experiment “strongly suggests that it is likely that, in deep earth geologic systems, some methane generation is inevitable.” The theory of abiotic oil holds that rapidly rising streams of compressed methane gas reach the crust from the mantle, and when they strike pockets of high temperature they condense into heavier hydrocarbons like crude oil.
The practice of injecting water into deep rock formations causes earthquakes, both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Geological Survey have concluded.
The U.S. natural gas industry pumps a mixture of water and assorted chemicals deep underground to shatter sediment layers containing natural gas, a process called hydraulic fracturing, known more informally as “fracking.” While environmental groups have primarily focused on fracking’s capacity to pollute underground water, a more ominous byproduct emerges from U.S. government studies – that forcing fluids under high pressure deep underground produces increased regional seismic activity.
In a surprising turn of events, Cuadrilla Resources, a British energy company, recently admitted that its hydraulic fracturing operations "likely" caused an earthquake in England. Predictably, this news quickly sent a shockwave through the U.K., the oil and natural gas industries, and the environmental activist community. And it certainly feeds plenty of speculation that the same phenomenon could be occurring elsewhere.
Behind the cloak of secrecy at the ISS World conference, tips are shared about the latest advanced "lawful interception" methods used to spy on citizens – computer hacking, covert bugging and GPS tracking. Smartphones, email, instant message services and free chat services such as Skype have revolutionised communication. This has been matched by the development of increasingly sophisticated surveillance technology.
Environmental activist Sharon Wilson showed up to an oil industry event in Houston last week and caught a startling glimpse into how the fracking industry approaches residents in towns where they drill.
Wilson recorded industry insiders confirming they hire military psychological operation veterans, and use procedures pulled straight from the Army's counterinsurgency manual.
Fracking is a contentious business. The process of injecting chemicals at high-pressure into the earth to pull out gas and oil has prompted as many reports condemning it as there are declaring it safe.
Homeowners concerned for the safety of their well water, and environmentalists, who believe the drilling even caused the Oklahoma earthquake, have formed movements against the practice, and it was these efforts that came up for discussion at last week's oil industry conference in Houston.
Filled with industry insiders all facing the same challenges and concerns, speakers lectured openly on how they handled the American public in communities where they drilled.
There, recording it all, was environmental activist Sharon Wilson, director of the Oil & Gas Accountability Project.
In the following recording, given to CNBC, one presenter tells the crowd to download a copy of the Army's counterinsurgency manual. "Because," he said, the movement opposing the industry is an "insurgency."
In this next recording (also given to CNBC) the speaker tells listeners that his organization maintains several military veterans who served as psychological warfare specialists. These former "psy ops" soldiers, he explains, are using their skills in Pennsylvania.
Wilson paid full price for attendance to the conference and wore a nametag identifying herself and her organization.
In his forum called “Designing a Media Relations Strategy To Overcome Concerns Surrounding Hydraulic Fracturing,” Range Resources communications director Matt Pitzarella explains how to "overcome stakeholder concerns" surrounding fracking.
“We have several former psy ops folks that work for us at Range because they’re very comfortable in dealing with localized issues and local governments,” Pitzarella said. “Really all they do is spend most of their time helping folks develop local ordinances and things like that. But very much having that understanding of psy ops in the Army and in the Middle East has applied very helpfully here for us in Pennsylvania.”
It was during Anadarko Petroleum's manager of external affairs, Matt Carmichael's, session on “Understanding How Unconventional Oil & Gas Operators are Developing a Comprehensive Media Relations Strategy to Engage Stakeholders and Educate the Public" that he suggested his colleagues:
“Download the U.S. Army-slash-Marine Corps Counterinsurgency Manual, because we are dealing with an insurgency,” Carmichael said. “There’s a lot of good lessons in there and coming from a military background, I found the insight in that extremely remarkable.”
To be clear on exactly what Carmichael meant when he said they're "dealing with an insurgency" we obtained a copy of the FM 3-24 — the final edition of the 2006 Counterinsurgency manual provided to psy ops soldiers. We substituted the word government with corporation.
" ... insurgency has been a common approach used by the weak to combat the strong. At the beginning of a conflict, insurgents have the strategic initiative ... the insurgents generally initiate the war. They may strive to disguise their intentions, and the potential counter-insurgent will be at a great disadvantage until [corporate] leaders recognize that an insurgency exists and are able to determine its makeup and characteristics to facilitate a coordinated reaction.
While the [corporation] prepares to respond, the insurgent is gaining strength and creating increasing disruptions throughout the state. The existing [corporation] normally has an initial advantage in resources, but that edge is counterbalanced by the requirement to maintain order. The insurgent succeeds by sowing chaos and disorder anywhere; the [corporation] fails unless it maintains order everywhere.
Check out FM 3-24 below, section 1-1 provides the overview of an "insurgency." It provides an interesting insight into how corporations impacting the daily lives of US citizens conduct policy.
Italian cold fusion machine passes another test
November 3, 2011, MSNBC
Italian physicist and inventor Andrea Rossi has conducted a public demonstration of his "cold fusion" machine, the E-Cat, at the University of Bologna, showing that a small amount of input energy drives an unexplained reaction between atoms of hydrogen and nickel that leads to a large outpouring of energy, more than 10 times what was put in. The first seemingly successful cold fusion experiment was reported two decades ago. Two types of atoms, typically a light element and a heavier metal, seem to fuse together, releasing pure heat that can be converted into electricity. The process is an attractive energy solution for two reasons: Unlike in nuclear fission, the reaction doesn't give off dangerous radiation. Unlike the fusion processes that take place in the sun, cold fusion doesn't require extremely high temperatures. In April ... Rossi and fellow physicist Sergio Focardi successfully demonstrated the device for a group of Swedish physicists. At the demo in October, after an initial energy input of 400 watts into each module, each one then produced a sustained, continuous output of 10 kilowatts (470 kW altogether) for three to four hours. Peter Hagelstein, an MIT professor of electrical engineering and computer science and one of the most mainstream proponents of cold fusion research, thinks the process may involve vibrational energy in the metal's lattice driving nuclear transitions that lead to fusion.

Cold Fusion Experiment: Major Success or Complex Hoax?
November 2, 2011, Fox News
A physicist in Italy claims to have demonstrated a new type of power plant that provides safe, cheap and virtually unlimited nuclear power to the world, without fossil fuels or radiation concerns. The only hitch: Scientists say the method -- cold fusion -- is patently impossible. They say it defies the laws of physics. Andrea Rossi doesn't seem to care. He told FoxNews.com that his new device takes in nickel and hydrogen and fuses them in a low-grade nuclear reaction that essentially spits out sheer power, validating the strange science. “With low energy, it's possible to give a heater a certain amount of energy and to get from the same heater a superior amount of energy,” Rossi explained. He claims he demonstrated the device, called an E-Cat, at the University of Bologna in Italy on Oct. 28. Nearly a century ago, in the 1920s, Austrian scientists Friedrich Paneth and Kurt Peters hypothesized a form of nuclear reaction that doesn’t produce radiation. And since then, the theory of cold fusion -- or "low-energy nuclear reaction," as its champions now call it -- has popped in and out the public's eyes, notably hitting the cover of Time magazine in 1989. Sterling Allan, CEO of the alternative energy news agency Pure Energy Systems, told FoxNews.com he attended Rossi’s demonstration and the E-Cat is self sustaining.

The US attorney-general has expressed regret that the country’s justice department misled legislators about the allegations of serious problems in the controversial arms trafficking investigation called Operation Fast and Furious.
At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday, Eric Holder said that the probe was flawed in concept as well as in execution, never should have happened and "it must never happen again".
The operation, conducted in 2009, employed a now-controversial investigative tactic known as gun-walking. Several federal agents said they were ordered to let suspected straw buyers walk away from Phoenix-area gun shops with AK-47s and other weapons believed headed for Mexican drug cartels.
"The goal of the United States was that these guns would lead them to Mexican drug cartel leaders and they could work with Mexican authorities to pursue arrests," Al Jazeera's Kimberly Halkett, reporting from Washington, said.
"We're like, really, really, really, really sorry
we got caught that people were harmed! Honest!" -- Official White Horse Souse
BBC News confirmed this with Reuters - the French translators were clearly heard by Reuters staff.
The presidents of America and France have aired complaints about the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, in the course of a private conversation overhead by journalists, reports say. President Sarkozy went so far as to call Netanyahu a liar.
“I can’t stand him!” the Frenchman told his American counterpart in a would-be confidential discussion. Obama’s reply was “You're fed up with him, but I have to deal with him every day!”
I do not know why people are surprised at what Sarkozy and Obama said to each other in private about Netanyahu as a liar. This is after all the same Netanyahu who gave a speech to dozens of Likud Party members in Eilat in which he admitted this is his strategy. According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz (15 July 2001): “…giving his audience a bit of advice on how to deal with foreign interviewers (Netanyahu said): ‘Always, irrespective of whether you’re right or not, you must always present your side as right.’“ So Netanyahu admits lying and Sarkozy and Obama merely agreed with Netanyahu and most of the Israeli public that the current Israeli prime minister is a liar.
We don’t know if both Houses of the US Congress, whose members gave Netanyahu over sixty standing ovations during a speech filled with lies earlier this year, share Sarkozy’s opinion.”
The revelation this week of what some world leaders think of Netanyahu was not a surprise to most of us. What remains a mystery, however, is why do these same world leaders kiss up to Israel and support them financially and militarily?
From HaAretz … The Anti-Defamation League said it was “deeply disappointed” by the private exchange between French President Nicholas Sarkozy and U.S. President Barack Obama in which the two leaders were overheard making critical remarks about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
I too was deeply disappointed that the exchange was ‘off the record’ and not part of a global condemnation of Israel’s leadership and their policies.
But the question remains, how did Israel get its stranglehold on the entire world?

Aliaksei Yafimau shudders at the memory of the burly thug who threatened to kill his relatives. Yafimau, who installs satellite television systems in Babrujsk, Belarus, answered an advertisement in 2010 offering easy money to anyone willing to sell a kidney.
He saw it as a step toward getting out of poverty. Instead, Yafimau, 30, was thrust into a dark journey around the globe that had him, at one point, locked in a hotel room for a month in Quito, Ecuador, waiting for surgeons to cut out an organ, Bloomberg Markets magazine reports in its December issue.
The man holding Yafimau against his will was Roini Shimshilashvili, a former kickboxer who was an enforcer for an international organ-trafficking ring, according to evidence gathered by police in Kiev.
When Washington goes to war or threatens it, America's media march in lockstep, cheerleading. Fiction substitutes for fact.
News is carefully filtered, dissent marginalized, and supporting imperial belligerence substitutes for full and accurate disclosure.
As a result, patriotism means going along with rogue policies. Never mind rule of law principles and democratic values. Free and open societies are risked. So is humanity if belligerents overstep.
Google releases satellite images of Iranian facilities which UN says may be used to develop nuclear weapons
These are the satellite images being used by the UN to claim that facilities at two Iranian cities may be used to develop nuclear weapons.
Satellite images of Arak and Natanz show changes to the facilities in the areas when compared with images taken in October 2010.
The overhead pictures were released by Google following a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) which expressed 'serious concerns regarding possible military dimensions to Iran's nuclear programme'.
Here are all the images of Iraq with the same circles and arrows around blurry blobs and the same labels claiming they were nuclear this and biological that. After we all got suckered into destroying Iraq the inspectors admitted that what we were told was a "decontamination vehicle" was an ordinary fire truck, the "mobile biological weapons lab" was actually a British-built weather balloon inflation system, and a "bio-weapons lab" turned out to be a bakery.
Does the media really think we are all so dumb that we don't remember the last time we saw these exact same lies? Only two weeks ago they were showing us pictures of what was claimed to be a Syrian uranium enrichment plant, only to find out a couple days later it is a textile factory and those were not uranium centrifuges whirring inside there by thread making machines.
Iran is not the problem. Since becoming an Islamic Republic in 1979 Iran has not tried to conquer anyone.
The same cannot be said for Israel and the US!
Iran is pursuing its nuclear weapons program at the Parchin military base about 30 kilometers from Tehran, diplomatic sources in Vienna say. The Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency is expected to release a report this week on Iran's nuclear activities.
Only a week ago the media was showing pictures of a building in Syria and claiming it was a uranium enrichment facility. Then a few days later it was revealed that it was just a textile factory and the rows of spinning machines were just that; spinning thread for weaving.
In the run-up to the conquest of Iraq we were shown pictures like the above; space shots of buildings with nothing in the image at all to confirm the claims made about what we were seeing. And after Iraq was destroyed, the buildings in those photos all turned out to have innocent purposes after all.
This is just more of the same from government and media trying to sell you another war and hoping you are too stupid to recall those previous lies.
Every high school and college physics department conducts nuclear experiments. That does not mean they have a bomb.
Final note. I just looked at this facility in Google Earth and using the Time Slider feature, you find that whatever this facility is, it has been there since 2002! This is NOT a new facility, nuclear or otherwise. In fact it looks like a testing facility for ammunition and light artillery shells.
Iran has already acquired the knowledge, technology, and resources to create a nuclear bomb within months, according to Western experts who were briefed on the intelligence information due to be released in this week's report by the United Nations' International Atomic Energy Agency.
Take two 30 Kg chunks of highly enriched Uranium 235 and slap them together. You will get a mushroom cloud. You are all now in possession of the technical knowledge needed to make an atomic bomb. According to Israel's philosophy, they now have a right to attack you without further warning, along with every high school and college physics classroom in the world.
Of course, you are not building a bomb, because knowledge alone isn't a weapon. If you don;t have 60 Kg of highly enriched Uranium 235, and you don't, and neither does Iran, then it's just theory.
Israel is trying to make a case for attacking Iran on the basis of physics textbooks and the special electrical switches used in photocopier machines. And we must remember that we have already been down this road with Israel twice before, with Israel's claims of a bomb factory underneath Iraq's power station at Osirik (none were found after the bombing) and Syria (again nothing was found after the bombing.
Israel is batting zero with regards to knowing where clandestine bomb factories may be found (outside of their own underneath Dimona) and it is time the world stop paying attention to the little boy who cries nuclear wolf!
Israel is estimated to have anywhere from 150 to 400 nuclear warheads: but it does not allow the IAEA to inspect its facilities. Israel has refused to sign the NPT, or the non-proliferation of treaty.
This is while the US has the world's largest stockpile of nuclear weapons, with massive plans for upgrading them. America's stockpile and its improvement plans are both in violations of the non-proliferation treaty.
In this news analysis we will discuss the US and Israel nuclear weapons and the exceptionalism they enjoy.
Allegations against the Islamic Republic practically started in 2004 when a mysterious figure handed over to the CIA a laptop he had purloined from an Iranian technician purportedly working at a nuclear plant in Iran. The laptop which has come to be known as the laptop of death is said to contain pages and pages of top-secret information in English detailing Iran's lust for attaining technical knowhow to produce nuclear payroll for Shahab III missile.
In an atmosphere of cringing obedience to Washington, Mr. Amano cannot choose but to play into the hands of the US officials who look over his shoulders and observe with diligence what he puts to paper in the report he writes about Iran.
The US-engineered new allegation against the Islamic Republic which is part of a 15-page document issued by the International Atomic Energy Agency is that Iran carried out “work on the development of an indigenous design of a nuclear weapon including the testing of components. Some activities relevant to the development of a nuclear explosive device continued after 2003” and “some may still be ongoing.” This new allegation is indeed based on the fiction of the laptop of death.
Ahmadinejad also took the occasion to rebuke the IAEA director general, Japanese Yukiya Amano, for being "a puppet" of the White House, challenging him to bring accurate and reliable information about the nuclear activities of Iran, a signatory to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.
The report was classified by the government of the Asian country as "ridiculous and contrived," considering it more as a "repetition of unfounded accusations by the United States and the Zionists."
The president also affirmed that the administration of Barack Obama "arrogantly accuses Iran of producing nuclear bombs while it has more than five thousand atomic products, which demonstrates the lack of U.S. commitment to nuclear disarmament," he noted.
Today the President of Israel, Shimon Peres, said that a military strike against Iran is growing increasingly likely by the day.
This comes just days before the report on Iran’s nuclear program is going to be released by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), a United Nations body.
Peres has been quite clear that the push for an attack on Iran is gaining steam saying that an attack on Iran was becoming “more and more likely” in an interview on Israel’s Channel Two on Saturday.
Peres made this even clearer in a statement to Israel’s Hayom, in which he said, “The possibility of a military attack against Iran is now closer to being applied than the application of a diplomatic option”.
Lobbying for a US war with Iran, AIPAC is pushing a bill that would prohibit diplomacy between the two nations.
Wasting no time after its success in getting the administration to oppose Palestinian statehood at the United Nations, and still celebrating the UNESCO funding cutoff, AIPAC has returned to its number one priority: Pushing for war with Iran.
The Israelis have, of course, played their own part in the big show. In the past few weeks, Israel has been sending out signals that it is getting ready to bomb Iran's nuclear facilities (and embroil the United States in its most calamitous Middle East war yet).
But most observers do not believe an Israeli attack is imminent. (If it were, would Israel telegraph it in advance?) The point of the Israeli threats is to get the United States and the world community to increase pressure on Iran with the justification that unless it does, Israel will attack.
Naturally, the United States Congress, which gets its marching orders on Middle East policy from the lobby - which, in turn, gets its marching orders from Binyamin Netanyahu - is rushing to do what it is told. If only Congress addressed joblessness at home with the same alacrity.
The House Foreign Affairs Committee hurriedly convened this week to consider a new "crippling sanctions" bill that seems less designed to deter an Iranian nuclear weapon than to lay the groundwork for war.
The clearest evidence that war is the intention of the bill's supporters comes in Section 601:
(c) RESTRICTION ON CONTACT - No person employed with the United States Government may contact in an official or unofficial capacity any person that -
(1) is an agent, instrumentality, or official of, is affiliated with, or is serving as a representative of the Government of Iran; and
(2) presents a threat to the United States or is affiliated with terrorist organisations.
(d) WAIVER - The president may waive the requirements of subsection (c) if the president determines and so reports to the appropriate congressional committees 15 days prior to the exercise of waiver authority that failure to exercise such waiver authority would pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the vital national security interests of the United States.
So what does this mean? It means that neither the president, the secretary of state, nor any US diplomat or emissary may engage in negotiations or diplomacy of any kind unless the president convinces the "appropriate congressional committees" (most significantly, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, which is an AIPAC fiefdom) that not permitting the contacts would pose an "extraordinary threat to the vital national security interests of the United States".
To call this unprecedented is an understatement. At no time in our history has the White House or State Department been restricted from dealing with representatives of a foreign state, even in wartime.
If President Roosevelt wanted to meet with Hitler, he could have, and, of course, he did repeatedly meet with Stalin. During the Cold War, US diplomats maintained continuous contact with the Soviets, a regime that murdered tens of millions, and later with the Chinese regime, which murdered even more. And they did so without needing permission from Congress. (President Nixon was only able to normalise relations with China by means of secret negotiations, which, had they been exposed, would have been torpedoed by the Republican right.)
Peace is now illegal!
Israel and the U.S. will embark on the “largest” and “most significant” joint exercise in the allies’ history, said Andrew Shapiro, U.S. assistant secretary for political-military affairs, on Saturday.
Speaking to the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Shapiro said the exercise will involve more than 5,000 U.S. and Israeli forces, and will simulate Israel’s ballistic missile defense.
“Joint exercises allow us to learn from Israel’s experience in urban warfare and counterterrorism,” said Shapiro.
“Israeli technology is proving critical to improving our Homeland Security and protecting our troops,” he added, explaining that Israeli armor plating technology and the specially designed “Israeli bandage”, being used on American troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, are proven successes.
Why World War III: Destroy The Global Economy, Create A Greater Israel, And Establish A Global Authoritarian Government
There is a mistaken belief held by many people that the U.S. government won’t attack Iran or allow Israel to attack because of the economic repercussions that will follow.
Oil prices will rise to astronomical levels, global trade will diminish, and world poverty rates will increase rapidly as the global economy comes to a standstill.
People ask: Who wants to see this nightmare scenario unfold?
“In short, for Israel an attack against Iran and Israel’s other enemies on the pretext of pre-empting an immediate threat to its own existence will be the do or die action it will take in order to realise Zionism’s ultimate endgame; the creation of a Greater Israel.
The coming confrontation is not about Iran being a threat; it is about Israel ridding itself of all of its enemies in the places that it would like to annex as part of its realisation of creating a permanent Greater Israel nation abundant with fertile lands, its own water resources, and living space. War is its pretext.” – Damian Lataan; The U.S. And Israel’s ‘Obsession’ With Iran – The Real Reasons (November 6, 2011).
The sociopathic elite who hold secret conferences to discuss their evil plans desire the destruction of the global economy because destruction and chaos will help them achieve many of their long-term political objectives and global goals:
- The establishment of a global authoritarian government with the power of life and death over all nations. This government will not be based on the rule of law or the people’s will. It is springing up by way of deception, state terrorism, world wars, economic depressions, and other orchestrated global crises.
- The increase of mass starvation and world poverty to accelerate the reduction of the world’s population.
- The end of industrial civilization, material development and unlimited economic growth. This is not being done for the good of the planet and environment, but to secure power and profits into the hands of a small global elite. This sociopathic elite wants to control the destiny of humanity and the planet. There is no better way of doing that than by destroying the middle classes and forcing people to live in abject poverty because then their thoughts won’t be aimed towards knowledge and revolution, but towards attaining the next meal. Instead of changing the system and putting up a fight, they’ll cheat their neighbour and loot stores to survive through the days like malnourished dogs.
The new world order banksters and global fascists see global chaos as the gateway to their dream: the world’s acceptance of a global authoritarian government that will be fully owned and controlled by them.
What will the maniacs and mass murderers in Tel Aviv gain by attacking Iran and blowing up the whole region? In one word: territory.
Damian Lataan says Israel’s political elite wants to establish a Greater Israel and destroy the Palestinian nationalist movement. In his article, “The U.S. And Israel’s ‘Obsession’ With Iran – The Real Reasons,” Lataan writes:
“Israel’s real obsession is the creation of a Greater Israel and the destruction of those that prevent Israel’s expansionist dreams; Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Hezbollah in Lebanon, both of whom are supported by Iran.
The stated casus belli for any Israeli/US attack on Iran will be that Iran is building a nuclear weapon with which it intends to ‘wipe Israel off the map’. The ‘Iran has a nuclear weapons program’ and the ‘wipe Israel off the map’ are two memes that have gone hand in hand in the propaganda and rhetoric of Israel’s Zionists and their neoconservative allies in the US and, indeed, around the world for years.”
“The process of national revival of the Jewish people is irreversible and has its internal logic. We shall have no peace as long as the whole territory of the Country of Israel will not return under Jewish control. This might sound too hard, but such is the logic of history. The war on the Holy Land has been already fought for four thousand years and the end cannot be seen. A stable peace will come only then, when Israel will return to itself all its historical lands, and will thus control both the Suez and the Ormudz channel. The state will find at last its geostrategic completeness. We must remember that Iraqi oil fields too are located on the Jewish land.
"No matter how many millions of American kids have to die for it!"
The world is on the verge of World War III. There is no question about that.
Russian geopolitical analyst Konstantin Sivkov, Vice President of the Academy for Geopolitical Issues, says WWIII "has already begun" and that it "will take lives of hundreds of millions people worldwide."
U.S. politicians want to start World War III more than anyone else. They want to appear tough and they think attacking countries like Iraq and Iran without any reason is tough.
These are sick and sociopathic politicians who have a dangerous love affair with Israel and War.
Israel and War are for U.S. politicians what milk and cookies are for Santa Claus.
The report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) published by a Washington think tank Tuesday repeated the sensational claim previously reported by news media all over the world that a former Soviet nuclear weapons scientist had helped Iran construct a detonation system that could be used for a nuclear weapon.
But it turns out that the foreign expert, who is not named in the IAEA report [.pdf] but was identified in news reports as Vyacheslav Danilenko, is not a nuclear weapons scientist but one of the top specialists in the world in the production of nanodiamonds by explosives.
It is inescapable historical reality that leaders of nations will lie to their people to trick them into wars they otherwise would have refused. It is not "conspiracy theory" to suggest that leaders of nations lie to trick their people into wars. It is undeniable fact.
This brings us to the present case.
Did the government of the United States lie to the American people, more to the point, did President Bush and his Neocon associates lie to Congress, to initiate a war of conquest in Iraq?
This question has been given currency by a memo leaked from inside the British Government which clearly indicates a decision to go to war followed by the "fixing" of information around that policy. This is, as they say, a smoking gun.
I am relinking this because just now on the lower third banner at CNN, the headline read "IAEA: IRAN BUILDING NUCLEAR WEAPONS."
Folks, not only is this not true, it isn't even what the IAEA report said.
The IAEA report states clearly that they did not find any evidence that Iran has diverted fuel for their power station to weapons.
What the IAEA found is that Iran is testing explosives, which has non-nuclear military applications, and Iran is in possession of Krytron switches, which are used in many industrial applications including photocopier machines.
All the other claims in the report and secondary accusations stemming from the "Laptop of Death", a computer literally handed to the US by the MEK in 2004 containing all sorts of incriminating materials.
But there are many reasons to suspect this is another fraud like the forged "Yellow Cake" documents referred to be George W. Bush in his 2003 State of the Union speech. For one, many of the documents from the "Laptop of Death" are in English, a rather strange language to use on what are supposed to be top secret Iranian government documents. Second, while the IAEA was under Elbaradei, and much less politically driven, a request was made for the US to share the actual laptop and its contents with the IAEA for examination and verification. The US Government refused. The IAEA under Elbaradei refused to accept the word of the US Government that the laptop and its contents were genuine and the provided summaries accurate.
Now, of course, Elbaradei is gone and the IAEA under new leadership is considerably more pliant and agreeable to the pro-war agenda, as evidenced by their willingness to refer to the 2004 "Laptop of Death" without any proof that the contents actually came from Iran, or that the information provided by the US Government is an accurate portrayal of the contents. After the lies about Iraq, such gullibility is stupid and dangerous.
So here we are again. Israel is desperate to get the invasion of Iran going right now, before the Americans get kicked out of Iraq and leave the road from Iran to Israel wide open for a retaliatory invasion. And once again the presstitutes of the US media are assuring us there is good reason to destroy Iran, just as they assured us there was good reason to destroy Iraq.
Please share this with everyone falling for the
"Attack Iran" crap.
The new report claims that it cannot disprove the existence of an Iranian nuclear weapons program.
So these bozos have rediscovered the principle that you cannot prove a negative and think this is a reason to go to war. This same argument applies to every nation on Earth. None of them can be proven NOT to have a nuclear program.

United states Secretary with State Hillary Clinton seems to have called upon Iran to reply to the most recent report through the International Nuclear Power Firm (IAEA) with Tehran’s atomic ventures.
The actual Islamic Republic has currently turned down the particular report just as groundless as well as politically inspired.
“Within the approaching days and nights, all of us anticipate Iran to reply to the intense concerns brought up with this report, Hillary Clinton stated around the side lines of the Asia-Pacific summit within Honolulu upon Friday, Online City Newspaper and Daily Headlines noted.
They did reply, Hillary. They said you are full of shit.
And they are right.
Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) on Tuesday said the U.S. must consider using military force against the Islamic Republic of Iran as an option for preventing it from developing a nuclear weapon.
Okay Joe, if you are dumb enough to believe the same people who lied about Iraq's nuclear weapons and insist on attacking Iran, we are with you. Here's your rifle. Here's your parachute. Don't trip climbing into that airplane, and we'll call Tehran and tell them you are on your way, you dumb bastard!
WASHINGTON (AFP) - Accusing President Barack Obama of naivete on Iran, Republican presidential challenger Mitt Romney promised Thursday that if elected president he would "prepare for war" with the Islamic republic.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Friday called on her country's allies, specially the US, to fully exploit diplomatic efforts over Iran's nuclear issue, rather than discussing the possibility of military solution.
In an interview with German newspaper Leipziger Volkszeitung's weekend edition, Merkel said that diplomatic solutions to Iran's nuclear issue "have not exhausted" and there is, thus, no justification for the US to speak of war.
International community should "exploit all the diplomatic room to maneuver and Germany can make a contribution," she added.
Memo to German Chancellor Merkel: it is very difficult for American politicians, from the President on down, to hear or speak the word "diplomacy" concerning its approach to Iran, because of the vice-like grip of Israeli political pressure on US leadership.
What Israel wants to see happen regarding Iran is an American attack against it, preferably before the end of this year (with US troops still in Iraq to catch the bullets from an Iranian counterattack), so that it will be the Americans who die, and get maimed for life, and of course, with American taxpayers footing the bill.
Such an attack could well generate not only a regional conflict, but also an all-out world war.
And Chancellor Merkel, just because such an attack would be one of the most colossally stupid, bone-headed, and ham-fisted attempt to stop Iran's nuclear program (which, so far, has proved to be completely peaceful), please don't bet against those in the bowels of power in DC doing this!
Defence Minister Peter MacKay says he plans to ask his Israeli counterpart Ehud Barak about reports that Israel's leaders have discussed plans to attack Iran's nuclear sites.
Mr. Barak, who along with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has taken a tough line on Iran, is due to visit Canada next week.
If Canadian Defense Minister MacKay believes for one moment, that he is going to get a more definitive statement than Obama got from Netanyahu and Barak on a potential Israeli strike against Iran, I wish him luck; but I doubt that's going to happen.
Israel and the US are literally nations of sadists, necrophiliacs, haematophiliacs, fetishists and copraphiliacs, sexually addicted to orgies of torture, gross death and destruction, rivers of blood, dismemberment, and foul putrifaction. Our own Prime Minister and his minions enjoy it all vicariously - it's glorious, it's the highest calling, says "Christian" Harper.
And besides, Petie Mackay's (Canada's Minster of "Defense" /SR) chronic myopia has him worried (he says "Canada is concerned") about "many of the alarmist and very threatening words that have been directed toward Israel in the past and in recent days", and is looking forward to receiving Mr. Barak's wisdom in this matter when he visits Canada next week, having none of his own to offer.
While the American kids are still stuck in Iraq, right in the path of the Iranian counter-attack.
Israel is working on improving its nuclear weapons capabilities, according to a report by the independent Trident commission in the United Kingdom that was published in the Guardian newspaper on Monday.
But Iran's power station is the problem, right?
Since the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster (HAARP/Stuxnet?) in March of 2011, there has been a significant increase in nuclear incidents, potential radiation release due to flooding, MSM unreported soil contamination related to Fukushima, and uptick in still births (Fukushima), and mysterious radiation contamination. Are these part of deliberate sabotage campaign; related to Israel’s declining image in the world due to its continuing apartheid policies vis a vis the Palestine and its continued efforts to undermine the political systems of the world's governments?
Secret papers show how Britain helped Israel make the A-bomb in the 1960s, supplying tons of vital chemicals including plutonium and uranium. And it looks as though Harold Wilson and his ministers knew nothing about it
Documents uncovered by Newsnight in the British National Archives show how, in 1958, Britain agreed to sell Israel 20 tonnes of heavy water, a vital ingredient for the production of plutonium at Israel's top secret Dimona nuclear reactor in the Negev desert.
Robert McNamara, President John F Kennedy's defence secretary, has told Newsnight he is "astonished" at the revelation that Britain kept this secret from America.
A TELEVISION documentary in which Shimon Peres, Israel's foreign minister, discloses for the first time details about Israel's acquisition of nuclear weapons is to be broadcast in the Arab world. It is intended, at a time of rising tensions, as a warning.
Israel has long been assumed to possess nuclear weapons. The fact Israel's leaders routinely refused to discuss it did not diminish the certainty with which this conviction was held by the country's Arab neighbours, nor their strong objections to it. But continuing official ambiguity served a useful purpose in that neither side was forced to confront the issue full on. Now the veil has been torn aside.
Proof that Israel is, without any doubt, a nuclear weapons state, means an end to nods, winks and blind eyes. It confirms Israel as the Middle East's premier armed power. And it challenges all the countries of the region, including Iran, to address, separately or jointly, the threat inherent in the resulting, now undeniable military imbalance.
This paper is a history of the Israeli nuclear weapons program drawn from a review of unclassified sources. Israel began its search for nuclear weapons at the inception of the state in 1948. As payment for Israeli participation in the Suez Crisis of 1956, France provided nuclear expertise and constructed a reactor complex for Israel at Dimona capable of large-scale plutonium production and reprocessing. The United States discovered the facility by 1958 and it was a subject of continual discussions between American presidents and Israeli prime ministers. Israel used delay and deception to at first keep the United States at bay, and later used the nuclear option as a bargaining chip for a consistent American conventional arms supply.
This is an image of the Dimona facility taken by a US Corona spy satellite in 1971 (Mission 1115-2, 29 September 1971, Frame: 52, 53). It is physically impossible to take a similar image within the atmosphere as Israel jealously protects the airspace above Dimona. In the 1960s an Israeli Airforce Mirage was shot down when it accidentally ventured too close to Dimona.
Israel began actively investigating the nuclear option from its earliest days. In 1949, HEMED GIMMEL a special unit of the IDF's Science Corps, began a two-year geological survey of the Negev desert with an eye toward the discovery of uranium reserves. Although no significant sources of uranium were found, recoverable amounts were located in phosphate deposits.
Mordechai Vanunu brought his camera to work in late 1985, shortly before leaving his eight-year stint as a technician at Israel's nuclear weapons factory at Dimona.
Acting on his conscience, he carefully took about 60 photos of the top-secret labs and unique production processes involved. When some of these photos were originally published in the London Sunday Times' exposé, they confirmed his eyewitness testimony about the extent of Israel's nuclear weapons program and revealed Israel to be one of the world's top nuclear powers. To this day, the Israeli government refuses international inspection of Dimona and continues to deny the existence of its nuclear arsenal.
Mordechai Vanunu, Israel's nuclear whistleblower, was jailed in 1986 for publishing photographs of Israel's nuclear bomb factory at Dimona. Olenka Frenkiel reveals the extent of Israel's nuclear gagging. The Sunday Times Revelations hit the press in October 1986. Vanunu has spent 17 years in jail, a11 of which were in a minute solitary confinement cell - and he has just had his appeal for parole denied. He will stay in jail until 2004, when his term is expected to end. Sunday Times journalist Peter Hounam heard rumours in 1986 that an Israeli whistleblower was offering proof of what the world had long suspected. His revelations confirmed that Israel was building advanced nuclear weapons.
Israel has hundreds of neutron weapons. The neutron bombs would allow Israel to stop advancing Arab armies and tank columns - even one on Israeli soil - without permanently contaminating the land.
At least one massive explosion at a military weapons depot near the Iranian capital Tehran on Saturday killed several people and was felt at least 45 km miles away, local media reported.
The Revolutionary Guards - Iran's elite military force - said a munitions store at a base in Bidganeh, near the city of Karaj, had exploded, according to a statement carried by the semi-official Fars news agency.
Sabotage ahead of the main attack?
Speaking at the Security Innovation Network (SINET) "Showcase 2011" shindig at the National Press Club in Washington, Alexander told security grifters eager to gouge taxpayers for another piece of lucrative "cybersecurity" pie: "What I'm concerned about are the destructive attacks. Those are the things yet to come that cause us a lot of concern."
That's rather rich coming from the head of a secretive Pentagon satrapy suspected of designing and launching the destructive Stuxnet virus which targeted Iran's civilian nuclear program.
According to fresh evidence provided by IT security experts it now appears that the same constellation of shadowy forces which unleashed Stuxnet are at it again with the newly discovered Duqu spy Trojan.
Okay, Allan, if you insist; here's your parachute. Here's your rifle. Don't trip climbing into the transport plane. We'll call Tehran and tell them you are on your way. Have fun. Don't forget to write.
British intelligence chiefs have warned that Israel will launch military action to thwart Iran’s nuclear weapons development efforts as early as Christmas, according to a report in The Telegraph.
The United Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency this week confirmed that Iran is developing a nuclear warhead that could fit on an existing missile.
... while those Americans kids are still in Iraq to block the Iranian counter-attack.
"It's not our kids stuck in Iraq right in the path of the Iranian retaliation!"
Right-wing parties blame Israel human rights organizations for aiding what they call 'campaign to delegitimize Israel', and have turned them into a scapegoat.
Is Israel planning an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities? For months now, former Mossad chief Meir Dagan has been publicly warning against such prospects. He's hoping to prevent what he believes could be a catastrophe. His statements, however, have deeply angered the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Report by one of Israel’s largest brokerage houses, Clal Finance, says military action against Iran nuclear sites will be deterred by forecast of rising oil prices and damage to global trade; UN’s Ban Ki-moon urges against military strike.
A leading Israeli investment firm said on Thursday any military strike on Iranian nuclear facilities would exact an economic price too high for the world to accept, and as a result, it would likely acquiesce to a nuclear Iran.
A sharp rise in the price of oil, the costs of war and the damage to global trade would be too great and deter world powers from taking any serious action, said Amir Kahanovich, chief economist at Clal Finance, one of Israel’s largest brokerage houses.
In comments broadcast today on Hezbollah-run al-Manar TV, the Shi’ite movement’s leader Hassan Nasrallah cautioned the US and Israel against attacking Iran, saying such a move would start a war across the entire region. He also warned a Western invasion of Syria would have a similar outcome.
“I’m not threatening, but anyone with sense can see that,” Nasrallah said. He also expressed confidence that Iran would be capable of defending itself from any such attack.
Mr. Nasrallah is actually conservative in his evaluation of the horrendous consequences of such a military misadventure.
If Russia enters the fray on the side of Iran, Israel and the US will be fighting a war against a country which actually has nuclear weapons.
War with Russian, anyone?!? Thought not.
Russia should do its best to prevent a military operation in Iran, believes head of the Russian parliamentary Committee for International Affairs, Konstantin Kosachev.
“A military operation against Iran could have grave consequences,” he told journalists on Thursday. “And Russia should make every effort to control emotions, bring negotiations back into the field of political and expert discussion, and not allow any such action against Iran”.
Bless you, Konstantin Kosachev: I hope those in the bowels of power in DC and Tel Aviv are listening.
Thinking Americans do not support such an attack at all!
Russia and China warn America against Iran strike as tensions rise ahead of damning atomic agency report
Russia and China have expressed growing concern about a possible American military strike against Iran over its nuclear programme.
And this week the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is to publish a damning report with 'compelling evidence' that Iran is secretly building an arsenal of nuclear warheads.
Fresh details suggest that Iran could even be 'nuclear ready' within months.
And laying bare the disturbing extent of the country’s atomic weapons programme will increase calls in the United States for pre-emptive action against the Islamic state.
And that plays into the hands of Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who is said to be pushing for an airstrike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Russia on Wednesday vehemently criticised a U.N. nuclear watchdog report saying Iran appeared to have worked on designing an atom bomb, saying it contained no new evidence and was being used to undercut efforts to reach a diplomatic solution, reports Reuters.
Sharpening opposition to any new sanctions against Iran in the U.N. Security Council, where Russia has veto power, senior diplomats said further punitive measures would be "destructive" and urged a revival of talks between Tehran and global powers.
The Russian remarks came during a visit by a senior Iranian official for talks on the programme which Tehran says is peaceful but the United States and its allies fear is aimed at developing the capability to build atomic weapons.
Russia and China have voiced their opposition to fresh sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program, the Russian Foreign Ministry has announced.
After a meeting in Moscow, Russian and Chinese diplomats expressed “the mutual conviction that the application of new, additional sanctions against Iran will not lead to the desired result,” Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, Reuters reported on Thursday.
Earlier on Thursday, Chinese Foreign Ministry rejected the idea of imposing additional sanctions against Iran, calling for further dialogue to resolve concerns about the Islamic Republic's nuclear issue.
Azerbaijan, Baku - Iran seeks to become a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Iranian Supreme National Security Council's Secretary Assistant Ali Bageri said, INTERFAX reported.
"We have already submitted a relevant application," Bageri said at a news conference in Moscow.
Currently, Iran, India, Mongolia and Pakistan have an observer status in the six-nation SCO. Representatives of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan participate in the organization's meetings as guests. Belarus and Sri Lanka have a dialog partner status at the SCO. Afghanistan also applied for an observer status in 2011.
The SCO is a regional international organization established in 2001 by the leaders of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
Developments over the last 24 hours suggest that Israel could be forced to go it alone in launching a military assault on Iran’s nuclear facilities, with the United States and NATO backing away from becoming involved in a conflict that would spark economic and geopolitical turmoil.
Israel never fights their own wars. They are masters at tricking other people into doing their wars for them, such as the failed attempt to sink USS Liberty and blame Egypt for it, not to mention the "Dancing Mossad" arrested at the World Trade Towers and their links to 9-11.
What Israel is going to do, probably before the end of November, is attack Iran, then scurry home. Iran will wish to retaliate. Who wouldn't? But the road from Iran to Israel passes through Iraq and right now Iraq has all those American kids standing in the way to catch the bullets from an Iranian attack on Israel, and Obama will gladly declare war on Iran for attacking "us", trading away the lives of thousands of young Americans in exchange for Israel's support in next year's elections.
Israel is not "going it alone." Israel will start the war and your kids will have to finish it, because as Gene Simmons put it, "That's what Gentiles are for!"
The US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta has said a military strike against Iran could have "unintended consequences".
He said it would only delay Iran's nuclear efforts by three years at most.
Correspondents say the comments appear to play down speculation that a military strike might be used to cripple Tehran's nuclear programme.
Military action against Iran could have "unintended consequences" in the region, the US defence secretary, Leon Panetta, said on Thursday, hours after Tehran warned that an attack against its nuclear sites would be met with "iron fists".
Panetta, who took over the Pentagon's top job in July, said he agreed with the assessment of his predecessor, Robert Gates, that a strike on Iran would only delay its nuclear programme, which the west believes is aimed at making an atomic bomb.
"You've got to be careful of unintended consequences here," Panetta told reporters at the Pentagon.
However, Panetta said military action remained a last resort in the US and Israeli view, and stressed Washington's efforts to win tougher sanctions against Tehran.
There is one word Panetta carefully avoids using in this interview: that word is, "Israel". And considering the barking-mad geopolitics of Israel's leadership, I understand why he didn't say it.
Israel is the complete wild card here, and may - or may not - chose to attack Iran, and US government officials - including Panetta - don't really know if the US will get any kind of a heads up as to when it will occur. In a recent conversation with U.S. Secretary of Defense Panetta, Netanyahu and Barak reportedly gave only vague responses on Israel's intentions regarding Iran's nuclear facilities and possibility of independent action.
Israel understands that although they may well start such an attack, it cannot successfully be completed without US military intervention. A Washington official acknowledged that the temperature has been rising and that Israel introduced an unpredictable element. But he reiterated that the policy of the Obama administration was to pursue all diplomatic channels, backed by tougher sanctions, and to avoid military action. "I don't think the US has the stomach for it," said Sam Gardiner, a retired air force colonel who has specialised in war games involving Iran. But if Israel went ahead, it would be hard for the US to stay out. "The US would have to be involved and finish it," he said.
I wouldn't bet against such an attack, or a false flag against an American asset, used as the "excuse du jure" for a military confrontation, before the end of this year (while our military are still in Iraq to catch the shrapnel).
But I would like to hope that those in the bowels of power in DC remember the following: we may very well not win this one, because of the following issues:
1. Because our manufacturing has been primarily outsourced, the Federal government and the military are going to have critical difficulty meeting supply chain demands of such a conflict.
2. Our troops are stretched almost to the breaking point. Even with the re-introduction of the draft, there wouldn't be enough boots on the ground in time to be able to win this.
3. With an ever-ballooning 14 trillion dollars in debt, from the current wars which have left this government morally and fiscally bankrupt, no lender in their collective right mind would loan the US government the money it would take to prosecute such a war.
4. If nuclear-armed Russia and China join the side of Iran in this military misadventure, we are not just looking at the risk of only a small regional conflict, but potentially a global, World War 3-scenario war, to which Panetta alludes when he used the phrase "...unintended consequences."
The U.S. is still engaged in negotiations with Kuwait over redeploying there thousands of U.S. combat troops now exiting Iraq, despite initial push-back from the Gulf state.
“Discussions are underway” with Kuwaiti leaders while no final agreement has been reached, anonymous senior defense official told the Associated Press.
The United States already has well over 20,000 forces in Kuwait more or less permanently, but commanders and administration officials are seeking to boost the military’s presence in the region, citing concern over Iranian influence and the need to have proximate forces ready to attack in case of instability in Iraq.
This has nothing to do with Iraq, whose government has told the US military to get out and stay out; Moqtada Al Sadr, the popular Shiite cleric, has warned that if one American stays beyond 31 December, he and his military will unleash hell. Sadr, whose Mehdi Army militia once battled U.S. and Iraqi troops, has opposed any U.S. military footprint and his bloc is a key part of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's fragile coalition. "We do not accept any kind of U.S. presence in Iraq, whether it is military or not," Sadr said in an interview aired on al-Arabiya television. "If they stay in Iraq, through a military or non-military (presence) ... we will consider them an occupation and we will resist them whatever the price will be. Even a civilian presence, we reject it," the cleric said.
If the US is pressuring the Kuwaiti government to allow more combat troops, this almost certainly has to do with pre-positioning US troops for a potential attack against Iran.
WASHINGTON (AFP) - The United States is negotiating with Kuwait to allow several thousand US combat troops now in Iraq to redeploy to the Gulf emirate to counter Iran's influence in the region, US defense officials said Thursday...
The U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, in a move initiated by the Obama administration, has voted to waive Bush-era human rights restrictions on military aid to the Islam Karimov dictatorship in Uzbekistan, one of the most brutal and repressive regimes on the planet. The lifting of the restrictions, now part of the Foreign Operations bill, is before the full Senate and appears to have bipartisan support. The Obama administration has indicated that it intends to provide taxpayer-funded military assistance to Uzbekistan once the legislation passes both houses of Congress.
"We have always been at war with Eastasia!"
The Obama administration is making this controversial move in order to open the Central Asian nation to transit military equipment and other supplies in and out of Afghanistan, particularly after neighboring Kyrgyzstan looks likely to close its U.S. military base in Manas when the lease runs out in 2014. Potentially of greater consequence, Pakistan has threatened to cut off supply routes to U.S. forces in that landlocked country, so there is a scramble to look for alternatives. Unfortunately, as defenders of administration policy have put it, Afghanistan is surrounded by dictatorships, leaving them little choice but to provide assistance in return for transit rights.
The Pentagon’s shadow war in Africa could have a new front, if reports coming out of Nigeria are accurate. U.S. troops are headed to Nigeria to help local forces do battle with Boko Haram, an Islamic terror group that has killed up to 400 people this year in an escalating campaign of bombings and shootings. At least that’s what Nigerian military sources tell Scott Morgan, a journalist based in Washington, D.C. who writes under the pseudonym “Confused Eagle.” The Guardian also has the story.
U.S. officials have refused to confirm the deployment.
How many countries does the US have to invade before it's a true world war?!?!?
An all-out offensive against the Al-Shabaab Islamic resistance movement based in Somalia is currently underway in the southern region of this Horn of Africa nation. A combined force of U.S. Predator drones and French naval vessels is targeting four towns in the southern region so that Kenyan military forces on the ground can seize Kismayo, a port city under the control of Al-Shabaab. The city is a major source of trade and serves as the economic lifeline for the resistance movement, which has been labeled by the U.S. as a terrorist organization allied with al-Qaida.
More resource wars, against people who have the temerity to be sitting over resources the US government has appropriated for its corporations.
The United States is planning to sell thousands of advanced "bunker-buster" bombs and other ammunitions to the United Arab Emirates, as a part of its efforts to counter Iran.
The plan comes after US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta’s statement that the country opposed the Iranian nuclear programme, but using force against Iran was the last option.
The proposed package would authorise the sale of up to 4,900 joint direct attack munitions (JDAMs) and other weapons to the UAE, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The U.S. is leading an effort to water down an international ban on cluster bombs, weapons that are widely considered to be inherently indiscriminate.
Ahmed Kamel, 12-year old Iraqi, victim of US cluster bomb
The Convention on Cluster Munitions prohibits cluster munitions, requires the destruction of stockpiles within eight years, and has been signed by 111 countries, while the U.S. has steadfastly refused to sign it. In a proposal that meant to neuter the convention, Washington now is pushing to permit the use of cluster bombs as long as they were manufactured after 1980 and had a failure rate of less than one per cent.
Take a good hard look at the kid in the photo. He has a name: it is Ahmed Kamel, a 12 year old Iraqi child who had his hands blown off by one of these cluster bombs. He had a family; perhaps he dreamed of a future; but that future has been stolen from him. This is not "collateral damage"; this is a real, maimed-for-life, child, for God's sake!
And "...the Obama administration is currently leading the cause to keep them legal."?!?!?
What kind of monsters are we dealing with here?!?The worst kind; the kind who love money, and don't care where they make it. And here is the money trail.
In April 2009, Barclays and HSBC were involved in a major financing deal with Extrusion, a US arms manufacturer that builds a "sensor fused weapon" – the world's most powerful cluster bomb. Alliant Techsystems makes the weapon's rocket motor. Textron issued $757.4m worth of bonds and shares with the financial aid of a 10-bank syndicate. HSBC and Barclays combined underwrote $44.6m worth of loans. Barclays then went on to invest a further $75m in a separate Textron bond deal five months later. The report on the banks, a joint piece of research by the Dutch and Belgium NGOs IKV Pax Christi and Netwerk Vlaaneren, reveals that since May 2008, 166 financial institutions across the world have invested an estimated $39bn in the eight largest cluster-munitions manufacturers. None of these investments is illegal. But they will lead to further concerns about the moral behaviour of the banking industry at a time of public anger over its role in the credit crisis and bankers' bonuses.
Exxon Mobil's oil and gas exploration agreement with Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurds, who're at odds with Baghdad over the country's energy wealth, marks a significant, and tantalizing, departure by U.S. oilmen amid the current military withdrawal.
The breakaway move into Kurdistan, the first by any of the oil majors operating in Iraq under 20-year production contract signed in 2009, could cost Exxon Mobil its stake in the giant West Qurna Phase One mega-oil field in southern Iraq.
Although this deal was reported in the Guardian on-line The American energy giant Exxon Mobil today won the right to develop one of the world's most prized untapped oil reserves, in a $50bn (£30bn) deal that will entrench the company as one of the largest players in postwar Iraq. and also at Reuters when it happened, I certainly do not remember hearing a lot of fanfare on this deal by Corporate news outlets.
But that wasn't enough; they just had to do a separate deal with the Kurds, to the outrage of the Iraqi government. It will be interesting to see how this plays out; but it is clear now, that at least one US corporations got its blood-soaked oil deals as of 2009. Looks like their campaign contributions to the Bush/Cheney regime finally paid off, from 1999 forward.
HONOLULU, Hawaii (AFP) - US President Barack Obama told China's President Hu Jintao on Saturday that Americans were "frustrated" and "impatient" at the pace of change in Beijing's economic policy...

The Pentagon lifted the veil of secrecy Wednesday on a new battle concept aimed at countering Chinese military efforts to deny access to areas near its territory and in cyberspace.
The Air Sea Battle concept is the start of what defense officials say is the early stage of a new Cold War-style military posture toward China.
The plan calls for preparing the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps to defeat China’s “anti-access, area denial weapons,” including anti-satellite weapons, cyberweapons, submarines, stealth aircraft and long-range missiles that can hit aircraft carriers at sea.
A senior Obama administration official was more blunt, saying the new concept is a significant milestone signaling a new Cold War-style approach to China.
You can almost hear US defense contractors salivating in financial ecstasy at the concept!
But I have to wonder here; With a 14 trillion Federal dollar deficit, and so many people seriously hurting financially here, just where the heck is the money is going to come from?!?
'Cause We the People just don't have it!
A Palestinian bid for full United Nations membership has failed to win approval in the U.N. Security Council committee that deals with new members. Friday’s outcome was not unexpected.
The committee met Friday to adopt a report saying the 15 members were “unable to make a unanimous recommendation to the Security Council” to admit the Palestinians. The committee will now send the report to the council, which will decide what, if any, actions to take.
The Palestinians, frustrated by stalled peace talks with Israel, launched a bid for statehood via the United Nations in September. But several member states, including the United States, have said the only road to statehood goes through peace talks.
France apparently is the first country to officially recognise the Palestinian Occupied Territories as a nation. This is definitely an indication that Palestine will soon be recognised as a State.
My thoughts, in the meantime, were with the boat's activists, who pledged to peacefully resist being taken out of the boat. They agreed that they would only leave the boat by being forcibly dragged. As I was searched, I heard Heap screaming inside the facility. "Ehab, can you hear me?," "Majd, can you hear me?," "Kit, can you hear me?," "Karen, can you hear me?," "Michael, can you hear me?" His calls echoed in the large detention facility, piercing through its noisy corridors. But I heard no responses from fellow activists.
Organizers say several activists, including a Canadian, were beaten when Israeli authorities boarded a Canadian vessel trying to bring supplies to Gaza.
“There is one Canadian, from London, Ont., who was harshly beaten,” said Dylan Penner, an Ottawa-based spokesman for the group Canadian Boat to Gaza.
Activists aboard a Canadian ship trying to breach the naval blockade of Gaza were beaten by Israeli troops who intercepted the vessel, protest organizers in Ottawa and Montreal charged Saturday.
Israel has said no one was hurt in its takeover of the Canadian-owned Tahrir and an Irish vessel Friday, but organizers for the group "Canadian Boat to Gaza" claimed otherwise.
The following letter was sent out by David Heap, one of the Canadian passengers from the Canadian Tahrir ship, as he is still in an Israeli prison.
Canada’s foreign affairs minister, John Baird, reacted swiftly last month when word reached him that the Palestinian Authority’s envoy to Ottawa had promoted a YouTube video in which a Palestinian girl urged sympathizers to “destroy the Jews.” Linda Sobeh Ali’s re-Tweet of the video, Baird made clear, had ended her credibility as a diplomat in Canada.
Canadian reaction did not shift when subsequent reporting clarified that the offensive English subtitle had mistranslated the girl, who actually called on sympathizers to support a war devoted to “destroying oppression and kill[ing] the soul of Zionism.” Ali herself apologized profusely, saying she had re-Tweeted the poem without actually viewing the video herself. But the P.A. was forced to call her home.
When Americans finally free themselves of Israeli shackles, will Canada obediently invade?

Democracy and social justice campaigners in Egypt say that HSBC bank is colluding with the Egyptian military generals currently running the country, in order to intimidate them and stifle their legitimate activities.
A range of NGOs and human rights groups say the global banking giant has been contacting them over the last two months, requesting information and documents relating to their work and activities in Egypt.
The New Egypt is starting to act a lot like the Old Egypt.
Parler de la video suivante qui explique comment l’Égypte risqué d’être prise en sandwich entre Israël d’un bord et l’OTAN de l’autre qui pourraient lancer une offensive armée sur le sol même, via les airs et blocus maritime.
It's the end of an era for Italy - as Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi declares he's throwing in the towel after a scandal-ridden decade in power. His promised resignation comes with a precondition however - that Parliament passes a series of budget cuts to keep its sinking economy afloat.
Explications.
Mon premier s’appelle Mario Draghi.
Mon second s’appelle Loukas Papadimos.
